First time here. I ordered the #11 lunch special, a hot and spicy burrito. It was quite large, especially for a lunch special! It was filled with chicken, Beef, beans and rice, covered with salsa, cheese and sour cream. It was quite delicious. (The picture I have included does not do it justice. I had begun adding and smearing things all over it!) It was a great first experience at The Toros. I enjoyed the place. My only complaint (and not a big one) is it wasn't very spicy. I would have enjoyed a spicier burrito. Well worth checking it out. read more

THE BEST!! My family and I have been going to The Toros for years. It is consistently always amazing. The food is delicious, whether eating in person or carrying out. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. I don't want to admit how often we eat here, but it is, by far, the most authentic and delicious food in the area! read more

The best place to get authentic mexican food in hamilton county. The staff is super friendly, service is quick. If there are big parties the staff may be a little distracted, but that's reasonable because anyone would be distracted if you have a 10 top. Great food and lots of options. read more

Very dark dingy atmosphere especially in the bar. Soccer is always on wich is for employees not customers. Tvs very old no windows no fun. Food less than average all tastes the same have major problems with management and staff. Communication breakdown. Staff sits in bar eating completely unapproproite! They need their own break room! Servers are very hard to understand frequently orders are not correct, but all food tastes the same any way. I think they are able to stay in Business because of the landscaping crowd who box me in with their trucks. Go to Taco Bell please much better food and much nicer people!! read more

Los Toros serves good food at a decent price. My personal favorite in the Carmel/Westfield area. We've been here several times & haven't had a bad experience. The hosts & servers are always friendly & prompt...I've rarely had to ask for a refill. I love the Burrito Choris! Almost addicted to it. They have many meals with actual steak for the beef, not just ground beef (though that is an option). Traditional chips & salsa are plentiful & pretty good. Seating is good & you do not feel crowded. They have several booths large enough to sit 6 adults comfortably which is nice to find in any restaurant. They have several TV's (usually showing sports) but the atmosphere is not loud at all which is something I really look for when dining out. read more

We recently moved to the area and haven't yet tried out an authentic Mexican place. Well... we used a delivery service to order from one, but wasn't impressed and delivery isn't the same. LOL. Anyway - our family is full of Mexican food lovers. And we really, really liked this place! My husband was very impressed and that says a lot. My husband got the fajita quesadilla and loved it. We got a small bowl of queso and it was delish. My son got French fries and I didn't expect much but they were the good kind. Super crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For a basket of fries for less than $2, they were practically gourmet. I got the dish that has rice and chicken and is covered in cheese sauce. It comes with tortillas on the side. I asked for corn tortillas instead like I do every other place I go. Other places always forget and then it takes forever to bring the correct ones. This place brought me the correct ones on the first try! I do wish my dish had sour cream or guac or lettuce or something cold with it to complete the little tacos, but whatevs. Also, our food was FAST. We were there on a week night, but it was decently busy. We were happy with the service. Fast, friendly, good food. My husband was also thrilled that they offer Mr. Pibb as a drink. read more

The best selection, the best service, and the best atmosphere. I am a regular takeout customer and their menu is so well rounded it keeps my interest again and again. The Centenario margarita is great as well as their Mexican beers on draft. Chile Poblanos and all of the Mexican classics are simply the best. Taco selection, fajita selection , enchiladas....all fantastic. Pick a menu item, you cant go wrong. Top notch. read more

Just moved from Chicago and really want to find a good Mexican restaurant. No frills, nothing fancy- just good food and margaritas. This is the first place we have tried so I can't say it's the best (yet) but it was pretty good! We all left happy with our meals and margs! The queso was a bit runny but some actually prefer that so no complaints. It's super kid friendly which is great because we have a toddler that enjoys being loud and can be distracting but when there were multiple other families, it didn't seem to matter! The service was a little slow, which for a toddler isn't ideal, but it wasn't anything crazy and once we asked for our check we were out of there quickly. We will def be back!! read more

Salsa is my speed. Just a little spicy, veggies nice size, salt right on, my nose is sweating just a little. Chips are fine but not REALLY good. I got 1 tamale while I waited for my take out taco salads. Sauce was good. Firmness of the tamale was good. The shredded beef inside was dry, dry, dry! Ground beef taco salad was alright. A lot of beef. Menu said beans but there wasn't any on either salad. Hardly any lettuce cheese or tomatoes. Service sucked even though every server I interacted with was very nice. read more

Back to back times ordering takeout and missing food. Kinda tired and annoyed of this.....

