Building was so clean and new that I returned each week with minimal laundry…read more The 1st time, there was 1 baby sock that stunk of adult b.o. I'd brought no baby clothes. Fortunately it only stunk up a nearby bag in the dryer, I pulled sock out and put it on a machine away from me. No big deal, just weird. A masked lady who worked there was always around. 2nd time fine. 3rd-4th times fine. Last week, I washed and dried all my sheets and blankets using several machines. I read, answered emails during that time. I unloaded the dryers and my most expensive blanket was gone. I looked around, everyone on their phones, masked lady can't be found. Even tho I'm a perfect tenant, I was pushed out of my home recently, I'd always paid the rent, respectful to everyone, an influx of illegals tripled our rent and everyone except illegals , their friends, and a few wealthy tenants got to stay. It was city-wide. I can't ever afford that specific blanket ever again, they may think they struck gold, but I can't help it, I don't respect thieves nor liars. They cheap and low. I refuse to have to sit and stare at my laundry while it's drying. I was very upset for rest of day that anyone would steal from poor people, that's entirely gross. I'm not going to insult animals by calling them animal names, and I'm not going to call them slimy. Of course I won't have anything to do with that slimy place again. Thousands of other laundromats not too different, but not there.

I never thought that appliance repair would be so rewarding. But, with "planned obsolescence"…read moremaking newer appliances fail sooner and sooner throughout time, I wanted to give it a shot. I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. Serge is the appliance doctor (and Vera the nurse) that you need.

After diagnosing the problem of a non working fridge ice maker and ordering the part, he returned and completed the repair. All work was done efficiently and completely. In addition he diagnosed a problem with another appliance and offered me options. There was no pressure, only information. I felt that Lucid's fees are competitive and reasonable. I will certainly contact Serge again if needed.

He has a small little shop and hs recently expanded turning his little shop into a work station and taking on a storefront. He has surgical precision as he use to be a surgeon in his home country. Here he works on jewelry repair and watches. Take him anything from a ring to a Rolex, there is nothing this man cant fix. He is the James Bond of the business and he is amazing!

Although her watch needed nothing more than a new battery, Mr. Giraldo checked everything out and cleaned it up, inside and out - at no additional charge. Old fashioned service that is rarely seen these days. Al Giraldo is wonderfully easy to work with. I began working with Mr. Giraldo in 2020 while he was dealing with two business challenges that would have been my undoing. As if the Pandemic weren't enough, Al Momentum's shop in Preston Royal was ravaged by the October 2019 tornado that tore through the heart of North Dallas. While the building with his shop is being restored, Mr. Giraldo works out of an apartment across Noel Road from the Galleria, where he meets with customers by appointment in the building's well-lighted lobby with comfortable seating. My two dealings with Mr. Giraldo have been worthy of recommendation. I look forward to benefitting from his craft in the future.

The service here is mediocre at best. I have my business address here, and I have set up automatic…read moreforwarding for a different address. Every 4-6 months I have to call back and ask them to once again forward my mail. Every time they charge my account to forward the mail and tell me that I am now on monthly forwarding, and then 4-6 months later I have to call again. It's the same cycle. And if it wasn't a commute to get there and the address wasn't tied to so many important business accounts, I would no longer have a box here.

Your employee tells me he doesn't know why my box is closed and he can't help me. I will need to go to the Post Office and take it up with them. That guy was such full of crap. I went to the post office and they have nothing to do with my mailbox being closed and since I chose to use a private contractor for my mail service they can't help me with my mail because the independent contractor is the one that send the mail back to the sender, the mail does not go to the post office. I have no idea of they refuse to accept my mail, closed my mailbox. The only thing I could think of is my mailbox rental payment is past due. I paid $75 back in June. I still have not received a bill or a past due notice or any type of correspondence. Now I have a huge issue I need to resolve with my mail. All this could have been avoided if they would have contacted me or put a bill in my mailbox. I would have paid it. They couldn't even discuss it with me when I tried talking to them. They tried blaming it on the Addison Post Office. The guy did ask me if I wanted to get a new mailbox and I almost did. Til I thought about it and decided against it. If they wanted me my business they should have handle my account differently.
