Recently, the screen started glitching, going black intermittently, and eventually a white line appeared. The phone has not been dropped or cracked, so it's clear this issue is related to the initial repair. When I contacted the store, I was told the warranty was only valid for 30 days, which completely contradicts what I was originally told. Conveniently, the employee who gave the one-year warranty information no longer works there. I was told to call back to speak with the manager, and when I did, I was basically given the runaround. Eventually, my boyfriend called and spoke with the manager directly, only to be told there was nothing they could do because they "can't be sure" it was their fault. Again, the screen was never cracked or mishandled, so that explanation makes little sense. Now we're left with a malfunctioning phone and an unexpected $200-plus repair bill for something that should have been covered. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend this store.

Lo and behold I drive up and see a sign "we fix cellphones." I thought "no way!" I strolled on in. Chris had a smile on his face and said "Hello how can I help you?" I told him the situation. He let me know he was about to close up, but he knew the phone model really well. He thought he could fix it in a half an hour. I gave him my number and told him I was having dinner at Chinese Kitchen. I kept looking at my phone so I wouldn't miss his call. A half hour went by - nothing. Then I look up and there he is standing at the counter. "Sorry, but I tried calling and your phone went to vm." WOW - really?! Instead of just leaving because he couldn't get in touch with me- he came up to let me know it was done. WOW! I don't mean to make such a big deal about that, but it seems in this day and age most people aren't willing to go above and beyond. Well, Chris did! Awesome customer service and very knowledgeable. I plan on bringing my Apple Watch to get my battery replaced as soon as I get back out that way.

Someone walked out of that store with a brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max. I was eventually able to rectify the situation, but not until the next day because Verizon has regular business hours for their Customer Service, so if you have a problem with theft and fraud you cannot address it until the next business day. Three days later, an attempt was made to transfer that phone number AGAIN, from this same store! By this time I had a number lock on the phone, but she again got the request text for making the switch. I doubt this is the only instance of this happening at this store, but there is no way to directly contact the store. You get routed to Verizon Customer Service Call Center who cannot contact the store either. The ease of which people can access, switch and steal service with Verizon is astounding to me, especially at this store. I encourage everyone to put a number lock on your account so no action can take place without the primary account holder's notification.

Once I did that, I was informed I could trade in the phone, get the lastest and greatest model and that our monthly bill would actually decrease since we'd no longer be paying the full installment. I asked multiple times to confirm: "So that's it--no catches? I just pay the $300-something today, get the new phone, and our bill goes down?" The manager assured me that was correct. I paid the amount and signed the receipt thinking everything was done. Then, I was told I still owed another $180+ in taxes. The manager claimed he had mentioned "plus taxes," but at no point was it made clear that there would be an additional $180 charge after the $300+ I had just paid, he rationed this by saying he doesn't see this until after, but if I was doing the sale I could have found 50 different ways to ensure what to expect. I felt blindsided. While I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he said plus taxes, it certainly wasn't clear there was still another significant charge pending. When I expressed that I felt this was misleading, he disagreed. I told him I wasn't looking to argue but wanted to cancel the entire transaction and get a refund, as it felt like a bait-and-switch. He said everything was final and there was nothing he could do. It's not about the money--it's the principle. The process felt like a car sale of financially committing and paying for things thinking your are done before revealing the full cost which was not clear, which is not how I like to do business. In the future, I'll just make my purchases online where things are laid out more clearly.
