Aside from there being only two employees visibly working, it was impossible to get any help the same day as I arrived. So, I was required to make an appointment to come back on another day by a very rude employee. Everything else about Verizon's service is fine, with the exception of their stores. I started going to this location a long time ago. Now it is small and the wait is long. The customer service team was nice in the check in process but the actual agent I was working with literally told me that Verizon did not want to do business with me and he couldn't help me. So he suggested I call them directly and I did. The actual call center was far more helpful than this place. They will not let you try the watches on as they are bolted to the wall for theft purposes. The parking lot is always filled up. You need more company stores and better staff who actually care about their potential customers. read more

An overall lackluster experience. Scheduling an appointment online was easy. I arrived 15 minutes early and checked in. 5 minutes after my appointment time, I walked to the door and was greeted by an associate. He checked my appointment time and asked me to wait a few more minutes and that they'd text me when the next associate could assist. Within 10 minutes I was invited in (I waited outside). I don't even know my associate's name or if he shared it. Purchasing the upgrade was fairly easy as he walked me through a few prompts and entries. As I entered my payment info i asked about a case and screen protector. But shouldn't he have asked me about these? I stepped away to look at watches and when I turned back to our seating area, he had placed 6 or 7 cases down. I sorted through them and chose 1. He returned and asked if I'd picked one. Then walked me to a kiosk to pay. Soooo didn't I just pay on my phone through the app?? Why not combine my entire order?? He then responded to the screen protector question by saying they were out and if he had them he would've offered it to me. I'm not very tech savvy but after confirming I had the Samsung app on my phone he told me to just start the process and it would all transfer. Ummmm so just send me on my way after I just spent $1200 and you're not even going to offer to do this on your speedy wifi here in the store?? I went across the street to another mobile phone company's store, bought the screen protector and they offered to put it on for me. There was just no energy from my associate. Went in today to purchase a new iPad Pro and trade in my old one. This place has the worst attitude I've ever experienced. I came in there with plenty of $$$$$ & knew exactly what I wanted. So , all I was told to sit down and someone will check if they have it in stock! So I waited & waited for about 30 minutes and left! Who in the hell do you think you are Verizon mini store?? Every time I visit your store it is has gotten smaller & smaller, due to your piss poor customer service! Service sucks. Customer service at this store will not pick up the phone, service reps have no idea how to assist with cell service issues. There is no way to contact anyone when your cell/data service ceases to work. Rates continue to increase, service continues to diminish daily. read more

If I could give 0 starts I would . Went into the store to end service for my father in laws line (he is deceased ) whose line was on my husbands account . Rep disconnected the line and then told us he had to keep the iPhone (which only had 3 payments left ) and that there was nothing he could do. That didn't sit well with me nor did it make any sense. We wanted to keep the phone and the rep did not explain any of this to us. He went to the manager who said he couldn't reverse the transaction. My husband and I called the 1800 Verizon number and they stayed on the phone with us for almost 2 hours trying to get this resolved . The rep in the store flat out lied and said that he told us that upfront which was not the case, and got upset when confronted about it and stated "we have cameras " and accused us of lying.I've never been such lack of professionalism , accountability, and lack of compassion from a team in my life. read more

This Verizon Wireless store sells defective products to military personnel and refuses to exchange them under warranty. The screen of my Samsung Galaxy S3, which I paid full retail ($600) for, broke in my pocket at the mall within 30 hours of purchasing it. I did not think this was too much of a problem since Samsung warranties cover defects in "material, design, and workmanship," and section 8.2-314 of the Uniform Code of Commerce of Virginia states that an implied warranty exists to the extent that items purchased "are fit for the ordinary purposes for which such goods are used." However, when I went back to the store to try to exchange it, one of the five managers, Raven, told me that my phone was not designed to be carried in a pocket. Raven then told me that these phones do not break without abuse. When I responded by illustrating that my phone did not contain a single scratch or dent, and noting that a brief google search had illustrated that some Samsung Galaxy S3s had a tendency to break quite easily, Raven stated, "I have worked in the cell phone industry for 11 years, I know a little bit more than the internet." When I went back to this store, read Raven this review, and asked to speak to the actual store manager before publishing it, I was told that he cannot be reached for the next month. Considering this experience, if you need to purchase a new phone or renew your policy, I highly recommend that you instead move your business to the Verizon Wireless store in Southgate. read more

I went to exchange a watch I purchased and received in the mail yesterday. It was the wrong size and I wanted to order the correct one and return the one I received. After my 40 minute wait, I approached the rep and told him what happened, he immediately implied that I had stolen the watch. He asked had it been opened then asked if he looked at my account would it say I clicked the right watch to purchase. The rep I purchased from in Virginia Beach told me I had thirty days to return or exchange so why did it matter if it had been opened? Usually when you go to a Verizon store the first thing they do is pull up your account. This man never did this. This is the second time I have been in this store and I have walked out both times. I will never use this store again. I suggest you don't either. Find another store. read more

first the bad.... the wait time is extremely long and there is only one bench in the back of the store to sit on. They could definatly benefit from some chairs in there. now the good . customer service was beyond expectations and awesome. Went today to this branch and received WORST service ever received at a Verizon store. First, we waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged and put on a wait-list while some employees were just talking to each other. We then went to Best Buy across the street to get the phone we wanted... took us 15 minutes total. We went back to Verizon to help activate the phone and transfer data. When we were finally helped the employee told us the phone didn't take Verizon and then (after pointing out that he just had to switch the card) he had the nerve to ask us "why the hell did you leave and get it at Best Buy..." Went back to Best Buy and the took the same phone and activated it through Verizon. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS VERIZON STORE!!! Just go across the street to Best Buy. Best Buy has better service, better deals, better selection, and no smart@$$ Verizon employees to deal with. read more

