Verizon store in manalapan nj is the worse I wentbin to see why my 20% work discount hasn't been applied yet and showed him the email confirming the discount. The guy said oh that doesn't work on the unlimited plan you have its only for nurses first responders and military so I said what kind of discounts can you give me then seeing I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. He response was only to change my plan to the limited text and calls. Who in there right mind would do that? I said my other co workers get the 20% off but your telling me I can't? Two and half hours wait to activate my replacement phone. Still they could not Activate with sim card. Elizabeth activates it with esim without my consent. I asked her to activate it on physical esim. Manager Ivan works on activating physical sim. It doesn't work. He states " I will activate on esim back and call it a day." After going to the location in East Brunswick New Jersey and dealing with that we decided to come here next on the recommendation of a friend we were held out by a gentleman named John who went above and beyond what he needed to do we purchased an iPad a watch two new phones and some other accessories he was absolutely everything great. Cell phones. The biggest scam ever let loose on the American people. What an incredible ripoff. Yet people will line up around the corner begging companies to take their money. It's capitalism at its finest. My daughter's phone broke. There is no sadder sight than a teenage girl with a broken phone. The deal was that this was the last phone I was paying for so this one is on her. She could have gotten a refurbished phone with the insurance I've been paying for but she wanted an upgrade. Off to Verizon we went. First off, their covid process is top notch. Masks, hand sanitizer, triage outside. Inside they had a plexiglass partition and the transaction was handled via his tablet and my cell phone. Very well thought out. The rep met us outside. Corey was very informative and incredibly patient. Daddy wasn't making the decision this time. "What phone do you want, sweetheart?" It's overwhelming the number of options available, then toss in a whole refurbished selection and online store options! She panicked a little but made a decision and inside we went. Inside we figured out the details of payments and billing stuff. It was all much more efficient than previous experiences. The whole thing took maybe 15 or 20 minutes. They didn't rush us out the door but they minimized the niceties. In all, it was an excellent experience. Verizon clearly put thought into their covid program which allowed is to talk business without worrying. Corey was fantastic. Great attitude, very informative, and incredibly patient. And my little princess is happy again, which makes me happy. The bottom line is that Verizon has the best service. You pay for that quality, of course. My phone wasn't working so I ran to the Verizon store and within minutes I was taken and they helped me register and activate my phone. It was 7:15 p.m. on a Thursday night. Normally this store is very crowded and the wait times are extreme. But I waited till after dinner to run over there and it was a very good decision. Jeff, was very helpful because he was able to access my Google account and start inputting all the stored information. Unfortunately the store was closing at 8 p.m. and I wish I had more time to import more information. I came into the Verizon store yesterday worried and anxious after my daughter, who is in Paris for business, had her iPhone stolen. I brought an old iPhone in which i was trying to activate to send to her to hold her over till she can purchase a new one. I went to this specific Verizon store this morning with my family to transfer our carrier to Verizon. We arrived, and thankfully were immediately provided with help from a "Verizon specialist", his name was Michael. What even is that job description anyway? I'd like to know. Anyway, throughout our experience at Verizon, Michael was extremely rude and simply made us feel stupid. He explained things to us like we were children, and provided us with incorrect information on numerous occasions throughout the experience. We couldn't believe it! I called several times in advance to make sure the actions I needed to take in order to remove a line from my account and start a separate one WITHOUT penalty. I also explained that I would be getting a new phone keeping the old number even tho the upgrade date was no for a while. I was assured by two separate people at this location it COULD be done. I went to this location and they would not do it. The manager refused even tho it WAS in the notes on my account to allow it without penalty. They lost a lot of business as my entire family (there are a lot of us) had gone there and with what they did (or wouldnt do) they are mad as well. Went there to upgrade wife's phone, after 30 minutes, I excused myself and asked the tech how long he would be, he tells me may be another 30 minutes, I then asked for a manager.... Wish I could leave ZERO STARS. This Verizon location is horrible...the employees are clueless and disrespectful. My husband and I upgraded our phones and when I was packaging up our old phones to return them, I realized we were given the exact same label with identical tracking numbers for both packages. We returned to this location to get an updated label and when we arrived, rather than just getting us a new label (since it was their mistake), the manager, Doug, told us we had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to help us. Once we were finally called to be helped, the employee, Isabella, told us that it was fine that our labels had identical tracking numbers (this is NOT true). After explaining to her why they could not have the same tracking number, she agreed to print us out a new label (this took several minutes - not exactly sure why). When she comes back with the label, it is for FedEx, not UPS like the other label. Now not only did we have to spend an hour in the Verizon store because they failed to give us the proper mailing labels the first time, but I was also expected to now go to two different locations to drop off the phones to mail them back. I told Isabella that I was not going to go to FedEx and only wanted to go to UPS (especially since there are no FedEx drop-off locations nearby), she basically told me too bad, the FedEx label was all she would give me. At this point, she walked away and as she was walking away I told her I would like someone else to assist us. She then started yelling at me from across the store stating she was helping us. At this point, the manager, Doug, came over and asked me to explain what was going on. When I started to explain to him our issue, Isabella then began talking very loudly over me. Because I raised my voice when I asked her to stop interrupting and go back to helping the new customer she was with, the manager told us we were done and told us to leave because he wasn't going to allow me to yell at his employee. When I questioned why he was ok with his employee yelling at me, all he said was I will talk to her later and said we're finished here. So I was reprimanded by the store manager in front of everyone in the store and the employee had nothing said to her. This was extremely disrespectful and very poor customer service. Worst experience I've had with an establishment in a long time. Unprofessional, and shady to say the least. Bought a new phone and less than 24 hrs later it was back due to being broken....How? I don't know. They would not refund my money nor would they provide me with a replacement phone. Assistant managers didn't have the courtesy to even address me personally even after I informed the the kid who assisted me that I was going to file a complaint. