Made an appointment online. We decided to start a plan to move two existing phone over from AT&T and transfer one from a current Verizon plan. The Verizon representative ( Ondrea ) was extremely helpful and courteous. She answered all the question we had. She offered explanation on the differences of one plan vs the other and made sure we understood exactly what we were getting. She provided great service to us. Be VERY careful if you buy a phone from Verizon - especially if it's an expensive phone!   On 4/15/2022, upgraded to Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 512 GB Phone from Verizon.   On 5/8/2022 we called Verizon to complain that the phone had malfunctioned.  We were told by the person on the phone that if we tried to get it replaced over the phone we would be sent a refurbished phone, but if we went to a brick and mortar store we could get a new phone.   On 5/15/2022 we were finally able to get to the Verizon store at 3747 Market Street NE, Salem, OR 97301.  We were then told that we couldn't exchange the phone there because we hadn't bought it there.  The person on the phone neglected to tell us we needed to go to a Verizon corporate store.   After visiting the Verizon store on Market Street NE, we called Verizon Customer Service again and opted for the "call back service".  When they called back there was dead air.  We never heard from them.   On 5/16/2022 we again called Verizon Customer Service and were told that we had exceeded the 30 day limit on returns.     On 5/19/2022 called Asurion to explain the problem and seek resolution.  I spoke to Rita and was transferred to Lorraine, who transferred us to Craig, who transferred us to Marcus.  None of these people was able to resolve the problem.  We asked to speak to Marcus' manager and were told that the manager would call back within 24 hours.  We received no call.   Next, on 5/24/2022, we went to the brick and mortar store at 635 OR-99W Suite F, in McMinnville, OR 97128 where we spoke to Shirley and Brian.  There was another woman there - we didn't get her name - who came over and told us to calm down.  The manner in which this was done only exacerbated things.  We explained to Shirley the sequence of events and asked her to advocate for us.  She called Asurion and spoke with them for several minutes then told us they had assured her that they would send a NEW phone - NOT a refurbished phone.   On 6/3/2022 we received the replacement phone.  Not only was the phone we received refurbished, it was missing the stylus.  It rapidly developed the same defective functions as the original phone.  We called the McMinnville store to speak to Shirley.  She wasn't working that day.  We called again on the 4th and were told she was out with a sick child.   On 6/5/2022, called the McMinnville store again and spoke with Shirley.  She was unable to offer further assistance - but suggested that the call to Asurian should have been recorded and that should be the proof needed to show that they said they would send a new phone.  Then we called the Verizon Customer Service again.  They did not offer any assistance.  They advised that we call Samsung.   Next we called the Samsung Customer Service line.  They stated they had no record of our purchase of one of their phones and offered no help. On 6/7/2022 we AGAIN called the Verizon Customer Service Center.  This time we spoke with Allen, then Christopher, and finally Jet.  Jet listened to the entire sequence of events and said if we went to a Verizon Corporate Store and had them read the notes, the store would give us a new phone.   Next on 6/7/2022 we attempted to contact the Verizon Corporate Store in Keizer, Oregon.  They never answered their phone.  We finally drove the 35 miles on country roads from where we live to the Keizer store.  This was an hour-long drive.  We were being assisted by Chris when Austin, the "manager", interrupted and said he would NOT replace the phone.  He was rude and condescending and WOULD NOT LISTEN.  When told what Jet has told us he told Chris to look at the notes but regardless of what they said he would not replace the phone.  When asked to talk to Samsung for us he snorted and refused.     Now I have this brand new $1032 Samsung phone that doesn't work and no one at Verizon will help me. They keep telling me to pay a $249 deductible to Asurion for a phone that isn't even 2 months old.   So we are paying for a brand new Samsung phone that is costing us over $1,000 and that doesn't work properly.  No one at Verizon is being helpful.  Their best advice is that we should file a claim with Asurion, pay the $249 deductible, and accept whatever replacement phone they choose to send.   My advice is always remember caveat emptor when dealing with Verizon, Asurion, and Samsung.  It's pretty obvious that the corporate profits are far more important that satisfying customers.  They don't CARE that a customer might have a full time job and family responsibilities that make it difficult or impossible to spend prolonged amounts of time on the phone or traveling to stores in an effort to get a malfunctioning phone repaired or replaced prior to the expiration of the return period.  It would be different if their customer service agents were fully equipped to resolve issues - but they aren't.  Just be very careful. read more

