I was unlucky enough to be stuck with an incredibly rude, unprofessional, and incompetent staff member twice at this location. He refused to help me deal with a difficult situation and told me he was done talking to me, because he didn't know what to do. Rather than simply say "I don't know, let me find out", he acted like there was something wrong with me. It was so terrible and infuriating. I went to this store for a new phone. I was told the only extra charge would be $10 a month for the upgrade. They said the name of the plans changed so they had to switch my plan but everything would be the same. It isn't. I lost access to Hulu and Disney unless I pay $10 a month more and they signed me up for a $19 a month protection plan without my consent. The protection plan has since been canceled and refunded but I'm still paying a lot of money for a plan that is worse than it was before despite salesman's assurances all would be the same. read more

I've been a Verizon home internet customer for over 10 years. Today they raised my plan price $5.00. I'm already paying $70 for 500MPS, and I bought their Gigabyte modem for $700 three years ago. Also, their website cites inaccurate prices which are lower than their real prices. I've decided to try T-Mobile Home Internet. They are giving me a 2-week trial. $55 monthly for 415 MPS. Verizon has been slowly going down hill for their TV service, their cellphone service is top notch but wicked expensive!!

Currently paying for gigabit speeds, but can barely open zoom calls for meetings. 65 a month just for non functional internet is a joke, do NOT buy. Even with ethernet I still have seconds of delay and when I get off of a frustrating shift at home, I am often 3-4 seconds behind in any videogame I play, basically making it impossible to play. Customer service is also a joke, I get on hold for a while and then get told to restart my router and have a nice day. (which does not work, if you couldn't tell.) I even went through the trouble of getting a new router, and absolutely nothing has changed. I have tried everything to try and make it work, but Verizon is simply just a scam. read more

Terrible customer service, not helpful at all. Trying to add a new line to my account and the Verizon portal does not allow me to add an authorized user from my given access at the moment (Have to wait 5 days). My friend and I figured Verizon wireless rep could help us since I have gotten the help previously at different Verizon stores. The customer service rep was incapable of providing a solution other than waiting until an authorized user is available in the portal, and decided to work the bare minimum to help us out. After getting locked out of my phone, and not being able to remember anything, I took my old phone and went to this Verizon, and assumed the worst. I lucked out! Mills saved the day. He was super friendly(all of the staff was) and was so helpful. I felt so bad, for taking up so much of his time, but super grateful he was able to get me back online. I ended up being the last customer in the store, and never felt rushed. The made shore everything was taken care of, and felt confident that my phone was back in working order when I left. I switched my mobile phone service to xfinity due to bad coverage and high costs at Verizon. Shortly after switching, I began getting notices from several other businesses that I did use telling me that I was not going to get text notifications anymore because my phone number was 'out of service'. Verizon went out of their way to tell people I stopped using their service - not that I brought that number to another service. He literally put no effort into helping me with my verizon account and was very rude when I asked him for further instruction. I had the unfortunate luck of buying a stolen phone from ebay. I essentially wasted a few hundred bucks on a brick. I hope those thieves die a slow and painful death. I went into Verizon and they offered me new options. Within half an hour, I walked out the proud owner of a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S7! I'm a bit sad that the free upgrade of the past is gone, but $24/month is not bad at all. Definitely softens the blow of the cost, to divide it over so many months. "I don't know. I just work here." That seems to be the ethos at this store. I went in to get a prepaid sim card for a 4G device. The woman didn't really show much expertise in dealing with a phone that is not super current nor a big brand. She fumbled through Android to find the IMEI number. Then she said it wouldn't work for a not very convincing reason. She went into the back to do something and came back with a card. She charged me for it (naturally). Then lo and behold it got signal. We tried to make a call. It lost signal. She assured me it just wasn't compatible with the network. I tried to find out what wasn't compatible but it didn't seem like she really knew. I asked if she expected me to pay for this sim card that she's claiming isn't going to work. Of course, she said. An hour or so later I turned the device on and it connected perfectly. I'd expect someone who works in a cell phone store to understand about this stuff. I can't imagine coming back here. read more

