I am only giving them an extra star because they did what I asked them to do. But in the most unprofessional way possible. First they were all wearing football jerseys, ok, it was Sunday so that's cool. But as I looked around and saw that it was just a free-for-all. While the guy that was helping me change phones over worked on the computer he started up a conversation with the employee next to him about the party they were going to after work, all about video games and drinking. Seriously? I thought to myself. He had very little knowledge of what they even sold in the store. "Do you sell the FitBit bands?" Umm I'm not sure, then he walks across the store to ask someone else if they did. She took two steps to her right and pointed to the huge stack on display, clearly he must have been blind. Then I ask "Do you have the arm bands that will fit my phone? like for running" He again hesitates and asks someone else if they know the answer. So frustrating! If this were my first bad experience there, I wouldn't have felt the need to post about it, but I am here all the time and have never had a good experience. They over sell me, don't give me all the details and just piss me off. read more

I felt a little ill after our experience yesterday at the Verizon store. It could have been the questionable food at the Baja Fresh we ate afterward. But, no- it really was the see-sawing of our entire lengthy transaction. We were due for the "new every 2" deal, but, wouldn't you know it- the prices for the phones we wanted that Hubby had been quoted in an e-mail expired 2 days before! Then we needed to go back out on the floor to look for more affordable models. Bonus point for the salesman getting Hubby a gov't employee discount on the phone plan and accessories. Bonus point for finally having a device in house that will transfer your contacts and photos for you. Minus a point for his lame joke about it costing $10. Minus a point for his inability to transfer my pics when he could transfer Hubby's. Minus 2 points for screwing up the rebate process by ringing up the same phone twice, so now the UPC codes on the box and the rebate form don't match. So much for reminding us so often about the glorious $50 rebate per phone, that finally made us choose to go with the original phones we had wanted in the first place. So now I have to squeeze in a trip back to the store sometime very soon before the whole deal expires, or possibly and tragically lose my- wait for it....wait for it.... f-ing "Verizon Debit Card." WTF? The sales rep never said anything about a debit card. Can I only conveniently use it at a Verizon store? Shockingly, the rebate printout does not say specifically. I like my new phone well enough, and I have been a Verizon customer for many many years and have not ever had trouble with them. However, I don't think I'll shop anywhere but online again for my phone needs. The human factor made the shopping icky. read more

They wheeling deal you into a false contract, they offer you an extra item say try it for 14 days if you don't like it return it but forget to tell you there's a $35 restocking fee and it's not even a phone, a manager cannot come out and talk to you they can only stay in the back and the employees has to run back to talk to the manager, I have been with their company prior when it was ALLTEL for over 16 year, and I can't believe how much crap they tried to feed you, they lie to your face, I would never recommend the store I hope their corporate knows the crap they pull on people to make a sale! Lies and lies from these employees read more

My review is not for this location but for verizon overall. I recently traded in my phone for a new one and was supposed to get a $900 credit for my phone when three months later the credit still hasn't been applied to my account. So when I called in, probably for the 5th time possibly 6th, I was notified that they weren't giving me $900, they were giving $700. It is what is. I can't do anything to change it, but hopefully they actually change my bill this time. This point of this post is to make sure you clearly read the emails and papers they send you to sign because they're a slippery company and will screw you over if possible. read more

I love this store because the split second you walk in, someone is right there to greet you and guide you in the right direction. Hooray! You'll get told exactly what you want to hear, too! "Yes, ma'am! Your new iPhone can absolutely take pictures underwater." or "Sure! I can give you double the data for the same price." or "I can certainly transfer your photos from one phone to the other!) (that last one was actually my case) Great! Let me come back when your mysterious picture-transferring machines are working! Next visit..... "No, no, I'm sorry. Our machines do not transfer pictures between phones. But all you have to do is go home, hook up your old phone to your computer, wave your magic wand, pray to the Droid gods, do the Macarena for EXACTLY five minutes, and voila! Your pictures will magically appear on your pretty new iPhone!" I exaggerate a little, but seriously, he was totally speaking gibberish to me. After the pure hell I went through to get this phone and as many times as I had to visit this store, I assumed they would actually take care of me and follow through with what they said they could do. I guess all of these stores just have horrific communication. Don't they work on commission? Totally useless. read more