My dad opened an account a couple years back, he is older, retired and not very tech savvy. Verizon started raising his prices slowly and my dad didn't notice for a while until one day I was checking his account and he was paying $97 for one line with crappy service. I helped him switch to my provider but before I did that I was trying to make sure he finished the month. We tried to go to the store to get information about his account(because he doesn't remember) and they just kept saying to call a certain number then we would call that number and they would tell us to go to the store. It was so frustrating. I finally switched him and they charged his card for another month. We went to the store and they said they couldn't do anything so we had to call a number, we called and whoever answer was super rude but finally I got to the bottom of it and apparently their month to month is weird. By the way, that's the information I wanted before cancelling but no one would tell me. After some back and forth, they said they were going to return my dad money and it wasn't the full amount but At least it was something. They said it will be back in his card in a couple days. Two months went by and the money wasn't returned. I did a charge back through his card and Verizon had been treating my dad non stop. We agreed to paid only the amount we had agreed before but honestly it's so messed up that they never returned the money the first time. Well guess what, Verizon is still harassing my dad and sending him overdue bills. SHANE ON YOU! My dad doesn't have to pay anything anymore because it got settled already. I was the only customer in store yet six employees looked at me and each other and none were in any hurry to find out why I was there. I had to initiate the conversation. Then they all looked at each other and after a lengthy silence, one stepped forward and said, Well, I guess I'm the tech for today." While he was "helping" me, two other employees were laughing over their computers when one of them dropped the "F" bomb and laughed loudly. Very unprofessional. I don't have any complaints about the customer service (yet) but yes, the monthly rates are bit damn high. I initially stopped in when I needed to replace my iPhone and get a new phone plan. I'd been searching all over the internet for the best carriers (rates, phone prices, etc.) and figured Verizon was probably the best. Since my radio had been screaming non-stop 'family plan' ads at me for months now I decided to check it out. The ads said for $150/me (or something like that) you get 10GB of data to share. I thought--well hell. If I'm going to pay $75 for just one iPhone, why not just get everyone in the family one? Verizon execs are laughing their asses off right now. See, that price is ONLY for the phone plan. What they don't tell you is that you HAVE to finance ANY phone that you get on that plan. Yes--American's are financing goddamn phones these days. Unbelievable. Not only that, but you have to finance the phone at FULL FUCKING RETAIL. So those iphones that they offer for $100 outright with a new plan? That's now a $650 phone with interest that you have to pay for in installments. Guess whose family members didn't get iPhones? I'd like to meet just one jackass who fell for this scam. All of this aside, Target (in the same parking lot) offers that SAME iPhone 5c (with Verizon 2 year plan) for $30. So walk your ass across the street and pick up a $30 smart phone. read more

Verizon is a very good cellular service. I've only ever had a few dropped calls in 6 years. Their national coverage is great! Their *228 roaming update feature is awesome. Able to update your coverage anytime. ***BUT*** Their (and I *QUOTE*) "Worry Free Guarantee" is crap. It used to be awesome, but not anymore. You used to be able to bring your new handset back in within 15 days if you don't like it and exchange it. You still can, but they now charge a $35 restocking fee. Customer service at the Keizer store is totally awful. I forgot her name, but the manager was *SO* rude to my Mother and myself. I have an LG EnV3 which shuts off at random and freezes up just about every day. Very undependable. I'm working on my *4th* EnV3.. I asked about getting a diff. handset. Nope, has to be the same one. They want me to steal an upgrade from another line on the account in order to get a diff. handset. Or they want me to purchase using their "certified like new" list ..which they claim is discounted, but most of them are still over $100. They claim "they are not satisfied unless we are satisfied" ..bull. I must say that cust. care/tech support over the phone always seem to be very courteous. So, I only rated two stars because of how awful we were treated at the Keizer store by the manager herself. read more

