I got scammed here in December , went to pick up a phone I had ordered from Verizon a replacement phone that was an upgrade on an existing line. Paid the taxes on the new phone directly to Verizon . Showed up here to only pick it up I didn't wanna wait for the shipping. I get there and I was told I get a free iPad with the upgrade I did . Total liar , he added a line to my account . I also paid the $80 taxes on an iPad I didn't even want. He literally was bragging about hooking us up and he wasn't making anything off of it. Raised my Bill by $200 a month ! Verizon should not have this as an authorized replacement service option, not an actual place to go and get help. They charge a $35 fee to help you transfer data here, told me to go somewhere else even though the official Verizon website has this listed as a drop off location they told me they could not help. read more

I was greeted upon entering..I began to ask my question to the employee and a man with Verizon came out from the back and began to reprimand the employee...."it told you not to talk to incoming customers...you are taking customers from other reps, u need to listen"...on and on ....finally I requested some help with my phone and he told me "that is not about your phone and I don't know anything about that".... I The original rep only greeted me... How unprofessional to speak to Another coworker in front of a customer and how humiliating for the one being spoken to by a coworker in front of a customer... Really surprised to see so many negative reviews. We went here as it's convenient to where we live, a little worried just seeing the average rating, but honestly was a really good retail experience. Also didn't want the phones shipped to our home so wanted to get from a retail store. We hadn't upgraded phones in about 3 years and came in for the Verizon upgrade promo. Winston was helpful in assisting us in determine the right memory options. I ended up going 1TB but for my wife we decide on 512GB, based on advice from him on current usage. The past time we got phones (at a Verizon store in north Austin) they didn't really seem to care to offer advice and my wife got the smallest memory size and for the past year has been frustrated there wasn't enough memory. It seemed like he genuinely wanted to help people. We went to pick up the phones when we saw the shipping notification from Verizon. Winston wasn't there and ended up working with Tyler. He was also surprisingly helpful. He helped us transfer all our data and even troubleshoot some of the issues we had with setting up 2 factor authentication with the new device and issues with work email. He also made us aware of things like to charge using the new USB-C instead of USB-A for better battery life. He made sure we had cases and chargers and stuff (which we already did) and most importantly wasn't annoying pushy for trying to get us to buy stuff there. I hate going to stores to buy something and be endlessly upsold after politely saying no the first time. Doubt I'll be back, just because it's one of those places you rarely visit. But genuinely appreciate the friendly staff we interacted with. read more

