On Friday I called Verizon wireless to transfer 1 number from 1 account to another the representative turned my phone off instead of. I was in tears bc not only did they shut my line off but 3 out of the 4 lines I use and none of my children were with me to get in contact with. A very patient and wonderful Verizon associate who is pretty new only been with the company 4 months called Verizon customer service on my behalf and over and hour later had my service restored I've had the number almost 25 years with Verizon. Worst experience I've had with Verizon. My dad and sister wanted to upgrade their phones and what could've been a simple transaction ended up raising my bill significantly. They changed my plan, added charges for mobile hotspot on each line, and added another line with us knowing. Took me 2 hours to get it all fixed through customer service. Very nice store staff. I have made an appointment for a pick of few equipment and the staff called ahead to me to tell me that they don't have in stock so I don't have to drive there for nothing... Cut me off while explaining something and said "so you want to return it." there aren't enough black stars to write the incredibly negative review I have for the store and it's employees especially the manager. You're more interested in displaying their tattoos than they are, and helping their customers. They hang around in the back and leave you sitting for hours once you finally do get weighted on. They don't give you what you need like with the 15 which is entirely different and you can't recharge your battery with what you have at home. You don't get that with the phone and they don't tell you you need it, but that's the least of it. When they transferred all my information from iCloud, I don't know whose phone they were using but it certainly wasn't mine Everything was eliminated and I spent days trying to get all my information back. I got held from Verizon itself which wanted nothing to do with your store. It's really a shame that you can't get some decent people working in there. Young is fine, but young and stupid and lazy is dreadful. They take their Que from the manager, I call him fatty tatty because he was more interested in showing off all his tats that he was in running his store properly. I went there with a new phone, trying to get a new phone number for my new phone. I already have a Verizon phone number, but it's a work number, and now I need a personal number. The guy hates his job so much, that he could messed up with something so simple as selling me a new number. He made me pay 77 dollars to get a new number to get 15gb for 35 dollars - which AFTER I paid him, he said he make a mistake and the 35 dollars plan isn't for 15gb, it's for 100mb. That man could mess with my phone number - because now my new phone number doesn't work -, made me waste money and scammed me. read more

My family have been loyal customers to verizon since we bought our first cellphone plan. After someone compromised one of our phones by spoofing the SIM card, we were recommended by online support to visit a retail location. First we visited a franchise location and described the situation to them they recommended we escalate to a corporate location and we ended up here. A hacker fraudulently used our verizon account to shut down a phone line so they could steal money from our bank account. A simple but scary fraud issue, we hoped the corporate store could easily resolve this. We waited for service for over 30 minutes after being checked in. After that 30 minutes the person who checked us in came over and had me call verizon support and sit there on hold with them. I sat in store on hold and being bounced across multiple departments of Verizon who either didn't understand the issue or just didn't seem to care and would transfer me somewhere else. Verizon's corporate customer service phone support does not give a single shit about their customers. After our experience being on hold and bounced around for hours we are seeking to change phone care providers. That being said one employee did the absolute best they could to assist us and make us feel more secure. Sam made us feel like someone actually cared about our security and experience. They did as much as they could given the limitations of corporate bullshit. I could tell they felt bad that we were getting dragged around on the phone and there wasn't more they could do. A complete waste of time. The "specialist" we spoke with, Marcellus, seemed deliberately unproductive. It's like he was entirely disinterested in addressing our needs and taking our money. I entered this store with my wife looking to trade in two phones (we had a existing arrangement with our family to trade in four phones). The staff member who greeted us at the front was super nice. He explained to us that we needed to wait and apologized for being understaffed that day. We browsed the store and waited patiently for the next specialist. Cool. In comes Marcellus. Marcellus is an interesting man. The best way to understand him starts with describing an experience. Have you ever gotten tired of life and said "screw it, I'm bullshitting this high school history paper". There's something special about doing absolutely nothing but in a super circuitous and seemingly adequate way. That's the essence of Marcellus. Marcellus spoke as soon as we reached his table. Hundreds and hundreds of words -- I lost count. In summary, he