Switched recently from AT&T to Verizon. I had started the transaction on-line and ran into troubles activating my new SIMs. After unsuccessful attempts to resolve the problem, the chat attendant recommended a store should be able to help me complete. My wife and I ventured to the Keizer Verizon Wireless store where we were promptly greeted and our case promptly logged. After waiting a short time, representative Mary began assisting us and quickly ran through our request lists. She was very prompt, courteous and efficient. We've been using our phones for several days now and have been very pleased with the service and having everything been taken care of well, there are no followup issues to deal with. I have been a very long time Verizon customer, lived in 7 states in the past 6 years due to working for the Government. I love their service, love the carrier, love the coverage. What I don't love is the horrible customer service I had at this store. The first girl that asked me what she could help me with was amazing. Friendly, smiling, and you could tell she was excited to be at work. I waited about 20 minutes to speak with a rep who assured me he had the Iphone 6s plus in stock finally. He had to buyout my edge agreement and upgrade like usual. I inquire about the Iphone upgrade every year program that they are doing now and got the response of "no man that's Sprint not Verizon." Another employee steps in at this point and informed him that they are doing it now, and he simply responded with "Why haven't they trained me on this yet?" No biggie, I understand not being updated on information. Here is where it get's fun. Jose ( I believe that's his name) comes out with a regular Iphone 6 Plus. I asked him if that was the right phone, he assured me it was the new one. After he fumbles with the system for a while he said "It's not ringing up right, let me grab my manager and i'll be right back." After about 10 minutes he comes back and let's me know he doesn't have any, but he wouldn't have an issue with ordering me one that could be here within 2 weeks. I simply decline and inform him that I just want it reversed. He informs me that he can't do that and I could call the 1800 number if I have an issue. At this point I was in disbelief with what he said and told him I would like to speak to a manager. The manager ( The guy with braces and a comb over) comes and states the exact same thing. I tell him that's unacceptable and I should not have to wait on the phone to have this fixed. He tells me "We are human and make mistakes, there's nothing we can do." He gives me the district manager's card and tells me if there's any issues to call her. I am still a very pro Verizon customer. I just can't believe that a corporate store would allow this to happen. I understand the manager is young, but that level of customer service is just sorry. Hopefully this hit's someone's inbox that will actually do something. Bottom line: Go to Wilsonville if you want good service. This place sucks. read more

This place is terrible. I went in On April of 2017 to possibly get a new phone. I was helped out by some blonde girl who was really nice but had no idea what she was doing. At the end I decided to get a new phone and she was looking over at my plan and explained to me that If I switch to The new unlimited plan I would end paying 40$ more the first couple of months but because two phones would end there contract in Oct and Nov my plan would go down 40$ and at the end I would end up paying the same amount but with more data. It seemed to good to be true so she started to write everything down also mentioned that Verizon at that time had a discount if you would enroll in the Autopay program. I began doing the math and it seemed about right but something kept telling me that It was too good to be true but some how I went along with it and decided to buy the phone BUT I paid it all that day. The following month I get a bill of $480.. I was so confused and didn't understand why. I immediately went back and luckily she was there and I showed her my bill and asked her why it was that much and she respond back with "I don't know". She looked over it and still didn't understood what had happen so she took it back to her manager to look at it. I waited about 2 hrs and she finally came back and told me that they charged me for my phone and the payment I had done that they was invalid! My jaw dropped! WTF they take my 700$ to then tell me it was invalid. Ha! Lucky me I had my receipt with me that day and I told them to fix my bill right away. She goes back again to then tell me that my everything should be good now and since my bill was due in a few days that I should make a payment for the same amount as the month before that and it should reflect in my account the next couple of days.. Days went buy and nothing. I Received my bill and once again I was charged $400 and something and with additional charges I never agreed to! I was furious and decided to call customer service and they broke down everything they told me I was being charged for insurance that I never approved for, my plan was something else what I had agreed to and they also charged me a monthly fee for the new phone I got.. oh and my employee discount was also removed after She told me that it would stay the same... Till this day my bill isn't even the same and that autopay discount they said I would get, I never got it even once.. Honestly this place doesn't even know what they are doing and all they care is about getting money and the worst part is that the manager never Even came out once to apologize.. oh yeah and don't let that tall blonde help you out !!!!! read more

