WOW! 2 weeks since a major renovation to an upscale environment and menu. Truly some of the best Charbroiled Pulpo (octopus) I've ever had...and I love that cephalopod. Others had fajitas, a hanging tower of 3 meats and quesadillas. So impressed with the improvements and the high quality Mexican fare. After previously indulging at Verde a few times at their Ironworks location, we trekked over to Fishers to make sure their tequila is just as delicioso! ... and it is!! There are so many wonderful things to say about the higher end dining experience offered at Verde. Their fun and exotic menu items (Octopus and Grasshoppers!), exquisitely crafted cocktails, and a beautiful ambience do tend to call for a higher price point so keep that in mind. Margarita flights, too?! You know I'm all about supporting that! House margs are 50% off on Tues, too! This location is so beautiful as well! The decor, leather seats, and interesting light fixtures create just a beautiful atmosphere. All the dishes are beautifully plated and abundant in color. The margaritas were absolutely perfect! The decor is very nice, the service was adequate. The food was definitely average or below. I've been there twice in the last two weeks and I am not impressed. Most recent visit 7.13.24. It was a Friday night, about 7/7:30. To note: Was going to rsvp a seat on open table, which said 2 hr wait; we called and they said, no waiting! And it was not at all crowded when we got there and we were seated immediately. Our waiter Johnathan was a delight and was great about assisting my friend with gluten and dairy-free needs. Between us (and me not needing to be gluten free), we had chips, salsa, guacamole, cheese dip, shrimp and octopus cerviches, charred avocado, tuna tiradito, the margartia flight and a skinny margartia (or two). The salsa I could drink, the guacamole was excellent and refreshing. my boyfriend had the Beria tacos and I had the lunch taco platter which was shrimp and chicken and they were extremely flavorful and tasty. We've gone to all the Mexican restaurants in this location. We stayed with Verde even though the service was uneven. But this new version of Verde is a disaster. We left after 15 minutes. We had been seated, but the waiters did not acknowledge us at all--no water, no chips, no attempt to see if they could take our order. It seemed there were not enough staff, and those that were there were inadequately trained. Given all the press this restaurant is getting, management should have done a much better job. read more

Stopped at this location for the first time for lunch l. I have visited another location before in Zionsville and this location was much smaller. We were greeted and sat right away. The waiter was very nice and sweet. We ordered from the lunch menu which is much cheaper than the dinner menu. We tried ordering the butternut squash tacos and we were told they no longer had those. The waiter informed us that they recently switched the dinner menu but haven't changed the lunch menu so they do not still serve everything on there. I ordered queso dip and then got the ground beef burrito Mexicano. It was very dry but tasty and it came with queso on the side and it was good when I dipped it. The queso was very good. I love the beautiful decor and despite this location not having the same mood lighting ambiance as the location in zionsville, it is still beautiful and nice place to go for a date, to celebrate, or a nice dinner out. read more

From the food to the service, everything was amazing. We honestly were not expecting much, however once looking over the menu, we knew it was going to be good. I decided to go with the ribeye tacos and it's served with bone marrow and additional toppings. I loved the cheese inside, however I would ask for it without next time. The meat was tender and delicious. The aquachiles were great also, not too spicy but did have a kick. Next time we will try the ceviche. My husband got a wet burrito that he enjoyed. I got their patron margarita to start and it was made exactly how I like em. Not too sour and with OJ to add a bit of sweetness. This is hands down one of my favorite places to go. Their food is always amazing and the service is pretty quick. I recently went there with two other people. We were sat almost immediately and before you know it had chips and salsa at our table. We ordered the the jalapeño margarita and the classic frozen. 10 out of 10 recommend the jalapeño margarita if you are into spicy. It had an amazing kick to it. For dinner, we went with the classic chicken quesadilla. It was bigger than normal which was awesome because I was able to get lunch out of it the next day. The flavors in their food are always delicious. I have never had a bad experience there. Our server was one of the kindest servers I have ever had. I had been looking for birria tacos and it's been hard to find them, especially with the consume sauce that comes with birria tacos, not just verde sauce. I was told that Verde had them so I placed an order to go. I was quite disappointed when I got home to eat them as they were burnt! The shell was truly burnt! I've added a pic. I gave a 3 because the flavor of the meat was good and they did provide the true consume sauce. It also was disappointing because it seemed like they forgot to put the onions and cilantro on them. There was a pile of onions and cilantro under the top taco. I also was surprised at the pricing. My bill was over $30 for the tacos that came with rice. I also got queso and chips which was a very small amount. The pricing would not have bothered me so much if the tacos had been prepared correctly. read more