My costs started to rise exponentially and after 22 years of service, when FIOS was introduced in my area, it seemed like a good deal but was not bc they didn't have the Tower in place, and it wasn't any faster than DSL. . After 1 year I left Verizon for another, more affordable, Provider. I signed up with RCN and once in place, I canceled Verizon. Only to find that Verizon refused to terminate billing. I was paying both RCN and Verizon for 3 months. I refused to pay Vetizon for 2 of the 3 months and they put me in default and turned on over to a Collection Agency with whom I begrudgingly made a deal. After Verizon received payment, they Reported me as a "serious delinquency" to Equifax and 2 others. My AAA Credit & 825 Credit Score, built & maintained over 2 decades, dropped 200 points. Verizon had been advised that I would be canceling services but they refused to stop billing me. I was NOT under Contract and they weren't providing service for 3 months. After over 20 calls & discussions with Verizon between Jan.-March, 2020, I'd assumed CS had resolved this absurd issue. Wrong: Neither my Credit Rating nor my Score Bounced Back. I took an L because of their inefficiency and greed. I will never trust Verizon again. After that, they used my backyard to hook up a neighbor's FIOS Services. The Tech pulled FIOS Cable from a neighbor's basement window, through my backyard, wrapped the cable around my downspout, around my Gas-Meter, my HVAC Condensor pipes and power wire, then stapled the cable to my Vinyl-Sided Wall. The Tech also broke off pieces of Latticework on my deck stairs to fish cable underneath my deck to reach a side street. In so doing, the Metal Flap to my Dryer's Exhaust Pipe was pulled off. The very visible, thick, black cable is stapled to my property. It's messy and ugly. Ten calls to Verizon went unheeded: "You're not a Verizon Customer, sorry, we can't help you". Bc I'm not a customer, Verizon refused to remedy an inexcusably unprofessional FIOS Installation --to provide Services to a neighbor. Verizon disrupted my property, tampered with fragile equipment, leaving behind a crushed Downspout Extention, an ugly mess on my back wall, missing pieces of Latticework to my back stairs. The only way to remedy this untenable situation is to cut the FIOS cable, pull it from under my deck and toss it back to the neighbor's basement window. Then, I'll need to hire 3 professionals for replacing Latticework, a Dryer Exhaust Vent Flap deep under my deck, and install a new Downspout Extension. read more

My son lost his phone so I went into the Washington Street location to buy him a new one. I've always gotten consistently great service at this location as well as others. I have 6 lines so I'm usually in there at least once or twice a year. It's incredibly obvious that Wilki hates his job and would rather be anywhere else. I told him I wanted to replace a lost phone so he asked me which phone I was looking to purchase. When I told him I didn't know he told me to ask my son before buying so that I wouldn't face a $50 restocking fee. I said that my son would be happy with whatever I purchased and asked what they had. He pointed to the wall and ran down the list of iPhones which really wasn't helpful. He made no move to get off of his chair and I guess expected me to go and read the small print under each device to figure it out on my own. I told him that I pay a lot of money to Verizon every month and he told me that he wasn't going to help me and that it was my problem because I wasn't "accepting his help". Though I won't be cancelling my Verizon account because of this one terrible employee, I won't be going back to that store. Nothing against the stores themselves but their home service is awful. first of all as a cell phone company they've not been great in my 10 years as a customer. My bff has good service from them at home and comcast is horrible so I went for verizon for home net & TV. In short, I got to Verizon and as I was waiting to be helped I watched a sales associate (later determined to be Scott) helping a young woman and borderline yelling at her because she did not understand her bill. She even asked him to please stop criticizing her. Finally two other sales associates stepped in and seemed to kindly resolve her issue. Lucky me, I got Scott next. He was nice enough, especially when I said I wanted to buy a phone right then. But as we proceeded with the transaction he became increasingly snappy. I told him I wouldn't be able to pay upfront for the phone I would be making payments, he got very defensive stating that he is just looking out for my best interest making sure I get the cheapest deal....ok that's fine. Then there was a major miscommunication regarding my bill, the reps who I spoke to when I called told me one thing, Scott told me he couldn't honor the promotion that I had been told I would receive. Scott told me he didn't even know what I was talking about, that maybe I was mistaken. Since I had been told about the promotion the week before but did not make it into the store until yesterday, Scott said, and I quote, "well, it's your own fault for not purchasing the phone that day." As much as I love children, I didn't have the patience to deal with Scott's attitude, I ended up completing the transaction (successfully, promotion and all) with a kind rep over the phone. If not for that woman who I spoke to on the phone I would have cancelled Verizon right then based upon Scott's behavior alone. read more

