We at the Wellington apartments had door to door sales people come around, many of us signed up. I signed up for internet & a phone but sent the phone back bc I still owed money on my Galaxy phone via spectrum. Shayta, my sales rep said my internet would be $20 with snap & autopay so that's what i did. It was a lie. My bill is not $20. I have email Chris Britton with no response. I have called CS with no answers to why my bill is different than promised. I am so not impressed with the service I have received from Mr Britton & Shayta, I don't even know what to do other than return my equipment & go back to Spectrum. ***BEWARE VERY LONG POST*** I was very surprised by these reviews until I saw there was only 1 review in 2024 and that review is not even true for industry standards let alone this particular store. Therefore, I am detailing my last experience to encourage you to give it a try. The Clearwater staff CONTINUES to be EXTREMELY CUSTOMER FOCUSED! I am NOT a huge fan of Verizon: they are overpriced and corporate customer service is horrible; however, they do offer the best coverage in MY area, AND I found the Clearwater store over a year ago! I live a block away from the Palm Harbor location but I drive to the Clearwater location because the staff's knowledge, customer focus and professionalism. Gary is the manager, he is very knowledgeable, he listens and asks good questions, is confident enough to say 'I don't know, but I will find out!', and from what I witnessed his employees have a mutual respect for one another. I recently went in to trade out my son's phone and after looking at my account, he asked if I was considering upgrading 2 other lines. I told him I did not want my bill to increase and he asked if he could review it. He came back with a scenario that would benefit us upgrading those lines AND adding any additional 5th line, all for the same price we were currently paying. We were all baffled so he brought in another employee, Dorian, to confirm what appeared to be impossible. Dorian agreed and they assured us if there was a problem with the bill they would take care of it. The bill arrived and there WAS a problem as the billing system didn't recognize the trade in credits and promos, and Gary/Dorian contacted corporate CS on my behalf. Unfortunately, and as expected, CS could not figure out how to rectify the problem and I was ready to cancel! Dorian, being customer focused and a man of his word, took the lead. First, he apologized and asked me to give him a couple days to escalate this with the General Manager, Becca, and assured me she is extremely customer focused and would take care of me. Dorian gave me his personal cell and told me he would reach out in a couple days, before my bill cycle. Not only did he follow through, he also "checked" in a couple times to make sure I knew he had not forgotten about me. A couple days later, he called me with Becca, who was well versed in the situation and had already issued the appropriate credits to my account so my auto payment would be accurate. Not only did Becka handle the situation but she explained in detail what happened and how Verizon is working to resolve this issue in the future. She didn't blame shift, she took accountability for the brand, and was empowered to fix the situation, which she did! I told her how wonderful my experience has been over the past year in that store and that her staff is the reason I stay with Verizon. She agreed whole heartedly and praised her employees! This is servant leadership and unprecedented in retail these days. Kudos to Becka, Gary and Dorian for retaining a long time customer once again. Verizon may not be perfect, but it's about the personal interaction and if you can find a store like Clearwater's customer focus, it's worth the other headaches. read more

Her phone is only a week old, in my view it would have been easier and less time consuming just to give her a new phone. Absolutely scammed me with the 5G home internet. I verbally stated I did not want it multiple times with multiple witnesses but he did not take no for an answer. Told me it was risk free and wouldn't charge me. Lo and behold there's an $80 charge on my Verizon account. Not to mention the iPhone watches I wanted, I didn't want the additional charges with the phone lines and they told me there wouldn't be an additional charge. Yet there's MULTIPLE. Maybe when a customer states they don't want something, don't shove it down their throat. UPDATE: Just talked to Verizon corporate. Turns out this store also put $51/month worth of "Verizon Phone protection plans" that I never consented to, they just added it on there. So be careful and watch your "Next Estimated Bill" when shopping with these commission based people. read more

