Seven years ago, I gave this place a 1-star review on Yelp because our server dumped an entire tray of ice water glasses on me, without discounting our bill in any way. That was a long time ago, and my clothes have dried-off since then. Our dinner last night was really good. I've been to practically every Mexican restaurant in Indiana at least once, and they all tend to become the same place after a while, but the fajitas last night were outstanding. And, no one drenched me in 50 gallons of water, so I'm putting this in the "win" column. -Redeemed. read more

The food at Toros truly is some of the best Mexican you'll find anywhere around. The staff is really nice too... it's obviously a great place to work because the same waiters have been there for years and they recognize my family and I as regulars, too. The restaurant is in a great location and is always clean and busy but never have to wait more than a few minutes even at peak times because they have plenty of tables and staff. I truly only have one complaint and that's cost. I've watched the prices creep up over the years on our favorite items. I'd still say it's worth it per se, but it has made us venture out to try other less expensive Mexican restaurants more often. But we do always come back to the tried and true, eventually. read more

They have the best chiles poblanos I've had in Indiana and the service was fast and attentive too.

Service was fantastic. It was quick and the server was friendly and as attentive as we wanted. The food also arrived very promptly and was pipping HOT! The outside and inside of the restaurant was very clean, which impressed me. It was spacious enough you definitely didn't feel like you were sitting on the other tables laps. The Arroz con Pollo was a huge portion and tasted great. The fajitas were really good too. The chicken tasted great and love when it comes out with some "sizzle!" The chips and salsa were okay. The chips tasted a little hard, not sure if stale or not. Also, I ordered a Ultimate Marg and honestly, it want the best. That's the reason for the , & not the 5. My husband I both got the burrito loco and it did not disappoint! It had a ton of chicken and steak in it! The burrito is huge! You definitely get your moneys worth on this burrito! Newer to the area and two of us for dinner. The food was fine. Service was very fast. Oddly tho they only use green bell pepper and we don't eat that in Fajitas so had to order something else. One of us had the Fajita burrito (no green pepper) the other had chicken enchilada vedas and both were good. Not as good as The Red habanero, but it was not a place I would not go back to for sure. We came to Noblesville to visit family and went to dinner at The Toros. It was fantastic. The variety was expansive. They had something for everyone. They had the biggest margaritas I have ever seen. There is always a nice little crowd of cars around The Toros and the girls next door recommended lunch. We stopped for early Sunday lunch and we pretty much had the dining room to ourselves. We were seated quickly and water, chips and salsa arrived quickly at the table. The service is fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the shrimp taco salad and my daughter ordered the traditional taco salad. The shrimp salad comes with a generous portion of grilled shrimp, grilled onions and peppers - like a fajita. The shrimp were plump with a hint of lime. They were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. The salad was filling and the tortilla shell bowl was crispy and tasty. My daughter enjoyed her salad as well. The salads were $11 each. The restaurant is in a newer strip mall. The dining room is clean and decorated typical mid western Mexican - I wouldn't say upscale. We had a really nice carry out experience today. I placed a large order for pick up, and was quoted a pickup time of 15 minutes. The order was ready right on time, neatly packed into several large bags. We had ordered a variety of items including chicken fajitas, veggie fajitas, shredded chicken quesadillas, steak tacos, ground beef chimichanga, quesadilla Vallarta grilled chicken, and large cheese dip. This is not a place to travel to, but if in the area... gets the job done of a quick, filling dinner. Arroz con Pollo was about $16, and came with a side of tortillas. It was cheesy and filling. I would get the tilapia fish tacos again. It was about $13 and came with a nice spicy sauce, just a basic street taco with cilantro and onion. Hate to say this will be my last time here. Food is good. Service is good. But this time, the actual first time I looked at my check before I paid. I noticed the prices on the menu are, in my case, 20% lower than what I was charged. My chorizo and eggs, the same thing I order every Sunday I come here, is now $12.99. I'm fine with the increase in prices I understand now days. It's the fact no one said anything about it and now I think back to all of the times I did not look at my check because I was with a group or other and I wonder if those prices were also inflated. This is the first time I came to brunch by myself and for some reason I looked at the check this time. I did bring it up to the cashier and they did say they would let the manager know. I still paid what was on my check. Because it's not about the $2. It's about the principal. All I am saying is double check your check before you pay. read more

