Finally on my recent trip there for my latest project they helped me find a substitute Jack for the RJ25 connectors. This not only allowed me to salvage a damaged robot. But now I have a flexible tool for troubleshooting and prototyping. Now they are my first stop whenever I am gathering materials for my projects. Anyway, after it didn't work, I took it back to the store, but they would not accept it as it was a couple days after the 30 day return policy. I understand the need for 30 day policy for electronic items for sure, however I felt this was a bit different since their employee repeatedly told me it would work for my needs. I had all packaging and receipts, and would have even been good with store credit, but they were unwilling to do anything for me. I went into the store about 20 minutes after they had opened and the two women working there were very nice and helped me find exactly what I needed. The inside of the store was clean and well organized. The store has definitely become more based around cell phones and their accessories, but It was nice to see they still had the parts that made them who they are. Frustrated and out of options, I was on my way to a shop to ship my computer off for two months--already resigned to buying a temporary PC in the meantime. Then, I decided to stop by Undead electronics on the way, and everything changed. Not only could they fix my motherboard, but they evaluated it immediately and told me on the spot whether it was repairable. They even had it ready the same day! I wish I had found this place sooner. The customer service while busy was quick and very friendly. The fact that this was the only place in Raleigh that I could find to solder my battery pin back to the motherboard was surprising, but I am incredibly thankful for their expertise and efficiency.