What is the score, Took my name and had me sit down I was told I would be getting $600 to $300 on my phone, I was getting $100, That phone that was in good shape, So typical of Verizon the good old bait and switch. The service rock seemed hurried, I was given me no directions where's my iPhone. I asked for a charger, he said $20 then 27, Then oh I must have met $25. Verizon has-really changed over the years. This location is run poorly. Expect at least an hour wait, and still leave with no service. I tried to buy a simms card and was not permitted to do so. Instead I was referred to call this number and do this with that....Blah Blah Blah. What is the sense of calling it a verizon store when you are not attached to verizon. I love Verizon & especially this location. I've been with a lot of other wireless carriers and never had the same coverage...I believe that you get what you pay for and I'm never without service even in "dead zones" for many of my friends. This location is usually fully staffed with a knowledgeable workforce that is ready to assist as soon as you walk in the door. Even if all of their associates are busy, someone will at least greet you and let you know that it won't be long. My last visit was excellent. We walked in wanting to inquire about their BOGO iPhone special. We were greeted right away, given the details, and bought what we came for - no one forced any ridiculous upsells on us, or made us sign up for a new plan. Simple. Even as I was distracted with all the accessories and goodies around me to purchase (I'm a shopaholic) I didn't throw my representative for a loop. I would ask a question about something, she would answer, and the transaction just kept rolling. I appreciate that she put the new screen protector on for us, she made it look so easy. I also appreciate how every time I've visited this location I left feeling like a valued customer. I went to the Verizon on us19 in palm harbor and I explained to the guy that worked there that my iphn8+ wasn't charging and I explained that I had tried 3 different brand new iPhone chargers and still wouldn't charge. So when I explained this he plugged my cell in and it worked and then he was like well it's charging now so I don't know what to tell you......!!! So of course I get home and plug it in and it won't charge. I had some other issues so I went to the gulf to bay location in Clearwater and that's where I actually bought the phone and as soon as I walk in I was greeted with a very nice gentleman and I explained what was going on and before I could blink he had a new phone ordered for me. Told me he only sells phones and I'd have to call customer care.. the entire time leaning on the sales podium . I was going to buy a phone, accessories etc but just grabbed the phone and left . Well, I guess the current worker shortage in the US has not spared the Verizon brick and mortar store on Gulf-to-Bay in Clearwater, FL from having to hire from the dregs of the local employment pool. Having completely destroyed my iPhone XS, I called Verizon customer service and was told the company owned store in Clearwater had what I was looking for as a replacement in stock. Hopped in the car and headed over and stepped through the doors at 6:05PM. Was promptly greeted by a loud voice from the back of the showroom telling us someone would be with us shortly to schedule us an appointment since this was apparently an "appointment only store." There appeared to be 3 employees working with customers, a mother and daughter waiting next to us, and a single gentleman waiting next to them. Over the next 10 minutes, 2 additional customers walked in to the same greeting, the first with the additional comment of "tonight" and the second with the further clarification to all of us waiting that "we'll get you all appointments tonight." After 10 more minutes, another customer walked in to the same greeting but with the additional comment that their appointment would be for tomorrow. Everyone seemed content. Finally, one of the employees became available and began to walk towards all of us. The voice advised this employee to schedule all appointments for tomorrow. The mother and daughter (who had apparently been waiting the longest) asked if this applied to her since she had already been waiting for some time. The voice confirmed this at which point everyone in the store instantly sought an explanation for why the majority of us were told we would have appointments tonight only to now be told they would be for tomorrow. The voice THEN says that they've had no availability since before we walked in and actually denied saying they would give us appointments for tonight. That didn't go over well with anyone. I know we had been there for 25 minutes already; I can only imaging how long those in front of us had been there. I pointed out the voice's lie and began to walk out. Another customer followed me and advised that I should really call Verizon to let them know what just happened. I turned around to ask the voice for his name. The only thing he would say is "Felix the SM" and then told me to leave. I did. And I got in my car, called Verizon, spoke to a Joel, and had a phone ordered for next day shipping in under 10 minutes. Was actually asked if I wanted to pick up the phone in the store, too. I informed Joel of our experience, hence the next day shipping. Can't believe the negative experience in store. MUCH appreciate the experience on the phone. Hopefully when more people are willing to work, "Felix the SM" can be reassigned to a more appropriate job. read more

