Brian, the owner, is so personable and helpful, and he made sure I walked out of the store happy with my new phone and case.

Verizon West Long Branch, NJ: Outstanding Service That Saved…read morethe Day! Carol at the Verizon store in West Long Branch, NJ, was terrific--quick, smart, and knowledgeable. Her focus, and expertise, and her smile were super helpful on a not so great day when I was dealing with a broken phone. She thoroughly reviewed my plan, found multiple ways to save me money, and guided me smoothly through the frustrating process of replacing my broken phone. Later that day, I returned to activate an older phone temporarily while waiting for the new one. Five Verizon tech support reps over the phone over two days had already said it couldn't be done and told me to wait five more days without service. That's when the smart and handsome white linebacker dude (whose name I wish I had) stepped in. Strong, and determined, he tried five different approaches, refused to give up, and successfully set up my e-SIM card. I was able to install it at home after tweaking my broken screen -- it worked perfectly!! Cool Carol and this dedicated colleague didn't just provide good service, it was GREAT service! "THE DUDE" , well he went above and beyond to help someone in a real bind. It's the kind of effort that makes you proud of people who truly care about doing their job well. Great team, great experience. Thank you both!

The employees at this store do not know what they are doing. Do NOT go here…read more I was trying to buy my husband an Apple Watch ($800 worth of business). I went in at 9am and had forgotten my license so they required that I go get another form of ID. One hour later I returned with the ID and they said OPPS looks like you are not authorized in the account. Sorry. You need to have your husband put your name on it. 2 things. One I was trying to surprise my husband with a birthday gift & two that I wasn't on the account would have been good to know before I drove 1 hour to get ID.

BON VONAGE! We had…read moreVonage home VoIP for about 7+ years. At first, it seemed like a smart move & decent price, solid service, and it did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, that version of the company appears to have retired years ago. What replaced it was a masterclass in charging more while delivering less: steady price hikes, declining reliability, poor value, and customer service so ineffective it almost felt performance art. The phone somehow managed to fail most when we actually needed it. I called multiple times and made it clear I was ready to cancel unless the issues were fixed. The response? Indifference. Most calls turned into a time-wasting combination of hold music, transfers, "can i place you on a two min hold and check what i can do for you?" x 7 and unresolved problems. Then, as a final punchline, they'd send an email asking me to refer friends and family for a tiny reward and rate the agent I had just spoken with. Bold strategy. I honestly don't know how they're still around. We finally canceled for good, and it has been one of the more satisfying administrative decisions we've made. I would never recommend them, never use them again, and if they were the last phone company on earth, I'd probably start sending letters.

As a retired Fortune 100 website designer, I enrolled in Vonage to migrate my corporate phone…read moreservice away from Verizon, saved a great deal of money and added many unique features to both my 212 and 914 numbers. For years I recommended Vonage to every owner of a small corporation and succeeded in evangelizing many to switch to Vonage. As of this date, I am formally renouncing any future recommendations of Vonage. Whomever Vonage hired to update and/or redesign its website, they failed. They failed to a prodigious degree. My firm (www.avekta.com) created the Web Design Motto: "Two clicks to a close." This means that anyone arriving at a site we designed would be able to achieve satisfaction at least 90% of the time. Whenever they did not, they were encouraged to contact our office to examine and correct the matter - even if our contract to create the website had expired. For the past two days, I have wasted a total of 2.35 hours trying to resolve a simple change of my administrative profile. This included 1.7 hours talking with a very cooperative and polite Vonage technical support associate. Throughout our interchange I carefully explained what was wrong with the website design and prior to the call emailed the same information in the hopes that someone at Vonage would correct the complex fail-or-sure website procedures. When we finally solved the problem, I politely explained how I'd already spent over $500 of my pre-retirement hourly fees and simply wanted a one-month reimbursement of about $60 as a courtesy. I was refused. On the basis of the above, principally the creation of an incompetent, customer-hostile website, I am downgrading my score of Vonage from a 5+ to a 1- and until this matter is rectified, I would not recommend anyone subscribe to Vonage.
