I went to this store March 3, 2023. I got a new iPhone 14 ("free") for me, and asked them to delete my deceased husband's phone and number. The order system was down, and I had to come back the next day. After everything was done I saw a charge for $50 to transfer data from my old phone to my new one, and wasn't told of the charge in advance. I never had to pay for this at a "real" VZW store. They assured me my husband's phone was disconnected. Well , I just discovered the disconnect was NOT ever done, and I have continued to be billed for his number. I called Verizon directly today and it's being disconnected. They had no pending order for this! This store cost me plenty. So much for getting a "free" iPhone. When we went to the Wireless Zone (an authorized Verizon Retailer) at 1700 Kingfisher Drive near Giant Food, we thought we had a big problem. I wanted to buy a new phone and transfer the data from my current phone to it. I then needed to have the data from my husband's OLD phone transferred to my current phone. Victoria helped me buy a new phone and assured me that this could be done. When we came back to the store when my new phone arrived, Shiheed helped do all the transfers. He was very knowledgeable and patient. When we left, I had my NEW phone with all my data and my husband had my older phone (less than 2 years old) with all the data from his VERY OLD phone moved over. The store manager walked me through the process of switching my cell service from one account to another AND filing an insurance claim for my damaged iPhone. The entire process could have been extremely burdonsome but the manager went way above and beyond to simplify everything. I dread doing anything with technology, so I was not looking forward to purchasing a new phone. Nas could not have been nicer nor more helpful. My old phone was very slow, and it was taking much longer than anticipated to transfer information. Nas offered to stay beyond closing time to assist me. Finally, it was decided I could finish the process at home. When I went back the next day for instructions on how to use the phone, I was disappointed that he wasn't there. I have been with Verizon for over 15 years and I do not know how they get away with lying to customers, changing plans and upping the bills with authority. I discontinued one of my lines and they charged me so much more on the others that it was actually more than with the extra line. Also, made the mistake of buying a new phone to upgrade and I was given a price and info which I made the mistake of saying ok to and then to be told by a Corporate Supervisor that they do not have to honor anything I was told even though I have it in print FROM MY CHAT.. The store on Rte. 40 absolutely are the worst people. The last time I was in there, the girl handed me the phone and said, I have no idea how to make this work, call the 800 number and walked away. If I could give zero stars I would have!! This place severely lacks customer service skills from the sales associate to the owner. Nothing but attitude from the sales associate during my 3 visits to the store. She was much more interested it chatting it up with male customers than even acknowledging that there were other clients waiting to be helped and when I was able to get her attention she acted like she was doing us a favor by speaking with us. The owner apparently doesn't have daycare and was preoccupied with his kid and told me that the service I had requested wasn't a priority and he was busy with other clients that were just walking in. He said he would get to what I needed whenever he felt like it - after I had already waited over 4 hours for something I had been told would take an hour!! If these are the kind of people Verizon is letting represent them I'm going to seriously consider changing carriers! Horrible!!! read more
