But because seven months ago, I was late on one bill they're not able to charge anything to my account We paid $600 just to get out of there with a " tier, one trade-in value,"I have no idea. My phone just paid off and believe it or not it is on the frits, how convenient! called customer service talked me into ordering a new phone paid taxes and all, she called hours later and said it was ready for pick up, gave an order #740293 with location (she also stressed " do not let them cancel the order and start a new one") sounds like it's a thing, greedy sh1tty dishonest salesman. I rush over as kids getting out of school soon. Get there and told it is not ready and there is nothing I can do..... funds have pulled from my bank. He still didn't care as there is nothing he can do...... they will call or text when ready.. no call and no text... This morning I get an email!!! *One refund, coming right up. Because your order wasn't picked up, we've canceled your order and started your refund. You should see a credit on your credit/debit card within 72 hours, if applicable. If you have items shipping, we'll email you separately with updates.* I now have a new line on my account!!! unauthorized!!! cxl but the effective date for that will be 9/13/25, so they can still fu(K you out of anything they can on the next bill, then we have the fees and also the fee fees and just a few more fees to go.. I wish I could leave a 0 star. Not only was my last visit very frustrating. It makes me wish we still had covid around so I didn't have to go in. Mike, who I believe was the manager was not any help to the poor girl that was trying helping me. Not once did he look at me in the eyes. He wore a mask so I could barely understand, he had spoke with such a soft, quiet voice, he made it seem like he wanted the girl to repeat after him. But she never did. Every time a new person came in, he HAD to be the one that greeted them so each time that happened I was skipped over and he left me and the other employee standing there not knowing what to do. Well they handed me a brochure and told me to call the insurance company. This was frustrating because the whole reason Verizon partners with the insurance company is so we, the customer, don't have to deal with the insurance company! So frustrating! Now I have to call the insurance, set up an appointment at some random fix-it shop and it's going to take multiple days and phone calls rather than just asking for then getting help from Verizon. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE in history! DO NOT USE VERIZON FOR ANYTHING OR EVER GIVE VERIZON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION FOR AUTO-BILLING or "saving $5 on your monthly bill" because Verizon is a SCAM!!! Back in late December 2023, I started Verizon Internet for the first time as I moved to Utah. From the get-go, it was a total nightmare. First of all, I only signed up for Internet (over the phone) for $50 per month on the phone. I specifically told them I was only getting internet for 4 months, and I did NOT want a Verizon cell phone/Verizon cell service. So, Verizon illegally signed me up for a Verizon cell number, and also assigned a bizarre Verizon cell phone number (with an area code not in my state) to my internet box. If you call Verizon, they immediately demand that you enter your VERIZON cell number and they will text you instructions- huh? You can't receive texts to an internet box and again, I did NOT sign up with Verizon cell. You cannot enter your T-mobile, ATT, cell number either. The internet service in Cottonwood Heights, Utah was terrible. It went out every 8-10 days for TV, and our 3 desktop home computers couldn't connect with the WIFI (the Wi-Fi was working, but our computers could not connect with Verizon, and we've never had this problem ever with other companies in 27 years). After NUMERIOUS conversations on the phone, Verizon said they would "immediately" ship me a new internet box. "Immediately" is 12+ days with Verizon. I decided not to install this new internet box, as the old box started to work, and it initially took 8 hours to connect it successfully to our computers! So, Verizon told me to take the internet box to this retail store (30 minutes away) to return it, along with a cardboard UPS box/tracking label. It took 45 minutes with 2 employees at this store to handle this return on March 21. Why? 2 weeks later, Verizon illegally charged my bank account $279 saying I did NOT return the box! I had PROOF that this store received my box and photos of my return! I had to drive 30 minutes back to this store. Sure enough, the same 2 employees (1 employee, 1 supervisor) said "oh, well, the UPS guy took 10+ days to pick up your box." LIE! YOU FAILED to give UPS the box for 2 weeks! So, another 50 minutes with this store's 2 same employees again, along with an incompetent Verizon call center in INDIA on the phone while I was in this store! What a joke. India put me on hold constantly while they look at their instruction manuals. Shame on Verizon for not hiring AMERICANS who speak ENGLISH! Thought that was the end of it. Nope. I called 4/30, to FINALLY cancel Verizon internet FOREVER! Instead, 4 hours later Verizon withdrew $279 from my bank acct again for not returning the box! Are you kidding me! I got 14 more emails and more fraud charges on my bank account in May 2024 for "not retuning the box." My bank reversed all charges and blocked VERIZON as fraud. Watch out- this is corrupt Verizon trying to steal your money! I returned another internet box May 10 via UPS (not dealing with this store ever again!!) after Verizon mailed the return box 3 times to the wrong state! Funny how Verizon claims they did not receive the box until May 21 (11 days later). Thought I was finally done with this HORRIBLE company. Nope! Even after I received emailed confirmation from Verizon and tracking from UPS, I continue to get emails into June 2024 claiming that that they never got EITHER of the 2 internet boxes, and they are going to fraudulently try to charge me again $400+! My bank has blocked Verizon for non-stop fraud. Unbelievable!!! This is what happens when you employ an Indian call center, with people who can't speak English, who are NOT trained at all. On top of that, this incompetent retail store!!!! Why did it take me 2 hours in your store to try to resolve the issue of returning an internet box. The past 20 years I have had several internet companies- ATT, DirectTV, Spectrum, Time Warner. Every time I canceled with them, I simply drove to the store, dropped it off, and they gave me a receipt. Took ONE MINUTE! I have wasted about 40 hours of my time and I think 45 phone calls with Verizon now, along with 2 hours wasted at this store. Oh, and I got 2 UPS tracking numbers and confirmation from UPS and Verizon they got both boxes, and they continue to lie they got neither box, oh "and I sent the boxes to the WRONG address"- never mind that Verizon mails you an empty cardboard box along with a pre-printed UPS label on it it to the CORRECT Verizon warehouse! More lies. Oh, and you cannot call this store directly. Sent to Indian call center!!! DO NOT EVER USE VERIZON FOR ANYTHING!! THIS STORE IS AWFUL and ALL VERIZON EMPLOYEES TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND DISHONEST TOO. Funny how they have kind of hidden this store on Yelp Map. read more