I love eating at Los Torros! Great service. The staff is always friendly and ready to deal with whatever is being thrown at them. I got the chicken quesadillas. It's simple, yet very tasty and is a fan favorite. As well as their queso. We used some of their coupons that we received in the mail which made the night even better. I'm always up for some 'authentic' Mexican, so when I was on the northside with some friends, this was an easy decision to try for dinner. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night, but we easily found an open table at the bar. We were immediately brought the usual chips and salsa that is customary at most Mexican restaurants. However, at this restaurant each of us was given our own personal bowl of salsa, which was nice. The drink special of the night was a 32 oz Coors light for $4.75. They also have several types of margaritas and other beer options. The menu had multiple different entree options -- all the usual finds. I ended up getting the "hot & spicy burrito" which was a burrito stuffed with chicken, beans and rice with shredded beef, salsa and cheese on top. The burrito was huge, and I was full after eating half of it. It was also quite flavorful and paired well with the complimentary chips and salsa. Although I enjoyed it, I would definitely want to try one of the other entrees when I come back. But the food is your typical Midwestern Mexican food fare. If you read my other reviews of Indiana Mexican food restaurants, you'll know that almost no restaurant in this great state understands the concept of a burrito without sauce on top. Like, none -- and The Toros is yet another one. It's getting to the point where I'm going to start showing the servers a picture from my phone of a burrito, and I'll hold it up and be like, "Can you just make me something that looks like this? With just beans, rice and cheese inside?" Invariably, they'll put sauce on top, because the people in the kitchen refuse to believe that anyone would want a burrito without that viscous, white cheese sauce covering it. So, I tried ordering a burrito, but the server kept asking me if the sauce should go on top. This was our conversation for an awkward 30 seconds: Him: So cheese on the top? Me: No, put the cheese INSIDE the burrito. Shredded cheese. Not cheese sauce. Him: But cheese on the top too? Me: No, no cheese on top. Inside. Inside the burrito. Him: So no cheese on top? Jimeny Christmas. Then I was told that they can't make a burrito with rice inside. Da Fuq? So I had to tell them: Just give me a bean burrito WITH NO SAUCE ON OR IN IT, and then give me a side of rice. I had to make my own burrito at the table. So that was my visit. First day in Indy visiting my Parents, we went to Toros since it was the only thing that can accommodate us late at night. This places was a disappointment from the staff hospitality to the taste of the food. We spend over 200 dollars since we were a group of 13 and will not go to this place again. From the Fajitas been bland to the fish tacos only having tortilla and fish only, no lettuce or nothing. Do yourself a favor and potentially tried other spots in the area. read more

Been here a few times and will keep coming back! Great Mexican food and margaritas! I've had the steak tacos which is topped with cilantro and onions and a yummy spicy red sauce, the pollo Toluca- chicken chorizo and grilled onions smothered in queso, and the a fajita inspired dish. All have been solid and tasty. This reminds me a lot of Lucianas food for those who have had the pleasure of dining there. This place cracked me up from the start, bc it's called "The Toros" instead of the more authentic sounding, Los Toros. But it is an authentic Mexican restaurant, was extremely busy Friday night with no parking and then a wait inside, which was a bit shocking to me honestly. The food is the best part for sure, the free chip and salsa are delicious here. Me and my friends are picky about that so that was nice The vegetarian options are a bit slim compared to other Mexican restaurants which was also surprising. I ended up getting the choose 3 veggie option. 1 bean burrito and 2 cheese enchiladas with a side of beans, normally comes with rice but they substituted it. The wait was a bit long for food and then when it was finally brought he forgot one of the enchiladas I ordered and also didn't put Queso sauce on my bean burrito like I'd asked. So he realized he messed up and fixed that pretty quick. Other than that it was a good visit. My partner ordered mahi mahi tacos which u get 3 and came with side of rice and beans. He loved how fresh they tasted and there was a decent amount on each taco too. In total my bill was only around $25 which is decent for Mexican restaurants. Great cheap Mexican spot. Per the usual Mexican restaurant the menu is quite large. We ordered two on the rocks house margs for $11 each. They use a premix marg mix, so be prepared for a sugar/sour rush. For food, I ordered the combo, which is on the back of the menu. It's on the lunch specials but you can order it anytime! You can pick one or two options which are served with rice and beans. I choose the chicken chalupa and chicken enchilada. Both were what you would expect! The chalupa isn't like your Taco Bell order. This is more similar to a tostada. My boyfriend ordered the chorizo tacos. He said they were great! They weren't greasy as some chorizo tacos can get. My young son and I were completely ignored while dining in this restaurant today for an early dinner. We were there at 4:30 with an almost empty restaurant. Despite this, the male server was not at all interested in checking on us even once to refill drinks or get the bill and he also got our order drink wrong. Then, we waited for over 15 minutes just to get the check--he never came back so I had to flag down another server to help us. I have no doubt it was due to me being a single woman dining with a child alone- every other table in the restaurant got more attentive service. Absolutely unacceptable! We will not be returning. We are regulars here because it's so close to home. The food, atmosphere and price are great. We're always seated quickly, served chips and salsa that are always tasty and we never have empty glasses. My favorite dish is the burrito loco, amazing! This time I got the Pablo's burrito, it was outstanding!!! The chorizo is s pleasant addition. My wife had the enchiladas verdes, which she always gets and it's wonderful every time. The last two times I've ordered curbside through ChowNow they've made me come in to pick up the order. That's not acceptable since I had already tipped for curbside and I am very reluctant to go inside a restaurant where people are eating and not wearing any kind of face covering. And in this most recent not curbside order (it was but they weren't even answering the phone so you had to go in) the order was wrong as indicated in the pictures. Also... no rice and beans... Looking for a Mexican restaurant that serves quality food, this is the place. Their food isn't cheaply made, and is full of great taste. Prices aren't too bad--two can eat well for less than $40 and you can find coupons online. The queso is delicious, however some items are described not to have guacamole but do indeed come with it. My husband and I live walking distance from this restaurant and I would like to think we are Mexican restaurant experts...Needless to say, we have found our favorite go-to Mexican. The food is authentic and very affordable. The staff is attentive and service is great! The chips are served warm & we love that we each get our own salsa because it's too good to share!
