    Paolino Spritz (~€22)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Mozzarella Al Limone (~€30) Totani E Patate (~€40) Fettuccine con Bolognese (~€40) Linguine Con Crastacei (~€55) Riso Mare (~€46) Dolce E Frutta (~€28) Paolino Spritz (~€22) Paolino Lemonade (~€20) Limoncello shot (complimentary) Aya's take: Let me start off by saying their reservation process is highly random and discriminatory (I won't get into it here but feel free to message me about it). The decor is stunning and it's super spacious; it truly feels like you've teleported to Lemon Land. Out of the appetizers, the Totani E Patate was absolutely incredible. Very unique take on octopus especially mixed in with the fried potatoes. All the pastas were good, and surprisingly the Fettuccine con Bolognese stood out the most. The Spritz & Lemonade were both light and refreshing. After our meals, our waiter "welcomed" us to the dessert bar which we thought was complimentary given how it was described. However, it was ~€28 per plate. Just a heads up for when you go; even if a few people share the plate, it's a better deal than everyone in your party paying the ~€28 separately. It was a good try but given some shady events (our reservation process, a few added charges to our bill, etc.), I don't think I'd go back.

Ristorante Da Paolino is located in the Palazzo a Mare district of Capri, opposite Villa Bismark. A 5 minute walk from Marina Grande, the restaurant is just a short taxi or bus ride away from the Piazzetta and the center of Capri. Dine beneath a blanket of lemon trees, and experience truly authentic Italian cuisine on the island of Capri. Preserving its rustic charm with an assortment of ceramic plates and bowls emblazoned with bright illustrations, the menu is unfussy and flavour-focused. As you might expect, lemon plays a key role in many of the restaurant's signature dishes; alongside the citrus tang, the menu includes fresh seafood, perfectly-cooked steak and a variety of Mediterranan staples including pasta dishes. A regular backdrop to high-profile weddings, the restaurant is illuminated by candles, and the lemon vines dripping from above promise a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Da Paolino is perhaps one of the most beautiful places I have ever eaten. There are beautiful lemon trees that act as a canopy over the dining tables. The lemon trees provide a peaceful, serene ambiance and adequate shading (in most parts) of the outdoor seating area. That being said, a scenic background does not come for free. The cover charge per person (about 6 euros) is a bit more expensive than other restaurants at Capri. Da Paolini is known for hosting famous celebrities such as Dwayne Wade and Elton John so don't be shocked by the sticker price. The food was not amazing, but it was pretty tasty. They had some unique dishes that were very well done. I ordered the lemon ravioli and loved how the chef extracted the flavors of the lemon without having it overpowering the dish. Although my dish was a bit small, the quality was good. The servers mixed up a few of the dishes at my table so there was some opportunity for improvement but they were pleasant. In order to eat at the restaurant, you have to make a reservation. It is very hard to email and get a reservation confirmation so I would recommend calling. If you don't speak Italian, then call and use the Google translate to hear the options. I think I had to press "2" to reach the host.

We had a late dinner here one of the nights we were in Capri. The atmosphere and dessert bar was the best part! It's not someplace we'd go back to as we had much better food at other restaurants. They definitely cater to the rich and famous, which we are neither.

Simply wow! We were lucky to have been able to get a reservation through our hotel on the same day for dinner (albeit early dinner! We got a table right at 7:30pm). Apparently they are booked completely already for the entire summer season, however if you ask your hotel they will likely be able to help! Walking into this restaurant it's literally walking into a dream, a lemon tree dream! Lemons and gigantic ones, the size of Buddhas hand even. The largest I have ever seen and the most delicious I have ever tasted. Not the sour kinds I am used to getting. The meal was fantastic. Had three courses and all spread out between 3 hours. We shared both the appetizer which was a tasting of three dishes (eggplant parm, grilled mozzarella with lemon leaf and fried zucchini flower) I think you can go without this dish. I was most impressed with the eggplant parm. The other two were Ok. You can get each sampler dish as a separate apps. Which we should've done. For primi, we shared a pasta dish with fresh razor clams. Love razor clams, however this dish was without the shells. Very simply cooked with oil and freshly grated lemon zest. Then we had our dishes of Sicilian gamberoni. Wow! My favorite. Can never go wrong with simply grilled gambeonis. The service was also great. However towards the end of our meal the restaurant was completely full. The avg meal time is 9pm! Overall simple fresh seafood dishes. Highly recommend if you are looking for a different experience.

How can you come to Capri and not go to Da Paolino? We came here for dinner last summer and you truly have to see it to believe it! The size of the lemons here is absolutely unreal. In fact, before dinner we were wondering if these enormous lemons ever fall on people during dinner. They do! It happened to a couple next to us during dinner, it was very entertaining. The night we were there for dinner there was also a very large event happening with a few celebrities in attendance. Even with all of the hoopla our service was not affected throughout the meal. Overall the food was very good but the veal milanese was a bit thick and heavy for my taste. Apparently there is a pasta sampler that you can order if you know to ask for it, which I wish I had know about in advance! I'm not sure that I would put this on my repeat list but was worth the experience!

