I went to Verizon to switch five phones for the free iPhones however, how free are they whenever you have to pay for insurance that they recommend for $20 a phone per month for three years? It was a very confusing process all I wanted to know was how much it was going to be for 5 phones and it took over an hour and a half. The first offer was double what we are paying now ;then the sales clerk Went back and saw other discount he could give me -all in all it still would be significantly more than what we were paying right now. I have to say I was a bit frustrated and annoyed at Verizon. I needed to return a tv set box and get a new remote for another box. I went on line and it said I could return the merchandise to this location. I went in and almost all the reps were sitting at a big table talking to each other. There were about 10 people in the store none being helped. I was looking around and the store is very big and it seems is mostly dedicated to selling cell phones and maybe internet. I did manage to track down a person to help and they said they did not take back boxes there and gave me an address near by that I could go. I just had the absolute worst experience here. I ordered a phone case to the store and it was ready to pick up. I WAITED TWO HOURS AFTER CHECKING IN ON THE STUPID KIOSK AND I SAW MY NAME DISAPPEAR LIKE MY CASE WASN'T AVAILABLE ANYMORE. There were two workers- both with customers so I patiently waited. I'm looking to leave A&T and wanted quotes from competitors. Yesterday I went to the McKnight Verizon store and was told it would be an hour just to speak to someone or I could make an appointment to come back today. I was told if I made the appointment I'd be the first name called after I checked in. After I checked in and 3 different names were called and none of them were mine. At least Verizon made my decision of which company to switch to easy. If that's how you treat a customer before they even sign up I can't imagine how you treat them once they are locked into a plan. read more

He said I was eligible for a phone upgrade ( I wasn't) and forced me to take another phone line so he could get credit for a sale! He screwed up my accounts with Netflix and Disney. I recently switched to Verizon Wireless and had the most awful time trying to port my old phone number with several trips to my former carrier and after several attempts at using Verizon's live chat I gave up and went into the store. Brandon and Dennis were extremely helpful. They spent over two hours talking to my former carrier, customer support and getting my phones set up. My friend that came with me was so impressed with their customer service that she added an internet service and new phone to her existing plan. Could not recommend Dennis or Brandon more (there were 3 other employees there being so friendly too but I didn't catch their names). read more

The worst experience with a sales associate I believe her name was Larissa. I should report this branch to the better business bureau for scamming customers. All I wanted was my free upgrade on my phone. A simple free upgrade because I wanted a new device. The process started with her "quoting" me which is interesting considering I wanted my FREE upgrade. She came out with two pages the iPhone pro and pro max. She told me that she could save me $4 a month if I add on a fourth line, change my phone number on the new phone and keep my old phone active for no reason for a "discount". I work in sales and this is baiting and a load of bs. Why would I add on a fourth line when there are only 3 people on the plan! I tell her absolutely not I do not want another line and have to change my phone number and pay on another device are you joking. She then becomes very rude and tells me that the free upgrade is now off the table and I need to pay full price for the phone because I am not adding a line. I was so tired of her utter bs I paid $250 for the new phone and I saved absolutely no money. She then tops off this lovely experience by handing me the pro max when I only agreed to pay for the pro! I left the store in tears because I have no idea what I just paid for and I saw so many elderly people in the store that these people probably take advantage of. All I wanted was an updated phone to do my job and there was also a $20 a month protection plan I never authorized that she refused to take off because she wanted to "help me". She then handed me the box and told me to set it up myself and to get rid of my other device because I cannot turn it in and if they are to set up my new device it's $50 on top of everything! I don't know who I need to contact to cancel my services wirh Verizon but I want to switch to another carrier ASAP. read more