This place is absolutely great. Nice ambiance, very welcoming and attentive staff, and some damn fine food. They actually know how to make queso!! Reasonable prices and it's worth it. Great place and my new to go spot for Mexican food!! Well done!! read more

We've been searching a great mexican place for the last two years we've lived here. After many attempts I think we have found the place! Most times we go there is a wait so we clearly aren't the only people who are fans. Food is everything you want from a Mexican place assuming you are still hungry after all the chips. Because this place can be so busy the service can sometimes be spotty. These guys are hustling though and it's not due to lack of trying to keep up. read more

I ordered the lunch beef fajitas. I did not care too much for the complimentary salsa. The flour tortilla shells were super hot. The beef tasted good. I asked for my omissions of pico, sour cream, etc. and my substitution for rice, which was plain. read more

My family loves coming to Los Toros. It has become our go to Mexican place in the Carmel area. The service has always been good and we enjoy the food. The frozen margaritas aren't too bad either. I've never had a bad experience in over a dozen times or more going to this place over the past couple of years. read more

We come regularly to this place after gym and Zumba on Mondays because is close and we actually call it the Zumbaritas time :) (I know, on Monday don't judge me haha)...food is good, they will sell the normal Tex-Mex style but it is good, tacos are good and of course the margaritas also...a good option nearby read more

It's almost dinner time and I need to feed my family? The Toros. I'm in the mood for a good margarita? The Toros. I just want to go around the corner from home for a bite to eat? The Toros. I can't tell you how many times we've ordered takeout from here. We always go for the Texas Parilla for two. It actually feeds three, sometimes four if you really need to stretch it. Another favorite is the chicken chilaquiles. The salsa is so fresh, we always ask for extras! It's usually packed on any weekend night, so that's why we often go for the take-out option. It never takes longer than 10 minutes before our food is ready for pick up. Bar area is cool and kitschy, and they are packed with everything. Always order a marg and you're good to go! read more

This was a very good mexican place! Staff was friendly, service a little lacking but we thought maybe that was because we were there shortly before they closed, but food was delicious! Best strawberry margarita I've ever had, tasted like fresh strawberries! Guac very fresh. Salsa really good. We'll def be going back again, it's nice to find a good place close by. read more

We were greeted right away when we walked in and seated quickly. We saw they had banana margaritas so we had to choose those. Beware! The smallest they come are 20 oz! It was a lot to drink so we didn't finish them and they were sugary, to be expected with a frozen marg. Our server was fabulous! Got a small order of queso and guacamole which we devoured and I tried the fajita quesadillas with chicken. My typical go to when I go to a Mexican restaurant. It came with two quesadillas that were stuffed to the max! So tasty, but I had to take one home. Everyone here was very pleasant and we enjoyed it. I would definitely stop back in! read more

We live in the apartments near by, so when we're looking for sit down Mexican food - this is our go to place! So close in fact, we walk there, get HUGE margarita's (which we can never finish), then we walk home! Chips and salsa is really good although I've seen previous reviews saying other wise... not sure what chips they're having lol! I usually get the carne asada plate, and my bf gets the mixed fajita plate. We've ALWAYS been happy with our meal, and the service is superb! I'd been craving taquitos for what seemed like eternity, and although no longer on the menu, they brought them out for us! I'm originally from CA, so finding them here in Indy has been difficult, let alone finding good Mexican food. If you're looking for "Tex-Mex" this is NOT the spot to come to. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, great service, and great prices, this is the place to go! We'll definitely be back! read more

It has an attractive appearance with Mexican decor and a nice ambience inside. The menu offers all the usual Mexican dishes. The service was fine, my meal was run-of-the-mill, and I wouldn't say it was anything above average. A convenient location for a quick lunch but not a date night destination. read more

My boyfriend and I tend to be VERY picky with take out food, we normally cook at home but for teacher appreciation week my boyfriend offered to get us lunch. We normally go for Chinese food, but I wanted to get Mexican since I missed it! We tried looking for places around us and this one was the quickest and had an amazing menu! Looked authentic to me, so we ordered and OMG the food is incredible, the portions were UNREAL, normally on any Mexican restaurant they will give you 5 or so shrimps, these place gave us ALL OF THE SHRIMPS and meats, me and my boyfriend got super full and had like a feast in the house. The flavor was amazing, even the vegetables were so perfectly seasoned and they even gave us a salad with REAL avocado. That's just amazing, we are in love with this place and will definitely recommend and go back to it! We ordered fajitas for 2. Thank you for making this day great. read more

Good location and decent Mexican joint. Large menu selection and good drink specials. Parking is easy and there's unlimited chips and salsa.

I've eaten here at least a dozen times and the this place is absolutely clutch! I love the food, friendly service, and atmosphere. The food is consistently delightful, fresh, and served in a flash. I've ordered carry out several times since the COVID-19 situation and they have nailed it each and every time - and my orders are different each and every time. If you are looking for an excellent Mexican salsa you've come to the right place. read more

We love eating here! Close to home. Great food, great portions, fantastic taste! The margaritas are good. Service is superb!

