When I pulled up to this outlet of the area's salad chain of good repute, I thought it might be drive-through takeout because of the way the road ringed around the little building. It was not, and I had to get out of my car and walk in to get my salad, but it was nonetheless a quick experience, which was on point as I had things to do. The salad was predictably majestic, both in appearance and in substance. Getting things like baked falafel and pecans make it quite substantive, and their ranch dressing is vegan and helps the kale go down. This is a place that offers tons of customization options, plenty of substance for the plant-based diner who wants an actual meal, and distinctive local flavors. And while the overall economic trends are well known, the price here was not the most expensive bowl I've had lately, despite the fact that it was of high quality and there was a good amount of stuff packed in there. I have no complaints.

Absolutely obsessed with the Mesa Verde as a bowl. I love how fresh everything is, made to order (unless you do premade grab and go) and huge portions. If you're eating the bowl right away I recommend getting the dressing mixed in. The staff is incredible! They are all super friendly and very fast. I also reccomend adding an oatmeal cookie to your order, so good.

I stopped in today to check out the new location and it's a great additions to the Mixson neighborhood. My dog groomer is down the street so I dropped off my pup for a trim and picked up lunch. You walk in and go through the line which is standard for fast casual spots. I did a build your own wrap and made my own spicy buffalo chicken. I did romaine, corn, spicy broccoli, jalapenos, chicken, blue cheese, cucumbers, buffalo hot sauce, and vegan ranch. I have to say this was a great lunch and I would order it the same way again. I also picked up a chickpea salad for a friend and was excited to see they have daily soups which I didn't know about.

Staff was awesome and super patient. The space was clean and aesthetically pleasing. Salad options were great, loved the variety of sweet options or more savory. Love the drink selection - a lot more healthy options than most other shops. Great healthy on the go option!

I love verde. Such a nice place to get a quick, healthy bite to eat. My favorite thing to get is the farmers market salad with shrimp or tofu. The dressing is perfect and the shrimp is my favorite. 10/10 everytime.

We were on yelp looking for healthy food options for lunch and saw that Verde opened a spot near park circle!! Woo-hoo! The restaurant was tiny but cute, nice outdoor seating & the staff was very welcoming. The food was excellent! We will be back!

We didn't invite the whole crew because I've learned that my friends don't enjoy large groups for brunch, lunch or dinner. Everyone gets impatient! So we kept it a secret and only three of us headed downtown for brunch. We were sat in the first booth/table right in front of the hostess stand. Just on the other side of the wall was the bar area that has the beautiful moving flowers. It's definitely a show stopper and photos and boomerang videos are a must! Since we had all looked at the menu, we came in with a plan for apps, but we were still up in the air on entrees. After ordering some Prosecco, we ordered their peaches, tomatoes, and burrata. My last brunch with burrata downtown CHS was at Sorelle. So I immediately compared the two and felt Sorelle won. I also found the peaches and tomatoes both to be mealy. And it was peaches and tomato season, so that was disappointing. The second appetizer we shared was the hot blue crab dip. The first bite of the dip was delicious. It's served hot and there is lots of blue crab. My downfall with this dish is for $26 they serve the dip with flimsy tortilla chips. I'm sorry, but for $26 and a hearty dip, you've got to give me toast points. Buttery, warm, toasted French bread would be perfect! After debating between their wagu smashburger and the short rib hash, the server steered me to the hash. And I'm super glad she did! That was the best bites of the day!! I love sauces and this was served with two. Both delicious. The eggs were cooked perfect and the short rib and potatoes were both great. I was stuffed and didn't even put a dent in the plate! My friends ordered the Shakshouka and their Benedict. I didn't try either of their entrees, but they both didn't love their choices. I'm glad my hash was excellent or this could have turned into a big birthday bust! Since it was my birthday the server had the kitchen prepare us a dessert. It took some time because it was the chocolate mousse cake I believe and it came out pipping hot! I was too full and only had one bite, but it was very sweet gesture. We don't dine downtown a ton. When we do we like to try new spots, so we won't rush back to the Select. But it was a good start to my birthday celebrations!