My husband and I came into this store on Saturday to upgrade our phones and to add him to my plan. We were put in the queue for a sales associate, and were then called over by a woman with blonde curly hair who basically refused to help us at all. Here's what happened: Unbeknownst to me my maiden name was still on my account, so when asked for my ID it didn't match up. Me -So how do I change my name on my account? Sale associate - Do you have anything on you with your old name on it? Me - No, that's my old name, everything I have on me now has my new name. So how do I go about changing my name on my account? Sales associate - If you don't have anything with your old name on it, I can't help you. Me - People get married all of the time and change their name, you're telling me I can't change my name on my account? Sales associate - Not at the store level Me- Fine, I guess I'll just figure it out myself..... I then walked out of the store and called their customer number to ask them how to change my name on my account since, the Sales Associate in the store wouldn't tell me how. I was told I just need to bring my marriage license into a STORE, and they could change it there. Um, I was just told in the store that I couldn't change my name there, but I guess that was a lie. The woman I dealt with clearly had no desire to help me. It's fine if you don't know the answer to something, but at least make the effort to find it out! I don't understand people that work in customer service, and totally lack it at the same time, isn't this your job? Congrats for earning my first 1 star review! If you need to go to a Verizon store, drive the 6 miles to the other one on 44th and Thomas where they actually will help you. read more

Okay, so I ended up having to replace my phone because I dropped it in a sink of water when I was house sitting. In December. Lost all my photos and music. It was a sad day. Fast forward two months, and it's barely keeping a charge and doing goofy things. Like calling my ex. Eek! I was still a month away from renewing my contract and desperate. As it turned out, I could change my contact, get a new phone that was priced into my monthly fee, and lose my unlimited data, all in one step. Who could resist? Oh, Verizon. After arriving shortly after they opened, I waited for an associate while checking out their selection of toys. I mean phones. Found an awesome Motorola that is smaller than my old one and it is red. Devilish. By the time Juan approached me to assist, I had my heart set on that phone. Juan was great at processing the sale and setting up my new purchase. The whole ordeal took about an hour, which seems long but he was very thorough. So, not entirely bad. By the time I left, I was happy. And Juan downloaded an app that got me a free smoothie from Jamba Juice. Score! The one entertaining aspect of this experience was witnessing all the angry white people. Silly crackers. Oh, Verizon. Keep it classy. read more

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS STORE to anyone? ONLY if you ask for Mark Para. This place was tough... it felt like a lifetime sitting there watching others feel the same way. Everyone patiently waiting for service, crossing our fingers that our name would be called next. Ha ha ha Thankfully, the representative helping us was awesome and saved the day! We were there for over 3 hours! First, my husband took care of things in his company's Business account. By the time it was my turn, I was exhausted and hungry... no, I was STARVING. I just wanted to leave and figure things out on a different day. The representative that helped us is Mike Para. I think he knew that I was no longer interested in the services based on my responses but he was still patient with me. Mike is very knowledgeable, he knows the company, his products, and services. I had plenty of time to look at phones while I waited and I was not sold on any phones or accessories - nothing. I just kept thinking of coffee, a big fat juicy burger, and dreaming of at least a vending machine inside their store. Being in this store can be depressing, especially when there's one or two of their reps just standing around... Anyway, Mike asked me a few questions to address my needs and concerns. 1, 2, 3... directs me to one side of the store and says, 'Have you seen this phone?' and I'm like, 'I don't like Motorola phones.' He goes on to tell me it has this, does that, options for this and that too. *snap fingers* Just like that, it was the phone that I didn't know I needed. Took 5 seconds! Freakin' Ay!!! But, that wasn't all. I wanted my bill cycle to start on a specific day, wasn't excited about any of the hundreds of cases available on the sales floor and I still needed to port my number from another carrier. He was able to do all of that in less than 30 minutes. I finally found a case I liked but not in the color of interest... Mike went to the back to look just in case and BOOM he had found the same case in the color that I wanted! So I ported my phone # and that was it. It almost seemed too easy. I didn't have to wait in the store for the actual transfer but it happened in less than an hour of activation. Haven't had any issues with the service but I was traumatized by the experience at the store. I don't want to go back. Customer service over the phone has been great. They have been very thorough with everything. Verizon coverage... Great! Cost of service... expensive Cost of phone... expensive (with or without a payment plan) Verizon Wireless store... BAD - your team should really consider making appointments or having a fast checkout for simple things. I'm sure not every customer has a complicated request. Waiting 3 hrs for NEW SERVICE that took 30 mins to set up is unacceptable when you still add an ACTIVATION FEE to get the service in the first place. Mark Para... 10 stars - the only reason I survived your store. read more