claimed he couldn't do anything to help us. He said this, of course, in a manner so verbose and garrulous I was certain he thought he was still in school and had a word minimum to fulfill. I stood there, praying he would finish. Honestly, it would have felt better if he actually tried to upsell us something we didn't need. Something to show me that he still had a shred of motivation. Please! I fully understand how very busy Verizon retail stores are. However, the greeter position should be allocated to a person with good people skills. This was not our experience yesterday. The greeter was not friendly. In fact she acted very dismissive toward us. She neglected to answer a question until I reminded her 30 minutes after arriving. She said her name was Marcella, and I see there are several other posts and comments about her behavior and yet nothing seems to be done. She laughed in me and my father's faces when we asked for service--I do not exaggerate. Said she did not care if we leave. Stood around chatting with another coworker while we waited and actively mocked us. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely and unprofessionally. Yuck. One of the worst telecom experiences I have ever had. I signed up for a Verizon plan, but got pretty horrendous reception in my home. I was within the 14 day cancelation period so I thought it would be a breeze to return it, but I had huge problems. In order to process the return they had to charge me a restocking fee but the system "got stuck". Person after person came by to try it on their tablet or a computer and none could process it. I was literally standing there for nearly 2 hours before they all gave up. Yes, the entire staff including the manager gave up. One of the reps suggested that I leave my credit card number and the phone so they could process it later. I initially agreed but as soon as I walked out the door I asked myself "did I just leave them my full credit card number on a piece of paper"? F*** that. I quick stepped it back and got the phone and credit card info and left. I then called the store in Port Chester who told me I needed to go back to Hartsdale to finish the cancelation because it was held up in the Hartsdale system (which wasn't even working). Why should I go back to the place where they already told me they can't process the transaction without me compromising my credit card security? Fed up at this point, I called the national number who then took the lead. They got in touch with the Hartsdale general manager and supposedly smoothed everything out and set it up so I could walk in and out in moments. Not so. I arrived to the store the next day and was put thru the ringer once again. Nobody knew what was going on and nobody could get the payment processed or the contract canceled. Back to square one with the previous 2 hours being wasted for nothing. After about an hour of them troubleshooting, they just waived the restocking fee which overrode the glitch. Praise the Lord. Unfortunately they couldn't even get a cancelation confirmation printed up so I had to ask for a handwritten copy. Nice company you have there. You wasted 3 hours of my time processing a cancelation which should really take 15 minutes max. I thought AT&T sucked, but Verizon is far worse. On the bright side, I never have to deal with them again, so that's something. read more

I want to make clear that although most reviews mention the inadequate service at Verizon, sales associates, have been nothing but professional, the many times I've been there. I was due for my upgrade and Verizon went above and beyond to hook me up with my bundles and other goodies. Overall, service was calm, quite great and I did not feel hurried. In addition, the Verizon sales associate assisting me, (don't recall name), was experienced, professional and personable throughout the many questions I had about storing my information in a freaking cloud. He later confirmed my coverage and new advanced updates on my iPhone and broke it down for me, in terms of pricing and everything added up nicely. Some of the unhappy customers complained about the unsatisfactory service, but if I may add, if you go in to ANY establishment, being all snooty, chances are, that's exactly what you're going to get in return. read more

I had to give one star as it was the least possible. When this store was at the old location up the street we always found them knowledgeable and helpful. On today's visit they were uninterested in our business account which has been a loyal VERIZON customer for well over 20 years. No upgrades at this time despite the massive advertising they do. And, worst of all we discovered that since December of 2021 we've been paying for a line we didn't even have. It was supposedly removed at that time when we purchased a new I-pad. The representative there was not interested in helping in any way and left us alone after he called customer service for us. He then went up front to chat with four of his co-workers that were doing nothing. We had paid nearly $800 for this line since 12/21 and they all they were willing to give us $130. What. A. Nightmare. And a costly one. I have never had to leave one negative review in my life -- but I have to do it for the Hartsdale Verizon store. I went there looking to upgrade my iPhone. They didn't have the new phone I wanted in stock. I said, "Oh, never mind then. I'll just order it online on the VZW site and upgrade that