The Oak Lawn store on 95 st provided excellent customer service. The moment I walked in was greeted by a friendly salesman Ozzie. I needed coin batteries for some Halloween toy novelties. Ozzie not only showed me the correct battery but also installed them in the toys!! At the same time he was programming a car remote! Talk about multi tasking lol! He was so gracious to the customers waiting making small talk laughing just having a nice time. A retail associate at Walmart recommended Batteries Plus for coin batteries. So glad I found this place. Ozzie has made me a permanent customer and he also will program a car remote I will order in November. Please thank Ozzie for me. I needed a new battery for my car since I noticed that my car was not able to start during the cold. I ordered the battery from online which saves you 10%. They offer free pickup and installation of the new battery. The next day, I drove down to BPB and they had my replacement battery ready for installation. I went to Batteries Plus on 4/16/24 on a recommendation from my neighbor who had used them recently to replace her iPhone battery. My iphone 6 wasn't holding a charge for very long as well. My neighbor had the same issue. The technician relaced the battery @$59.00. My neighbor paid $20 less but I was told my iphone was older and it cost more. Who knew? Anyway, I received a 6 month warranty on it. A few months later my phone completely died so I went in that same day to see what the problem was. Guess what? No technician was on site. Luckily I had another Iphone 6 phone with me and the clerk switched the Sim card to that one and it worked. I wanted to get the other phone up and running because that one had the new battery in it and was still under a 6 month warranty. I called another day during the week to make sure the technician was there and he was off that day again! This was on a Wednesday. Wth? So on 08/23/24 I called again to make sure a technician was on site and the manager said he was. I drove all the way out there and when I walked in no one was at the front desk. Another woman came in an then another man and still nobody came out to wait on us. Finally I walked back to the employee door and a clerk came out. Come to find out that the Iphone technician wasn't there. I nearly lost it. I asked to speak to the manager and he said she was on a conference call which would last up to 45 minutes! I didn't believe him. I was so disgusted with their service and lack of concern! This isn't the way to run a business! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! U will be sorely disappointed and ripped off! BTW, my neighbor who recommended them to me had her Iphone after 2 months with their supposed new battery they installed go back to not holding the charge again like when she brought it in to Batteries Plus to replace! read more

I purchased my car battery in December of 2021 from 6227 w 95 ST oak lawn, IL. Car stopped on me multiple times in November of 2022. Took it to my service center and upon testing, battery failed test. The car technician discovered dead cell in battery. Needs battery replaced. Employee at oak lawn location, Sean performed tested initially and said battery needs charging. He had me start y car and it gave out a good read. Informed it was nothing he could do. Battery is under warranty and refused to replace it. Instead told me call corporate and win the battle through them. I have never been more disgusted with a business practices and lack of concern. read more

8-2013 - best customer service and 5-stars 1-2017 - below average customer service and really 2.5 stars. Again, needed a new battery in 2017, ordered it online from them (you save 10%) and then went to the store to have it installed. Was told by the super-lazy store employee that they don't do that for my vehicle. However, in 2013, they did do it and within 10 minutes and with exceptional service. This guy wanted nothing to do with stepping outside or doing anything that would require manual work. It was clear he was having none of it. He reluctantly agreed to change if ONLY if my boyfriend did all the pre-work. Turns out, there was a piece that was stripped from the last installation (by this location), though he said that wouldn't be their fault (which I wasn't blaming them for - I was just pointing out that they did in fact install batteries on my vehicle, since they did it in 2013). In the end, we took the battery I purchased online and my boyfriend will install it at home, since Mr. Lazy employee could not wait to get back inside the store and do nothing. VERY poor service. Just went in and asked about pricing and size for my vehicle remote battery and when I indicated I didn't know the size, I was told I'd have to pay $10 for them to open it to figure it out. I asked if I could just borrow a screwdriver to do it myself, and he said no. Guess I'll go home and open it myself, then buy the battery on Amazon! They'll be out of business in no time with that bozo working there. read more

This place is terrible. I went in for an iPhone 5s battery replacement and they gave me a defective battery-my phone stopped taking a charge altogether. When I went somewhere else, they put in a new battery and it was working fine. I went back to batteries plus and they tried to blame my phone and refused to give me a refund when I wanted to return the battery. So many better places. read more

I like the fact that they have a program where you can purchase a battery and get a new one for life. I have been coming to get my batteries for my watch from them for at least 10 years and to me that is a good deal that you can pay once and keep coming back to get a new one for free when you need one. The only difference now compared to when I first started coming is that the lifetime price has when up 8 dollars but it is still a good deal. read more

I just moved to the area, but had gotten the lifetime replacement for my car key batteries when I lived in central Illinois. The worker called the other store to verify and was able to apply the lifetime policy to my car keys! I really appreciate that he took the extra time to help me out. read more

I called, and it took a long time for someone to answer. Then, I inquired about a battery for a certain laptop, and was asked to hold for a second which turned out to be about 240 seconds. Then he asked what kind of laptop it was again. I said, "I thought you were checking?" He said that he had customers. He should have told me. I'll go somewhere else. read more

Went in to replace my iphone 5 battery. When first replaced the phone worked fine for a week then it turned off on every drop. Went in for the second time, they said they replaced the battery again and should be no issues maybe it was a faulty battery. Phone worked for maybe a month. After a month phone started to shut off and random percentges 20-50% few weeks later, the phone barely stayed on. Took it back explained that this is my 3rd time here, they said your phone is old time for a new one we installed 2 new batteries for you and it still has issues. I went on ebay bought a newer iphone. Recently I bought a battery replacement kit along with a battery it was less than 10 bucks, watched some youtube videos and decided to experiment. When I opened the phone and got to work, one of the screws was missing (no big deal) then when I took the battery out (rayovac) it was puffy. I installed my new battery. Everything works fine for now. I'm giving this place a 1* because I was lied to that I have an old phone and the battery is fine! Poor customer service no one wanted to open the phone again and service it, so let's tell the customer his phone is the fault. The store itself is a normal store. The staff is not very professional at least the 3 times I've been there. I wouldnt recommend having them replace any iphone batteries or using rayovac as the battery supplies. Go to apple and pay extra this isn't worth the hassel and I had to spend money on a newer model iphone. read more
