Walked into the Verizon store and it was crowded. Lots of people wanting to be waited on, I guess because this store also offers service for FIOS and other products, not just cellphone service. The staff really is hurried and not very attentive. It's a shame, because ATT and Verizon are supposed to have the best network coverage in the country. I waited so long, I did not get anyone to come to help...it's a pity. I guess I will have to check my options online..that might be the easiest thing to do... 6/21/25 I consider Verizion Fios a crime in progress after turning my system back on from "vacation" . I had to pay them for partcial service that covered parts of two months for $ 378.67 after I turned all of my equipment in at a verizon fios store. They never gave me a veteran's discount during the years I used them, and did not want to discuss reducing my final bill. I moved out of state to SC, where our HOA pays the internet carrier about $45. a month which is included in our Monthly Fee of $ 208. We are keeping our RI condo for now--but added T Mobile home wi-fi to our wireless phone account for an extra fifty dollars a month for all our internet, and tv services. We also found out that the new Smart TV's are built to pick up all your local stations with your own little antenna in your house. Verion Fios is way over-priced when youu consider you can just stick a wireless modem in your home and pick up everything for $50 a month. I am done with Fios Customer Disservice..OK I may change tthis review if they actually get back to me. If this review remains intact-you will know they never did..UPDATE 6/27/25 when I went to mail their check with the $ 378,67--I had a new bill in my mailbox. The bill they sent me was for $ 498.92 for next month--(it said it was overdue--but they discounted it because it said my account had been disconnected, so I ONLY STILL OWE $ 378.67) i will update this again, or write a new review if anything changes. read more

I placed an online order with promo. My daughter went to store to pick up the phone they canceled my order and placed a new one with more expensive plan,etc. they took the old phone in for trade-in but didn't give credit. Workers there don't care about the customers. read more

My wife and I spent an hour and a half at a local verizon wireless store and with the help of the agent working there signed up on-line for a ten dollar per phone discount per month if we signed up for auto-pay. We were told our twenty dollar discount would start with our nest bill--it did not. We looked up the new invoice due nest month, and we are still not getting our advertised discount. After running the gauntlet with verizon customer service and spending an hour on hold and pushing buttons--we were finally told our account is "under review" to see if we are going to get that discount. Now they just hit our checking account for whatever they want. I would disregard any e mail offers Verizon sends you--it appears to be a scam. Tried "cutting cord" and only keeping the internet service from Verizon. They wanted to charge $130 a month for service and said none of there programs were available in my area. Aka "no other high speed internet options are available in your area so we're going to hold you over a barrel". iv since cancelled and couldn't be happier with COX at half the pric. read more

iPhone customers beware! Verizon is scamming anyone with issues with there iPhone blaming it on moisture . I was having issues with the charging port and was told the phone had rust in the connector and that since I didn't have insurance (another scam) that I needed a new phone at full price. I brought over to Apple store and they said it was pocket lint and promptly cleaned it out for free. read more

I was not real impressed with this store, they didn't have the item that I needed and didn't offer an alternative, I was very surprised about that. My visit started off a-ok when I went into the Verizon store at Providence Place. I picked out my new phone and started the 1800 questions and signatures that went along with the timely process of getting my new phone up to speed. I started to get a little annoyed with the less than enthusiastic technician who was helping me. I picked my phone on my own and all he had to do was switch the plan and a smile wouldn't hurt....in fact a little eye contact would go a long way too. I was told it would be a few mins to transfer data so I perused around the mall for about 15 mins. When I came back I was greeted by the super friendly manager, who knew my first name and told me they were having trouble getting the data from my old phone. It took about a hour and a half to finalize my phone upgrade but the manager kept me informed, made me realize they were really working on my phone (in the secretive 'back room') and made a personal connection with me. She was outstanding and totally 'upgraded' (hehehe) my initial impression review. read more

This is one of the better Verizon stores that I've been to. The manager was very kind and helped me find the perfect accessory for my mother's Galaxy S4. I'm not a big android fan, so I don't know a lot about them. The manager was patient and courteous. Beware, it may be easier to buy with cash if you can. My BoA credit card didn't go through several times thanks to the use of tablets for swiping items now instead of going to the counter like at other stores. This was a little frustrating, but the GM was patient which made me patient too. Their assortment of accessories in the front of house is lacking, but ask and they probably have it! read more