I went to this store on 9/30/2017 with my sister and 3 year old nephew. After waiting for OVER 2 HOURS for service, we asked if we could use the bathroom. The representative, said "no we don't allow customers to use the bathroom". I asked why, since we had just signed up for a 2 YEAR CONTRACT with this company. Another, representative said it was "because some Verizon stores have been robbed" and "she had to protect her employees". I can't believe that a customer who spends their hard earn money and time, cannot use the bathroom? Where is the integrity and customer service and rights? This is how Verizon treat paying customers! I will be honest all the times I had to go to the Verizon store here in Colonial Heights to ask a question about either my phone or my bill or figure out something with my phone. The wait times as not bad at all. They were very helpful always making sure they have answered my question. I am very happy with this company. The dismissive attitudes and exhorbitant wait times in the Southpark (non mall) store contributed to me becoming angry and resentful during my "endurance contest" while waiting to buy a new phone. You folks have got to get it together! The only good point about the night was the salesperson who waited on me, diffused my anger which resulted in me getting the phone, a case and a car charger. It never used to be like this with snotty and annoying staff, but lately every time I come in there is an ISSUE with attitude, arrogance and absolute refusal by your staff to even make eye contact as the poor, tired and disgusted person waits, and waits, and waits. The assistant manager, Sam Eau, first tried to give me someone else's card when I asked for his to report his nastiness. He complained that they were short staffed (no wonder!) and chalked it up to that. Jeremy was having a LONG conversation with his customer after serving them about allergies, states he's lived in, etc. I could have handled it better if he had wound it up with the couple ahead of me, but no, he knew I was waiting and he said nothing to me, nor did he even make eye contact. I have spent literally thousands of dollars over the years I have been with Verizon and if you want my business, then hire more people like Melanie Mungo. She was awesome! She is a pro, knows how to diffuse angry people (and boy, was I angry!) and have them singing and laughing out the door. Women are not stupid, nor are we cheap. We buy stuff. As many others have posted, do not go to this store unless you have nothing else important to do that day. I went in two days ago and got the standard "It will be a 30 minute wait" spiel from the doorman. I guess I got lucky, it was only a 75 minute wait. The store was packed with people waiting, only three benches were available (guess the store manager can't order anymore). I came in your store Sept. 29 to get a new phone, while waiting, note I have not talked to anyone, I get a receipt on my phone for a purchase for 804-712-XXXX that is not any of our numbers we are 804-896-XXXX. I got a manager, Kumar he said wait your are next someone will be with you and we can look at your acct. They did look at it and the person just left the store and I am charged 91.05 they said they took care of it. Today my bill said I still owed that 91.05 and to boot, I get all her emails. They cant take my email addy off her acct because I am not authorized, you stupid plp. After another call to Verizon call center we did a conference call with Chris the DR. Said it is all taken of, 12 yrs and 3 phones with them. You should have cleared my bill for the hours that I have been dealing with this, and your notes reflect it too. Customer service said WoW you have had an issue as she is reading the notes. My husband and I went to Colonial Heights Verizon store in hopes of getting questions answered about our plan and adding a device. We were told we couldn't bring our device even though there was one on display exactly like it. We would have to buy a new one without any alternative options given. We asked to speak to the manager, because it seemed completely illogical. I can't remember the initial employee's name. The manager (Sam) was very rude, and it took everything I had not to be ugly. He didn't seem to care about our predicament or want to help. The manager pulled another employee into the conversation which ended up being both ours and Verizon's saving grace. Brian was an absolute delight. He gave us another alternative that cost us $0. Great! Brian is the ONLY reason I'm not giving a one star to this location. It was a long wait. Apparently this is a busy store, but if it is that busy, staff it with more people. In addition they have two separate lists of customers. When they greet you at the door, what appears to be customer service is more or less a way to put you into the sales line (probably the fast track) or the service line. I get this set up from a business standpoint, but the bottom line is that when a customer comes in the door, if he/she came in first, he/she should get served first, no matter what his/her reason for being there. I spoke to a sales supervisor/manager whose name was Bidal or something similar I tried to see his name tag but he was too far away, and I should have looked when he was standing in front of me. He walked over and asked me for my ID so he could "pre-screen" me, most likely so he could see what sales/upsells, etc., were available to me. I asked him a quick question about a phone upgrade, to which he replied "This could turn into a long conversation and I really don't have the time because I need to get back on the floor, so when you get to talk to a salesperson, you can ask him/her as many questions as you want." My thought is that a) he should answer my question because I am a customer standing right in front of him and b) even if he needed to get "back on the sales floor," he should have stated it differently in front of a customer. By the way when I first got to the store, I saw customers leaving this particular individual and telling the associate at the door, "That was poor customer service." I thought it might be the customer, but I was wrong. I must say that the salesman was great, but unfortunately because the long wait and the poor customer service of the sales supervisor/manager, I have to give 1 star. read more
