Just got an email from Verizon that this store pre-ordered an iPhone 11 and billed it to my account without my consent. I spoke to Dylan and he said they are cold calling customers who are eligible for upgrades. We did not authorize this. Will be escalating this with Verizon corporate. Update: spoke with Verizon's Fraud team. They confirmed that this store hacked into my Verizon account with my PIN to fraudulently order an iPhone 11. Signed up with Verizon Feb 2022 as we switched from T-Mobile. We traded in an iPhone 8 and an iPhone 11 for two iPhone 13s. We were to receive trade-in credits for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 11, and our total bill was to be $160/month + taxes per Mobile Generation's promotions available to us at that time. We were also offered an iPad from Mobile Generation, which figures into the billing total along with our two cell phone lines for $160/month plus taxes. The iPhone 11 that we traded in was a lease from T-Mobile and the lease was just ending and $180 was due to T-Mobile to keep the phone at the end of the lease. We paid that $180 to T-Mobile to keep the phone prior to switching to Verizon. The Mobile Generation store also promised a rebate of $180 to us, as they said they would pay off that lease to T-Mobile. We have never received that $180 rebate. My employer, Edward-Elmhurst Health also has a 22% discount with Verizon (attached), which along with our trade-in credits, has never been applied to our monthly bill. Here are the bills we have paid and what we have received in terms of credit from Verizon/Mobile Generation: -February 2022: bill was $315.56- included activation fees - we paid on 3/10/22 -March 2022: bill was $230.32, we paid on 4/10/22 -April 2022: bill was $297.47, we paid on 5/10/22 -May 2022: bill was $202.65, we paid on 6/10/22 -June 2022: bill was $214.33, we paid on 7/10/22 -July 2022: bill was $218.15 -August 2022: bill was $218.15 *** July/August we did not pay timely as we were waiting for a $300 credit to our account as promised by Mobile Generation. The final bill for those two months was $441.30 (including late fees). We paid $1 on 8/29/22 when receiving a potential "shut off" notice from Verizon, then paid $217.15 on 9/2/22 to ensure we didn't get service interrupted (that $1 and $217.15 was for the July bill). September 2022: bill is $185.15- $30 credit given back by Verizon (not Mobile Generation) due to Verizon charging a reconnect fee of $20 for the iPad line and two cell phone lines ($60 total in reconnect fees) after our July/August bill was paid the day they said they'd shut off our service unless payment was made. Otherwise Sept 2022 bill would be $215.15. Sept bill of $185.15 on track to be auto-debited from our checking account on 10/10/22. We did receive a $300 credit which applied to our account on 8/31, however $60 of that was for the reconnect fees so $240 was applied to our account to pay off August's bill of $223.15 ($5 late fee included). From Feb-August 2022, our monthly bill averaged $282.77, which is much more than $160+ taxes as promised. Taking the $300 credit into account, our monthly bill has averaged $232.77 from Feb-August 2022. We have never received the trade-in credits on our monthly bill. We have never received an employer discount of 22% on our monthly bill. We have never received the $180 rebate from the iPhone 11 lease paid to T-Mobile. I am asking that we be paid at minimum $409.39, which is for the $180 rebate, and $32.77 x 7 (March-Sept now) = $229.39 if estimating our bill to be $200 a month (a generous assumption given we were promised a final monthly bill of $160+taxes). I'm not even figuring in the employer discount. We would be happy with $409.39 in order for us to end our relationship with Verizon and go back to T-Mobile, where we never had these issues and the customer service was much better and more customer-focused. Lastly, I'd like this formal complaint against Mobile Generation to be provided to Verizon so they know who they are allowing to represent them as "authorized dealers" of Verizon's products and services. read more

The manager Armando told me that he was going to apply to mi purchase a special for Black Friday of 2022 on 3 I watches plus a free iPad for loyalty. until this moment I've been charged since then full price on everything and the said manager Armando hasn't helped at all I've been calling him and he lied to me about that he already called Verizon customer service about my account and Verizon company said he never reached out to them. I have been a Verizon customer for several years, I upgraded my phone and brought over 3 lines to up account. in total we puchasef 3 phones and turned in 3 phones. this was in December of 2021, I submitted the rebate paperwork and to this day I have not received anything but the run around. I have checked in with the salesperson (manager) that took care of me in December since February of the this year. I go in at least twice a monthand all I get is false promises that they are working on it and it's being escalated to a regional manager. I am always told he will get back to me but never does. I truly believe I have been scammed by Verizon and the management at the Carol Stream store. read more