The Fort Union location treated me as if I was the #1 person on the FBI's Most Wanted list‼ I believe I was subjected to gender discrimination. I had purchased a new family plan, credit check, ID and traded in our phones. Out of nowhere my Drivers license wasn't proof of who I was and I had to produce mail addressed to me, my vehicle registration and this was after I showed my credit card, debit card, Veterans ID and anything else I had in my wallet with my name/picture on it. They dinged my credit score by running it 2 additional times even though I was approved on the 1st check. I also later found out I got screwed out of almost $500 on rebates. There's more to this than what I've listed. I should mention that last week that, after a month of calling, Verizon is now investigating this incident. P.S 2 other people are on my plan and only 1 of us got the FREE new customer upgrade agreement I purchased. I went from a Galaxy S21+5g to an A02. I did get a S-22 basic which still is not an upgrade but after all of this at least I have a phone. My biggest question I have about this whole thing is; Why am I still a customer? read more

My husband went into the Midvale store to purchase a new phone due to his current iPhoneX no longer working properly. He was very clear that we did not want any changes to our current plans(s) as we have 3 different users on our plan with different needs...he just wanted to purchase a new phone. Didn't need the latest and greatest iPhone 16... the iPhone 14 would be fine. As expected, got LOTS of sales pitching about the great offer for a free iPhone 16, which required a change in our current plan. Again, told told the rep (Carson), NO...just wanted a phone. Was grateful that my husband took the time to look at the quote sheet and saw that the rep had added a $19mo Verizon Mobile Protect fee! Not only was this feature not approved by my husband, it was NOT even discussed by the rep...just added on with the expectation that it wouldn't be noticed. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE MIDVALE STORE HAS PULLED THIS TRICK OF ADDING ON A NON-REQUESTED, NON-DISCLOSED FEE. I purchased a new phone at this same store last year and the same thing happened. Thank goodness that I looked over my paperwork when I got home and got the monthly fee taken off. Buyer beware!! This is not good business! Stop playing games and take care of what your customers are asking for. When I looked at my account on MyVerizon.com, there was a big header at the top of the page Thanking me for my 22 Years as a Valued Customer of Verizon! I finally made the switch FROM the Verizon ball and chain where I had been a customer since 1993. Why? Simply put as many have pointed out already, weak reception in so many locations and customer service is on the very low end of the scale and only getting worse. The result of the change so far? No issues with reception and I travel all over the country. Customer service which I have only had to call once and it was not a phone issue, was very quick and professional. They put me "in line" on their system and I proceeded to observe as multiple customer service agents just made random conversation with people. Not in a hurry. Not time efficient. They told one woman she'd have to wait 25 minutes before they could connect her with a customer service rep on the phone? They also have one rep that just sits and twiddles their thumbs at the front door to greet people. Seems like a waste of a representative while you have 6 people trying to get in and out, sitting. I was trying to pick up an order that I purchased on line. Due to Covid-19 the email said to have a mask on when entering the store and bring government issued ID. When I ordered the product I used a guest to register as it said I could. When I got there, they said I needed to register since we were wearing masks we couldn't verify with a photo ID. The registration using my phone didn't work and I couldn't get registered it wouldn't take me to the next step and asked me to put in a password, when my password was already accepted. Finally since I was getting agitated, they looked at my ID and gave me what I had paid for. By the way the Verizon person had a mask on but it wasn't covering her nose so what good was it. read more

