Verizon West Long Branch, NJ: Outstanding Service That Saved the Day! Carol at the Verizon store in West Long Branch, NJ, was terrific--quick, smart, and knowledgeable. Her focus, and expertise, and her smile were super helpful on a not so great day when I was dealing with a broken phone. She thoroughly reviewed my plan, found multiple ways to save me money, and guided me smoothly through the frustrating process of replacing my broken phone. Later that day, I returned to activate an older phone temporarily while waiting for the new one. Five Verizon tech support reps over the phone over two days had already said it couldn't be done and told me to wait five more days without service. That's when the smart and handsome white linebacker dude (whose name I wish I had) stepped in. Strong, and determined, he tried five different approaches, refused to give up, and successfully set up my e-SIM card. I was able to install it at home after tweaking my broken screen -- it worked perfectly!! Cool Carol and this dedicated colleague didn't just provide good service, it was GREAT service! "THE DUDE" , well he went above and beyond to help someone in a real bind. It's the kind of effort that makes you proud of people who truly care about doing their job well. The employees at this store do not know what they are doing. Do NOT go here. I was trying to buy my husband an Apple Watch ($800 worth of business). I went in at 9am and had forgotten my license so they required that I go get another form of ID. One hour later I returned with the ID and they said OPPS looks like you are not authorized in the account. Sorry. You need to have your husband put your name on it. 2 things. One I was trying to surprise my husband with a birthday gift & two that I wasn't on the account would have been good to know before I drove 1 hour to get ID. read more

I just upgraded and cannot be more unhappy with the service which has been shoddy to say the least. I still am trying to get someone to talk to me about removing sports channels to lower the price. Don't understand why I need to bundle phone to keep price down when I have a verizon mobile account. Can never get through to anyone on the phone and when you do - you can't hear them and they ask the most ridiculous questions. somewhat sloppy with there security but eager to sell stuff. Every time i go to Verizon store they tell me that my account has been hacked and someone walks around with a new phone i pay for. And yes, we can not do anything about it, call fraud department. Fraud department seems to be really really busy but they are not helpful. Today my phone call started 1 and a half hour ago and still no one can help me to be able to log in to my own account to add some security to it. Meanwhile i had the pleasure to meet many of the lovely co workers who talk to me 2 minutes and then transfer me to the next person. But what really broke the mold was the fact, while talking to the fraud department that i would get a credit for the stolen phone but the person could not tell me the amount of the refund...Ha-ha, never heard nonsense like that in my whole life. Israel was an absolute pleasure to deal with. True gentleman with superb professionalism!!! I brought a defective phone to this location. The service rep was very nice but incompetent. She did not process the transaction properly. Verizon is threatening me with a $ 500 charge. I have spent more than two hours on the Verizon service line over 4 separate calls trying to rectify this. Each time I was assured that it was taken care - I'm on the phone again now. Tonight, I stopped in the West Long Branch Verizon store and was immediately greeted by a store associate named Dean DePalma. I explained my issue that was having and not only did he answer my question and handle my issue, he walked me through a few other things that I was not aware of. I was in and out of the store within a short period of time. I realize others in the past,including myself have had issues with long waits, bad service at other Verizon's but this one Rocks! I dropped my I phone and cracked the screen a year ago and went in to the Verizon hwy 36 west long branch location. I have insurance on the phone and figured I could get the screen replaced or a bother phone. I was helped by a sales woman named heather who informed me that it would cost me 100.00 to get another phone and that it would be sent to me in 7days . I was available for an upgrade in a month . She said she could add another line to my account and I could get a new phone and it would be like getting an upgrade and all I would have to do was cancel that number online in a month and I would not be under contract with it. That was a lie. I tried to cancel it a month later online and u can't. I have reached out several times to the store and they said there is nothing we can do. I ran over that phone by accident a month later went in and got upgraded to a new phone and asked. Again is there anyway to cancel this line and explaining what happened and again nothing we can do. I have felt with customer service who actually has gotten my bill down some but I am still paying for a number that I do not use and was lied too about. I will never go to this location again and after all of our contracts are up we will switch carriers. I have been a customer for 9 years. read more