I have been a long time customer of landline & internet services. I have been a happy loyal good paying customer for years! Until the their GREED took over! They need more affordable package options! Every year they raise their prices by $5.00 to $10.00! The services never gets better! But the price always goes up! Their becoming as greedy as Comcast! And that is pretty sad! I'm paying for a landline that I can't even use! Because the damn nonstop teller marketers are ringing my phone off the hook nonstop! Every single day! So, I had lost my iPhone... *lights candles, sits in bath tub, turns on mood music with a plugged in hair dryer lingering dangerously close to the water's edge* ...and I found myself in search of alternative options (iPhones are wicked expensive to replace when you're not due for an upgrade). I walked into this Verizon looking to check out the Blackberry Storm. This was my second time in a Verizon Wireless store and I was happy to see I was all alone and there were no lines like the previous visit. Perfect. I made my way over to the Blackberry Storm section and started playing away. As a side note, what a disgusting phone. It's like a PC for your pocket. But anyway, after an awkward time of me walking around like a lost puppy and making eyes toward the sales staff I decided that clearly these fellas were more interested in talking about their drunken binges than making a sale with me. So I took a dump on the floor and left. Okay, JK on the dump but I probably could have and they wouldn't have noticed. Yeesh, less than a week after switching from AT&T to Verizon I am already beginning to regret it. The actual cell service is great, but the customer service experience has been a disjointed nightmare with one department telling me one thing and another one telling me another thing. I was told I could go into a store and finish the switch from AT&T to Verizon. When I got to the store, there were multiple reps standing around talking, The one that offered to help was initially standoffish when I told her what I was told and what I was trying to do. I felt that I had to push the issue for them to actually do their job. Finally she took my phone trade ins, but then when I told her I was advised that I needed to give them my bill they told me they couldn't do this in store (this was after I was told over the phone yesterday that I could). Not a problem, I just wanted to know what I had to do, so I asked them to call customer service and they didn't seem particularly thrilled about this, but I'm trying to ensure accountability as my experience has been sub-par so far. Ultimately, the rep on the phone was able to give me some more information, but this is after 30 mins at the store. This whole process should be quick and easy and the customer should not be doing the brunt of the work. I ended up leaving the store, contacted Verizon via chat and confirmed how everything had to go down. I'm still skeptical and unsure about this process and I'm about 95% positive that I will get screwed over by this experience. I will probably be changing my service once another decent option comes through as I'm already irked and bothered with Verizon. They just aren't worth my money, or time and they obviously treat their customers in a similar fashion. I updated my review to add one star and that one star is Michelle. Can you imagine? "Bobby, what do you want to be when you grow up?" "I want to be a consumer wireless service agent!" Right. So, basically the assumption with these places is that you will receive sub-standard service with a side of surly attitude. When that's actually the norm, why bother to expound upon it when it (unsurprisingly) does happen? It's when it DOESN'T that it deserves attention...at least at retail establishments anyway. I actually had a decent experience myself. My iPhone 4 had decided to take a little jaunt down the front steps of my building and land in the parking lot. The screen wasn't looking so hot, but I figured it wasn't that bad; just one crack. Oh, iPhone wasn't done yet. It leapt off my bedside table turning that one crack into a veritable spiderweb. What a b1tch. Thankfully I was due for an upgrade on March 21st and after a little bit of internet research, I decided to just upgrade to the iPhone 4S. The discount was steep and they gave me a $70 trade-in on my jacked up phone so I ended up paying only $100 bucks. Not happy that we have to pay tax on the full retail price instead of the upgrade price, but that's not Verizon's fault. I can't remember my sales person's name, but he was super nice and helpful. I am very unhappy with Verizon reason being, from the starter unlimited to the new 5G Get More, I must say I wanted to get the best, I was very wrong, after I tried to switch on to Maximum video streaming quality to get there low budget 720p streaming which is ridiculous, it should be 1080p like the other providers. I called Verizon like 4 to 6 time, spending hours with there representatives they could not give me a straight answer, they just wrote a ticket for it, on countless tries, I call on Wednesday night 1/12/22, and spoke to a gentleman call Tim. I was taken aback that he was not aware of that for me to get the maximum video streaming quality I would have to pay 10 dollars extra, it does not come with the plans again I was so angry a 90 dollar plan to pay 10 dollars more to see there Disney package in high definition streaming is terrible, nickel and diming I say to customer out there who love High definition streaming to check other providers first, there high end plan have 4k, and 1080p included. MIND YOU THAT DOES INCLUDE TAX! Please people can say go to another provider, and Verizon can say that, but it's poor customer service. One thing I have to say Tim there representative was very nice and helpful. I hope with this review, Verizon and I can come to are resolution, and become a happy customer again with them. wow. I cannot believe the impeccable service I just received from Verizon at their new downtown crossing store. Yeah- good service from a cell phone provider- it is true! I've been a Verizon customer for quite some time, and every now and then you run into excellent sales people amongst a sea of unhelpful people- but this experience has now made me a fan of Verizon! A few key reasons why my entire experience rocked: 1. My contract was up- and Verizon emailed me about two months ago letting me know the status of my account with helpful information. I didn't have a clue I was eligible early- so this was a fun notification! 2. I was immediately greeted and assisted by a knowledgeable sales person in their nice, bright new store! 3. My sales guy knew an incredible amount of information and was very helpful with letting me know what the process was for upgrading 4. I had my new blackberry up with email and settings/ contacts within 15 minutes of walking in. That includes picking out a new phone. I'm home and playing with my new blackberry within 30 minutes of walking into the store- AMAZING! Best part is, the new customer service program even checks on you in a few days.... fantastic. If you haven't been to a Verizon lately- you may be pleasantly surprised! That or I caught them on a great day-- lucky me! read more

