We went to the Verizon store to exchange a router. An experience that we thought would take minutes. Just note that this review rating is exclusively for the business and NOT the employee who helped us! This exchange in router took one hour and 30 minutes. Chris was the employee that helped us and he was great. He was well informed, great personality and tried his best to help us out quickly. Unfortunately, the system he was using had 404 errors, would randomly close his session and a list of other software problems. He told us that multiple orders were on our account and he had difficulty having one order on the account instead of multiple. In hindsight, we should've left the store at about the half hour mark because it was a massive waste of time probably due to some incompetence at the corporate level. We've called customer service and experience more pain that I'll spare you the details on. The queue started building up in the store and this experience became increasingly more frustrating. Fortunately, Chris was able to exchange our router and we left the store. The selection and value of the internet products seems comparable to other companies, but the long wait and incompetence of the company as a whole doesn't make it appealing to be a customer. The store itself is a massive space with many phones and several employees available to help customers. We are considering going to Cox or another company after the experience we've had with Verizon. -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT read more

Husband who has had a prior stroke (impaired decision making/ memory issue) went for help on a fairly new phone while I was at work. Battery was not holding 100% charge phone the phone just needed a new battery!! I'm still paying on that phone!! Husband was told his phone was garbage and on way out and he was forced to purchase a new phone. His decision making capacity is impaired due to The stroke. The account and both phones are under my account/name. I did not authorize him to make any changes to MY account, it is in my name only. He was told if he paid 100% for the new phone there would be no additional charges and that the phone monthly bill absolutely would not change or increase. He was LIED to. He paid $$$$$$$ for the phone which already has issues (texts don't go through) and I received a $220 bill as well as a $35 monthly upgrade and forever monthly fee on MY account that I NEVER agreed to or authorized!! Stay far away from Verizon they are money grubbing scumbags that boink over their customers (14 years and once contract is done I AM GONE!!!!!) angry is not the word here. Avoid Verizon!!!!!! Disgusting that you lied to a person who has had a stroke, totally despicable read more

I am adding to my original review because the saga has not ended. I recently changed my server from Cox to Verizon because I was being overcharged. Biggest mistake I ever made. Verizon is the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my very long life. I have been on the phone with them now ten times and still cannot resolve all my issues. Latest problem: the technician walked off with the previous Cox modem I had and I am being charged by Cox for it. Also I was never told that the phone number which I had had for fifty years would automatically change. Not only was it canceled, but I was never told the new number. To change it back, I had to pay and was without any service for four days. Anne S. read more

Great costumer service from Chris, who helped me with a cell phone issue that he had never come across, but he was attentive, patient, and was able to resolve it, Thanks Chris. read more

These guys are simply dishonest. Just order services and look at the deals online, it's a way better experience and you get to see all of the charges. Sales guy told us we were getting two free Apple watches (which we didn't really need or want), and it was simply a lie. The details are SUPER CONFUSING and this is used against you. Extra lines, new devices, discount this or that, free this or that, what a nightmare. Just buy yourself a phone from Apple if you can and then activate it with the simplest service plan you need. Don't buy any chargers for Apple products. Verizon store charges $29.99. Apple charges $19.99 for an original Apple product. apple.com 20W USB-C Power Adapter $19.00 Don't buy phone cases or other accessories, they cost $8 on amazon.com They were trying to sell me new iPhone power adaptors, I asked the guys in the room what Apple was charging and one guy said, "I think it's 49.99". I couldn't look it up on my phone because it had been erased to exchange. Bold faced lie, wtf is going on here. Frankly, suggest switching to Tmobile these days, they're offering a $800 device payoff jailbreak from Verizon. Check it out. read more

I should have trusted my gut instinct the moment I went into this place. For such a simple looking place, each desk was a mess and trash overflowing at employees desk. I have the Verizon Phone Protection plan and cracked my screen. I brought it there to get it fixed and was basically told that is not how the plan works. After pressing further, the employee made a phone call in front of me and then told me to get my screen fixed, I would need to ship it and would take about two weeks to get it back. It was a Samsung 21 - I can't imagine Verizon is out of parts for that phone. Ok...maybe I need a new phone anyway. I was offered the new Samsung, however, they were all of a sudden out of stock and offered me a Pixel Pro 7. I'm not really concerned about models of phones - I use them for basic functions as in calling and texting, so sure. I'm confident they were trying to deplete older stocked phones as there was a newer version the Pixel. As I'm questioning the person about the options, another salesperson chimes in and says, "You can just buy the phone and cancel your account." I wasn't offered a trade-in for the phone that could have been fixed. I was told that my bill would be less than it currently was, however, it increased by about $20. The entire experience just seemed...odd, for lack of a better term. I was the only person in the store and after I signed off on the paperwork while my new phone was being updated, there was literally no conversation. I work in customer service and would never give that type of service. I've read the Google reviews and they are stellar...I don't believe the reviews. I should have trusted my intuition when I walked in. read more

Terrible terrible experience here. My family have been Verizon customers for the past 17 years. I had the iPhone X for 6 years and was very proud of myself for waiting to get a new phone for this amount of time. I worked with someone named Ahmed and the experience was nowhere near what I expected. My dad had removed me from the family plan 6 months ago, at which time Verizon customer service had told me I could still qualify for an upgrade. Ahmed refused to give me any sort of upgrade and talked negatively about Verizon Customer service as a whole (said they had lied to me 6 months earlier). There were no iPhone 14's in stock, so I had to pick up the phone the next day. While I came in and was waiting, I overheard Ahmed telling another male customer that he could get a discount on his plan for being a Fios customer, so being a loyal Fios customer myself, I asked Ahmed about this after the man left. His response was "why didn't you tell me that? The other guy came right in and told me he's a Fios customer." I was in disbelief that this man thought it was acceptable to gaslight me, instead of taking accountability for his actions. As a young professional who works in the mental health field, I don't have a lot of money and my bill has now gone up from $75 to $130/ per month for the next 3 years. RUN. Go to another store or another company just please save yourself. read more

