Really terrible customer service, I would honestly stay away from this store. I came in on April 15th, walked in and saw no employees at all. Waited about 5 minutes, finally one guy comes out and doesn't acknowledge me at all - goes straight to a lady sitting down and continues talking to her. Never once says "hi" or "it will be 5 minutes." I wait and wait (at least another 10-15 minutes) and finally come up behind them and ask how much longer "oh at least 20 minutes." Seriously?!? Why is there only 1 worker working here? Why is he so rude? Does Verizon not train customer service? I had one question that would have taken a second to respond! read more

Very disappointed with the customer service at the Verizon store located at 1507 E Valley Pkwy, Ste 4, Escondido, CA. There was only one employee working named Anthony, and the experience was very unpleasant. The employee was rude and not helpful when I asked questions. Other staff present did not introduce themselves and were also unfriendly. Customer service should be respectful and professional, and unfortunately that was not the case during my visit. Came in to upgrade my phone and my moms with a trade in deal. There was supposed to be an $840 credit on both phones, we also used their apple watch promotion to get a $500 credit on the apple watch. When we looked at the bill, not only where their multiple activation fees which we where not informed about, but NONE of the trade in credits where applied to our bill. We where told we where getting a massive discount in store, but behind the scenes they set us up to finance almost $3000. We had to spend 3 hours on the phone with customer service to get this resolved and get our bill to what it should have been. We also restructured our plan while we where there and they messed that up too, downgrading a line we didn't ask to downgrade and adding an additional hot spot add-on. Not to mention the employee who set up our phone accepted the Apple Terms and Conditions FOR us and clicked through the new phone set up on his own. He turned OFF location sharing services and skipped the Apple Pay and faceID setup screens... We had to backtrack through settings retroactively. I'm beyond disappointed that a big corporation like Verizon attempted to scam us this hard. And frankly the new phone setup process was unacceptable as well. The sales people that are listed on this breakdown are Karissa J and Adric G. I'm thinking about going to the police about this I'm pretty sure what they've done is illegal. read more

With the Verizon logo on the store I did not realize the this is actually Victra. Found that out when I called Verizon and Verizon said I would have to go back to the store to resolve my issue. Went to the store and the employee could not help me and I had to return the next day at 10:00 to talk to AJ. AJ wasn't there at 10:00, had to chill until 10:30. After spending 3 hours yesterday and 2 hours today I think it's resolved. I wouldn't use this store, I would go to an actual Verizon store. read more

Went by 12-13-24 at 1:20 and people were inside and some sitting down on cars. Not sure but didn't look like employees and door was locked. Tried pulling and pushing on the door and yes it said pull so tried and not one single person behind the counter even responded with a hand signal or anything. That's service now in the worst kind. Was looking to start new account with iPad, phone and watch bundle plus another phone but ATT will be where I'm going. Especially if this is the service I have to look forward to. First off, Elmer was our rep, and he deserves 5 stars. No, in fact, he deserves 10 STARS! He was very thorough and did everything he could to fix our problem. If he were my employee, I'd give him a raise. So the rating really reflects the process. The process and the hassle we had to go through to do (what we thought would be) a simple upgrade was ridiculous. We came into the store at least 3 times, and spent a total of at least 8 hours of our time in the store over a period of 3 different days to upgrade our phones and fix an error on the order that kept preventing us from activating our new phones. Never going to Victra again. Never. Go to a real Verizon store and save the headache. read more

Had to get a new flip phone for my elderly mother because Verizon is phasing out the old one, bought one from the website and came in to this store to transfer contacts to the new phone. I figured they had something to transfer the info easily or at least could tell me the best way to do it. There were two employees and one customer so they weren't busy by any means, I explained what I needed to the girl and she said no, they had no way to transfer the contacts, the other employee agreed and they told me I had to input each contact one by one. I went home, did a Google search and it turns out you can pair the phones with Bluetooth and transfer the contacts. It worked and was easy. Bottom line, customer service sucks at this location. read more

