My phone died so I had to order a new one. Luckily(?) one of the only stores that had a phone in stock was the Verizon Auth Retailer about 2 mins away from my house. Great! Ordered curbside pick up and off we go! Got the notice that order was ready so I headed up that way as soon as they opened at 10am. Curbside pickup so I was directed to park in the designated zone. Got to the store - NO designated zone. Tried to call for curbside but the store wasn't doing it at that time (so why have the choice?). Got inside and I saw why. Only one person working. 4 people in front of me... all with issues, questions, etc. I ended up waiting 1 hour just to pick up a phone. I did feel bad for Ryan, the tech working. He said someone had called in sick. Ryan, however, kept a smile and juggled people very well. Just wondering why someone wasn't called in to help? I did get a call from Verizon as I did an online survey.. they didn't like the number of "stars" I gave them. They of course, blamed it on COVID and said store was limited employees. I understand... I was patient while I waited my turn. Again, just not understanding why help wasn't called in. Store was clean, but dated. Fairly well stocked with accessories. Note on that: a couple days after I picked up my phone they moved across the streed to a newer facility. I'll definitely stick with the actual Verizon stores in the future. read more

After traveling out of state and having my phone completely die, I stopped at the Chili Wireless Zone on the way home to either fix it or purchase a new one since I needed it for my business. The CSR and Repair Person, Joe, was phenomenal. While working the store, by himself, he was able to simultaneously fix another customer's phone and work on my own. Unfortunately, my phone was unrepairable. He proactively gave me the contact information for my insurance and suggested that I might want to relook at my plan since I was paying so much. Since, I couldn't go another day without my phone, he then went through all the benefits and drawbacks of the different phones and helped me decide on a new one. All while, servicing other customers as they came in. In the end, Joe had my new phone set up, connected with the backup for my contacts, set up my Office 365 email and showed me specific features of the new device. In addition, he was able to increase my total plan's data and save me money on my monthly bill. Thank you Joe for staying late and finishing my transaction so that my business continued to run seamlessly! Go to a verizon store not wireless zone.Walked into this store. I bought a new phone. Javon j was the sales person he seemed pretty knowledgeable (seemed). I asked if the promotion for $200 was still valid. He said yes you will not get the $200 gift card but it will be a bill credit to your Verizon account. So I bought $800 phone. The work I do requires good internet service so. He grabbed a hum plus and told me I would have a wifi hotspot in my car and the device is free ( but I was charged $54 unknowingly).After he came to my car to show me where I need to plug it in. He plugged it in. I asked him how can I see if I am connected and he said I need to set it up online. I go back a week later not even realizing the device does not have the hotspot option. And I ask him about the $200 bill credit. He said you will see the bill credit in one to two billing cycles. I asked do you have any information showing me what your saying is true he said no you will see it online. I went back home and found out online the hum plus does not have wifi option... it is the hum x that has the wifi option Javon is the one who grabbed it off the shelf and told me about it. So the next day I went in. (David k) manager said I would need to pay restocking fee.He refunded me $54 and he did not make me pay restocking fee. $200 bill credit was discussed he told me to go home give him a call about it because he was busy. I called him up I spent 27 mins on the phone just for him to find out the $200 offer was expired 4 days before I even purchased the phone. He transferred me to Javon the sales associate. He 1st denied that he told me that then I said I just asked you the other day and you said 1 to two billing cycles I would get it. Then he apologized and said I'm sorry I will take full responsibility for this. I said what does that mean? I said you should pay me $200 for your mistake because that's what it cost me. He said I'm sorry that's not how this works. This incident happened 1 year ago from today and I got screwed bc this guys mistakes. So dont believe the reply comment from the area manager or wireless zone manager underneath this negative comment. They need to reply so they still look good but nothing was taken care of except the hum refund. I will attach a screenshot showing my time on the phone with wireless zone so people will not think i am exaggerating or bsing about this incident. Go to a Verizon store not here.
