I had an appointment and I was in and out in like 7 mins tops!! No clue how anyone else ended up waiting more than 30 mins never mind upwards of two hours. Staff are superb, maybe if customers don't act like dicks the staff might actually have some empathy & hook you up with a special you may not have known about. The hate for spectrum service is insane too. I've had it for several years and my service needed attention when I first got it but it's been on point for several years without issue. Only reason I was even in the store was because I called about an outage and was NICE about it and rep had empathy and pointed out I could get better services for the same price I was already paying. So I had to swap out my equipment. Pro tip: If you have 800 devices connected to WiFi, you're going to have issues because it "shares" that bandwidth. The solve for that is get your own WiFi router & set the Quality of Service (QoS) settings to keep your 800 devices in check or get a tech person to set that up for you. Spectrum is providing the service and it's not their fault you have 800 WiFi enabled devices. It's like buying a car that holds 4 passenger and you cram 8pp in it then complain you're only getting 8 miles per gallon. Stop the madness!

When fiber optic came to our area we knew we wanted to switch and see if it was better. We were…read moredefinitely underwhelmed with the time it took for installation. We signed up in October (2022) and did not officially have internet until the end of February (2023). Being that the service was new to the area and they were heavily promoting, I would have expected better staffing to turnaround these installs quicker. Luckily we had internet already as a backup so we were not out of service that entire time. During that period where we were trying to get the service installed we had several techs show up only to advise the fiber optic wires still needed to be run. After the first time we continued to tell customer service that the wires needed to be run prior to sending a service tech, but we continued to run into the same issue each time. Finally once the lines were run, we had some issues with getting a service tech out again. We were rescheduled and then on our reschedule date told that they never actually submitted the reschedule and it got further pushed out, adding an additional 2 weeks. Where my stars do come into play is the internet itself. We have had luck with it being fast and reliable. My prior internet would cut out for a few seconds throughout the day, leaving me with issues for meetings when I work from home, but so far we have not had any issues with that. We also received a nice modem for use. We are just hoping our prices don't increase drastically after the initial offer period. Also hoping that time-to-time maintenance is not as much of a struggle as installation was. Service techs were friendly through our experiences with them.

Call #2: No email arrived. No delivery. This round, I was told it was 'lost' and they supposedly sent the new modem/route to my office where all deliveries are logged. Of course, the same bs story about UPS sending me an email with tracking number blah blah blah Call #3: No email or product arrived. This time, they scheduled an appointment with their lack of technical expertise technicians AGAINST my wishes and when I blew a fuse, had a "Supervisor" named Rod or Ron or whatnot call me back. HE did. Again, I was given an 'order' number and told that UPS would send me an email with the tracking number. It's going on 3 weeks with spotty internet & bs from their so-called 'Supervisors' Call #4: HEAD OFFICE. To be continued...

It took me 6 minutes, a robot, and a conversation with someone in India to actually talk to a person in the store itself. Here's the last 30 days: I was contacted by a representative of Verizon (Greg) to try their 5G Wifi service for $25 per month. They told me that I was pre approved based on my years with Verizon and my address. It would be $25/mo but the first 30 days would be free. I called a day later to confirm with Greg, and that's when he told me I actually don't qualify based on my address, even though my address is what qualified me to receive a call from him to begin with. Five days later, I get another call from Greg that the system refreshed and I now qualify again, so we go ahead with the deal. I retained my previous Wifi just in case, because I was trying the 30 day free trial. Within three weeks, the service was spotty and I saw it would not work for me. I have an entire week left of my 30 day trial, and I try to text Greg from the number he provided and he never returned my text. I went in store to return the internet set. It was cancelled, and that's when I saw I was charged $50 extra in my monthly bill. I asked AJ, the manager, what that was about, and he said he was unable to help with any kind of billing issue. You're a manager...what? So now I'm currently in the store on a long hold with the billing Dept waiting for a resolution. They're trying to make this charge and surcharge make sense as they cancel, but it's a stretch. IN STORE calling to resolve this, where on the phone they tell me that they don't have confirmation in their system that they have the internet set. IM IN THE STORE WITH THE BOX. AJ confirms that they have the box and gives the confirmation number, but they said it still doesn't show in their system so I will have to wait to see it show, and I will not be refunded but I will be CREDITED to my account. I did not ask for a credit, I want it refunded to my original method of payment. I have to wait for the WAREHOUSE to receive the internet set, then after 24 hours I should receive my refund. Then AJ says we should call billing Dept....that's who we were just on the phone with. He has also had one headphone in this entire time. Management not being aware make this even more frustrating. Verizon does not treat its customers well, overcharges, double charges, and adds surcharges. They make it impossible to get in contact with a customer service representative on the phone, and they know since they have the best coverage, you won't leave. Really bad customer care. If you need to have the cell coverage, sure go with them, but absolutely do not get any other service.