I originally came in to upgrade a family members phone who is on our plan. The young man who helped me assured me that upgrading my own phone would be beneficial. At my own hesitance I upgraded and now have nothing but problems. This is issue number one. Issue two is this... Bibi is terrible with customer service. She is rude, condescending and ignorant. She will treat you like you're scum and stupid. Management should really consider some training for this individual. She is neither helpful nor capable. I hope they consider investing is customer service training, or training on how to interact with other humans. Besides all of what happened after, she tried to tell me i was wrong in that I didn't come to this location but was mistaken and really went to Oceanside. No... I came here. I've dealt with you before and every time she is rude and arrogant. Today I learned what an "authorized retailer" is, and unfortunately this place will keep me from going to one again. Go to a corporate store instead. Came in to upgrade a phone. Was lied to about getting a "free tablet" device with it, which ended up costing a lot more than nothing and ended up with a 10 dollar monthly service that was not ONCE disclosed during my whole time at the store. Oh, and I feel like I got scammed on a fifty dollar screen protector that didn't sit on the device correctly. No options or prices were given for the screen protector, the gentlemen just took it upon himself to just put on one and charge us for it without saying a word. If you look at other A Wireless Verizon retail locations, you'll see that this "free tablet" practice seems to be common across all of their stores... seems like the problem comes from the top. read more

Yelp should allow reviewers to leave zero stars as a rating. Even 1 star is way too high to give this business establishment. One of the employees there by the name of Ashlee is really mean and disrespectful to customers and has a really rotten attitude. (It's the A.A. girl, about 5'6" tall with the dark shoulder-length hair, tattoo on her arm, and nose piercing.) During my visit to this store a few days ago, this girl Ashlee, had basically started yelling at me and arguing with me back and forth after I'd endured having to put up with her really nasty, stank attitude for several minutes. At first, I didn't say anything at all, but when she had started aggressively shoving/tossing stuff at me across the sales counter, that had finally been the last straw! So naturally, I had tried to reason with her. She wanted no part of it, whatsoever. So finally, after several minutes of putting up with her egregiously disrespectful and just downright stank attitude, I'd finally had enough, and it became necessary for me to check her on all of this rude behavior. At no point in time though (contrary to what she'd claimed afterwards, before kicking me out of the store and then threatening to call the police on me.... and all over a simple misunderstanding), had I ever yelled at her or accosted her, which is what she'd tried to allege afterwards while on the phone with her manager, which had been a total lie. Ashlee's rude and disrespectful behavior had consisted of just some of the following: aggressively shoving my sales receipt and phone cable cord package towards me on the sales counter, rolling her eyes, sneering at me with a sarcastic grin, telling me: "too bad, well then just leave the store and don't come back if you're not satisfied, because we don't really need the hassle associated with your piddly 10 dollar business anyways." I kid you not, those were her exact words to me, verbatim. Then afterwards, when I informed her that I was calling corporate to report her, she simply shrugged her shoulders, laughed out loud like it was all a funny joke, and then ordered me to "get the #### out, and don't you ever come back or we will be calling the police!! You are no longer welcome here, any longer, and we will have you arrested the next time you trespass on your property." And all of this had stemmed from me trying to provide her with a bit of knowledge and education about what types of phones are compatible with various cords, since she had been in error about the one that she was trying to sell me. (Because it was at a much higher price point.) Honestly, this Ashlee character at Verizon gives your company such an awful name and contributes so poorly to your public image, that I just simply cannot for the life of me understand how/why Verizon chooses to retain her employment? Ashlee epitomizes everything that you are never supposed to do to a customer, and how you are never supposed to treat them! Stay away from this store, and Ashlee in particular... unless you just simply don't mind being treated like total dirt, like you are the scum of the Earth! read more

At first disappointed because we tried to go on a Saturday night, looked up the hours and was going to be open until 9. We arrived and it's clearly closed. Please update your hours online, as well as on your phone recording. Went Sunday afternoon and Steven took care of us. He wasn't pushy and listened to what we were looking to buy. When processing our purchase their computer system needed to be restarted. It ended up not being too painful because James came out and easy conversation really helped the time go by quicker. My husband came in to this location on a Friday night after his phone slid off of our car while picking our dog up from the ER. No lie! His mom had her old iPhone X that she let him use, but even with authorization, Ian refused to activate it and even threw him out of the store and refused him service in the future. Ian is not interested in helping you. Hubby got great service from Go Wireless in the Promenade next to Target and said they were the most helpful retail location he's dealt with. read more

