I'm going out of my way this moment to write this review after just receiving an email update from Micro Center about an order I placed last night on 12/15/25 for an i5-14600K. Well... a problem arose with the order, and I don't want to say how Micro Center compensated me with their error, and put them in a position to do this for everyone... so I will just extend Micro Center an immense amount of sincere gratitude, and recommend everyone go out of their way to become a regular customer at Micro Center in Westmont, IL, instead of buying computer parts online... because believe me... being a long standing customer at this store will certainly pay off one day. Plus... all of us computer enthusiasts need to keep the last remaining true computer retail store in business...

    Needed ethernet cables and a few splitters for a camera system. I walk in here, and they only had…read morecertain lengths of cable, none of which would fit my needs. So I start looking around for someone to help me. 5 min passed and not one employee was available to help. Not one. So I decided I'll go find the splitters in the meantime, found one that I needed but other one was evading me. This time I go around the store looking for someone to help me out. Finally gave up and asked an employee to help me out after they finished with their current customer. The kid wasnt even looking in my direction just nodded his head. I had every single item i needed in my Amazon cart, but I still chose to drive here to give them my business. A few minutes of waiting, I just put back whatever I picked up and left. Ordered it on Amazon instead right there in the store. Employees here don't want to help, you can walk miles in that store before anyone will even bat an eye. I don't recommend this place at all. Far from what it used to be.

Our file was transferred to the Bolingbrook, Illinois location. We had a lounge seat and couch in disrepair. Month after month we received unfulfilled promise after the other. Fast forward 10 on time full payments I encountered the "STORE MANAGER" roosevelt or something like that. I have some financial issues and was 15 days past due, 1st time ever. Yet I spoken with Matt to let him know i be late. Yet this store manager dude harrassed me every day even at work. Although, I was late for the first time you would've thought he would've extended a courtesy. NOPE! Memorial day pushed all deposits til the next day.i explained that to this wanker at 6pm on the 30th. At 8:30 am on the 31st 2 hours before the store opened, hes calling me again. Then he tell me "well if you told us you was having issues, we could've pushed your payment back so you would be charged a $5.00 late charge" Are you kidding me, I thought! You would think being a manager you would let me know. He said- you didnt ask! Dude clearly need some training in customer care and service. PLEASE AARONS PROMOTE THE PPL WHO MADE MY VISIT WELCOMING.