Good dinner again, was in bar area by kitchen so very very loud and lots of breaking glass from throwing beer bottles into garbage. So won't be sitting back there again. Otherwise nice dinner read more

The best darn Mexican food this side of Hamilton County. No seriously. As southern California expats, my family is pretty stingy when it comes to finding quality Mexican food. Los Toros hits the mark every. single. time. We often opt for carry out, which is always prepared super fast and easily ordered on the phone. Try the Texas Parrilla for Two. You'll be loaded up with beef, chicken and shrimp-- lots of shrimp. You will eat for days. Another favorite is the chicken chilaquiles, just big sloppy chicken nachos. You will also eat for days. Pair it with a margarita and you're good to go. They'll also load you up with salsa and chips. A Mexican feast for a decent price= jackpot. read more

This place is a gem!! One of the best Chimichanga's I've had. Great flavor, light and crisp. Friendly and inviting. The food was top notch. Definitely coming back here!!! read more

I love this place. The staff is the best and always get your order right and the food is fantastic! We live right around the corner so we do a lot of carry out, especially with these current times, and the food is ready when they say it will be and waiting for you on a table right when you walk in. read more

Atmosphere is just like any other authentic Mexican restaurant. Food is as well. However I got the Chimichanga which is what I get at every Mexican restaurant and I feel like I usually get more for my money than I did here. Just didn't seem as big as usual. Service was pretty quick however there wasn't anyone tending to the register so we had to wait a bit to pay. A friend of mine who frequents this place says that is how it always is. Never anyone ready to cash you out. Overall good service and food. Would come back. read more

I ordered two enchiladas one beef and one chicken with cheese sauce on the top and a side of rice. It was delicious and even though my exact order wasn't on the menu the waiter was more than happy to accommodate my order. We also ordered chicken steak and shrimp fajitas. The chicken was by far the best, shrimp and steak were still very good and I recommendation worthy. The chicken just stood out. It was very tender and full of flavor. This has been the best Mexican we have tried since moving to the area. Will be back, and soon! read more

The restaurant is located between the Original Pancake House and The Local, in a strip mall just north of 146th Street at Gray, and very easy to miss if you're not sure where to find it. The inside is clean, with lots of big comfortable booths and your basic orange/yellow/cattle theme color scheme. With pretty much the same menu that you will find at Indy area El Jaripeos and El Rodeo restaurants, Los Toros in Westfield delivers your basic Americanized Mexican fare. Chips and salsa were promptly delivered to the table within moments of our arrival. I liked that they brought the salsa in a little carafe along with 2 bowls, so we could pour a little into one bowl and mix it with the hot sauces on the table, and leave the rest mild for those in our group who are salsa wusses. The chips were fine, warm and crispy but nothing special. Same for the salsa, it served its purpose but did not stand out. My margarita was fine, nothing special and a little weaker than what I usually have at the Westfield El Jaripeo. The rest of our group was excited to see that they have Negro Modelo on tap here, and took advantage of their special pricing for 32 oz drafts. My Enchiladas Suizas was 3 cheese enchiladas smothered in chile verde sauce with soft chunks of pork. It was very tasty, with a nice mix of tangy sweetness and spice in the sauce. The pork was tender and flavorful. The beans and rice on the side were flavorless on their own, and greatly benefited from the presence of the chile verde sauce. According to my dining companions, the chicken fajitas were good with lots of pieces of chicken and fresh tasting vegetables. Chimichanga and flautas were just ok. Service was pretty good, coming by a few times to check on us while we ate, and then after clearing the table they left us in peace for awhile as we talked with our friends. We were not rushed or made to feel like we were unwelcome as we stayed an hour after we finished our meal. By this time, the restaurant was almost empty but still an hour away from closing time. I'd go back with groups and family, but not if I'm looking for something new or inspired. read more

We came here 45 minutes before closing on Memorial Day. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Yes, this is a traditional Mexican place but the food was great. We would be willing to trek from Broad Ripple to Carmel for the burritos and service again. read more

Admittedly this is the better of the Mexican restaurants I have frequented in the Noblesville area. The atmosphere is south of border with decent Latin music plying in the background. We had a party of 8 and had plenty of room. Service was very on the spot and the waiter would check in with us through out the meal. Speaking of meal, we started off with the usual chips and a mild salsa, and I ordered a large Guacamole that was very large. It was prepared a bit different as it was more of a chopped avocado then a mashed variety, but very pleasant flavor with cilantro mixed in. I went with a Chile Verde that came with beans and rice. The Chile was a bit heavy on the tomatillos and light on the Chile Peppers; however, an amazing amount of very tender pork with the plate. Great presentation of the plates and serving size won't disappoint. One epic meal was the Molcajete which was presented in a stone bowl shaped like a bull, could be identified as a pig as well. It was piled high with shrimp, chicken, steak, a variable grilled garden of Mexican veggies, and plenty of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa: A Mayan train-wreck of sorts. One interesting note is I believe they heat the stone bowl in actual lava as that sucker stayed hot until dessert. When they say "Careful hot plate" they ain't play'en. I'll return and try various other plates in the future and see if I can raise this to a 5 star. read more

I enjoy the chips and salsa here. Very good (not sweet) tomato taste. Not to hot, just mild...The older I get the milder the salsa needs to be. But any who....I can't steer away from the Taco's de Carne Asada. Three grilled skirt steak taco are the Boss. The other Mexican Restaurants around the area seem to boil the meat which leaves it chewy. This place grills the steak. I leave with the bill around $11 (tacos and tea) and a full tummy. Muy Bueno!!! read more
