Above and Beyond: Trustworthy, Professional, and Stress-Free Service!…read more As a single elderly woman, when things go wrong in your home--especially electrical problems--it is really stressful. You immediately worry about who you can call and, more importantly, who you can truly trust with your home and safety. I called 5th Generation Electric in Dallas, and from the very first minute, they were genuinely friendly and professional. They were exactly on time, which is so rare these days, and they instantly put me at ease. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue. What impressed me the most was that they did a good job quickly while still taking the time to explain everything in plain language so it was easy for me to follow and understand exactly what work was being done. There was no confusing jargon. This company is truly trustworthy. I felt completely comfortable leaving my home and safety in their hands. The work was done efficiently, the final result was excellent, and the service was reasonably priced. I was very pleased with their work and highly recommend 5th Generation Electric to anyone in the Dallas area looking for an electrical contractor. They deliver professional quality service with a wonderful, reassuring approach, and a friendliness beyond reproach.

Puckett was the best electric company I have ever hired. They asked me a couple of questions about the location and model of the electrical panel and it there was space to add a breaker. Complete incompetence. I specifically looked for an…read moreelectrician in Dallas that could install a Temporary Power pole in Dallas. They said they can do it. Turns out they know nothing about the permit process or how to properly install the pole. The outlets were not attached the line wasn't installed high enough and more fails. On April 2nd we got a Red Tag that cost us $75 that they refuse to re-imburse for. The fail was their fault. We paid for this pole in 2 payments in February that to this day they dispute the 2nd payment. After several onsite visits they finally figured out how to install the pole correctly and we got a Green Tag on May 14th... 3 months later. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME…read more I called originally because I have an issue with my doorbell in my new home and I needed a few things installed (3 ceiling fans, 2 Nest thermostats, 2 Nest CO2 detectors). The supervisor called me back and set an appointment. After waiting for 2 hours after the appointment time, I called them back. Turns out, they had tried ringing my doorbell - the same thing I was having the issue with not working - and they left. After I called the main office, the supervisor (Gerardo) called me back. He tried to reschedule me for a week later! After some dialogue he agreed to come back later that day. When I reminded him of everything that else we had talked about that needed to be installed, he told me that they didn't do Nest thermostats. Why didn't he tell me that in the first place?!? I never would have made the original appointment had I known that. Just an awful, awful experience.