way." But they said that I could help them with their commission/sale if I go through them instead. The representative said: "Here's what we're going to do. I'm going to put in an order for the new phone and indicate that your phone was returned here at the store. But you can take your existing phone home, and hold onto it until the new one arrives. Once the new one arrives, bring your old phone back and it will all be taken care of." I said "Sure! If it helps you get the sale, I'm happy to do it that way!" My new phone came, I returned my existing phone back to Hartsdale the very next day. End of story. Or so it should have been. Except it wasn't. I have been getting calls every couple of weeks for MONTHS from Verizon saying they never received my phone. The store never sent it in. All of these calls resolved with, "Well, don't worry, we see it was returned to the store so you're good." Yet it kept happening. What finally caused me to snap is that a collections agency called me this morning. It never should have progressed this far but it has and I'm stuck having to pay hundreds of dollars for a phone I returned and don't own. I went to the Verizon company store in Hartsdale to purchase a new i phone. The person "helping" me was only interested in "up selling" me more items - at first he came out with an i phone and an ipad. I told him I only wanted to buy my $1000+ i phone, screen protector, and case, he took the ipad back and came out with a device to get me a "wi fi hotspot" with a $20/month additional charge. The iphone - with its unlimited data plan can be used as a "wi fi hotspot" if needed. He wouldnt just sell me the iphone, I told him (politely) that I didn't want the device. When I got home, the device was in my bag....and I now have a $20/month charge for 2 years for something I DID NOT WANT. They are liars and scamers. Not knowledgable at all. They told me that if I buy a new phone, I would get one free. They said all I would have to do is start a new line and cancel my old line to get the deal. This is not true, you have to keep both lines. So I ended opening a new line and having to pay for both phones because my old line was cancelled. When I ask for a refund, they said I need to pay a $200 restocking fee. I signed up as a new customer then all hell broke loose. I set up a tech visit then was told if I didn't want to wait the TEN days I could go into the store and install the router myself. Drove to the store (40 minutes away), the guy there said he couldn't give me a router and that even if he could it wouldn't work because it needs another part that he couldn't give me. I called and they said no problem, the tech was still coming out on the day scheduled. Tech never showed then I spent three hours and spoke to 12 people to try to get it rescheduled in a timely way and no one could help me. They kept bouncing me around (12 people!) and giving me different information. The supervisor they referred me to in another area never phoned me back. And I kept getting kicked back to customer service FOR THREE HOURS with no one able to help. I just switched to Optimum. Easy breezy, as it should be. Verizon is the worst. Was in the area looking at cars and decided to stop in to remove unnecessary add-ons. Come in and am greeted warmly and that's were the pleasant experience ends. I spent the next hour dealing with a "Solutions" specialist (a term that should be used loosely) who knows less than I do about the products and plans and only answer was "I would have to call Customer Service". Since it's kinda late I'm open to calling them so they can get everything taken care of. After being on the phone for 30 minutes I'm told something the store did is preventing them from making in changes to the account for 24 hrs. These people are indeed incompetent workers that are putting blame of the stores mistake on the customer. So I was proposed...there's nothing we can do so come back tomorrow. Run far away from this place. Was sent to this store to fill our paperwork by Verizon service today. - Andrew had me wait 45 minutes to fill out paperwork that he could not fill out. He referred me to Tayana. -Tayana told me should could not fill out paperwork and sent to home with a web address on a post it. When I called a Verizon Supervisor (Anna ID 326-945) She told me they should have been able to take care of my paperwork. As some posts have mentioned before, these sales people will fast talk you into including an accessories pack which they literally just include in your final bill without getting your confirmed approval. I had an absolutely horrible experience with Verizon FIOS. I moved to White Plains recently and ordered Verizon FIOS service. The technician came a few days later to set it up, for which I had to take half a day off. He didn't seem to know what he's doing, and took an entire morning getting nothing done but sitting in my bedroom chatting with his accompanying coworker. I called Verizon about this, the representative is very impatient and rude, not listening to me at all. I asked to talk to her manager and she just put me on hold for 10 minutes and hung. WTF I called again another day, and this time Amy was helpful and set up another appointment with me. I took another half day off for this. Luckily, this time the technician got it done. I thought that'd be the end of the hassle, but no... Two days later, I bought a new power strip, unplugged and replugged those Verizon devices to the new powerstrip. It suddenly stopped working! I called technical support, but the guy couldn't help and tried to explain how the stupid system works, which I don't care about. now I have to have another appointment with some technician... This is absolutely crazy, I thought Time Warner was bad enough, but Verizon just redefined my expectation for a ISP. I dream the day that google fiber comes and end this shit show. read more

