Everything was spectacular, food, wine, dessert, lemonchello, and ambiance. Wait staff were amazing and fun, and our waiter lived in Miami for a period of time, so there was great conversation. 5 Stars all the way.

Verginiello is a MUST for lunch in Capri. Our boat driver suggested this for lunch and I am so happy that we went with his recommendation. The views are insane. The dining space has large windows that face out into the bright blue ocean. You'll need to take the cable car to get up to this part of town, and the views from the top make this absolutely worth it. Everything here was speedy. The New Yorker in me was loving it. It was quick to be seated, place our order and get our food. The calamari was some of the best I've had and was perfectly crispy and salted. The portion was huge and fairly priced. The pizza was just next level tasty. Hubs and I both agreed that it was our favorite pizza in Italy. There are tons of different pie combinations, and we went with ham, mushroom and olive. This along with the app was plenty for two at lunch. My only complaint about the pizza is that they do not cut it, and the olives had pits (sort of weird when biting into the pizza). This is a fabulous option for lunch in Capri and if you are visiting I'd strongly suggest adding it to your dining list.

We went to lunch here in the summer and it was delicious. We had calamari, caprese salad, seafood pasta and seafood pizza. Everything was very fresh and my favorite part of this restaurant was the beautiful oceanside views. They keep the windows open and the fresh air comes through. Service was efficient. I would recommend anyone visiting Capri to come here for lunch. It is a little bit of a walk from the center of the town but worth it!

I had a Thanksgiving pizza here! Off the main drag, down a stone stairway, so you might walk by it without even noticing it. Fewer tourists, more locals. I had a good wood-oven pizza ortolana rossa (veggie with red sauce). That's not a glass of wine in the photo; it's olio picante (ask for some with your pizza). Two big rooms with views to the sea. Good prices for Capri. NO COPERTO! One of the few places even open off season in November. Free WiFi, but it came and went. It was recommended by my hotel's owner. Very happy to have discovered it.

We were recommended this place by our boat guide who said this was simple and inexpensive food. Would definitely agree - food was very simple, straight forward, and prices were very reasonable considering you are in Capri. However, service is unfortunately seriously lacking - the food came out so fast that I was still eating my appetizer as my meal was served. They dropped it on the table and walked away. Then we waited for more than 40 minutes to get anyone's attention for the check despite asking for attention multiple times. And my friend is native Italian!! So if you aren't in a hurry, want to be left alone, want some decent food that isn't too expensive...this place is for you.

Perfect pasta and seafood from Mediterranean. Locally suggested and reasonably priced.

This was the best Caprese salad that my mom and I had so far in Italy. Homemade ravioli was delicious and staff was very welcoming!

Great pizza. Good salad and house wine. Waiters are a bit rude. Seems like they cater to locals.

The food is good. The local fish is tasty. The ravioli caprese worths it! The severs are bad, it seems they don't like to work here.

We even saw him take a bite of the communal Parmesan cheese with the spoon from the dish (and the mother returned it to the bowl) which prompted us to not use the Parmesan. The pizzas were hot and fresh, we ordered the Davola and salsiccia e friarielii. Both were delicious but in the end, we love a tomato based pizza the best and should not have wavered. A glass of house wine was surprisingly reasonable at just 5 euro and was a standardly nice, juicy, easy to drink red. The bread was incredibly delicious. The smokiness from the wood oven made it possibly the most delicious bread I can remember eating. No butter. No olive oil. Just delicious. We would have loved to have tried a few of the pasta dishes that looked delicious, so our recommendation for a couple is to get a pizza and a pasta and share them. The salads also looked fresh and large. As many places in Italy, there a fee to sit at the restaurant and be served. 8 euro for both of us. The next day when waiting for our ferry ride, we popped into a pizzeria and grabbed another pizza diavola to go...what a let down. The pizza at buca di bacco was within a euro or two in price and 100% better. If you haven't had a good pizza in Italy and find yourself in Capri, at least grab one or two of their pizzas to go and eat them near the ocean overlook. Don't forget the chili flakes You will be quite content.

On the other hand, if you come here with the intention of experiencing a real Italian dinner with someone you love, you really can't beat the wine selection, ambiance, meal options, service and so on. We started with the Tuna Tartar and a dozen oysters, paired with a bottle of white wine. We had the lemon spaghetti, lamb shanks, dessert bar and limoncello. Everything was excellent. Our server was also a great guy who had been dating a girl from Los Angeles, which made for fun conversation. The hostesses took photos of us and the tables next to us were also great people having the time of their lives. Highly recommend if you know what you are doing.
