This place has the best salad creations. The food is always fresh and presented well. The portion sizes are huge, you could stretch the salad for 2 meals. This was the first time I tried a smoothie, I tried the Banana Bread one, It was really good. The salad I got was the Brekkie bowl. I added bacon for more protein. It came with goat cheese and everything is bagel seasoning - so amazing!

Haven't been to a Verde in a while and I wanted something on the lighter side. I got a peach salad, one of their seasonal items, and a lemonade, and both were really good! The person behind the counter was super personable too. This was my first time at this Verde, I have been to the King Street location and the airport kiosk and both are REALLY good. Glad I stopped in tonight! J.Ja

When I pulled up to this outlet of the area's salad chain of good repute, I thought it might be drive-through takeout because of the way the road ringed around the little building. It was not, and I had to get out of my car and walk in to get my salad, but it was nonetheless a quick experience, which was on point as I had things to do. The salad was predictably majestic, both in appearance and in substance. Getting things like baked falafel and pecans make it quite substantive, and their ranch dressing is vegan and helps the kale go down. This is a place that offers tons of customization options, plenty of substance for the plant-based diner who wants an actual meal, and distinctive local flavors. And while the overall economic trends are well known, the price here was not the most expensive bowl I've had lately, despite the fact that it was of high quality and there was a good amount of stuff packed in there. I have no complaints.

Absolutely obsessed with the Mesa Verde as a bowl. I love how fresh everything is, made to order (unless you do premade grab and go) and huge portions. If you're eating the bowl right away I recommend getting the dressing mixed in. The staff is incredible! They are all super friendly and very fast. I also reccomend adding an oatmeal cookie to your order, so good.

I stopped in today to check out the new location and it's a great additions to the Mixson neighborhood. My dog groomer is down the street so I dropped off my pup for a trim and picked up lunch. You walk in and go through the line which is standard for fast casual spots. I did a build your own wrap and made my own spicy buffalo chicken. I did romaine, corn, spicy broccoli, jalapenos, chicken, blue cheese, cucumbers, buffalo hot sauce, and vegan ranch. I have to say this was a great lunch and I would order it the same way again. I also picked up a chickpea salad for a friend and was excited to see they have daily soups which I didn't know about.

Staff was awesome and super patient. The space was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Salad options were great, loved the variety of sweet options or more savory. Love the drink selection - a lot more healthy options than most other shops. Great healthy on the go option!

I love verde. Such a nice place to get a quick, healthy bite to eat. My favorite thing to get is the farmers market salad with shrimp or tofu. The dressing is perfect and the shrimp is my favorite. 10/10 everytime.

Brand new location! Great service and fresh quality produce. verde has a wonderful selection of signature creation salads! Will be a go to when I'm downtown needing a salad! Great portion size also!

We were on yelp looking for healthy food options for lunch and saw that Verde opened a spot near park circle!! Woo-hoo! The restaurant was tiny but cute, nice outdoor seating & the staff was very welcoming. The food was excellent! We will be back!

Nice corner table near the window with a very esthetically pleasing view of everything. We started with the PB Marg, which is a passionfruit margarita. So good and it paired well with our meal. What we ordered to share: *Garlic Noodles w/Chicken *Siu Mai Dumplings *Garlic KFC Wings *Phơ Dip Burger Everything was flavorful and delicious! My guest said the wings were the best she's ever had. The dumplings with the chili sauce...Major Yes!! My favorite was the burger. The combination of the burger with the phơ was amazing!! A huge shotout to our waiter, Graham, who gave the most incredible customer service! We loved everything!

