This time, I went back with a couple of friends and decided to give it another shot--and I'm really glad I did! The Chicken Fajitas were a 10/10 and easily some of the best fajitas I've had in a long time! We originally came in to try the fun shaved ice drinks we had seen all over their socials. Mine was delicious, but it very clearly had less than my friends' drinks ~ at least an inch from the rim while theirs were overflowing. Definitely gave us a good laugh, but when you're paying almost $10 per drink, it's something worth noting. Our server was great, especially considering she was new, and she kept us updated throughout the meal. Apparently, the bartender had called off, which caused the drinks to take a little longer than usual, but we appreciated her communication and transparency. Overall, the food was definitely a win this time around, and I'm happy I gave Sangrita another chance! That said, it probably won't become my go-to spot since you can find equally delicious food and drinks elsewhere with more options for not as expensive. Still, I'm glad I gave it another shot as the restaurant is beautiful and the food and drinks came out just as gorgeous!

We ordered the mixed meat fajitas, which were excellent, but the standout for us was the carne en su jugo. It's a rich, flavorful soup/stew that's unlike anything you'll find at most Mexican restaurants. The bacon crumble added the perfect savory touch and really made the dish memorable. The margaritas were equally impressive--well-balanced, high quality, and clearly made with care. From the atmosphere to the presentation and pricing, it's obvious that Casa Santa is aiming for a more elevated dining experience than your average local Mexican spot. If you're looking for something beyond the standard Tex-Mex menu, this is definitely a restaurant worth trying. We'll absolutely be back to explore more of the menu.

We decided to stay in and order DoorDash tonight, and unfortunately my chicken quesadilla completely missed the mark. One bite in, and I immediately knew something was off. The chicken had an unpleasant taste that honestly made me question whether it was fresh. I couldn't even finish the first bite. I tried a different piece of my quesadilla and the same rubbery, disgusting taste - out right awful. Unfortunately, there are no photos because the meal was over for me the moment I tasted it. To be fair, the loaded fries were still delicious (and remain my favorite item on the menu), and my husband's quesadilla was perfectly fine. What started out looking like a great meal quickly went downhill when I tried mine. If you've read my reviews before, you know I don't often leave negative feedback, which is why this experience stands out. I've had great experiences at another Tequila Sunrise location in the area, but this time really missed the mark and left me extremely disappointed.