Why is going to the Verizon store so incredibly stressful?! EVERY time! This was my first time at this store and was impressed by how large it was. The man that greeted us at the door and added me to the queue was very nice. We walked around waiting (maybe 10 minutes) for an employee to help us. Jermaine was assigned to us and was very nice. I explained to him that I wanted to upgrade my Galaxy from the S20 to S22 Ulta. I told him my app told me I was ready for an upgrade and eligible for a $1,000 trade in. He nodded and went in the back to get a "quote" for what my phone was worth. I'm not sure why this took 20 minutes, but he came out with a sheet of what my new bill would be. He literally read off the paper circling numbers all over the sheet without explaining in detail. Everything took forever and I hate when a salesperson is trying to sell you extra things. I always go prepared to these types of places because I don't want to be scammed. He was nice, but was still trying to sell me extra things. I didn't want an extra streaming device or a new watch, even though the quotes reflected that. When I was told my old device was only worth $400, I was really annoyed. He ended up doing 2 other quotes after I kept asking for more details and showing what the app promotion showed. Eventually he agreed to open another line to get $500 value of my phone trade in + $10 off per line. I guess this was the best savings, but I'm honestly not even sure. I literally dread getting a new phone every couple years because I always feel like I'm at a rental car place. Everyone ends up angry and frustrated until you finally just agree with what they say. At the end I asked to pay a down payment on the phone and he told me that I had to pay it over 36 months. I was offering to pay the phone in advance and he told me no. Another rep came over and said of course, that's no problem. He really helped me. I appreciate them trying to help, but honestly will order my next phone online and just wing it. read more

Verizon on McKnight Rd in Pittsbugh needs a lesson in customer service. the manage, Brandon was rude, arrogant, and gave horrible customer service. I purchased an upgrade on the app for my son, as his battery was not holding charge, signed up for them to set it up. my son went in and Brandon never asked for id and handed my son a phone and walked away. my son waited an additional 45 min for Brandon to rudely tell him that he didn't have time to help him set up the phone or do his old phone trade in. I purchased a iPhone 11 on March 30. It is now a month and a half later and my phone is not receiving incoming or outgoing calls or texts. The only thing that is working is my apps. I took it to the boost that I purchased it at which is the one in Brentwood on Brownsville Road. He couldn't fix it. He said then said it might work with the new Sim card so he sent me to a different store to get another Sim card because he didn't have any, I get to the other store and get the Sim card I need and the CSR told me to give it two hours and my phone will be working, the next day my phone still wasn't working so I go to boost again they give me an eSIM. He also told me give it a couple hours to work and your phone will be fixed. This is going on five days. My phone is still not fixed. No help from Customer Service. No help from nobody. They're telling me to purchase a new phone. This phone is not even two months old. read more

My husband and I recently upgraded our iPhones. Not only did the sales person lie to us about a bundle price on the wireless chargers he upsold to us , but he also forced us to purchase a jet pack personal WiFi that "gave us a discount" on our plan. This is a discount we're entitled to anyway due to my husband's job. We didn't need to buy the jet pack to get the monthly payment we wanted, it the salesperson told us we did. When I called to complain about the issue, the manager, Leo, told us he couldn't do anything about the problem, and that it was our fault that we didn't understand what the salesperson (Andrew) told us - even though my husband and I both confirmed, verbally, the bundle price. No, the real issue is that the salesperson directly lied to our faces - a fact that I confirmed with Verizon customer service via the 800 number. If you're thinking about using this store, or any Verizon corporate store, just know that they can and will lie to you to sell you stuff you don't need. Do yourself a favor and just order your phones and accessories online instead. read more

