    Seafood Pasta with mussels

This was a very authentic, family owned restaurant that I had in Amalfi coast. I spent 3 days in Amalfi and found this restaurant after stumbling through many different alleyways. You get a sense that the entire family works in this restaurant when you see Nonna (grandmother in Italian) running the show. The Lasagna was the BEST one I have ever had. The entire menu was the most inexpensive out of all of the major restaurants I went to. You could also see the entire kitchen from wherever you sit inside and watch the chefs cook your food with passion. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants that comfort, and home-style Italian food that one could desire!

I love this restaurant. Excellent food, good value, family-run. Varied menu, watch the chef and kitchen from your table. Try the penne pasta, swordfish or salmon ravioli. Steps up from Amalfi's Main Street, but worth it! Highly recommended.

Amazing authentic Italian experience off the beaten path! Incredible pizzas and salad and vegetarian lasagna. Good for vegetarians! This place is a true Italian gem! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that you could see the kitchen. We felt immersed in the Italian culture and experience.

Spinach ravioli and whole grilled sea bass

What a great restaurant! Small family owned place a short climb up from the bottom of Amalfi. Parmiggiana di melanzane was delicious. The spinach ravioli were excellent. The real star was the grilled fish of the day, sea bass. Simply grilled with salt and pepper with a bit of oil, lemon and parsley, and hands down one of the best fish I've ever had. One caveat: ASK how much the fish of the day is (listed as "market price" on the menu). We didn't and just ordered it after being told they were out of salmon, and ended up being charged 20 Euro when there is nothing on the entire menu even remotely close to that price.

It was delicious. It's been a month and I am still thinking about those clams. The owners are so friendly. We loved everything we tasted.

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.