Spoke to a salesman name Ahmed, not only was this man a Liar and a waste of my time...he made a commission sale for selling me nothing... he lied and told me that I was supposed to make a new Fios account and cancel my old Fios account because I can't transfer my home Wi-Fi to a new address. When I spoke to Verizon over the phone they told me that was a lie I just had to request to move my Fios over. They had no record of a new account or even a account. I had to make a whole new other account which was not factual and waste my Thursday morning waiting for a technician who never even was scheduled to come to my place to put a home Wi-Fi FiOS in. Very scamming and horrible place. I recommend Smithfield. read more

My experience is similar to all of the other negative reviews. They "gave" me a "free" apple watch, which I didn't want. When I tried to cancel the monthly payment, they said I would have to pay for the free watch and it would be cheaper just to keep it and pay monthly. My husband and I both bought a iphone phone from them. I have had problems with Verizon overcharging me, but they said there was nothing they could do and to call the 800 number. When I did that, I got someone who didn't speak English who couldn't help me. Still trying to figure out how to get my money back. They said to go to the bank! I had no idea it wasn't a real Verizon store. If I had known, I wouldn't have used them. The sales people are really rude and condescending, and just not willing to help. Also found Ahmed incredibly rude; Vinny is also very rude and dismissive. After you make the purchase, they lose all interest in being helpful. I would love to get out of my contract, but I don't know how. They do lie. I feel stuck and would like to encourage anyone else to go to TMobile or Att&T. Donna M. read more

Do NOT walk through this door! I recently returned an unneeded Verizon networking device here and they never credited my account. Now I'm paying for something that I gave away. AVOID. read more

FIRST, NOT AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE. Licensed store that only makes money by tacking charged onto your bill. Second, It was a little while ago but *salesy* didn't even begin to describe the staff. The guy I talked to was a dead ringer for Ben Affleck's character from Mall Rats. Third, their sloppiness kicked off possibly the worst customer service experience I've ever had. They told me I needed the cable modem for FiOS even though I told them I had Ethernet coming from the box on my house. They assured me in the most patronizing possible tone that I needed it so I took it-- I was pretty confident because I've worked in tech for a few decades but they might know something I don't, right? Not going to be arrogant about it myself and shoot myself in the foot. Got home, and sure enough, I didn't need it. It costs money to rent it so I took it right back that day and I told Mall Rats guy the service worked great without it and he said "yeah whatever fine just put it in that bin over there." I was surprised to find out that my Internet access stopped working when I got home and I had a "final bill" in my email... because instead of taking that device off my account, they CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT THAT WAS ACTIVATED THAT DAY. It took me-- timed, no hyperbole -- 10 days with 22 hours of waiting for chat, waiting on hold, and talking to people to get my account restored and get the 1 month charge for 1 hour of Internet access removed. What a nightmare. So I'm going to go ahead and not recommend this pseudo-Verizon business. Astonishing that someone charges more money to be worse than Verizon at being Verizon. read more

Poor customer service. Was rudely spoken to when returning my fios router. Politely asked the employee to confirm whether my account had been cancelled since I received two different confirmation numbers that did not match and he blatantly ignored my question. Really thankful I cancelled this account because Verizon has been nothing given my horrible customer service. read more

SCAM ALERT: this is NOT a Verizon store. It is a private dealer. If you want to spend more money on your phone - fees added by this store that do not cover the Verizon fees - then go here and buy your phone. Also, Verizon will not reimburse you for those fees as this dealer is independent from/unrelated to Verizon. They also added an additional line to my phone service and an additional electronic device to my phone without my approval. read more

Every negative review posted about this retailer rings true. The experience is so bad that words cannot do it justice. They are a bait and switch operation hiding behind the Verizon name taking advantage of the gullible. If anything they give Verizon a bad name. AVOID!! read more

If there was a -1 rating that is what I would give them. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!!! They are not a corporate store therefore do not abide by Verizon policies. They have their own return policy that doesn't align with Verizon policy. They outright lied to me when I questioned the return policy that was in effect 2 months ago when we purchased 2 iPhones online from Verizon, they said Verizon changed their policy. They added insurance to the 2 phones we upgraded that never had insurance before. Also claim they made a mistake when we paid outright for 2 phones therefore just added the balance to my monthly bill without my authorization. Stay away!! read more

I had a really disappointing experience here. The store is nice and new, and the staff are friendly. However, there were a lot of hidden charges. First, nowhere is it advertised that this is a Wireless Zone rather than a Verizon corporate store (I didn't find out until I saw my receipt). This turned out to be consequential because none of my monthly discounts were in their system, and I had to return to the store to get a refund for the overcharge on my accessories and monthly service. Second, there were several hidden charges. Without asking, the staff member helping me set up my new phone, and then charged me $40 to do so (this has never happened to me at the corporate store). He also told me that the screen protector I was purchasing was $29 and compatible with my tech gloves. When I left I saw that I had been charged $60 for it, and it didn't work with my gloves. I immediately returned to the score to return it, but was told I could not because accessories are not returnable (despite the fact that it says they are on the receipt). A disappointing experience overall due to over $100 in hidden charges I incurred. read more