With the utmost respect for the ability to choose and the right to suit my own needs, I have made my decision and it feels spectacular. I am also pleased to announce that I have been released from the painfully crappy MyTouch 4g and the not so pleasant Android Market. I have come to what I call a new home. Verizon Wireless and the little piece of what I hope eternity has, the iPhone. After my brief 10 month hiatus from the iPhone and reliable service I was alone, lost, confused, and pissed off. I waited. Hopes of the "5" burned in my bosom. This quest lead me here, to this store. Upon entering you are greeted. They take your name and jot down the reason you're there and what you are wearing (seriously, got to remember you somehow). This helps them better assist you. You are then greeted by another who will be able to assist you with your questions. Which phone, which plan, which tablet, which accessory. Experts, as some may say. My previous inquiries led me back October 14th. This place was more packed than 7-11 on 7-11 (free slurpee day ) I was treated like a valued customer. My new plan was clearly explained, my old contacts were moved over, new service set up, screen cover put on, basic features of the new phone explained. No question was left unanswered. Without a doubt, extremely helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. My phone is my heart and soul now and my cell service has been undoubtably superior. read more

Without question, best coverage around. Without question, you're going to pay through the nose for that coverage! Four phones, two iPhones, two androids, 18 gigs of monthly data. Went to a "flex" plan as it was the least expensive option. You hang on to the phones for a period of time then you upgrade. There's all the fees and expenses, I was shelling out $260-ish each month. Wanted to upgrade the iPhones. Considered upgrading one of the androids. Yada, yada, yada, I was going to be significantly north of $300/month. Called them outside of the AT&T store, told Verizon I was considering jumping ship, yada, yada, yada I pay under $200/line and I'm free! AT&T will buy out my Verizon contract when I turn in my phones. They give me two fancy androids and two 64 gig iPhones and I'm $270/month. No brainer. Was with AT&T from 2007 until I could get an iPhone through Verizon circa 2011. Had been with Verizon from 1995-ish. I think I'm through. There may be better deals but I'm super happy and so are my three little dream-killers. Bah bye, Felicia! read more

This review is on behalf of my mother. Unfortunately the information we received about a "refurbished" phone was incorrect. She has had the phone for a few years and has been a customer of Verizon since the early 2000's. The customer service at this location is poor. The information she was given by three in-store employees did not resolve the problem. The employees here seems to lack the correct knowledge when disseminating it to their customers. In person staff at this location needs social skills training and a "refresher" in customer support. Online customer service was most helpful when she called twice. Their information was not the same as that given in store. read more

This was formerly in the now-Dickey's spot, but this brand new shining building is still holding up well. This is like a pleasure palace for Verizon gadgets, as they have nearly every conceivable one of the current offerings, sometimes more than one, plus a bevy of accessories. Staff seemed very helpful and friendly. As far as that stuff goes, it's pretty well covered. You may as well plan on being there a good hour anytime you go. The problem then comes in with Verizon itself, such things as not being able to price match (do I really want to pay 3X the price to have the phone right then? Not so much) and a lot of account switches that have to be done in-store. As it turns out, it appears that some of them wound up not getting done, but given that I also wound up with an unexpected delay window, it's not the worst thing ever, though somewhat annoying. If Verizon did not have the actual phone service they did, they'd be gone like yesterday's news, but as they like to say, it's the network, dummy and though I liked T-Mobile when I was with them and keep giving the others a look, despite their high level of price competitiveness, they just don't have the infrastructure...still. read more

We were there thinking it was going to be a long drawn out process but she was quick and got us what we needed. Gave us our payment options processed everything and we were out the door. It sucks that our upgrade phone cost us over $900 with no discounts but that's what it is these days. We waited to long to upgrade so our current phone was worth nothing giving us no discount. They have streamlined the way service is delivered and it ensures that you are helped in the order you arrive. Verizon has great service and many phones and accessories so this store is usually very busy. The service was delivered at a high level without much wait and the person that helped us was very attentive and patient. I upgraded my phone to a new Blackberry Tour and I also got a netbook. My husband and I went in to ask a few questions about plans. The man that greeted us was super friendly (and the only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not just one) but he was customer service and directed us to a salesman named Ron. He was helping someone else at the time and I guess decided he can multitask and give us some basic info at the same time. Rude to the person he was helping and rude to us. I told him we wanted the iPhone 6 and we just wanted to know our options with plans. He told us that "assuming we qualify" it would be $100 down and $80/month. Every question I asked was obviously annoying to him and it was clear he just wanted to get rid of us. Probably because we were up front that our obligations with TMobile weren't up for a month. My mistake. Lesson learned. Ron may be a nice person but he came across as an arrogant jerk. Verizon won't be getting our business. read more