My son had his phone damaged in Active military duty and Verizon wasn't willing to assist me in the balance of $87 dollars that he owed on his phone. Mind you. We have full insurance on all our phones/devices but they use a 3rd party and it was going to cost more then what he owed. Honestly, don't go with this Company. The sales bros working here need a refresher course in customer service and basic human empathy. My 72 year old mother went to this store today because Verizon was forcing her to upgrade her old school flip phone and she needed a smart phone. She ended up calling me midway through the visit and I could tell by the tone in her voice she was upset, so I left work in Salem and drove to Keizer to see if I could help. My mother is a sweet, smart, friendly person, but she has no experience with smart phones and finds learning new technology, like many people at her age, a bit overwhelming. Rather than being patient and helpful with her, the sales bros treated her like an idiot that was wasting THEIR time. The first guy that was "helping" her straight up said, "You aren't listening to me!" when she was asking questions about the phones. The second guy with the big beard was also super condescending and when I showed up acted like we were both inconveniencing him by asking for clarification on the plans and phone costs, etc. Once we picked out her phone, Beardo said it was activated and sent us on our way without so much as a thank you or smile. We went out to the parking lot to set up her phone, and what do you know, it wasn't activated. So we went back into the store and pointed out the issue. Beardo blamed the system, saying it should be active, pressed a few buttons on his tablet, then gave us back the phone. This time it was activated, so we went back out to the car and finished setting it up. When my mom told me how they treated her later, my blood boiled. I've worked in customer service before, and I would never treat someone they way they treated her. So sorry to bother you bros, at YOUR JOB, where you get PAID to HELP PEOPLE WITH THEIR PHONES. insanity at its finest, I'm doing the switch program and I currently have a bill due at at&t. its been 2 month sense ive sent my iPhone 7 to them + the bill and all their information. ive called them every 5 days them asking for more and more information and that I need to call this department to get it from them because they cant get it from their computer. I'm getting the run around ive asked for my phone back and they tell me no. once its in their warehouse it cant leave. I still am getting the round around and they refuse to pay. at this point I believe they are just scamming me out of my iPhone and even if they did say they have the information its another 8-10 weeks before they can send me my money to pay a fucking bill. this is ridiculous and I would recommend no one do any work with this company EVER. bunch of con's. read more

Horrible experience morning of 07/12/15 with a manager at the Verizon store named "Angel". The rep We'd been working with " Michael" had to ask Angel for approval on what he was helping us with, 2 new contracts & phones. "Angel" walked over with "what's the problem"? When we started telling him what we wanted to do he said 1 account could the other couldn't . We said fine we'll just wait & check some other carriers. To this he said "what's with waving your hand, you're so rude and nasty, I listened to you now you listen to me"! I said no thanks, I'm the customer here and you're the rude one and we're done. The customer service at this location is beyond terrible. The person who sold me the phone has poor communication skills. When I left the store he had bundled products in I will never use. Shame for not stopping him. I go to return the next day, and I got a girl that has no business being on the floor. She has no idea what's going. She would ask the manager what to do, and he would say that's easy, here's how and walks away. I asked for a corporate number, and he asked why, so I told him this is the worst customer service I have ever had. He walked away. I suggest to anyone never go to this location. Customer Service is OK at this location...as well as the decent speed at getting help. BUT (it needs to be a big "BUT") Verizon's faults are aplenty: Horrible Customer Service once you have the phone. Horrible Monthly rates (too high). Horrible and harassing phone calls if you're even a week late paying your bill. The good? Pretty consistent service throughout Oregon. I've also dealt with AT&T and they were worse. The model of service delivery in this store is ridiculous. As many as 5 staff hanging around taking names while 3 work to meet with the customers. Worse, is the fact that each employee will give different responses based on what they know, which appears to be vague at best. Customer service at this location seems to be very hit and miss. We went in three times in a span of four days and our experiences ran the gamut. First two times the employees were friendly, but appeared to have no idea what they were doing. My phone was sent to the wrong address and our joint plan was not even close to what we supposedly had set up. But the third (and hopefully final) time we went in, the employee (Eddie) cleared everything up in a matter of minutes and had us on our way. Verizon is what it is- a bit pricy but with better-than-average coverage. The Keizer Station location also is what it is- crowded with questionable customer service. read more

I came in here because At&T Didn't have screen protectors for my phone, they told me to go to target, and I wasn't about to drop 40 bucks for an ipod protector and cut it to the size of my phone, (since they didn't have any universal type protectors! So I figured what the hell I will go into Verizon. The only reason why its a 4 and not a 5 star is because to guys met me at the entrance like it was a dance club, Please at least wait until im inside the door to pounce on me! However I bought some screen protectors and Sam not only helped me find them but also put it on my phone At&t phone mind you!, Its nice to see them put service back into customer service. And the Assistant manger was pretty damn cool too, was Bullshitting with him outside about his nice Jaguar. All in all great service. read more

It took me over a year to get a $671 rebate that I was entitled to. During that time there was late fees and interest that were not due to anything that I had done. I paid every bill on time. All the late fees and such came up to over $100. they admitted it was their fault. But, they did not refund any of the late fees. Given the fact that I spent a year getting a rebate I was entitled to, I will probably spend another year trying to get the late fees and charges reversed. My best piece of advice? Download an app that recordes every phone call. The only reason I ended up getting my rebate was because after 17 phone calls, every single one was recorded and I could verify everything every person had told me and promised me. Also keep perfect records. Once our latest contract is up, after 11 years with Verizon Wireless, we are trading up to Patriot mobile. They don't hound you, they don't record your phone calls or your text messages, they do not sell information to the government and they do not donate to causes I do not believe in. read more