I don't leave reviews unless I've been done wrong. This store ILLEGALLY made changes to my account resulting in thousands of dollars for which I'm now responsible. After numerous conversations with the Verizon Fraud Dept who admitted that this store illegally made these changes, there's "nothing they can do" since it had been 30 days past the day the changes occurred. Long story short: This store sold my 17-yr-old daughter (who is not an authorized user on the account because she is a MINOR) a brand new iPhone, an Apple watch, and a phone line to go along with the watch. I am the authorized user and received NO COMMUNICATION from Verizon about this sale. This store DOES NOT follow ethical sales policies. When I went back into the store, they refused to do anything to rectify the situation. I've filed a fraud dispute with my bank and have since switched phone carriers to T-Mobile. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...4 TIMES! BEWARE! NOT A VERIZON STORE. "Cellular Sales" is in receipt & front window. Employees NOT well trained. We had heard great things about Verizon wifi unit that I could get even though I don't have a Verizon phone. We're traveling more & need to work on the road. I stopped by & talked to salesman. He showed me one, but I didn't have my company card with me. When I came back, suddenly there was more than 1 unit to choose from.. so we spent TIME going over both & deciding. THEN found out they were out of stock on BOTH!? RIDICULOUS! He found one in back that had been returned. He said we'd get a $40 credit for merchandise if we tried that one. We agreed. THEN, when it came time to check out, we were told we had to purchase ANOTHER accessory to get the $40 deal. :O SHAM, but we did need a phone cover.... so we did. I now know WHY the unit was returned... the sim card wouldn't stay "recognized". Annoying. I went back to exchange for a NEW unit. It took almost an hour & they STILL couldn't figure out how to switch to the new unit on our acct!? I finally had them DISCONNECT & CANCEL the account. Refused to help me and SLAMMED MY PARTNER'S FOOT IN THE FRONT DOOR WHICH IS NOW SWOLLEN. Nothing excuses that behavior. He also made a classist comment about how "people pay more than $400 for their phone bill" when I asked why I needed to pay a $15 service fee for help with my esim trouble after three hours of different online Verizon agents were not helpful and I was left with NO WORKING PHONE or other way of help. Absolutely ridiculous excuse at customer service. He refused to help me in any capacity because "I bought my phone online and not in this specific store". I don't care if it's policy, it's unexceptable when your so called "free options" do not work and leave a customer without a working phone. When my partner asked for the employee's name to report to management, he refused and shoved the front door of the store on his foot. Yesterday, I accidentally remote erased my phone, which also erased my SIM. Fortunately, Tyler was working when I walked into the Verizon store. It was tricky, but Tyler uncomplainingly went through the slow process of getting an eSIM back on my phone. It's not something they run into every day. He then helped me finish setting my phone back up and giving me some new pointers I hadn't known about. I was so relieved and especially grateful for his kindness. Got my phone stolen, went in to get a new one and would've been better off getting a trackfone from the gas station. My "verizon business expert" told me my bill was going to be $3 extra dollars a month, failing to mention a completely additional $24 a month charge. Called the real Verizon customer service and they said the guys in the store often lie to make a sale. My rep - Robert Day is no different - lying and scamming to make a sale on top of adding on an additional $100 in charges between the screen protector and the phone case on top of the $700 he already saw me spend to pay off my old phone and set up the new one. I watched one of the staff there help a disabled lady, not only with her phone, but helped her back her stuff for the bus ride and even called her a ride when she missed the bus. I had the absolute worst service and I am leaving verizon because of the way the sales reps behaved. I've had a business account with verizon for 5+ years and have been with verizon for 15. I upgraded my iphone through verizon and was mailed the new phone. I didn't buy it from a 3rd party. There was an error activating the new phone through calling customer service (I initially tried to activate 6 days ago), so I brought my phone in to the store to activate. The sales rep couldn't figure out how to activate the phone, so we called verizon support from the store. I sat in the store for 1 1/2 hours while they struggled to activate the phone and accidentally deactivated my current phone. Finally the support person tried to give me the F off "we'll make a ticket and escalate" line, to which I responded that a ticket was already made 4 days ago and that they need to resolve the issue before I leave the store. Either activate the new phone or reactivate the old one so I can switch carriers. The first sales rep, who had checked out long ago when I was on hold with customer service, puts on his coat and walks out the door at 5:20pm (store closes at 8). He said his shift was over at 5; that's fine I don't expect him to stay late, but I do expect another sales rep to take over. I look around the room and asked another rep (Colton) if he was going to take over for the departing first guy. He says, "No you're on your own." I was taken aback by this disrespect and said, "are you giving me attitude now?" He responded, "Yes I am. People like you think you can come in here at the last minute when this could have been done in 5 minutes earlier." I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean, since I came in at 3:40pm and was there for almost 2 hours. Then this disrespectful loser glares at me, clearly looking to escalate the situation. I've been an emergency physician for 15 years; I'm not fighting some punk in a verizon store and can clearly see that no further help is going to be offered. You have 2 jobs: sell phones and turn them on. And this uneducated loser can't even do that right. I'll switch carriers. Verizon is worthless. Lost my business for good. read more

Another update...make sure you get the salesperson to go over every single document before you sign. Make sure you get your e-disclosures form printed or emailed to you (you will have to request this). The salespeople are either not honest or not competent and will state things that are different than what you are signing. Then you're locked in. I will never go back to one of these stores and will make sure to tell everyone I come in contact with about cell service to avoid the stores as well. They do not hold their salespeople to any standard; the salespeople just want to make the sale regardless of what is best for the customer. read more

I would not come here with any issue about your phone plan. Call Verizon customer service line first, because these workers are very lazy and will tell you to call their help line ASAP as soon as you walk in the door, they don't even offer you the number. I honestly don't know how these people can be so worthless and be okay about it. I've driven out of my way to this location twice. It took just over two hours of waiting and speaking with the employee to move my phone from my parents plan to my own. I already did my price comparisons, and had the account holder ready on the phone to release my number. The internet wouldn't work well enough to finish my transaction so the guy told me to go home and finish setting up on the Verizon app (no joke, internet didn't work where they sell internet service...). Well I go home and set it up to see my monthly bill is ~$240...for what is now TWO phone lines. So now I just got off my 3rd tech support call with Verizon to TAKE OFF THE PHONE I DIDN'T ASK FOR. They said they removed it (I can still see it on the app), but my bill for this month is $179; $80 above what it should be. I was told that they cannot make my amount due for my first month of service the amount I agreed to when I signed up. I haven't paid yet, but they can't fix the error? This place sucks. The employees are clueless. I should have read Yelp before going there, this is obviously an issue with others. Verizon just lost a customer for life, that's for sure. Shameful. read more

