Stopped in at 4:19 to have a battery put in my phone. Three customer service reps where cleaning the store and cashing out. They all stated 1/2 hour to put in battery but they would not have time because of paperwork and wouldn't have time before closing. I asked if they wanted a new customer and all stated again too late in day we close on 48 minutes . I was very frustrated and called corporate and complained. Horrible customer service. What a great little place I've driven by a thousand times and never even noticed them until a friend referred me there. I needed a new battery for my heart rate/fitness monitor and my car alarm remote. They had both replaced in under 5 minutes. During my few minutes in the store, 8 other customers came in. The batteries in my cordless phone needed replacing. They are some sort of weird Ni-MH/12V/Witchcraft rechargeable type not carried at most places so I looked online and found a local store named "Batteries Plus Bulbs." If the name does not give it away, they specialize in batteries and bulbs. Bulbs and batteries. Even better, the website offered a coupon for "$4 Off Cordless Phone Batteries." How exciting! I specifically needed batteries for my cordless phone! So I put on pants, grabbed my stuff and hopped in the F150 and made the trip to Batteries Plus Bulbs. The staff knew the exact batteries I needed when I told them they were for a Panasonic cordless phone, helped me locate them and I took them to the counter for checkout. So far, so good. And that's when things went south. I presented my "$4 Off Cordless Phone Batteries" coupon and they told me it wasn't valid because it was for cordless phone batteries. I replied that these batteries were indeed for my cordless phone and the guy who helped me specifically knew the batteries when I told him they were for a Panasonic cordless phone. No, said the manager. These are just special batteries that go in a cordless phone, they are not cordless phone batteries. This confused me so I replied that regardless of their other potential uses (none of which I was aware of), these were cordless phone batteries as I would be putting them in a cordless phone. We went back and forth for a while and I ended up getting $2 off my batteries. Had I more time to spend on this, I'm fairly certain I could have broken that manager like a horse and received the full $4 discount but I had to go back to work. read more

I have only ever posted 1 bad review. I keep bad stuff quiet as im in sales and know only whiners post so i dont buy into it.... unless its agreggious which this is. Ive been to Batteries and Bulbs 5? times in the last 2 years after having a car remote battery replaced and discovering how many things they sell. Modt recently my car battery. Last month my wife dropped her iphone at an amusement park shattering the screen. It always has both a case as well as a tempered glass screen cover but it fell and hit that tiny little edge area not covered. PS.... in having iphones since 2010, we've never broken a screen. When i got my car battery i noticed they fix cell screens so i figured why not? $80 with a 1 year warranty. 4 days later we notice the replacement has two cracks across the face. No signs of impact. b&b inspects and replaces the glass at no charge. Two days later, we wake up to another crack across the screen. ZERO sign of impact, cracked underneath the tempered glass cover across the face. B&B store, as well as cust svce now states warranty is 6 months not 1 year (negligible as its been less than 2 weeks), and refuses to replace it unless we pay $45. Ill never give this store business again. read more

I was devastated to shatter my iPad the day after Thanksgiving. They were able to repair it within hours!! I thought I would need to buy another iPad but they repaired it better than new!! Needed to replace both Fobs for one of my cars. Dealer quoted $400.00 for the pair. Called Batteries Plus and they said replacement would be $240 for the pair. Much better than the dealer. Got to the store and the tech said he'd see if they were repairable. Turns out they were. Replaced the outer plastic shell, an internal pad and new batteries and said the electronics were fine. Out the door for $73.00 including a 6 pack of 9 volt batteries. Who knew that wandering around a store of bulbs and batteries would be interesting but it was. Even my wife enjoyed looking at the displays. Staff was super friendly. read more

They did not want to tell me they get money for batteries that you give them even is there is no core charge. The sales rep first said no, then called it an exchange, they exchange scrape batteries for money. They need to be honest and upfront which i feel they were not. read more

Great service and after checking out 4 other store (Advanced,Sears,Pep & VIP) they were by far the cheapest around. Bottom line they could have sold me a battery and they didn't. I will never go to Batteries Plus again. I have purchased two car batteries from them for different vehicles, at different times and each of them failed in less than two years. Getting them to warranty their product is like pulling teeth. They make you leave the battery for over 24 hours leaving you stranded. In the end they would not replace the battery during this most recent event so I ended up buying an Excide battery because I could not wait. Truck has been 100% no issues for over two week with a different battery. I have gone to two different stores found incompetent employees in each one, on different occasions. Bottom line do not go there for car batteries or anything else they do not stand behind their product. read more

I purchased my battery on 8/28/15 its dead. I went to the Salem store where I bought it at, they stated they had to keep my battery over night to see if they could warranty a 3 month old battery. It does not state this on the receipt. Since there was no manager on duty I had to call this store where the manager told me I was S.O.L. DO NOT BUY YOUR BATTERIES AT THIS STORE OR SALEM. I was incredibly disappointed. I had a bad experience with Cellular Freedom, so I decided to give Batteries Plus a try... They ended up being even worse! They quoted me one price over the phone, the same price in store and then when I actually paid, they wanted $50 more and blamed it on me!! The customer service of Matthew Saunders, the manager was absolutely awful. It was his staff that gave me the incorrect information and they clearly were scared to admit to him that they had made a mistake! He was rude and just kept telling me that he would "happily" put my cracked screen back on my phone so I didn't have to pay the $180 for the replacement! So absurd! I even told them I would wait there while they reviewed the cameras to prove that I was in the right, but he refused to do so. I would absolutely never recommend them, and suggest that you avoid going here, because you will most definitely be scammed! read more