The hype is real. You have to experience this place at least once when you are on the island. Come for the Instagram shots, stay for the food. Order something with lemon stay away from the red sauce dishes, you're not here for that anyways. Wine by the glass is very expensive, but they have a huge bottle wine list that is very reasonable. Excellent ambiance, and yes, live lemons growing everywhere.

I mean, just wow. Da Paolino is the restaurant of my dreams. Walking into Da Paolino, one is captivated by the huge lemons dangling from the intertwining vines encapsulating the entirety of the restaurant. Waiters rush to greet you and escort you to your table. We got the caprese salad to start. Plump, sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and bright, fresh green olive oil. Perfect. I ordered the lemon ricotta ravioli...and wow. The lemon was perfect, tart, not overpowering. My husband ordered spaghetti alla nerano. My heart skipped for a second once I had my first bite. I didn't know it was possible to fall in love with a pasta. The nerano dish: perfectly al dente spaghetti, creamy provolone del Monaco, sweet fried zucchini, basil. I have tried so many times to recreate this pasta, I have not even come close. To finish they bring out complimentary homemade limoncello. I am angry at myself for not buying a bottle when I was there. Overall, if you are in the area and looking for a special place to celebrate an occasion or even celebrate life definitely check out Da Paolino. You will not be disappointed.

There's so much hype around this restaurant and I really wanted to go when I saw Magic and Jordan went. There's a lot of mixed reviews lately but I found the restaurant to be exactly what I expected and wanted. We came for the ambiance and it didn't disappoint. It's beautiful sitting under the lemon trees and there's a fun buzz being there. The octopus appetizer was delicious, the lemon pasta was very good, the drinks were great, and the dessert bar was fun but not tasty, would skip that next time. They brought limoncello tasters at the end which was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and treated us well and took our pictures happily on request. It was definitely a memorable experience.

Delicious worth the hype. I almost skipped on this place cause of the IG hype. But I asked a local his thoughts and he replied it an experience, don't miss out. The ambiance was like a dream. The lemon tree canopy, candles, water Features. They really touch all the senses. They had a wonderful female vocalist play along side a Spanish Guitar, classic Italian songs. The starter was a classic Caprice salad with prosciutto. My Main dish was a pasta and muscles. My husband had the local Sweet flavored shrimps in pasta. Everything was so fresh and made from local Ingredients. I cannot remember what kind of wine we had that night but it was delicious. The wine selection is literally a large novel of a menu lol. They also gave us Free limoncellos at the end of our meal, unfortunately I'm not a fan. But I still enjoyed trying it. But the best part is the beautiful Malorca room that is a dolce buffet. I was in heaven ! The gentleman helping serve the desserts was equally pleased to sever me all his favorites. He was no pun intended a sweetheart. It's worth the hype ,worth the expensive €200 price tag. Yes go take your stupid picture like I did .Enjoy the bliss this experience of a meal will bring you.

    Stuffed fried zucchini flower

Came for dinner on our honeymoon since it's a must stop place in Capri. The ambiance is very cool with all the lemon trees and the service was fantastic and added to the experience. The food was good but not amazing, we had much better food at a number of places but it's cool for the ambiance. We loved the stuffed zucchini flowers and the sea bass in lemon sauce, both of these were fantastic. the lemon pasta was average, just lemon and butter, good but I've had better and I was expecting more from a lemon themed restaurant. My husbands veal Milanese was very tough and dry, I would not recommend here. Sea bass was fantastic but everything else was just average.

We even saw him take a bite of the communal Parmesan cheese with the spoon from the dish (and the mother returned it to the bowl) which prompted us to not use the Parmesan. The pizzas were hot and fresh, we ordered the Davola and salsiccia e friarielii. Both were delicious but in the end, we love a tomato based pizza the best and should not have wavered. A glass of house wine was surprisingly reasonable at just 5 euro and was a standardly nice, juicy, easy to drink red. The bread was incredibly delicious. The smokiness from the wood oven made it possibly the most delicious bread I can remember eating. No butter. No olive oil. Just delicious. We would have loved to have tried a few of the pasta dishes that looked delicious, so our recommendation for a couple is to get a pizza and a pasta and share them. The salads also looked fresh and large. As many places in Italy, there a fee to sit at the restaurant and be served. 8 euro for both of us. The next day when waiting for our ferry ride, we popped into a pizzeria and grabbed another pizza diavola to go...what a let down. The pizza at buca di bacco was within a euro or two in price and 100% better. If you haven't had a good pizza in Italy and find yourself in Capri, at least grab one or two of their pizzas to go and eat them near the ocean overlook. Don't forget the chili flakes You will be quite content.