LONG OVERDUE REVIEW: Worst customer service ever at this location. Some staff members were nice but most people I worked with were extremely unhelpful, rude & quite condescending. I purchased an iPhone 12 Pro Max & a $34.99 fast charging power block to attach an apple lightening usb cable to from here in May 2021 with Javier. A few days later I realized I didn't need the charging block / went back to return it. Tim helped me & shared the only way they could give me a refund was via check through the mail, I originally paid with card, but understood, said okay sure, and gave him back the physical product: power block that day. It's now September 2023 & they still haven't sent the $37.88 check. I've moved out of state since then but called 15+ times & even went to the store in-person when I was visiting in March 2022. Each time the Store Manager just kept insisting the only thing he could do for me to get a refund was to put in an IT Service Request Ticket with their internal teams and re-verify again that my mailing address was correct for the check to be sent (it was). This is a ridiculous practice, that if you buy something at their store and return it, you just won't get your money back ever!! I returned the block in person, still don't have my $ or the product...product (cable block) which I asked to take back while at the store since I never got refunded MY MONEY but since the return was already initiated they said "No, they could not let me take anything back." Of course I recognize this is not a huge amount of money but it's the principle of it all and being patronized the entire time during customer service interactions for just asking kindly to be paid for what I'm owed. If you have to do business with this store be sure to video record the entire sales conversation so that you have proof of what they say and promise. Not many things in life worse than somebody who will lie to you when selling you something so that they can hit a quota or make a sales commission. I have never been treated worse as a customer in my entire life. I purchased a phone that I noticed had a defective corner of the screen. Unfortunate, but, these things happen. I initially went to the apple store - where, I was told, yes the screen is defective but they take weeks to replace it, I should try going to Verizon first since they may be able to just exchange it for a working one. I returned to the store and my issue was observed. I was told that I could exchange the phone but there was a restocking fee. Well, I don't think I should pay a restocking fee on a defective product and was told my only other option was to call customer support. I was frustrated by this, and another employee asked if the phone was one of their inventory. I said yes, and showed him the issue, he agreed it existed, and told me to call customer service and issue a warranty claim, but they may not agree with me. Now, I probably should have held my tongue here, but, I do not like feeling like I've been taken advantage of. I asked if it was company policy to not assist people who have been sold defective phones. My mistake I guess because the rep got VERY defensive. He aske me why I thought I had the right to speak that way, how he thought this made him feel, and then TOLD me that I don't care how he feels. When I asked why he was getting so aggressive and what his name was he refused to give me his name and threated to call the cops and have me arrested for trespassing. I did not yell, I did not raise my voice, and I did not say anything personal or demeaning to this nameless employee. I was simply expressing normal frustration in a situation where I felt like I was being taken advantage of. If this is the way Verizon treats lifelong customers, I think I'll finally be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I would NOT recommend going to this store for any Verizon upgrades or purchases. My husband and I have had Verizon for many years, and thought it was time for an upgrade. We went to this location and a gentleman helped us, and seemed to be knowledgeable and kind. He talked us into upgrading our data plan and said that we would get a discount for doing so. We thought, why not?! So we did the upgrade, and didn't think much of it. We recently received our bill and noticed that there was no discount on it - it was $45 more than he told us it would be. I called Verizon to inquire, and they said that no such promotion existed and recommended that we contact the store. I called Cellular Sales and asked to speak to a manager. I briefly explained why I was calling and he responded by saying, "I have a customer in front of me and can't talk, you can come into the store or I can follow up with you next week." Maybe I am being a little over sensitive, however, I do not think that is acceptable customer service, especially for a manager. In the end, it seemed as though the original guy was trying to make his quota and would say anything to do so - even if that meant lying to us. Luckily, I called Verizon back and spoke with a supervisor who was very helpful and he got it taken care of. From now on I will only deal directly with Verizon. I rarely write reviews as I normally just express my feelings by word of mouth. However; I realized that I use Yelp to judge a business more than anything else. I hope this helps give you a good idea of the level of service this location provides. I walked in needing some assistance with activating a device. I was greeted when I walked in by two employees at their desks. I went over and started explaining my predicament with Allison (Redhead, nice smile, super sarcastically sweet). Allison provided the best customer service I would ever expect to receive. Allison had the assistance of Edgar as well. Together, they formed a duo that would rival that of Batman and Robin. Allison asked the right questions and Edgar came in with a Batarang and knocked out the problem in one fell swoop. Seriously though, the customer service was superb and will have me coming back to buy these guys tacos next time I need help. It must be noted that I do not know these individuals personally either. I haven't stepped foot into a Verizon retail store in over a year. Just good to see there are people that will go above and beyond for customers with a good attitude. read more

