I never thought I'd say this in regards to lights, but it really is the last place you'll need to look. I called a couple other places and they said they had what I needed, but they didn't sound very certain about it. I needed something very specific - a narrow spot light that was a point source - and they said, "yeah, we have it." Then when I repeated what I needed, she said, "Yeah, we should have something that works." So I called Lights Fantastic and talked to Joe and he said, "I have at least one bulb that fits that description, we definitely have something that will work." So, since I didn't have a lot of time to dilly dally, I went straight to the store. First off, you'll walk into the showroom and it's for all the fixtures. Light fixtures everywhere. I needed the bulb section, so they sent me down the ramp there and in there are just shelves and displays of bulbs. Every bulb you can imagine. For good prices too. We bought some specialty bulbs at Home Depot for $12.99 only to find them here for $8.99. I was amazed. On to the bulb, I needed a point source bulb and I thought I needed a narrow spot, but it turned out that the bulb I chose was a flood. I did need to block out some of the reflector, but the center section was a point source and it fit my application perfectly. We probably looked at about 6 different bulbs before we came across this one and Joe was patient and extremely helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was exactly the help I needed and I got the bulb I needed. You need lights? Fantastic. You've found your place.

Bingo! A light went off in my head! (metaphorically speaking, of course) I'd bought rope lights at Home Depot for years in 25' lengths, mostly for outdoor lighting, but when they burned out over time and I'd go back to replace them, HD had a different supplier and the color wasn't "warm white" but a cold, ghastly "artic" white which didn't match all the other rope lights! (Imagine an incandescent light next to a fluorescent and you get the picture!) I've got a 100' long driveway which is very dark at night and the last thing I want is mis-matched lights guiding me home after a night "out-on-the-town"!! Since I struck out w/HD, I turned to Amazon who not only filled my "warm-white" rope light requirement but their supplier turned out to be (drum roll please....) the largest rope light supplier in North America! I got 150' length of rope lights which usually cost $150 - $200 for only $86! S/H INCLUDED! Now that's a deal! Color me a happy camper! Out of concern, I checked my Account and verified I never signed up for any Notifications and in fact there is not a provision to even sign up for text messages. This behavior is in direction violation of their Privacy Policy. I have emailed 1000Bulbs but so far received a very unsatisfactory response that stated: "reply STOP to messages and text will discontinue." Please note that EVERY SECURITY EXPERT advices: NEVER RESPOND. Mark as Spam and Block. I will update if the company replies with a more appropriate resolution to this dangerous and irresponsible marketing practice.

The new showroom feels like a museum experience. They played great music and the lighting was just perfection. The art that they curated for this was really creative. The large metal Man climbing the rope at the beginning of the entrance was an excellently placed artistic touch. I took so many pictures because it was a draw dropping scene to behold. I'm absolutely excited to bring my clients back. The wood wall vignette was my favorite. Everything in it was gorgeous. They had some really fun fans up that were streamlined and not something I've seen in any other showroom. I like the selection of exquisite lights displayed and also love that they carry the full Hinckley line. Some really innovative and creative items. So on to my experience... It's been a good five years since I've been in this store and I recall them having all types of lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, table lamps and floor lamps. Not so this time. There were two youngish looking girls/women working behind the desk. One was engaged helping an older woman with her design order and even though I patiently stood close waiting for some type of acknowlegement so that I could ask a simple question, this person wouldn't even give me the time of day. Bad experience #1. So off I trot a few steps to the other person behind the counter, who is also helping another customer and didn't look like she was going to be done anytime soon. These people weren't in the process of making purchase transactions where all I would have to do is wait my turn. Noooo, they were deep in conversation. You would think that one of these employees would have enough customer service acumen to at least "acknowledge the customer" and say "Someone will be right with you, ma'am." I had to finally break in and ask if they had any floor lamps. To my dismay, she said they only had maybe 3 in stock but that they had plenty of catalogs if I wanted to place an order. Mmmm, no thanks. Turned out they only had two floor lamps and neither one suited my needs. Plus they were very expensive (upwards of $300!). The place is beautiful inside and if you're building or remodelng a home, this might be the place for you, but I was somewhat put off by their lack of customer service and their steep prices (nothing was marked down or on sale and there was no clearance area). OK, maybe not every store has a clearance area, but in a place this size, you would think that maybe they would have stuff that they're wanting to get rid of marked down in a forgotten corner somewhere. I won't be back.

Carpet doesn't meet the wall in several places. Spoke to contractor who told me to contact Kindel for a service call & repair. Kindel wasn't friendly at all, from the moment I met her at the door you could tell that she was displeased to have to come out and look at the issue. I told her of several issues, one of them being that the tacks were sticking up around almost every edge of the carpet and we were constantly stepping on them. She said, and I quote, "oh, you can just get a hammer and tap those in." Excuse me?! NO, you can have your guys hammer them in. Seriously, do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. We will be replacing the carpet and padding within the next year in our brand new home.