There is a good amount of seating inside, although it is not a gigantic space. Our server was very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. My friends and I got the OG Garlic Noodles, Viet Cajun Spice Bag, and Hot & Spicy Chicken Noodles. I specifically ordered the Viet Cajun Spice Bag which was essentially a brown paper bag filled with tater tots, fried chicken bits, onions, and shishito peppers. It was better than what I was expecting. The seasoning reminded me of what is used in Taiwanese popcorn chicken... which I love. It is quite heavy as the main part of the dish is starch, but definitely tasty. I got to try a bit of my friends' OG Garlic Noodles and Hot & Spicy Chicken Noodles. Both of them were also bursting with flavor, so this spot definitely gets that part right! I will say that we were told that their pho is only available on Wednesdays, which was a bummer as my friends really wanted some broth the day that we went. Also, they ran out of buns in the middle of the day which prevented me from trying one of their burgers (although buns did arrive a while after we sat down). Just interesting to note. If I could, I would probably rate this place a 3.75/5 stars. I need to try some of the other items on their menu, such as their noodle broth soups, to be able to make a more sound judgement.

We didn't invite the whole crew because I've learned that my friends don't enjoy large groups for brunch, lunch or dinner. Everyone gets impatient! So we kept it a secret and only three of us headed downtown for brunch. We were sat in the first booth/table right in front of the hostess stand. Just on the other side of the wall was the bar area that has the beautiful moving flowers. It's definitely a show stopper and photos and boomerang videos are a must! Since we had all looked at the menu, we came in with a plan for apps, but we were still up in the air on entrees. After ordering some Prosecco, we ordered their peaches, tomatoes, and burrata. My last brunch with burrata downtown CHS was at Sorelle. So I immediately compared the two and felt Sorelle won. I also found the peaches and tomatoes both to be mealy. And it was peaches and tomato season, so that was disappointing. The second appetizer we shared was the hot blue crab dip. The first bite of the dip was delicious. It's served hot and there is lots of blue crab. My downfall with this dish is for $26 they serve the dip with flimsy tortilla chips. I'm sorry, but for $26 and a hearty dip, you've got to give me toast points. Buttery, warm, toasted French bread would be perfect! After debating between their wagu smashburger and the short rib hash, the server steered me to the hash. And I'm super glad she did! That was the best bites of the day!! I love sauces and this was served with two. Both delicious. The eggs were cooked perfect and the short rib and potatoes were both great. I was stuffed and didn't even put a dent in the plate! My friends ordered the Shakshouka and their Benedict. I didn't try either of their entrees, but they both didn't love their choices. I'm glad my hash was excellent or this could have turned into a big birthday bust! Since it was my birthday the server had the kitchen prepare us a dessert. It took some time because it was the chocolate mousse cake I believe and it came out pipping hot! I was too full and only had one bite, but it was very sweet gesture. We don't dine downtown a ton. When we do we like to try new spots, so we won't rush back to the Select. But it was a good start to my birthday celebrations!

Just like the ATL location, the vibe was pretty and floral and the food was yummy. I hadn't had brunch there before, so this visit was still a treat. And the service was great, even with our larger party. I will note that the wheelchair and handicap accessible parking isn't right near the entrance, which almost made us choose another restaurant once we saw that we'd have to park in the garage or across the street.

Immediately when you walk in, it's SO cute. They have Filipino goodies everywhere as decor, sauces, food, little things to look at and the whole space is just beautiful. We did Kamayan Sundays, which is basically a Filipino feast where you eat with your hands. The pictures will explain it better than I can We were first served shots with a little banana ketchup in them, which was VERY unique! Then came the sinigang soup, and OMG. It was warm, delicious, and really hit the spot. I love when my sinigang is SOUR, and this one definitely delivered. Then our feast came out on banana leaves and the presentation was beautiful! We had pancit, shrimp curry, lechon, chicken adobo, lumpia, and longanisa. The lechon skin had that perfect crunch, and the lumpia was SO good. Honestly, everything was delicious. There were four of us and we really tried our best to finish everything. For dessert, we had a pineapple ginger sorbet, which was exactly what I needed after that huge meal. So refreshing! Chef Nikko also made a coconut drink for my sister and her husband, and the cocktails were so fun too. The whole experience was just such a good time. Also... I'm pretty sure the bathroom had a disco ball? LOL. Definitely a spot to stop by if you're in Charleston! Thank you, Chef Nikko, for taking such good care of us!

