Very dark dingy atmosphere especially in the bar. Soccer is always on wich is for employees not customers. Tvs very old no windows no fun. Food less than average all tastes the same have major problems with management and staff. Communication breakdown. Staff sits in bar eating completely unapproproite! They need their own break room! Servers are very hard to understand frequently orders are not correct, but all food tastes the same any way. We recently moved to the area and haven't yet tried out an authentic Mexican place. Well... we used a delivery service to order from one, but wasn't impressed and delivery isn't the same. LOL. Anyway - our family is full of Mexican food lovers. And we really, really liked this place! My husband was very impressed and that says a lot. My husband got the fajita quesadilla and loved it. We got a small bowl of queso and it was delish. My son got French fries and I didn't expect much but they were the good kind. Super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For a basket of fries for less than $2, they were practically gourmet. I got the dish that has rice and chicken and is covered in cheese sauce. It comes with tortillas on the side. I asked for corn tortillas instead like I do every other place I go. Other places always forget and then it takes forever to bring the correct ones. This place brought me the correct ones on the first try! I do wish my dish had sour cream or guac or lettuce or something cold with it to complete the little tacos, but whatevs. Also, our food was FAST. Just moved from Chicago and really want to find a good Mexican restaurant. No frills, nothing fancy- just good food and margaritas. This is the first place we have tried so I can't say it's the best (yet) but it was pretty good! We all left happy with our meals and margs! The queso was a bit runny but some actually prefer that so no complaints. It's super kid friendly which is great because we have a toddler that enjoys being loud and can be distracting but when there were multiple other families, it didn't seem to matter! The service was a little slow, which for a toddler isn't ideal, but it wasn't anything crazy and once we asked for our check we were out of there quickly. We will def be back!! read more

I got 1 tamale while I waited for my take out taco salads. Sauce was good. Firmness of the tamale was good. The shredded beef inside was dry, dry, dry! Ground beef taco salad was alright. A lot of beef. Menu said beans but there wasn't any on either salad. Hardly any lettuce cheese or tomatoes. Service sucked even though every server I interacted with was very nice. read more

Los Toros serves good food at a decent price. My personal favorite in the Carmel/Westfield area. We've been here several times & haven't had a bad experience. The hosts & servers are always friendly & prompt...I've rarely had to ask for a refill. I love the Burrito Choris! Almost addicted to it. They have many meals with actual steak for the beef, not just ground beef (though that is an option). Traditional chips & salsa are plentiful & pretty good. Seating is good & you do not feel crowded. They have several booths large enough to sit 6 adults comfortably which is nice to find in any restaurant. They have several TV's (usually showing sports) but the atmosphere is not loud at all which is something I really look for when dining out. read more

Most times we go there is a wait so we clearly aren't the only people who are fans. Food is everything you want from a Mexican place assuming you are still hungry after all the chips. I can't tell you how many times we've ordered takeout from here. We always go for the Texas Parilla for two. It actually feeds three, sometimes four if you really need to stretch it. Another favorite is the chicken chilaquiles. The salsa is so fresh, we always ask for extras! It's usually packed on any weekend night, so that's why we often go for the take-out option. I ordered two enchiladas one beef and one chicken with cheese sauce on the top and a side of rice. It was delicious and even though my exact order wasn't on the menu the waiter was more than happy to accommodate my order. We also ordered chicken steak and shrimp fajitas. The chicken was by far the best, shrimp and steak were still very good and I recommendation worthy. The chicken just stood out. It was very tender and full of flavor. Admittedly this is the better of the Mexican restaurants I have frequented in the Noblesville area. The atmosphere is south of border with decent Latin music plying in the background. We had a party of 8 and had plenty of room. Service was very on the spot and the waiter would check in with us through out the meal. Speaking of meal, we started off with the usual chips and a mild salsa, and I ordered a large Guacamole that was very large. It was prepared a bit different as it was more of a chopped avocado then a mashed variety, but very pleasant flavor with cilantro mixed in. I went with a Chile Verde that came with beans and rice. The Chile was a bit heavy on the tomatillos and light on the Chile Peppers; however, an amazing amount of very tender pork with the plate. Great presentation of the plates and serving size won't disappoint. One epic meal was the Molcajete which was presented in a stone bowl shaped like a bull, could be identified as a pig as well. It was piled high with shrimp, chicken, steak, a variable grilled garden of Mexican veggies, and plenty of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa: A Mayan train-wreck of sorts. One interesting note is I believe they heat the stone bowl in actual lava as that sucker stayed hot until dessert. When they say "Careful hot plate" they ain't play'en. I'll return and try various other plates in the future and see if I can raise this to a 5 star. read more

The restaurant is located between the Original Pancake House and The Local, in a strip mall just north of 146th Street at Gray, and very easy to miss if you're not sure where to find it. The inside is clean, with lots of big comfortable booths and your basic orange/yellow/cattle theme color scheme. With pretty much the same menu that you will find at Indy area El Jaripeos and El Rodeo restaurants, Los Toros in Westfield delivers your basic Americanized Mexican fare. Chips and salsa were promptly delivered to the table within moments of our arrival. I liked that they brought the salsa in a little carafe along with 2 bowls, so we could pour a little into one bowl and mix it with the hot sauces on the table, and leave the rest mild for those in our group who are salsa wusses. The chips were fine, warm and crispy but nothing special. Same for the salsa, it served its purpose but did not stand out. My margarita was fine, nothing special and a little weaker than what I usually have at the Westfield El Jaripeo. The rest of our group was excited to see that they have Negro Modelo on tap here, and took advantage of their special pricing for 32 oz drafts. My Enchiladas Suizas was 3 cheese enchiladas smothered in chile verde sauce with soft chunks of pork. It was very tasty, with a nice mix of tangy sweetness and spice in the sauce. The pork was tender and flavorful. The beans and rice on the side were flavorless on their own, and greatly benefited from the presence of the chile verde sauce. According to my dining companions, the chicken fajitas were good with lots of pieces of chicken and fresh tasting vegetables. Chimichanga and flautas were just ok. Service was pretty good, coming by a few times to check on us while we ate, and then after clearing the table they left us in peace for awhile as we talked with our friends. We were not rushed or made to feel like we were unwelcome as we stayed an hour after we finished our meal. By this time, the restaurant was almost empty but still an hour away from closing time. I'd go back with groups and family, but not if I'm looking for something new or inspired. read more

The other Mexican Restaurants around the area seem to boil the meat which leaves it chewy. This place grills the steak. I leave with the bill around $11 (tacos and tea) and a full tummy.