This was my first time visiting at this particular Verizon store and couldn't have been a better experience. My son needed a new phone, the regular Verizon store I've always gone to in Addison closed, so we went to this location. With covid 19 many locations are closed. I can't say enough about Ivan Kennedy the store manager. He's was fantastic! The level of professionalism, knowledge and probably the best deal ever on an iPhone 11. They had a promo going and Ivan even saved me some money on monthly bill. They (meaning both Ivan and Jason Ackerman) answered all our questions. My son goes to school in Valpo and they even gave him info on a store by his school. Both representatives were excellent and a great representation for Verizon. Do not go to this store!!! So I purchased and phone and a plan last summer. I didn't know that it was not an official verizon store. Buyer beware. Ask - when you go in whether it's a contractor store or an official outlet. It matters. Where do I begin? I was never emailed a receipt for my purchase or one detailing my plan. I was promised promotionals that I had to fight for over the subsequent several months with this store being negligent in processing the information. They lost my trade in phone. But the kicker is Dylan, the store manager, not really forthcoming in explaining fully all the costs and obligations. For example, since I was a new purchaser he told me I could get a deal on accessories. I had three choices. Cool. I picked out a case, a charger and a hotspot device. Of course, none of this was free, but just at a reduced price. I recently called to cancel the hotspot line and found out I was tied into a 2 year contract for the hotspot! Even though I paid for the device and never really needed it in the first place, but it was part of the "promotional." I had hundreds of dollars remaining on this plan so I took the hit and paid the cancellation fee. This place is shady and upsells. I have friends who go to official Verison shops and it is night and day. Stay clear of this shop. read more

I have been waiting for my trade in credit for my i phone11 for over three months. Value at the time according to Jake the so call sales man was $800 Well it turns out Jake stole my phone and never turned it in and then charged my credit card $300 for so called free accessories with my new purchase. When i went into store to get help i was told by the manager JASON that Jake quit and he was steeling every ones phone! But he would take care of it and send me an email, that never happened! This is not a corporate store . I have gotten no where with corporate so stay away from these thieves!!!!! I cant even believe they are still in business. Would give 0 stars if I could... every single thing they've told me so far has been a lie. I went in to upgrade my phone and the person changed my whole plan so that it doubled in price for all 5 lines. He also added a contracted device that I didn't want and cannot return now because it's been too many days. I went back and asked them about my bill and they said that it would go back to normal and to wait until it all went through and my bill was available. Big mistake. I have paid so much for this mistake. Then I was sold insurance when I went back to fix it. I was told every line would be 39 dollars to fix except that was a lie and only 2 of my phone are actually that price. All my other phones are 199 to fix. honestly this is just the tip of the iceberg. I've had more issues with them. They're nice but it's not worth your time and money. DO NOT GO HERE. If I could have given it zero stars I would have. Went in on Black Friday and was told to come back on cyber Monday at which time I would get $300 of a XS with a trade in. Went in on Monday and was told that the agent (who was not there at the time) was mistaken and they would not honor that policy commitment. Called Verizon customer service and they said that the reps from that store should honor what they said. Alas they will not. So disappointing that reps say one thing, their own agents, and they won't honor that commitment. I have 4 lines with them and I am going to sip around for more honest reliable service. read more

I have had an ongoing experience from h*ll dealing with this Verizon. I went there in July looking to upgrade my device and pay my small buyout fee so that I could go on my way. The salesman there sold me on a new unlimited plan that would "save me money" because Verizon was reducing their plans to be more competitive. THAT should have been my first warning!! In September I was hit with a bill for $450, my previous bill was $250/mo. I called and the gentleman told me there had been a mistake and that he would call his manager and take care of it. $450 was automatically withdrawn from my account, so I called again and was told I would be getting a credit. This morning, $650 was auto withdrawn from my account. Who on EARTH would pay $650 a month for a mobile plan these days???? Called again, same answer - there's been a mistake, we'll look into it and issue you a credit. There is no credit coming my way. This is a giant scam!!! Do NOT purchase a mobile plan from Verizon and do NOT trust the salesman in this store. read more