But people from other parts of the country, primarily may associate CHS with Low Country food like Shrimp & Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes and She Crab Soup. S&S is a modern, creative, vegetable and fruit-focused Shareable Plate restaurant. A cool take on Farm to Table. You'll also find some seafood, chicken and meat dishes. It was so hot during our visit, that an imaginative menu with lighter high quality ingredients was welcome. I love that Charleston has a West African restaurant. It's a refreshing change from the other restaurants in Charleston. I came without a reservation and was seated immediately in the outdoor shaded tent. It had a fan running so I never felt hot and it also helped to keep the flies away. My server was nice and made sure to check in on me pretty frequently. I got the Egusi soup with jollof rice. I'm Nigerian so I try to eat at African restaurants whenever I get the chance and visually this was probably the best plated traditional African food I've seen. The Egusi and fufu were amazing. The small house sits in an area that's a little unexpected for a dining destination, parking is scarce, and at first glance you're not quite sure what you're walking into. That said, we had heard great things about the food and decided to give it a shot. Once inside, things quickly started to make sense. Anita greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. From where we sat, it appeared the dining room only seats about twelve guests. There may be additional seating elsewhere, but the space felt intimate and personal, like your in a friends dining room. The drink options are limited to juices, though we were perfectly happy sticking with water. Anita was fantastic about answering questions and helping us understand the dishes and their spice levels. We decided to share everything so we could try as much as possible. We started with the Suya Skewers, and they were fantastic. The seasoning was spot on and the beef was incredibly tender--each bite practically melted in your mouth. Next came the Mafe Peanut Stew and... holy cow. Absolutely delicious. Rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The portions here are generous, which made sharing easy and let us really enjoy the dish. Our final entrée was the Thieboudien, a beautiful grouper fillet served with vegetables and jollof rice. Another wow moment. The fish was perfectly cooked and the flavors throughout the dish were outstanding. We couldn't resist ordering a side of Ripe Plantains, and we're so glad we did. They were cooked perfectly--sweet, caramelized, and quite possibly the best plantains we've ever had. Bottom line: if you're willing to step a little outside your comfort zone and you love truly outstanding food, this is absolutely a place worth trying. They have limited space inside with just one two top table and three tables outside to eat at. I thought it was very unique that they had so many free samples to try! Their dips are superb with the cannoli dip being the best thing I tried during my visit. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan sandwich, the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich, and the Ruben which was on special. They had a lot of orders to fill and the wait for food was a bit long. I did not mind waiting as I was in no rush. But this would definitely not be the best place to go if you needed food quickly. Overall the reason for 4 stars comes down to the grease level. I got to eat my Ruben fresh and the bread was pretty soft from the amount of oil used. I also wish there was more sauerkraut to add some levity to the sandwich. A Ruben is a hearty sandwich however I am used to more contrasting flavor from the sauerkraut, cheese, and sauce. In my opinion this sandwich was oily, salty, and bland. The eggplant Parmesan was bursting with flavor and while also oily had some nice light flavor from the pesto. The eggplant however was completely mush. I wish the eggplant still had some texture. There was no crunch from the eggplant cutlets. The sandwich could have used something like fresh tomato slices to add a variety of texture to the sandwich. The buffalo chicken sandwich was the best of the sandwiches in my opinion as the raw veggies provided some lightness and texture to complement the fried chicken patty. It is amazing that their fried chicken patty is house made and helps explain the fairly high cost of the meal. We enjoyed the Apple cider donuts for dessert. They were soft and cakes with the appropriate amount of cinnamon sugar on the outside. Overall I would come back to this business but I would ask more questions around which meal options would be the lighter menu choices. The amount of grease I consumed was challenging on my stomach and I think there are other menu options worth trying.