I get it you're busy, everyone seems to want to upgrade at the same time but teach your employees composure. I went to the Apple Store instead because the lady you had checking people in was very rude. I walked in and said I would like to upgrade my phone, no smile, no welcome just "iight there are 6 people ahead of you" she said it in a tone that made it sound like me walking in was a inconvenience to her. At the Apple Store I was greeted with a smile, they were happy everyone smiled at me and there was a wait but the lady that told me the wait time was friendly about it and even showed me some cool things to look at. I will NEVER go to a Verizon store again. Words to management, find out what Apple is doing and teach your employees correctly. read more

I'm seriously shocked that there are not more neg reviews on here about this place because I hear people bitching all the time. First of all, do not expect to make a quick 'in-and-out' experience. You walk in and put your name on the List.. yes, list with a capital L. What is interesting is they ask you what your question/comment/concern is but when you finally get called five hours later, they ask you to explain your question/comment/concern all over again. Let's just say you have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 and the roller ball does not work anymore. Hypothetically, of course. So the highly skilled guy behind the counter looks at it for 2 seconds and says "Oh, looks like it needs to be replaced..." I'm pretty sure I already said that. "Unfortunately, we don't have any of these in stock.." Wha? Come again? You don't have any more of one of your most popular phones in stock, in any of the 542 colors it comes in? Boy oh Boy. "Here, you can call this number and request they send you out a new one." Great, the same number that told me I had to go into the store to get it replaced. Oh brother what a bummer. read more

Worst store I have been to. If you ever go in avoid rachel worst sales rep that seemed clueless about everything. Someone needs to take her back into training and educate her on the things verizon has to offer and how to give good customer service. Having been a customer for this long I've never encountered someone who made me feel uncomfortable and like an idiot. Wonder if Sprint would do the same. Might have to check then out this weekend. read more

I'm really surprised that the other reviewers had such a bad time in this store. My last carrier was Alltel, and Verizon gobbled them up this year. Being a cell phone owner since the days when they came in a bag like a heavy small carry-on bag, I have to say I HAVE NEVER HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE IN A CELL PHONE STORE BEFORE. EVAH. I've had a Treo for many years. Last year, I dropped the phone and broke the screen. Went into the Alltel store and they literally said to me, "sorry you're screwed; we don't replace screens; you have no insurance; you're still under contract" - so my only solution was to buy a new one for $600 according to the very harried and unpleasant rotund pimply fellow at the Alltel store. Methinks there must be another way! So I got on line and found this PDAparts.com for replacement screens. They warn you: this voids any warranty!!! But it was "only" $70 so I went for it. They actually have a step-by-step video posted on YouTube on how to replace the screen. Scary, but my trusty friend/co-worker Chris is an engineer so he did the dirty work for me in about 5 minutes flat. YAY. Phone worked perfectly until.... one day... the screen just went blank. So I'm hosed now right? And it's December. The phone technically still WORKED, as in: it rings, and I can fumble to answer it... but I can't see who's calling or who is texting me or make calls... or read my emails... so it was kinda limiting. So with much trepidation I wandered myself over to the Verizon store on Camelback, figuring I was now only 1 month away from the end of my contract and maybe I just had to bite the bullet and switch to a new phone. They don't make the Treo 755p anymore, and I really didn't want to learn how to use a whole new phone... too busy. But I guess I gotta. So you walk in and they ask you: do you need service or sales, and what's your name? Service... Jane. They put you on a list which is on a big monitor, and tell you: you are 4th in line for service. Sigh... look around... and not 5 minutes later, I'm called up. The very friendly and CUTE guy who helped me took a look and agreed, the screen is fried. Do you want to pick out a new phone today, or can you wait a few days to get a refurbished 755p? Huh? I could get another 755p? Yes we will replace your phone but we don't have them HERE so you'd have to wait a few days. Um... okay... I guess I can wait, but, how much will that cost? "Oh, it'll be free." FREE? Sold! The people working there were joking around with each other, easy going and super helpful. There were other people in the store who were clearly stressed and in a bad mood, and from what I observed these folks were super-great at defusing them. Something good is going on at that shop and based on my experience (a) I highly recommend them; and (b) I'm sticking with Verizon! read more

"Someone will be with you in just second", we've heard before, right? I get so tired of it, that now I'm calling people on it...are you serious? As soon as I said "a second's up", BOOM, there's Dave, in my face...cool! It helped being there on a weekday evening, for the weekends are packed. Anywho, I was promptly helped with my data useage issue, and explained how the hotspot I was setting my tablet up for was NOT the culprit, but my laptop that was connected to it and all the many apps that it was running...made sense to me, but now what? I'm maxing out my data and I'm eatin' up the kilobytes like a cockroach in a C rated soup kitchen! It was suggested I call customer care, explain my delema, and plead for mercy. Only four stars, for now anyways...last week, I came in for a power cord/connection issue on my Android, and got shued away. Was made to think my only solution was suck it up and wait until next month when my contract was ready to renew...I was THAT CLOSE to going to the AT&T store! I'll hold off and see what customer care says tomorrow. ubreakwefix down the way helped me with my Android power connection, by the way. read more

