When Perkin's sold to Aubuchon, I lamented the loss and moved on - the location was much bigger, the inventory almost as good, and the service was good, with well trained employees. Around 2017 there was a corporate shakeup of some sort, and a gradual decline in the level of service, especially in employee training. Only the manager knew how to copy a key, and the young kids they hired were pretty useless when you needed something, and couldn't care less that they didn't know. If you've stuck with me this long, I'm getting to the point - Cyr Lumber at Exit 7 in Warner has grabbed the torch in terms of service and knowledge! They are a full service Ace Hardware, have lumber and building supplies, and provide many of the services that "old time" hardware stores had: key cutting, screen repair, glass cutting, blade sharpening. The whole feel of the place is less corporate, and you actually feel welcomed when you walk in the door! It's a nice change from the big box stores!

Staff wanted my name, phone number, address, and my driver's license to scan into their computer. They said they could not refund me without all that information. I told them to throw the tool in the trash and that I will never shop there again, and that their behavior is privacy invasion. Yesterday was my first (and now last) time shopping there. Where does it state the "policy" clearly and boldly so that prospective customers can see it before deciding to buy anything? I saw no signs, and if it is only written in tiny print on the receipts after the purchase is made then they are not allowing informed consent. Had I known how invasive Harbor Freight is I would not have bought anything. they have no ethical or moral right to violate people's privacy, and I think that their excuse of "fraud prevention" is BS used to gather people's private information.

This week, I received a flyer with a Labor day sale and decided that there were some good sale items and made the trip down to the store. We knew that they were closed on Sundays, but hoped that because the sale went through the 4th, that they would be open for business on Labor Day. We got to the store and unfortunately, it was closed, but they had posted the flyer on their door, so we decided to go back on Tuesday and ask them to honor the prices that THEY advertised. The owner first started with the, "we are just a small business" babble and went from there. Edmunds has 2 stores and has been in business for over 50 years. They could have easily helped us out, but instead they turned us away and chose to turn away our business. He did not even know he had the flyer on his door and said he knew nothing about it. Went to Home Depot in Concord NH about 2 months back. Had my young kids with me and they needed to…read moreuse the bathroom. Nothing out of the ordinary, what was odd was Amelia or whatever her name is it's hard to read her name on her apron with that purple ice cream cone painted on it. She works in the front end at the self checkout. So finished my shopping. Went to check Amelia pulls me aside to tell me that as kids start using the bathroom on their own they shouldn't be using the handicapped stall because if her disabled coworker was there that day she wouldn't be able to Go to the bathroom. Needless to say luckily I'm a nice guy cause other people would make a huge scene over this. So I walked away and she continued to follow me to make her point when I clearly did not want to hear it trying keep my cool till I got home. After getting home I called the store to file complaint about her inappropriate behavior. To recap this woman was watching my minor child in the bathroom!!! She continued to harass me at the check out about her stall choice. What this woman fails miserably at is not all disabilities are external. My Daughter is autistic and has severe claustrophobia. And when she needs to use that bathroom at her age she is going to use whatever stall she feels comfortable in! Final note I was in the Concord Home Depot a couple of weeks ago by myself because I will no longer take my kids there, and Amelia still works there even after watching a minor in the bathroom and harassing me at the checkout. And I know they don't care about one person's review, but I needed to share this.

The gentleman at the counter said to just swap them out and they shouldn't be much of a difference in price. When I swapped them out, I went back to the counter to let him know that I probably owed him a little bit of money because some of the washers I bought were almost $.50 more each. He just handed them to me and told me to have a nice day. I just moved to Epsom and everybody has been super nice.

Yet thank goodness they have nice employees. Am grateful they have basic fishing supplies. Also love they are so cool, that they have cats inside to handle the rodents. Plus they are friendly too.
