After about 4 minutes an new recording come on and said they have high call volume and couldn't help me and then disconnected. I did this 3 times and got the same results. On the fourth time I got into a que that said the rep would use dual authentication when the came on the line. I got that message 5 or 6 times but no rep came on. After being on hold for one hour, my home security system notified me the internet was back up. Never did get to speak to anyone. No option to speak with a person was presented. Tomorrow I will start looking into alternatives to Consolidated Communications. I would not even give my experience one star but zero stars was not an option.

Bad connections, useless modems (which they make you rent), service fees for the "wireless" feature, and a DATA CAP. They cannot control your NAT type either, which is absurd. I honestly cannot think of another company that data caps their internet, it's just ridiculous and really easy to hit the cap if you steam with any regularity or God forbid you're a gamer. Although their pricing is ridiculous, I found their customer service much more helpful than other ISPs in the area. Even if they can't do anything to help you, they do apologize and understand that tech savvy customers find their limitations irritating

Armstrong always suspects the customer as the problem. However, after all of these years, and many, many escalations, the issues still exist and appear to be getting worse. There were about 10 people in the store none being helped. I was looking around and the store is very big and it seems is mostly dedicated to selling cell phones and maybe internet. I did manage to track down a person to help and they said they did not take back boxes there and gave me an address near by that I could go. I find it disappointing that The main Verizon store in the area does not take make equipment.