Came in to switch over two lines from my previous carrier to Verizon and was taken care of by Tyler Jardine. He was very informative of all the different options and offers available and made my switch feel very smooth and quick. He had great communication and customer service and was quick to answer our questions. Along with these traits he was also very energetic and kept us engaged and laughing. Nothing about our transaction felt shady or left me with questions. 1 day with Verizon and we are already impressed. Definitely a huge turn around from previous staff. My phone broke and I desperately needed to get a new one so I came here. Before showing up, I called to make sure they were open and that the worker would be ok to help me even though they were closing soon. Before I got there, I already knew which phone I was going to buy however the worker was impatient and in a rush because he wanted to get his commission and go home. He was not very thorough in explaining the promotion and plan. And he seemed bothered that I took the time to read each page in the contract before signing a legal document. This place even charges you a "set up and go" fee which is to activate your phone. Once I spoke to a corporate representative, they told me I should have never been charged the activation fee because it should be free and its apart of their job. After this experience and doing research I see why people do not like going to "authorized retailer" stores. read more

Technical support! One of the phones on my plan took a dive and I walked into Verizon thinking it was going to be an easy fix. Just by a phone, get in, get out. Well that wasn't the case. The current manager Andrew was unbelievably helpful and showed a level of customer service that is rare to see. Do not come to this store, this is a 3rd party store where they get away with more things. They add surcharges to make commission. I went in to buy an apple watch that I insisted on purchasing knowing there was a restocking fee of $20 if returned. . I was charged a $15 set up and go fee when nothing was set up, i was never advised of that charge either. I went in same day to corporate store and purchased an apple watch with 0 hidden fee's. They advised me this location is known for ripping people off. I went in next day to return because I couldnt return at verizon due to me purchasing from private owned store and restocking fee was $50 not $20. If you want amazing service go to an actual VERIZON store and not "Victra" where they rip you off. My fault for coming to this store, my mistake costed me $25 because they took off $25 for inconvenience and if I never went into corporate store I would have stayed getting ripped off. The service in the Victra Verizon Store is EPIC! James took all the time necessary to take care of my wife and I. He also looked out for other customers that he could help during some of our wait time. He was very attentive, looked out for all of our needs and requests (& met them all)! He was also very careful with our $. We had a GREAT TIME upgrading our phones and getting a new tablet. Highly recommend that you visit the store if you need any wireless equipment. I can see by some of the reviews that the level of service definitely depends on the individual who takes care of you in this location. I was very fortunate to come in when George Garcia was on duty. He was wonderful. Verizon had terminated service on my 91 year old mother's cell phone....not because of non-payment (she was on auto-pay) but because they changed the plan. It was much too confusing for her to try to sign up for a new plan on her old flip-phone and of course Verizon does not publish a phone number so customers are unable to work with a live voice. Her phone is her life-line, so I had to pick it up and take over. George turned my very frustrating afternoon around by very graciously assisting me in calling Verizon, changing the plan, posting the first payment, telling me how to set up auto pay and even showing me a couple of tips on how to make using my mom's old flip phone easier for her. WOW! Thank you again, George!! Judging by some of the reviews, I don't think it was exemplary training....I think George is just an exceptionally customer service oriented person. For the electronics recycling operation: my only comment is that the hours aren't predictable. They are posted as being open 11 to 5, but the fellow working there kicked us out as we were arriving since he wanted to go to lunch. Three cheers for Daniel! My device was acting up, and I thought it was broken. I had just purchased it online about a month ago from the Verizon website. I went to my local store, figuring I would have to get a new one, maybe I damaged it somehow, or I got a dud? Daniel was helping someone else out at the time when I walked in, and as soon he saw me he said he would be right with me. It's nice to be acknowledged. We both kind of figured it was broken after some investigation. He explained unfortunately that since I got it online, I would have to go to a different store (corporate) to get it swapped out. He offered to check the other store to make sure they were still open. Then, he decided to see maybe it just needed a reset. Why didn't I think of that? Anyway, it worked! A reset worked! I didn't have to drive to San Marcos after all, and even though he thought he couldn't help me because I got it online and this wasn't a corporate store, he was able to help me and it saved me a trip across town. read more