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my life. I walked in to ask for my upgrade which Verizon has been texting me about for weeks. When I went in to get the upgrade the sales rep (I think his name was Mike) was extremely unfriendly. He was then telling me that do to a small chip I could not get my free upgrade. I would have to send my phone back in then get the new phone come back and then come back to the store. While telling me this he was rude and extremely unfriendly. Following this I asked about how to cancel my services with Verizon. Instead of trying to speak with me to help with my frustration he just told me when I could cancel. had high speed gigabete service upgraded in jan. still had the same slow service. my daughter has been complaining that it is still slow ! i came home early today to test and check it out cant doing it working from the field , after an hour and 2 reps and tecks on phone they figured out something was not right and was able to get it working. i requested a refund for the time i started paying till today , the first time they supplied me with the service they were charging me for . but no ! they will only give one month credit because i didn't notify them . like i know what speed my internet is ? now i now you can run a speed test . but the low nature of big business is to blame you for not telling them there service wasn't working ! it would have been nice that the service person checked it before he left , not for us to think that the service still just sucked ! charging for a service not provided is wrong , a proper credit for not having them do there job right the first time is not much to ask for . bottom line is verizon sucks ! i won't use there phones now or tv direct tv gives better services as well as att on the cell service read more

Long story short... Elderly parents with a 38 year old mentally disabled child who has been going to this store. Father has recently passed, going through phone bills. $400 + on bills per month for over 10 years. Talked to Verizon customer service... Would not offer any help. Horrible customer service.... Btw these are bills for flip phones... No smart phones. Thousands of dollars has been spent over 10 years, unknown to the children, on elderly and handicapped. Obviously been taken advantage of. I had an awesome experience at Verizon with my dad. The store was packed because of a deal on the new iPhone. Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were being taken care of, even though he was busy. He got us started right away with getting a new phone and transferring data. While we were waiting, his customer service was evident in every customer that he interacted with. It seems like he truly wanted to help everyone! I can easily say that I will never EVER be back to this location ever again. I was there a few months ago for a cracked screen. Which I can understand being my fault and having to go through insurance, Asurion or whatever. Also a crap company. To the points - Issue 1: I received a replacement phone a few months ago and now this one has crapped out on me too. It wasn't taking a charge from any charger. So for a few days until I could get to the store, I had to lay it on its side. I go into this Verizon location and a guy named Arthur helped me out. Issue 2: Arthur has no human skills what so ever. I tried to be understanding and he goes "let me have my manager look at it" .. literally gone for 2 mins. He goes, "the manager said one of the pins is not sitting right you're going to have to go through the insurance company". So I asked, "how do they determine that a pin is moved?" He roll's his eyes and says "Well they shine a flashlight into it." Well, that was a great help. Thank you for being so rude. ALSO - If I'm not the main person on the account DO NOT TRY AND SELL ME SOMETHING. I get that you are trying to "Save us money" but in the long run lets be honest, you probably aren't. Change your tone and become more personable. Overall: The staff there is rude and they don't know how to talk to customers. I have been in retail for 10 years now, both entry level and management. I can easily say I am appalled at not only their customer service, but surprised that management doesn't step in and help out. I can say that I will never be back to this location for the sole reason based upon customer service. We went to VERIZON to upgrade 2 phones on our account. It was Black Friday so we did expect to wait. We spent time talking and ran into a friend so it wasn't so bad. It was finally our turn and we were helped by a wonderful representative who took time explain the offerings an help us process the upgrades. After we left we realized that the phone numbers and info were accidentally mixed up. The store was closed but they were still finishing up some transactions. We spoke with the manager and explained the issue. Initially he asked us to come back in the morning which I explained was not possible. He provided a solution and the phone issue was corrected while we waited and well after 10:30 pm. I understand errors happen and everything is fixable. I greatly appreciated the fact that he provided a solution that worked with our schedule. He could have easily said no - come back tomorrow but he made the right decision. We are forever customers and highly recommend this store. read more

Reading these reviews while on hold with this store. Called with a quick technical question but didn't want to bother the sales staff. However the prompts on the recording weren't working, just kept repeating no matter what button I pressed. Then disconnected me. So I called back, this time it worked but I pressed sales and wanted a transfer to the tech person because I never call the 800 number as I can't wait on hold all day. Asked him the question and said would you know or can you transfer me to a tech person in the store? Guess what? He didn't put a tech person on, he didn't even ask if I would like to be transferred to the 800 number, he just said hold on a minute and I thought he was asking someone the question and was getting right back to me. Well he must have transferred me to the 800 number because I am now on hold 12 minutes 46 seconds and no end in sight. 15:02 and still holding, exactly what I didnt want, the staff in this store is so arrogant. He couldn't sell me something so he dumped me off. Foolish boy. I have four people on my account. Guess where we WON'T be going when it's time to upgrade?