I have never been so compelled to write a yelp review.. hence the first yelp review ever! This was the absolute best verizon experience I have ever had. It was a Saturday night, and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I had tried earlier in the day to update my account online and over the phone, but this (shockingly) was so much easier than either of those first attempts. Very disappointed with this location. Went there on Saturday, purchased a new phone, case and screen protector. Went back in the same day to return the case, since they emailed me a code for a discount on accessories. Store was closed early, went back Monday to find the store closed again. No sign posted anywhere and the phone number for this store now states this location is temporarily closed. read more

I signed up for Verizon through ID ME for nurses because of the advertised pricing. It appears not everything they say is true. They keep giving me the run around. Some rude attendants there, wait times very long. Was going to buy a Note 5 as my Note 4 got ruined. My wife and I decided to use her Discover car, however she was not there but she is on my plan. The store gave me a hard time about this? I pay Verizon $3000 per year for the 4 smart phones on my account! I said please call my wife she is on my plan, and the guy game me a hard time. Whatever, and I walked out. Be wary of their accessories, very high ripoffs. Glass protection screen?.....$35???, I said no I can by elsewhere for much cheaper ($3 on Ebay!!!!). He said Verizon glass protection screens have a 15 year warranty (Horseshit)....really? Most phones die within 2.5 years or you upgrade. Then they have those cheap, packed bulk from China auto charge plugs (not even the cable) for $20 bucks! Much better quality at OfficeMax for $5.00 bucks.. RUN. DO NOT WALK away from Verizon Wireless One evening, I was sitting at my computer doing email when a new message came in from Verizon Wireless, acknowledging my purchase of an iPhone and a VERY expensive data package. I called immediately to tell them that I had not made the purchase. Apparently, web access to my account had been hacked. (No idea how. I had not logged on via the Web in more than 5 years.) The associate thanked me for reporting it, and said that the purchase would be flagged as fraud. I thought I had dodged a bullet. Little did I know. A month later, I got a phone bill that was HUNDREDS of dollars higher than my contract. I called back. Even though I had notified them within minutes of the fraudulent purchase, NOTHING was done about it. The purchase went through, the phone got shipped and activated and added to my account. It is now 2 1/2 months since that email, and after multiple calls and jumping through all of Verizon's fraud reporting hoops, including multiple trips to the state police barracks, my account is still hooked to this additional phone, AND THE PHONE IS STILL ACTIVE. Verizon is fine unless something goes wrong, and then there is absolutely nobody home over there. I called their fraud department today to say that they had one more chance to get this right. I told the woman, "It took you guys a few minutes to screw up my account AFTER I warned you about the problem. I don't see why it should take 2 1/2 months to fix it. I want my account fixed today. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Not next month. Today. This is my last call about this subject." She hung up on me. Buh-bye Verizon Wireless. read more

Thanks to Nemo the Blizzard, I found myself with a malfunctioning phone. I've usually had exceptionally good service from this store in the past--Stephanie, if she's still there, is amazing and helpful--so going here was my first stop. But wow, after yesterday, I will not be going back unless I can't possibly go anywhere else. I had to walk up to one of the several associates standing around to ask for help. Considering they're usually like vultures circling around roadkill when you walk in, it was a bit surprising. I tell the girl my tale of woe--stupid storm, phone's not working, turned on once while plugged in, didn't respond to a hard boot or a reset via computer. She asks if I've charged it. Yes. Was I sure I charged it? I can't be 100% sure, but yes, it was plugged in properly and should have charged. Did I try turning it on? I know they need to ask these things, but if I'm telling you it didn't respond to a hard boot, I would think you could rule out thinking I just need to press the on switch. After a minute, she looks at it, says it's water damaged, and let's pull up your account. This is where I should have walked away. Any other time I've been in with a phone issue, I've been sent back to tech services and I probably should have asked to see them. But I was tired, I had my kid in tow, and I just want to have my phone functioning. I have a couple months before my upgrade. She tells me to see if someone I know has an old phone ("even an old flip phone") and to come back later and purchase a new one. I asked if there was any chance customer service could help me out, as I've been a customer for almost 15 years. She told me I could call, but they probably wouldn't. What I could do was thinking about buying a tablet ("your bill will only go up an extra 20$ a month") and somehow use an upgrade from doing that to replace my phone. The caveat is that it would change my account and I'd go from unlimited data to their 8GB plan ("but you're only using 6GB"). That's how long I've been a Verizon customer. I have been grandfathered into unlimited data, which I imagine isn't good for their bottom line. I understand no one there is a miracle worker, they all want to make their commission, and they have rules they need to follow. But you know what? At least pretend to be sympathetic. It wasn't busy, offer to let me talk to a manager or to tech even if you're humouring me. Tell me to try the Apple store and make it their problem. Don't try to talk me into buying a tablet because there's some kind of hand-wavy voodoo that will allow me to upgrade my phone, all while reducing my plan. I did end up going to the Apple Store. As it turns out, they're a lot more interested in customer service. A 150$ repair fee (which I gladly paid) later, they swapped out my phone for a functional one. Whether Verizon is honestly ignorant of this or they're being greedy, I don't know. I do know that, when it comes time to upgrade, I'll head straight to Apple. read more

