Efficient (both giving me an estimate and doing the battery replacement), friendly, and reasonably priced!

The staff member who "helped" me (pictured here) was rude, dismissive, and arrogant from the moment I walked in. He acted like answering basic questions about my repair was a burden, rolled his eyes when I asked for details, and clearly had no deep knowledge of hardware repair. Their diagnostics were inconsistent and suspicious. When I dropped off my device, they said there was no water damage. Later, after they failed to fix it, they suddenly claimed there was water damage -- contradicting their own report. This is a common scam tactic to avoid taking responsibility for failed repairs. To make matters worse, they use cheap, non-OEM parts that aren't fully compatible with your device. After their so-called "repair," my MacBook had issues it never had before like poor touch response on the trackpad and keyboard keys being loose. When I pointed this out, the employee blamed me instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. This place fails in every way that matters -- no professionalism, no accountability, no quality parts, and no real expertise. If you value your time, money, and devices, go to a reputable repair shop or an authorized service center. uBreakiFix in Oak Lawn is the last place you should trust.

The morning of 4/5/2025, I called Connect Cell Repair about fixing my 512GB Samsung Galaxy S22…read moreUltra, which was not staying on and doing a reboot loop. I explained this issue to them including the symptoms & publicized fixes. Friday 4/11/25, I was told that they were not able to fix it and was given A phone back with no fee by "Z" in the store after Omar got who was not there physically but on speakerphone on "Z"'s phone explained to me. I noticed that the phone's screen had a few scratches & the back cover was unattached. I asked "Z" to confirm that was my phone & that it was all of my original parts because I'd have to send it elsewhere. He said that it was. I noticed that while attempting to turn it on, the behavior was different & I could no longer view the recovery or download options as before. When asking for an explaination from Omar on "Z'"s speakerphone as to why my phone was functioning lower that when I brought it in...Omar became angry & began to scream at me & speak in a condescending way. I explained to them both that I would not tolerate disrespect & left with what I was told was MY device with it's original parts as confirmed by "Z". I did let "Z" and Omar know that the way that he was speaking to me was not right & that a person with less sense than I might respond in a negative way based on Omar's disrespect & screaming. On 4/17/25, I sent the device to a highly rated & reputable business to be fixed/data recovered. On 5/6/25, I was contacted back with an update that the motherboard for the phone looked to be purposely soldered to short out to prevent it from coming on and that the IMEI number is different that the back cover and that this device is actually a 128gb instead of my 512gb. He sent pics as proof & and explained that this may have happened for theft of my parts, the previous shop may have damaged my original parts beyond repair & swapped in another motherboard that they purposely shorted out to prevent it from coming on in order for me to not know the differece with hopes of me not following up to explore. This was not MY motherboard AT ALL. I attempted to contact Connect Cell Repair & got no answer by phone.

I then had to pay more afterwards because of another "added" issue. Overall, I would not go back here at all. Keep a fixed price or don't give me a price at all.
