Grilled Chicken Fajitas
Dustin C.

Service was fantastic. It was quick and the server was friendly and as attentive as we wanted. The food also arrived very promptly and was pipping HOT! The outside and inside of the restaurant was very clean, which impressed me. It was spacious enough you definitely didn't feel like you were sitting on the other tables laps. The Arroz con Pollo was a huge portion and tasted great. The fajitas were really good too. The chicken tasted great and love when it comes out with some "sizzle!" The chips and salsa were okay. The chips tasted a little hard, not sure if stale or not. Also, I ordered a Ultimate Marg and honestly, it want the best. That's the reason for the , & not the 5. For a $13.00 Marg, I'd expect better. Just didn't taste good and not too much flavor.

Shrimp salad. Very good with lots of perfectly cooked shrimp and grilled onions and peppers.

There is always a nice little crowd of cars around The Toros and the girls next door recommended lunch. We stopped for early Sunday lunch and we pretty much had the dining room to ourselves. We were seated quickly and water, chips and salsa arrived quickly at the table. The service is fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the shrimp taco salad and my daughter ordered the traditional taco salad. The shrimp salad comes with a generous portion of grilled shrimp, grilled onions and peppers - like a fajita. The shrimp were plump with a hint of lime. They were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. The salad was filling and the tortilla shell bowl was crispy and tasty. My daughter enjoyed her salad as well. The salads were $11 each. The restaurant is in a newer strip mall. The dining room is clean and decorated typical mid western Mexican - I wouldn't say upscale. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall They offer lunch specials Monday - Saturday. Good experience. I'll be back.

Tilapia fish tacos

This is not a place to travel to, but if in the area... gets the job done of a quick, filling dinner. Arroz con Pollo was about $16, and came with a side of tortillas. It was cheesy and filling. I would get the tilapia fish tacos again. It was about $13 and came with a nice spicy sauce, just a basic street taco with cilantro and onion. The chips were nice and thick, salsa came in individual ramekins.

Hate to say this will be my last time here. Food is good. Service is good. But this time, the actual first time I looked at my check before I paid. I noticed the prices on the menu are, in my case, 20% lower than what I was charged. My chorizo and eggs, the same thing I order every Sunday I come here, is now $12.99. I'm fine with the increase in prices I understand now days. It's the fact no one said anything about it and now I think back to all of the times I did not look at my check because I was with a group or other and I wonder if those prices were also inflated. This is the first time I came to brunch by myself and for some reason I looked at the check this time. I did bring it up to the cashier and they did say they would let the manager know. I still paid what was on my check. Because it's not about the $2. It's about the principal. All I am saying is double check your check before you pay.

Hot & Spicy Burrito

I'm always up for some 'authentic' Mexican, so when I was on the northside with some friends, this was an easy decision to try for dinner. It was fairly busy on a Saturday night, but we easily found an open table at the bar. We were immediately brought the usual chips and salsa that is customary at most Mexican restaurants. However, at this restaurant each of us was given our own personal bowl of salsa, which was nice. The drink special of the night was a 32 oz Coors light for $4.75. They also have several types of margaritas and other beer options. The menu had multiple different entree options -- all the usual finds. I ended up getting the "hot & spicy burrito" which was a burrito stuffed with chicken, beans and rice with shredded beef, salsa and cheese on top. The burrito was huge, and I was full after eating half of it. It was also quite flavorful and paired well with the complimentary chips and salsa. Although I enjoyed it, I would definitely want to try one of the other entrees when I come back. On the back of the menu, they also had lunch specials (see picture), which would be a nice option for those that work in the area. Fun fact: 'toro' means 'bull' in Spanish!

Loves this restaurant. The staff was so friendly and efficient. No wait at all. Good safety as well. Food was great and oh my was so large. Had a spicy burrito and took half home. Come and support this great place to eat.

Best nachos in town. I have tried a few other menu items but the nachos are by far the best. The service is good and efficient.

I was impressed with how quickly they were able to seat us despite it being so busy in a Saturday night. We managed to snag the only available table out there. Score! They immediately brought us tortilla chips which were still warm and plenty of salsa. Our server was quick to take our order and return with waters. They were able to accommodate my request to make substitutions to my enchiladas. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the overall experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will back this summer to try other items on the menu. An ice cold margarita sounds pretty good...

Updating my review after some recent experiences…read more I've been here with friends several times but our last two experiences were not good. Long wait times for food. Service was very slow. But our most recent experience will probably be our last meal here. A group of 12 came here mid-afternoon on Sunday. Several of us had separate checks. We understood that a 20% tip was to be charged to each check for our large group, however, it was not mentioned by the server. When the server brought the credit card reader several in our group hit the 20% tip button, then another 20% tip was automatically added for the large group. So the 20% tip was added on top of the already tipped price. Besides the tipping issue some of the checks had other errors. One person in our group had a $35 total for a $17 meal. Another had a 53% tip added? Apparently the server was new and she had made some errors. But another employee was not able to figure out how to refund the overcharges. So the members of our group who had been overcharged were told to go to the front and wait for someone to figure out how to process refunds. Two different employees tried to figure out how to refund, finally they said that they would face to wait for the manager. The members of our group had to stand in line in the front until finally a manger came to process the refunds. A 15 minute wait to get their refunds processed. Besides the issue with the overcharges the service was very slow. We waited a long time for our food to come out, and the restaurant wasn't even very busy. We probably won't return, there are many other good Mexican restaurants in Westfield and Carmel.

First off the wait staff is top notch, including several who are quite fun with a great sense of humor. They know how to make it festive! I also opted for additional toppings - lettuce, sour cream and shredded cheese (Soy gringa!). While the Dasher was at the store, they advised me that the restaurant said it will take a little longer than expected and he apologized on their behalf. I'm not sure if it's customary for them to include chips and salsa with every order, but that was a pleasant surprise. My additional toppings were not added to the tacos but came served on the side. The portion sizes were generous for the lettuce, cheese and sour cream. The tacos themselves were flavorful with generous portions of tender meat, and everything tasted fresh. I demolished the rice and beans first. They were really good as well. I will gladly order for them again in the future.

He was very welcoming, friendly, and made me feel right at home! For my cocktail I told him to make me something sweet cute and fruity. Andre made me a delicious cocktail with passion fruit and he officially named it the triple AAA. While I was enjoying my cocktail the other bartender, Alvaro, came up to me and asked for my autograph because he thought I was Queen Latifah lol. Needless to say, I received EXCELLENT service from these two gentleman during my dinner. I ordered the steak tacos with rice and beans along with extra limes. And as you can see in the picture Andre gave me a plethora of limes! Which usually other Mexican restaurants are super stingy. My food arrived fresh, hot and was so flavorful & delicious! My dining experience at Los Arroyos- Carmel was top notch 100/10 thanks to Andre! Los Arroyos is an upscale Mexican restaurant, great for date night or GNO. Parking is always a nightmare in their shared, cramped lot.
