We were waited on right away by Ben and he answered all of our questions about a deal that sounded too good to be true. So instead of just getting one phone upgraded four of us got our phones upgraded. And the deal absolutely was true. Ben stayed with us the whole time during the upgrade process and transferred the data to our phones. Being the busiest shopping day of the year, I figured he would try to rush us out to wait on more customers, but this did not happen. Ben was patient answering all of our questions and was very enjoyable to work with. My daughter wanted a specific color phone that was not in stock and he made several calls to make sure that she got the phone she wanted. Ben has since checked in a couple times just to make sure our phones were working well and we didn't have any additional questions. I cannot recommend the Verizon store and Ben highly enough.

On today's visit the agent told us we could not buy an iPad here unless we had a cell number assigned. I contacted Verizon and they cancelled the service and refunded one year of cell charges. In January, I am switching to T-mobile. All attempts to fix the service through Verizon customer service have been met with "We have a technician working on it" and "You can buy an expensive signal booster fro your house". The thing is, for 30 years, service was fine...and now it sucks.

I can see how new employees, not properly trained, can wreak havoc on a customer's device, especially when one has driven long distances to seek assistance and instead get an "oh well" or a "call the non-support center" and wait six hours to get a human... Well, I did it in reverse and it worked. I tried the Apple "non-support Center" first and I got what I expected, hour-wait and a non-resolution of my problem. So then I ended up getting a Genius Bar appointment and had the luch of dealing with Justin, who apparently knows a lot about Apples. I arrived on time and went to the Genius Bar where I saw Justin, who although was waiting on three other people, had time to work with all of us. My issue was that somehow, different large movie apps and their gigabyte-sized files had created invisible grabs on my memory so my system memory (for an iPad) was 140GB. I had previously tried to first offload, then delete apps by the score, then erase and reformat from a backup but it didn't work. So came over here to get the scoop on how to redo it from scratch. Justin took me through the paces and it turned my system files from 140 GB down to 8. Exactly what I wanted. I left with a working piece of equipment. Prompt, courteous, good value.

I totally empathized as I use to work in retail long ago and understood the drill. Part of the job, which I don't miss lol. I can't recall the gentleman's name but he was very personable.