As a former employee, please do not go to this store. The manager lied to my face as I spoke with current employees and friends of mine via text. He protected his reps even though they had lied and given my mother false information, and claimed that they didnt make money off the the changes and the line add to my account that they convinced my mother to do. As a former Verizon employee, this is the culture in this company, and this store promotes the "slam customers" culture in order to fill their quotas. Take your money elsewhere to a rep that write the information for you clearly and explains all changes before touching your account. And thank you god for customer care line. 1-800-922-0204. Press 0 to be connected to an employee instead of using the menu. I ended up needing a supervisor but at least things got fixed. End result. This place is pathetic! We went to purchase iPhone 7s (plus) and to switch over to Verizon from T-Mobile. We took 2 trips to this place. We got bad service the first day. The person assisting us did not have much idea of what was going on and had a very casual attitude about everything. We were sent back the first day as they required copies of our SSNs!! We told them specifically to save the iPhones that we had picked out but of course the next day when we went to pick them up, they said they no longer have them in store and on top of that they took half an hour just to tell us that. We decided not to switch over to Verizon because of their horrible horrible service!!! We went straight to T mobile and purchased iPhone 7s in our desired colors! Great experience here! I came in after a bad experience at the Settlers Ridge Verizon store and this location was like a breath of fresh air. The sales associate here, Janice was so very friendly and helpful. I was greeted right away at the door and their showroom is huge, open, and has a lot of product and different devices to try out. Janice heard my story about not knowing if or why my phone wasn't activated yet. She told me there was a waiting period before it got activated... but she was able to push it through right then and there. She was very helpful, super friendly and the overall vibe there from the entire staff was very positive. I was happy! read more

On September, 2019, my phone died. It was 7:30 in the evening. I did not realize the store closed at 8:00. There were 6 people ahead of me. I waited a half an hour. Heather was assigned to help me. Please notice that by this time, the location was closed. Heather helped me and never behaved in the least way as if I were inconveniencing her even though it took her an hour to get my phone sorted out! She is a gem! I must say that there were other members of the team staying late and helping other tardy customers as well. Watch out for Frank! The man is really good at telling you what you want to hear unfortunately my bill didn't reflect his words. Frank very skillfully told me my bill would be a certain price and he assured me multiple times when I asked him. So when my bill came in 40$ more then agreed on I went to the store to figure it out. After Frank greeted me I asked him why my bill was more he sat on his iPad for 10 minutes next to me in silence then said that's how much you're bill is because of the new phone. He apologized for the miscommunication which there really was none he tricked me quite well by leaving out the price of the phone on the monthly bill he confirmed with me. I spoke to corporate and they told me there's nothing they could do because it's past the 14 day return period(takes longer then 14 days to get a bill and realized you were tricked). I'm switching to Sprint tomorrow after one month at Verizon. Verizon is a good company but after Frank tricked me into a contract paying what we did not agree on I'd rather take my business somewhere else. However, sales associate Evan went above and beyond with everything imaginable when I switched back over to iphone from my 8 day affair with a Galaxy S8 Plus. Great personality! Tried to buy an LG G3 smartphone yesterday and left with nothing. I agree with Ron, if I could give less than one star, I would. The man who helped us, Ryan, tried to sell us everything under the sun. from headphones to beat pills to watches, etc. I wanted the LG G3 and learned that it came with a promotion for a free G Tab, which with our contract, would only be $10 a month, and with a promo they were running, our contract cost would go down $10 a month, so the tablet would pretty much be free with adjustments. Except none of these adjustments happened. I also added insurance to my phone, which was noted on my bill and it seems charged for but also didn't happen. Had to call customer service to get this all resolved and figure it out myself and I am still a little confused. Got weird confirmation emails afterwards that said the G Tab woud cost us $100/month. The G3 and G Tab were also on back order, which isn't anybody's fault, but still pretty annoying. Nothing makes sense with these transactions. So unhappy with my experience. read more

I was referred to visit this store by Matt Bowley who works at the Verizon Wireless (Wireless Zone Premium Retailer) located off 9028 St.Simon Way. Matt was very helpful in helping to identify a cell phone for my grandmother, but after realizing I was unable to return the device (in case there were issues) in VA he referred me to this store. Jake Calvin was beyond helpful and we spent approximately an hour in the store looking at various phones and cell phone plans. His customer service exceeded my expectation and my grandmothers. We were able to identify the best phone and plan to accommodate our budget. I would highly recommend anyone to this store and be sure to ask for Jake!! :-) read more

I paid way too much for the samsung phone, only to have it stop working after 7 months. I went to this store to get in replaced, and was told that I needed to buy a new phone.