Located in a strip mall across the street from the Super Target in Fishers, Verde is worth a try for slightly elevated Mexican food from places that begin with "La" . Friends and I tried the Devour menu. This is a mixed review due mostly to the service. Nothing was bad but nothing was great and one of my biggest pet peeves about restaurants/servers is when you ask for something and they charge extra for it, they don't tell you. We all had the chicken tortilla soup and it was quite spicy so we asked for some sour cream. We were not told that a small ramekin of sour cream was 2.00 extra. We also asked for more water because the soup was so spicy. We didn't get any water until we were done with the soup and we were one of 2 tables in the restaurant. We also asked for more salsa and never received it. The chipotle chicken was delicious but the steak tacos were dry. The Texas margarita was okay and my friend did not like the mezcal margarita at all. She took one sip and the waitress never commented on why the glass was full the whole meal. She also kept trying to clear our table and took our chips away before we were done with them. She also took the empty salsa bowls...Not cool at all. The tres leches cake was great. I'm hoping this was a one off experience because I've been to this location a few times and remember everything being really good and no issues of being rushed to finish up. The servers were very nice and attentive and not only the presentation was wonderful, but also the taste of everything was fantastic. I definitely recommend the Piña Carnaval and the Ostiones. Overpriced and overheated -- My wife and I used to live in an apartment near Verde and enjoyed coming quite a bit however this last visit was the opposite. Waitress was extremely slow to get to the table, to the point we had to ask another waitress if she would be taking our orders / helping us. Meanwhile to make matters worse, it felt like 92 degrees outside. However we sat inside and it shockingly felt warmer inside than out. You'd think for the prices they charge on the food they could have the AC on. Overall, probably won't be coming back anytime soon, there are so many more better priced and serviced Mexican restaurants in the area! read more

This is one of my go to restaurants! Chips and salsa is always great! I've honestly never gotten anything that isn't good. I'm always getting the margarita flight! They're all always sooo delicious and allows you to try different falcons. Quesabirrias tacos---delicious! Price point the food is a lil more expensive but it's delicious. The staff are so friendly and do a great job checking in on you throughout the meal. Great customer service! If you're in the fishers area, def go check them out !!! read more

4 stars. Verde has really stepped it up several notches. I was very pleasantly surprised at how they have elevated their menu and presentation. I would recommend sticking with their lunch menu because their dinner price points are almost double. The margarita trio is an excellent value. You get a house, strawberry, and the monthly flavor. This month is pineapple and it was my favorite. Fajitas were cooked perfectly. You get three tortillas, and have to buy more for $1.25. Comes with rice, beans, guacamole, pico, and sour cream. Cheese is an additional charge. Guacamole was delicious. Pico was perfect. Rice was fluffy and delicious. I didn't try the beans, but I heard they are amazing. Finally had the pleasure of checking out one of the Verde restaurants last weekend. I had been crushing on insta posts about this place since moving back to Naptown. It took me over a year to finally get to one but here we are! We originally had plans to reserve a table for 2 at the Indianapolis location, inside Ironworks, however they were full for the Friday night we inquired about so we booked a reservation at the location in Fishers. Never get to drive out to Fishers much, but this restaurant is a gem. So we jumped on the chance. We love our authentic Mexican food, and this is a great menu, lots of drink and food choices. Some typical options ade offered that most Mexican restaurantes in the states have, but if you are adventurous, they have menu options such as whole fish, or octopus to try! I haven't reached that peak of foodie bravery yet but I have a feeling if I did they would knock my socks off! The food came out fast, hot, and ready. Prepared with so much flavor. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa, but thanks to the special Yelp check-in offer, we were also given a complimentary House Dip (cheeses, chilies, and chorizo, I believe). This was addicting. Our drinks were both margaritas but I decided to get mine frozen and it was strawberry. I never hardly drink that much but this was so good reminding me of obviously a slushy and boy did I get full off of that margarita LOL! Just for us "Eyes bigger than my stomach" folks this is that moment. So much yumminess to drink and the appetizers made me only have enough room to take nibbles of the taco salad and the rest I took home for leftovers. I love ordering beef in my taco salads. There beef was cooked to perfection savory, tender, and all the ingredients of my salad, beans, guacamole, etc were just what I had hoped for. My husband ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas, that's typically his go to. Next time I must try some empanadas and I might take a bite on the wild side and try something new! The food was ok, it definitely was not what I expected it to be per the pictures. We had the charbroiled oysters which was basically raw oysters with melted cheese on top. I never had raw oysters and never wanted to have them so I was a little disappointed, and it lacked flavor. No flavor at all. My husband had the birra tacos which he said was good, my daughter had the lamb chops & rice which absolutely loved. I had the 3 way fajitas (shrimp, steak, & chicken). My fajitas were good EXCEPT the steak was sooooo chewy. I asked for medium and they brought out well done. He then brought me out a side of medium steak after I complained but it was still chewy & in edible. I ended up giving the steak to my dogs. The cocktails were really good. Veggies were not abundant but nicely cooked. Chicken was sliced not chunks- larger pieces were a bit dry and needed salt. The steak was "gamey" tasting (I would have swore it was lamb). Tender but not great. Rice and beans were cold. Rice was fine flavored; beans were cold and kinda slimy. Guacamole was excellent! Pico was good. Overall I think the dish could benefit from more sauce so the chicken didn't dry out Carnitas were good. Deep fried pork. Yum! Veggies were roasted well. The frijoles were delicious! Probably the best item we had. And that's it! Price point over $100 before tip. The food is usually pretty good here, but not your typical Mexican. More of a fresh take on a lot of classic Mexican dishes. I got shrimp tacos which had a cabbage base, avocado, and sautéed shrimp. They were very good! The food is pretty expensive here, I paid $16 for only 3 tacos, no side. Margaritas are $15. Keep that in mind when you dine in! Service is typically okay.