The customer service people kept giving me the same answers over and over. I was a Verizon wireless customer for many years and had good service, connections reliability etc. But when I shopped around, I found that I could save almost $80 a month on our family's three phones. The service people in the store were very nice (three stars), but when you shop around you can save some real money. I glad that I switched. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for at least ten years and have never been to such an awful store before. The manager here is truly incompetent and kept me in the store for HOURS, when I could have made it out within 10 minutes. Firstly, He opened my phone while back was turned for a moment. He opened it without my consent, and I wanted to take care of activation on my own time, when I actually had time. So he opens my phone and I tell him that I didn't want him to, why didn't he ask me? He just shakes that off and says that he has to activate it now. Okay, I guess. I didn't want to stand there for the activation because I was with my handicapped child who was hungry and tired. So I let him activate it and I wait and it is very late and they're pretty much closed. He's finally done and I'm leaving and he tells me that he needs to open the other phone that I purchased, which is my son's upgrade and was sitting in my Verizon bag. I didn't want him to open it because I got for my son, WHO LIVES FOUR STATES AWAY, that I intended to mail to him and have him activate when he gets it, and I HAD TOLD HIM THAT. Well he managed to have deactivated the old phone and activated this new one, without even mentioning it to me or asking if that's what I wanted. On top of that, he insisted that he open the box. Are you kidding me? I was so stressed out and couldn't take it. I just wanted to go home, but instead I got to stand there for more time, while he deactivated the phone in the box and reactivated the old phone. Thanks Verizon. read more

I went to this vz store to upgrade to a different phone. I was greeted my a seemingly friendly associate, then it went downhill from there. When I asked her my options, she told me about deals offered to me, and when I told her I wasn't interested in any of those deals she copped a huge attitude- even rolling her eyes- and I told her I didn't want to offend her but I simply wasn't going to waste my money on "deals" I didn't want. I ended up going over to AT&T and received much better service. Although I like the location of this store, I DO NOT recommend to anyone who appreciates respect and courtesy. read more

Went in yesterday with an iPhone 6 that suddenly stopped picking up Verizon carrier service with about a month left before upgrade, which I did find funny...Anyway, I was told at the Seekonk store that I would be able to pay off the last remaining month and upgrade to a phone that works, great! Because my employer is closest to Providence Place Mall, I decided to go there on my lunch break. WASTE OF TIME! Got some young cocky prick who took my phone, placed it on the counter to see the slightest of bends, really not that noticable. Tells me I have to pay $160 to get the upgrade now, instead of the $27 at Seekonk. Sounds really consistent to me...he tries to sell me on the fact that at least I'm not buying it at retail....really? Who buys the iphone at retail?? Thanks but no thanks...Went to the Seekonk store and they helped me without any questions and got me the new upgrade within the hour. Will not be returning to PPM to see this trash heap of a store. No wonder the place was empty. Both of the clowns I interacted with were terrible. One was playing on his phone while "inspecting" the bend. This store was enough to have me considering leaving Verizon, but the Seekonk store saved that. Kudos to Seekonk! read more