I went to this store because I was running errands in that area. The guy in the front was very nice and passed me off to Jen. Jen started off with a bad attitude and made it feel like I was bothering her. I told her I needed a new phone(I dropped mine and it won't turn on)and she interrupted rudely asking for my ID and phone number. Long story short I didn't have an upgrade and was trying to get rid of me. She refused to show me any upgrade pricing like I wasn't privy to that information. I spoke with a nice lady on the phone from Verizon and I had a Verizon Edge upgrade or I could use the insurance. Jen DIDN'T offer any of those options. Absolutely awful customer service. Every time I come to this location they not only haven't helped me, but I've watched as several people aren't able to receive the help they need. This is by far the worst Verizon I have ever tried to go to. I scheduled an appointment to look at Apple watches but when I got there the security guard started coming at me aggressively and said I wouldn't be aloud in because they aren't showing watches right now. I also had a few questions regarding how my device dollars and a coupon code would work but Diego was not having It. Every time I tried to talk he would interrupt me. I just asked to come buy an Apple Watch and said my appointment didn't show up on his side. There was 4 associates inside sitting and laughing with each other doing nothing. Yet I was not aloud in the store. I asked him to help me make another appointment since clearly everybody working there was free but he said I couldn't come in for 2 weeks. We went to this location on my son's 12th birthday to get him a phone. We were told there was an hour wait so we waited and watched as 4 people that came in after us were helped. There was only 1 customer service girl working & a man in the front checking people in. He had no interest in helping the other employee. He stood there playing games on his phone. As the customer service lady was helping a couple that came in 30 mins after us, we over heard her talking about what phones they didn't have in stalk. Of course the only one my son was interested in they didn't have. I did call The Verizon number & asked ahead of time & he guaranteed all iPhones were in stock. I feel like the guy who is the greeter in the front should be asking questions & maybe notify the customer who plans on waiting an hr or longer if the phone is available. read more

Worst experience at a Verizon store I've ever had! The man who helped me was one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life. He was rude from the very beginning before he even asked for my name. He then goes to tell me a number can't be upgraded which I called Verizon and confirmed that was a LIE. They told me it just takes a few extra steps which he absolutely could have helped me in the store. You could tell he didn't even want to pretend to help come up with a solution. I've never received such bad customer service in my life and once a waiter dropped a whole pitcher of water on my guests. After spending two full days and over 50 dollars in uber rides, my roommate and I went to get her ALL READY PAYED FOR iPhone X. Once we arrived to the store, a sales rep named Jen was very rude to us before we even explained our situation. She was snappy and unhelpful and overall just rude. With countless sales reps there, you would think someone else could help us. But no, therefore I decided to go get a Jamba Juice which was next door to Verizon. Verizon closes at 7 and I came back at 7 while my roommate was still getting helped. Jen then came to the door and mouthed something to me which I found very disrespectful and she locked me outside of the Verizon. It was not like I was a new customer. I was waiting for my roommate as she needed a new phone because hers was broken to the point she couldn't open it. They made me sit outside in a bad area for 30 minutes. I then called Verizon customer service to complain. My roommate later informed me that they still were rude to her during the time I was locked out. All the employees were chatting and just playing on their phones. She ended up not getting her iPhone and we both went home and came back the next day. When we came back, jen and her coworkers had gossiped about everything that had happened. Each employee treated us with disrespect and said "oh your the ones" We still didn't get her iPhone and jen was very rude to my roommates father on the phone. The father spent so much time talking to customer service and each time customer service said the store was being ridiculous and should have helped us. We then came back again and were treated badly again until Vanessa helped us. If you for some reason have to come to this store I urge you to go to vanessa. She was friendly and fantastic. I don't know how this store is still open as so many customers had similar issues and all the reviews on here are horrible. Something really needs to be done as we have spent a total of 5 hours here and the store put us in danger, neglected us, gossiped about us and laughed, and wasted our money. Jen is pictured below and we have a recording of the conversation. Therefore our accusations are trustworthy. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would; worst customer service EVER... I purchased an iPhone 8 Plus for $800 and it had a faulty home button that cracked. That voids the warranty and they won't do anything about it. Absolutely absurd with how long I've been a customer and how much money I spend with them. I will NEVER do business with this location again and I'm seriously considering dropping Verizon and going to another service provider. Manager and staff completely unhelpful and uncaring. **Update** I went to the Apple Store at the Biltmore not more than an hour after I left this Verizon store and they had no issues helping me and replacing my iPhone that I purchased THROUGH Verizon. We had a very nice girl from Verizon come to our door and ended up trying out the Verizon 5G internet service. We understood that if there was an issue, we could contact her directly. This was true, to some extent, we had an issue, and we contacted her directly. She gave us the tech support number, so not as much help as we expected. No one at tech support could diagnose the reason we couldn't get internet with their device. We spent an hour on the initial calls going through all the same routines (unplug, wait, check, repeat . . .) even after the issue was escalated to an "supervisor expert". They said they would put in a ticket, and we never heard from them again. So, we called the original salesperson again, she said she would have her tech expert get right on it. Nothing happened. I finally called a week later to cancel the service and return the device because it simply didn't work, again a very nice person tried to help me. She told me I needed to agree to the disclosure she would read me. She read me the instructions Verizon supplied to her, not a disclosure. When I pointed this out, she apologized and read me the disclosure for canceling phone service. I, again, pointed out that what she was reading was inappropriate to my request and I would go in to the store and cancel service and return the device. Another wasted hour of my time. The store employees were not quite as friendly as their telephone customer service counterparts. I was ignore at the door, although there wasn't another person in line, and the employees were talking to each other. When they didn't acknowledge me after several minutes, I went past them to look for help. Then they, called "hey, wait to be checked in." Another 35 minutes of wasted time, they couldn't cancel nor take the device back at the store. They had Customer service call me. A very nice guy., Philip, canceled the service, but try as he may, could not generate a shipping label. I was transferred 3 additional times and the said the would mail me one, should take about a week. Needless to say, after being a Verizon customer for 37 years, I'm very unhappy with their lake of service. Nice people, generally, but in the end, they have made a bad situation worse at every turn. read more