This is a real Verizon Corporate store and will know your account best. I got all sorts of bad phones and run-around with the Verizon-authorized stores and will only go to corporate stores from now on. Mr. Nate was VERY COMPETENT AND GOOD with customer care when I visited the store for a Droid Maxx upgrade to my Account. He went out of his way to ensure I had the right phone and that it worked on my account. He realized what a terrible experience I had with Cellular Sales Verizon-authorized store earlier and helped me immensely. I only wish that all Verizon sales representatives are this helpful in person. read more

The physical store is nice. There are long wait times. New phones are rarely available the same day. Prices are really high compared to other carriers. I ft like the staff wasn't focused on keeping me happy as a customer. Personal story: I was month to month and done with my contract for years. I had unlimited data. When I wanted to upgrade my device, i was told I needed a new plan.....downgrade my data to 4gb for more money. That seemed silly. read more

I have had excellent, and very importantly, patient help from RJ at this store. He has helped with both phone purchase and ferreting out the best plan for my husband and me. Sometimes the wait is long, but patience deserves patience. (Plus, they don't have a problem with me bringing in my dog, who is also patient and good natured.) When we finally selected our phone, the Google Pixel XL, which was on "special" $25/24 months they immediately showed us a "deal" table that had $69 bundle for screen protector, powerstation and case, we purchased that as well. Got home, ended up with the wrong price for our phones $32/24 months and full price on each of the items we selected in the bundle pack....this is the second time we were charged something other than what was advertised in the store read more

Had a great experience at this store today. The staff was attentive and courteous and had me and my elderly mother set up on our devices and on our way very quickly. The store was not crowded, but the parking lot was quite busy at lunch time. I love the Verizon service and especially the way the staff took care of a couple old ladies and made us feel like welcome and valued customers. read more

I give the extra star for Angel not being pushy and getting what I asked for when I first came in. I am very upset that I came in to verizon 48 hours after I purchased a phone from them and tried to switch services to them and I was unsatisfied with my phone and was told I had 14 days to return it. Well, I returned the phone before my service was switch over from another company on another phone and was told that was it, and was even charged a restocking fee, which I did not refuse, because Angel made me fully aware. I began to walk away from the the young lady that helped me, and even turned around spoke to another man at the service desk and asked him to reassure me that my service was canceled, and he said to give him a second and did "something" and said yes. BUUUT turns out that they did not return my phone (yesterday), and as of mid morning today my service was disconnected from my old iPhone. I didn't notice because of nifty iMessages working with wifi, but when I tried to make a call, it said that Verizon Services something... and I couldn't even believe it. I called and they first proceeded to try and "fix my account" with the person's phone I was using, even though I repeated asked and told her to LISTEN. Finally, she got the story straight that the store decided not to return my phone or cancel my service, so now I don't have a working phone, or service, and they have my line, but now they can't reverse it, so now I have to set my stuff back up with my other service. My iPhone 5S decided to stop working in between stops on a Florida business trip on March 24 with suddenly no incoming or no outgoing calls and no GPS....talk about marooned on an abandoned island....Eban was patient with my frustration, inspected my phone, went through the usual diagnostic protocols and determined it was hopeless, time for a new phone. The store had an iPhone 6s 128GB in stock, got me connected, helped me transfer all my data (fortunately all backed up on the cloud) and "good to go" in a couple of hours. I had Fios installed at my home. It took 3 techs 5 hours, and my internet wasn't working when they left. I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with them and still no luck. What they did was discounted my 8 port switch, moving everything to my router, thinking it was a switch. So I had 2 routers going at the same time. They didn't know one from the other.