Just like the ATL location, the vibe was pretty and floral and the food was yummy. I hadn't had brunch there before, so this visit was still a treat. And the service was great, even with our larger party. I will note that the wheelchair and handicap accessible parking isn't right near the entrance, which almost made us choose another restaurant once we saw that we'd have to park in the garage or across the street.

Before before getting to the food, the space was inviting and had a lot of cool touches. And the service was great! My wife, youngest, and I shared a number of plates. Some of the first include included the Kinilaw, the Lumpia, and the Laing. The Kinilaw is a yellow tuna dish. The tuna melted in your mouth and the flavors from the coconut-leche dressing, ginger, and jalapeño, as well as the fresh mint, added to the flavor palette. I didn't try the Lumpia because it is skinny spring rolls made with ground pork. My wife and youngest said they were great in really enjoyed the taste. The Laing was a vegetable dish involving creamy brace kale with garlic, ginger, and coconut milk. Of course it sounds different and it was, but in a really good way. Again, the way the flavors worked together was really great. The last dish we got was the Curry. It is grilled red snapper with braised, mung beans, tempura sweet potatoes over coconut red curry sauce and rice. It was so good. Again, the flavors in this dish were amazing. The fish was cooked just right. And the way the dish worked together was a piece of culinary art. They also had cool cocktails, good beers, and even mocktails for our teenager. Our experience at Kultura was better than we even expected from looking at the menu online. If you find yourself in Charleston, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

But people from other parts of the country, primarily may associate CHS with Low Country food like Shrimp & Grits, Fried Green Tomatoes and She Crab Soup. I didn't see any of these traditional Low Country dishes on S&S's menu. I did see (1) Carrot Bolognese, (2) Green Curry Cauliflower and (3) Seared Yellowfin Tuna with cashew tahini. S&S is a modern, creative, vegetable and fruit-focused Shareable Plate restaurant. A cool take on Farm to Table. You'll also find some seafood, chicken and meat dishes. It was so hot during our visit, that an imaginative menu with lighter high quality ingredients was welcome. My wife and I tried: Grilled SC Peaches with watercress and vinaigrette Watermelon with pickled rind, feta cheese and a vadouvan vinaigrette Gem Lettuce Salad with Maple Tahini, pistachios and pink peppercorns ‍ Chantrelle mushrooms with SC corn, black garlic and potatoes Free Range Chicken with an Ahi Amarillo sauce and cabbage Aside from the chicken, all of these dishes felt inventive and fresh. The plating was terrific. Lots of colors, shapes and textures. The flavors really popped. The stand-outs for me were the peach and watermelon dishes. The chicken was good too by the way. My server was nice and made sure to check in on me pretty frequently. I got the Egusi soup with jollof rice. I was lucky to be the first there and they were able to accommodate me, party of 1. The waitress that seated and guided me through the menu was very informative and patient with me. I decided on the pineapple ginger fresh juice, which came in an individual sized bottle for you to poor over ice. It was so refreshing and tasty. I find myself wanting to go by just to get some. After asking that she ensure that I not order anything spicy, I decided on the Red-Red Ndambe dip which reminded me of a a black eyed pea chili, served with Naan. It was amazing. I felt like I was eating a vegetable bowl of chili, it was so comforting and flavorful. I would definitely order it again. I could not decide between the Thieboudieun (Grouper fish with jollof)or the Green Gumbo Okra (which can come with either broken rice or fufu), as they both were tempting. I asked her to pick for me, letting her know either would be fine with me. She decided on the Thieboudieun and I was not disappointed. The flavors were plentiful and great!! When I was asked by some patrons and anyone else that inquired, all i can say is THE FLAVORS!! I cannot fully describe them, but they were plentiful and delicious!! My only regret was I wish I had others with me so we could all try various items off of the menu. Everything was delish!! The atmosphere is very laid back and cool. My only negative, which is SO MINOR, but I feel I have to mention for hearty eaters, is that the piece of grouper was very small (in my opinion). I would say it was about 3-4 ounces of grouper, which is small for an entree protein, but it was delicious! With that being said, bcz I had the appetizer I ended up taking half of my food home for lunch the next day and that red jollof sauce rice was even better the next day! I cannot wait to go back and try something else on the menu!!