I hate writing a terrible review about a business when so many companies are struggling, but this retailer is dishonest, deceptive, and extremely unprofessional. I went to this location, thinking they were an actual Verizon Store, THEY ARE NOT. They are an indirect store for Verizon. Keep this in mind as I tell you what they did... I was there to buy a new phone, and I asked my sales person, if they had any deals or discounts running. He replied no, but said, as he looked at our family plan, that 2 of our phone numbers had gone over our 12GB plan on 2 separate occasions, but since I was buying the latest iPhone, he could give me 2 FREE hot spots for my kids, so we would never go over our 12GB plan again. I asked him on 3 separate occasions, this is free? He replied, "YES, that's what I can do for you! "I thought... fantastic. I even went as far as to confirm that my monthly bill would remain the same amount, and he replied,"absolutely", matter of fact he said, "your bill may be up to $20 cheaper, because of the FREE hotspots. "He had me initial and sign paper work, and to be honest, I didn't read through it because I trusted him- he said, I would see a one time charge of $40 for my new phone and please just sign, so I did. We received our bill- this kid, charged us $62 for each hot spot, wait for it.... snuck in a 2 year contract without my knowledge, and to cancel this contract it would be $175 for each hot spot! I reported this store to the Corporate Verizon, and they were appalled by this, but they can do nothing about it, because it is an indirect store, so be extremely careful. I also, spoke with the area manager, who promised me, he would get back with me on his decision to refund my money, since his employee was completely DISHONEST, and no surprise,he has never returned my call or text messages. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, I have never encountered such an evil, deceptive employee at a store in my lifetime. We had a very nice support staff named Sarah that I would recommend working with. Overall service was "quick" and painless.

Clueless and apathetic support staff... I'm pretty irritated at the lack of competence at this location. Came in for a simple upgrade for my mother and wanted the phone to be shipped to Ohio for a store pickup and NOT shipped to Austin, Texas... But without even confirming all my order details, Jasmine (Verizon employee) decides to send the order through... and then says, "Ooops." That ooops means that the phone is now coming to Texas and NOT Ohio, and for some efffing reason, the order cannot be canceled and resubmitted..?!!? Then when I get upset and ask for a solution and reasoning behind why I now have to wait a few days for it to be delivered to the WRONG state before I can begin to fix the problem, I just get a shoulder shrug and a half-hearted sorry. Just had a less than pleasant experience here with Nick the team leader. My husband and I came in during the day he wanted to add another line for me. And I was switching over from sprint. Well I thought all was great we left with a new iPhone 7 also purchased a cover and screen so spent $200 at the store. 5 hours later the phone is still not working? Why? Because Nick FORGOT to ask me for my PIN number and call the port and have it transferred!!! U would think that's the first thing he would do so that the person leaving the store would have a functioning phone. Had to go in at 7.45pm back to the store to find a very sleepy and passive Mason who was more than happy to pawn off the whole phone call to me. As in he called the portal place and asked me to take over! Excuse me but no I'm the customer, he didn't hear what the lady on the phone was saying because too busy listening and staring at his colleague. There was another woman at the store just as unhappy as I was. In the end my problem did get sorted and thank you to Mason because he did help but would have been much nicer not to have had to come back on Saturday night, completely unaware of what the problem was. If I were u I would definitely pick a different Verizon store! The one downtown is awesome and everyone seems to be awake and willing to help! read more

This place is way beyond shady. My wife and I upgraded our phone through the verizon website and for some reason that prompted them to give these hucksters our contact information. They sent me an unsolicited text message purporting to be Verizon (they very clearly are NOT verizon, just a seller of their products). I very clearly said that I did not want to be contacted by them ever again yet they sent me a "follow up" messages. The fact that Verizon would share my info with these people without my permission makes me want to switch providers. read more