The employees here have always had great product knowledge and seem to be happy to help. I don't feel pressured into adding a million " must have " gadgets and I leave knowing everything about my new phone. However, I do get annoyed with the door greeter. They always say hello and ask how they can help, only to throw your name on the list. I understand the point of the list, but I don't like that I have to explain my reason for my visit twice. I will still go to this location over the Salem center Verizon 10 times out of 10. read more

This isn't about a particular store. This is about Verizon in general. I actually have had good service at the store. I just have a problem with the company. I have had Verizon for 10 + years. The cost is high but they provide good coverage. To be fair I don't care for AT&T either, but Verizon gave me a deal and I switched. I pay 290 for 5 phones. I cancelled my home phone finally and got copy of the online conversation for my records when I cancelled my home phone. I also upgraded my other services to unlimited data as my kids love there phone too much.lol. They had no problem upgrading me for more cash, but do you think they cancelled my home phone? That's a no. I have continued to pay so they won't ding my credit, but soon they will be losing a customer with a big mouth and a lot of time to bad mouth the company for the next few years. I hope the 60 bucks was worth it. Short sighted if you ask me. Marketing 101. Do what you say you will do and people will say with you, ignore them and some will go the extra mile to filet you. I know you are a big Corp and don't really care but I am have no life and a lot of time to complain. Just my two cents and I feel better now. Thanks for the soap box. read more

However, service declines dramatically after you purchase something there and are on your way. I needed help after leaving and was promptly told "we don't do that, you will have to call Apple Service for help." Seriously? Just spent over $900.00 there and they will not help you? I had a horrible experience today with this people , less than a year ago I bought an iPhone charger from Verizon because the guy told me it had life time warranty so that's why I bought it from them and he didn't specify what damages it covered or not . Then the cable broke and some of the cables were out and it wasn't charging my phone anymore so I went to exchange it and they made me wait for about 10 minutes and the first guy told me "noo it's not life time warranty, it's a year warranty" and I told him what I was told and showed him the cable and he just told me to wait then another guy came up to me and I showed him the cable and he said "it looks like if the cable was abused or closed in a drawer" and my boyfriend proceeded to explain to him what we were told and that it didn't specify what damages it covered otherwise I would of just bought the charger from Apple , but the guy that sold it to me said it had lifetime warranty so that's why I got it, and the guy repeated the same thing so I just said okay thanks and walked away because I was mad because the. Sold me the charger with lies and the guy was rude. I'm going to call corporate and do a complain on their costumer service and how they don't specify what their warranty is and for how long. Never returning to this place. Avoid coming here! read more

Very upset about our experience there. My phone went out on me for the 3rd time since I bought it brand new @ Verizon, and I am about a month away from upgrade. Customer care approved an early upgrade based on our tenure as customer's and payment history. Considering my business is run directly through that phone line I needed a phone that day so customer care instructed me to go to a direct store such as Keizer Station - we did so and they immediately told us they wouldn't help us with the early upgrade. So we contacted customer care again and told them the situation, they asked to speak with the employee to better explain the situation, the employee went and spoke with their manager, Jessica, a young girl with a very bad attitude. He returned and said she wouldn't help us, before the situation was even explained to her. We went over to where she was stocking shelves rather than assisting us, and asked her to let customer care explain the process, she got on the phone and wouldn't listen to the representative, instead she just told the rep that she was wrong, when the rep got back on the phone with me, she said that the manager was rude and was refusing to follow directions on how to assist us in her store. The rep even looked up the in store policies that this manager was referring to and told me the manager was absolutely wrong and if she would just listen and follow the directions of the rep we could be helped. When I told the manager this her response was, "even if I'm wrong and customer service is right I'm still not going to help you guys." I was amazed!! She hadn't even stopped stocking shelves long enough to look up our account - she just plain refused to even TRY to help us, even though the customer care rep was telling her HOW TO DO IT STEP-BY-STEP! The customer service rep was apalled and filed a complaint once I requested the manager's name. We left and half way home received a call from Jessica the manager, stating that she had looked into our account and called customer care and found out a way to help us if we wanted to drive back to Keizer from Stayton!!! UM are you crazy? You couldn't have helped us earlier before we took your name for a complaint? Verizon really needs to stop hiring teeny boppers with bad/prideful attitudes in their face-to-face stores if they want to keep customers paying their large fees. My advice is find ANY other store other than this one to get some help. read more