One star because honestly, you can find better in a lot of other Verizon stores. I know I have. I've been in this store on lots of occasions; I work downtown and I have a Verizon phone plan, so this should be the most convenient option. Disappointingly not the case. It seems like no matter when I go in or how many people are working, I always have to seek out a store rep to get any kind of attention paid me (and my paying money). Last night was "the last straw" (not that dramatic, because, come on, it's just a phone store); I went in and hovered for about five minutes before the concierge noticed me and asked if she could help me. I said "Yeah, I'm looking to buy a phone," to which she responded, "OK, let me know if you have questions." Not "Let me get you a store rep who gets bonuses off commission"? Seriously? Then I hovered around the expensive phones I was looking to buy for thirty minutes and waited for someone to come help me. Ten minutes into those thirty minutes, I added my name to the customer wait list. Spoiler alert: there was no else on the list, but magically my name was never called. Fed up and determined to get a smartphone, I slumped out while my boyfriend giggled about re-enacting the shopping scene from Pretty Woman. As someone who detests Verizon, I had a very good experience at this store. My phone was displaying a SIM-related error message. After checking in I was immediately helped by a woman named Meghan. Meghan was patient, kind, and had a big smile on her face. The customer behind me spoke only Spanish and the Verizon store had someone on hand who spoke the language which I thought was great. I *hate* Verizon, and after half a decade decided to give them another shot after they came out with a better deal than AT&T for data. Osborne (I think that was his name, if I'm wrong, I'm sorry!!) stayed with me for THREE HOURS while we got me a new phone, brought over two tablets, and moved a TON of information from my iPhone to my new Android device. Well, we tried to bring over two tablets. Turns out my AT&T iPad Air which was bought from Apple is "locked to GSM"-I don't quite buy this, and will be finding a work around. I asked a zillion questions and Osborne was all to happy to answer, even if he had to ask someone else. I'm a little hesitant after my bad breakup with Verizon in 2010, but we'll see if second chances are really worth it. Their sales people seem to work very hard. The few bad things: The store has two people who greet you when you enter, which is great. Without that, I would have had no idea of what to do-there isn't a sign to check in, or anything. The other bad thing is that the accessories (cases, wireless charging pads, etc.) are just as overpriced as I remember them ever being from a Verizon store. 20%+ from what competitors are charging, like Amazon. Go there having ordered your accessories from somewhere else. The other thing I didn't appreciate is how the manager had a serious attitude when he tried to explain how the iPad is locked. Dude, I build computers. I teach people about their phones. You don't need to talk to me like I'm five. read more

Verizon boasts about having the best coverage... well then the "best" is terrible. What kind of wireless company fails to make sure they have a strong signal along commuter routes? Especially trains routes? I cant even have a conversation for more than 10 minutes without the call dropping no matter which method of transport I use. I have been attempting for over a week to get Verizon to get rid of deafening static on my landline. Their auto system at 1 800 Verizon only occasionally understands my exotic Ohio accent, and the online chat cannot understand my problem. They did manage to get a tech out here on day 4, but he told me they needed cable guys to go underground to fix the problem. If they ever came they did not fix it. I spent an hour and a half this morning trying to get someone at Verizon to take responsibility for doing something. At this point the only reason I am keeping the service is that it includes a DSL line that is still working and no one can beat the price. These guys are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable--they were even trying to get me that new SIM card while multi-taking with another customer just to facilitate the process. Then they passed me off to Tyshawn (I thought "uh-oh") and I was so wrong. It was amazing--fast, helpful, they tried all the workarounds to get everything in proper order. These guys must be the Boston flagship because clearly their very best people work here. Everyone was wonderful and Tyshawn was memorably helpful. What happened to my Verizon smart points. I have been a customer for ten years and accumulated hundreds of points for paying my bill on time. I was informed today that the smart rewards were discontinued as of October of last year I must have missed the email that told me that. Verizon is by far the most irresponsible wireless carrier.