First off, let me start by saying I have been using this location since they opened and EVERY SINGLE time they mess my order up, or a "promotion" that is promised to me is never applied. Their reps are clueless and never really know what they're doing. Well, it just happened again...was told I would get $100 off iWatch (end of 2018 promo) if I upgraded my phone and that I would see it on my next bill. Now, three months later still no credit, so I called and now they're telling me it wasn't $100, it was $50 and that it was never applied to my order. My brother-in-law was the one who told me about the promotion and so I went there to get it. He has it but I don't and conveniently they can't look at his account to compare since I'm not on it. PS - If you ever ship something back ... HOLD ON TO THE TRACKING INFO cuz they will always say they didn't receive it. This place sucks...and Verizon's customer service in general sucks. The absolute WORST Verizon store. The managers make false promises to make sure they get your business. When it comes time to purchase the phone they act like you are dumb and misunderstood. They are extremely pushy and tag team with their coworkers to try to get you to buy accessories from their store even after you clearly tell them you have everything you need and only want to purchase the phone. (My direct sales girl told me that they only get commission on what they sell in addition to the phone) I knew they didn't have the phone I wanted in store and they were going to order it and I'd get it in two days. Great...I was happy. Well....Before they would process the sale it was an hour of them trying to get me to get an iPad and bundle with my upgrade iPhone. I made it very clear multiple times, that I just need the phone nothing else. After seeing I won't budge (the manager makes a comment too that I'm "Ms. no I don't want any of your other deals") they tell me to come back on Black Friday because they were going to have crazy deals. I told them I didn't want to be anywhere near Central Ave on Black Friday. They then said the phone I wanted will be in stock by then and will be $400 cheaper. The manager took out the calculator and even did the math to show how cheap my monthly payments would be. "Your bill will even go down monthly". Who could turn that down?! Fast forward to Black Friday...I had texted the sales associate that I was coming. She had given me her number on Monday to text her so she would pull the phone for me when the stick came in. I get there and she hadn't pulled the phone for me like she said she was going to do and made me wait while she helped another two customers. She finally gets to me...starts the transaction...I pay the $63 I have left on my current phone. Then she says she is going to process the trade-in. They allow me to take the phone so I can complete my transfer. I return within 2 hours to give the phone in. I see the manager he tells me where the sales girl is located. I find her, she walks me through the final reset and I hand over the phone. It's a week later and something told me to call the Verizon 1800 number and ask about the trade-in. The customer service rep tells me that there was no trade-in on my account. She calls the store and they have no recollection of me returning the phone. Then they said there was an issue processing the trade-in. Saying I should come back in with the phone. The customer service rep conferences me into the call and I speak with the store employee. I tell him I brought the phone in and handed it to my sales girl. She comes on the phone and says I never came in. I am furious at this point because they have basically stolen from me. They tell me they need time to gather their information and that they would call me back. I head to their store after we hang up because I want some answers and my phone that I paid for. I'm half way there and they call back and say they found my phone and could process the trade in over the phone. At this point how can I trust that they were really processing this trade in that should have been done last week?! I get to the store and the employee doesn't even apologize for the inconvenience they have caused me. He has a nasty attitude as if he's doing me a favor. Tells me I can just take my phone and I can do the trade in by calling the 1800 number with the Verizon wireless customer service reps. So that is exactly what I did. I will never go there for anything ever again. If I hadn't called I would have never known my trade-in never processed. They are a bunch of thieves and liars. Stay away!!!!!! read more

I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years but apparently at this location on Central Ave it doesn't mean anything. I went to upgrade my daughters phone and they tried to sell me something that we didn't need at the time. When we upgrade we usually get a little something for being such a loyal customer, for the past 3 times we have gone to that store we were offered nothing only an attitude.
