OK, I know what you are thinking. Walmart for eye care? I felt the same way and I have to say…read morethat I owe Walmart an apology. Up until 2 weeks ago, I would have never thought of going to Walmart for vision issues. I ranked it right up there as if they had surgeons on staff (would you go get your appendix out at a place like this). I was completely wrong. This office has just about the same modern equipment as my previous optometrist minus the very expensive Opto-map. Initially you sit down and get checked for glaucoma, initial prescription measurement and some other device. In the main room, he broke out all the fun stuff from the funky eyeglasses to a huge assortment of headgear, lights, hand held lenses and charts. Overall I was in the office for over a half hour. This visit was way longer than my previous doctor. What was nice is that he explained every step he was doing. Overall, I felt as though I received more than I paid for. Excellent! I know for a fact that every aspect, angles, inside/outside of my eyes were checked. Wow. I never left any previous doctor with this feeling before. The outside staff is a bit bland on their customer interaction but guess what, I kind of liked it. No hand holding, hovering, forcing you to buy the most expensive stuff. He pushed the script to me and began to process my initial contact order. I had to ask him to buy glasses on top. Nice! NO Pressure! Overall the pricing is excellent. Copay, contact fitting, 1 pair of titanium, transitions, full scratch/glare protection, another pair of Safety Prescription glasses and disposable contacts for....$680. I don't know about you but if you go to some doc's that is the cost of 1 pair! I think I paid 500 bucks for my previous pair of glasses. Thank you WalMart. I will be going to your Vision Centers from now on. You helped me realize how much the markup is on glasses. Opto-map? Quick comment. It's a costly machine which takes a picture of your retina for the doc to scan on a PC's display. Much hype but insurance usually doesn't cover it. This doc uses light and lenses to peer into your eye and inspect the retina. Same thing, old school. WORD!

Walmart Vision Center is the best! Best customer service, best prescription glasses and they have a great selection of frames. Went back to them 3 times for them to correct them and ended up throwing them in the trash and coming back to Walmart. Oh, and did I mention great prices? That too.

A few days later, I went to pick it up. I forgot my receipt, and they couldn't find my order, which I thought was weird. I needed the fuel hose, so I bought 5 feet with the intention that I would come back with the receipt and get a refund since I never picked it up. When I returned with the receipt, the manager said it was rung up as a sale, not an order, and he couldn't do anything for me since I didn't have a fuel hose to return. When I told him I didn't have the fuel hose because it was an order, and I never received it. He called me a liar, saying, "How would I know you never received it?" He told me I might be able to come in when the cashier who checked me out was in, and maybe he would remember me, but otherwise, he could not help me. I have a corporate account with O'Reilly and maintain a fleet of vehicles. I don't have time to go in a 4th time for this matter. From now on, I'll be shopping elsewhere and cannot recommend this location. If you're the owner reading this, you should talk with your manager about basic customer service because you just lost a corporate account.

I recently purchased my fiancé's engagement ring @ Day's Jewelers and I could not have been more…read morepleased with my experience. My lovely lady is very particular in what she likes, and typically gravitates towards "the finer things in life". She was simply looking online for settings that she liked and fell in love with a Michael M setting that just happened to be at Day's. I am from Ma, so the prospect of purchasing the ring in NH and avoiding the tax man was certainly an added bonus. Shortly after I secretly made my way up to NH to check out the setting that my lady picked out. Just as I expected it was beautiful (also one of the most expensive setting in the store), so I began early discussions with the salesman George. George was very helpful, and did not push me in the slightest. I told George that I would need a few days to think about making this large purchase, and that he could call me in a couple days. George called a few day later and we made an appointment for me to come in and check out a center stone. On my second visit George pulled out a few 1 ct. (the setting was made for a 1 ct center stone) and they were all beautiful, but I knew I would have to go a bit larger. That is when the quality of Day's stood out! George came out with a stunning 1.54 ct Biro88 diamond and I immediately felt the need to put my sunglasses on. As a lady in the store said when she walked past us at the counter "that diamond is spitting fire right now"! Boom! Sold! Now it was a matter of talking price. I went into the process with a fair budget in mind, but after going through the process, I quickly realized that my preset budget was not realistic for the setting and center stone I had picked out. I told George that $20K would probably not be doable, but that I really wanted that ring! George called the manager over (Joe) and asked him if he could do anything for me in terms of the price. Obviously I knew they wouldn't be able to know $5K off the price, but let's just say they worked with me enough to where I felt comfortable. We completed the transaction that day. Since the setting I picked out was made for a smaller center stone; the setting, and center stone needed to be sent out to Michael M in California to have a custom setting made around the stone. Joe explained to me that the process would take approx. 3 weeks to complete the ring. In that 3 week period I found myself questioning my purchase so I began pestering Joe with questions/concerns. To Joe's credit he handled all of my concerns/questions with the utmost respect, and professionalism. He was able to calm my nerves and assure me that I had purchased an amazing ring. Three weeks later (the exact day they estimated the ring to be completed) I picked up the ring, and it is AMAZING! I proposed that night, and when I say that she is in love with this ring, that is only because I can not find the words to properly describe her joy with the ring. She literally gets compliments on this ring every single day! Throughout this process I became extremely frustrated with everyone and their brother telling me "you need to go to my guy, he is the best, and he will give you a great price". Needless to say, I am happy to say that I now have "a guy", and Day's jewelers will be getting my business going forward. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that asks. They do everything in their power to keep their customers happy.