Loyalty is dead in the United States. I've been a continuous customer with Verizon for 14 years. I realize their business model has changed and in 2015 I received my last free iPhone. I broke my screen a week ago and wanted to trade it in but to get 50% off an 8 or 10 my phone needs to be fixed. I asked if the could cut me a deal since I have been a customer for so long. I don't have the insurance, but the manager through the sales girl said if I had the insurance then they could have done something for me. Well, no shit, I could have had the screen fixed and gotten 50% off the new phone. So dissatisfied, low balling the average, I have paid them $10,000 for their services over the last 14 years. My experience here was.....ok. The guy at the counter was friendly enough (although not overly talkative). I had called previously to inquire about upgrading my old blackberry to the new iphone 4. They had them in stock, and the guy told me he'd set one aside and i could come in and pick it up after work. I had originally planned to just order one online (I was due for an upgrade), but didn't want to wait for it to arrive by mail....instant gratification was key. So i went to the store, but had already researched what type of service and features I wanted to include. I told the guy that I wanted to add Rhapsody, but asked him if he could explain how it worked first (for those that don't know, it's supposed to be a $10/month music download program - unlimited tunes). He was quick to state "oh, that's not available on the iphone"....confused, I asked why it was offered in the package online then. He was adamant that it was not a feature available to the iphone, until I asked him to research it.....Whaddaya know. It WAS available. He said nothing and we moved on. Next, he asked if I wanted insurance. I said no, but i wanted the extended warranty for $1.99/month. He stated again "that's not available with this phone". AGAIN, i asked why it was offered online. He said it probably wouldn't have let me check out with it.....and then clicked a little button, and low and behold...it let him add the extended warranty. I then informed him that I wanted to reduce my minutes from 900 to 450, since i have not gone over the 450 in over 6 months....He looked at my account and said that i should absolutely stay with the 900 minutes because I would definitely go over. Mind you, I had just checked my account earlier in the day, so I knew where I stood. He told me that I was already at 380 minutes, and I would have to pay extra for any minutes I went over. I looked at him for a minute....then told him that since my cycle restarted tomorrow,...I was clearly still going to be ok. He said nothing and kept going. He then asked me if I wanted to look at cases and I said no because I had already found a specialty one online that I planned to order. He stated that I should definitely look at their selection first, because they had a ton to choose from and could probably get me discount. So I said ok and he walked me over to their turnstile....with a total of 8 choices (and three of them were variations of black). When I asked what the discount was, he said he could get me a discount....if i bought a package that included about 5 other things that i didnt even need or want..... Overall, he was nice and I got the phone and plan i wanted....but only because I had researched it myself. Don't expect them to know what they're talking about, and go prepared! read more
