Ate here for both dinner and breakfast as we were staying at the Inn at Glenora overnight. For dinner, we did end up getting takeout given current Covid concerns. The food was good, very good gluten-free options. Only complaint was the crème brûlée-it was almost like they forgot to put it in the oven, it was completely liquid. Really delicious flavor, totally wrong texture. Breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious. Really great omelettes. They use a lot of local products. I'm not one to write reviews, but Veraisons really stands out. I've been vegan for over 20 years and I haven't thought about eating gourmet cheese in a very long time, or any cheese for that matter. Well, there is vegan gourmet cheese platter on their menu. I was a little hesitant to order it because, let's be honest, vegan cheese usually doesn't taste good. James, a server at the restaurant, assured me that I wouldn't be disappointed. So, I ordered it. This vegan gourmet cheese platter was amazingly delicious. It's honestly the best vegan cheese that I've ever eaten. Everything about it was so perfect and creamy and yummy that I had to double check to make sure it was actually vegan. The best thing about this vegan cheese platter is that it's not only for vegans... My non-vegan friends thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Kudos to you, James, for giving me that extra push to order it. Had a 3 night getaway with my wife at Glenora so there was plenty of time spent at the restaurant and ordering room service. This restaurant may come off as pricey if you are not used to the area, but you will be pleased with the food if you pony up and enjoy it for what it is: a five star food experience. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had with the staff of a restaurant. The hostess sat us down outside as we requested but other than that she was no help and wasted our time by not efficiently speaking to the wait staff of our presence. We waited 15-20 for our waitress to approach us. No one came. My boyfriend got up and asked the hostess to please have someone come over, she spoke as if it were an honest mistake and she'd send someone over immediately to fix the issue. 5 more minutes go by and no one shows up. We leave and pass by the host stand to see her and the waitress giggling, there was no one in this restaurant it was empty. So there was no excuse for the rude behavior, do not recommend going here read more

My husband and I are both vegan and gluten free. We could not believe the amazing options. We stuffed ourselves because everything looked so good. The menu is clearly labeled and even those with but allergies will do fine here! So happy to dine here and thank them for offering not just ok but amazing vegan offerings. I went to Veraisons for lunch because they had Vegan options on their menu, and I sure am glad that I did. The outside patio has a beautiful view of Seneca Lake and the vineyards, very picturesque. I started with the asparagus pea soup -- YUM!!! What amazing flavor. Then had the Soba Noodle bowl (both Vegan) and that was full of tangy and mildly spicy flavor -- AMAZING!!! The service was great. Very friendly staff at the restaurant as well as the wine tasting area. Put Glenora Winery and Veraisons restaurant on your list if you're in the area. This is the 4th time I've been to this special place - I go whenever I visit the most special place (Farm Sanctuary). Only ate vegan options and left very satisfied. The vegan cheese board (including the best vegan brie ever) is the best. Tonight we had soup - asparagus for some, potato/leek for myself. Vegan grits were amazing and the mushroom special was very popular with our table. We treated ourselves to carrot cake and key lime sorbet for dessert. Server had a couple slip ups, forgetting my husband's side dish and then later forgetting his specialty coffee. Tip reflected her errors but this should not be a reflection on Versions Restaurant. Nice restaurant at the Glenora Winery. My girlfriends and I had lunch outdoors overlooking Seneca Lake. That's a pretty good start. The menu had several options from salads to sandwiches for prices between 8.00 and 12.00 -- very decent prices. I opted for the caesar salad with flat bread topped with cheese and pesto. It had a suggested pairing with their Signature white wine, a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Riesling. I was very satisfied with the salad and the wine combination. read more

Veraisons is an upscale restaurant situated in the Inn at Glenora which sits just behind the tasting room. It has a great view overlooking the vineyard and a sloping hill that leads down to Seneca lake. The chef here tries to focus on local produce and meats and this can easily be seen by some of the dishes on the menu. When we went, Veraisons was having a special for couples that included an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $50 off a select menu. Considering that most of the entrees are at least $25, this deal was essentially getting us an appetizer and dessert for free. We had the pork empanadas, shrimp & scallop mousse filled ravioli, chipotle marinated flank steak, and chess pie for dessert. We also ordered another appetizer: crab cake. The appetizers were pretty good. The pork empanadas consisted of two large deep-fried pastries filled with well-seasoned ground pork. They were a little too greasy and I thought the filling could have been more interesting. The crab cake was very tasty with very little filler that was appreciated. The shrimp & scallop mousse ravioli were great. They came in a vodka sauce that was good enough to sop up with bread. The flank steak was perfectly cooked medium rare but could have used more char on the outside. I'm not much of a dessert person but the chess pie was tasty and incredibly sweet. If that's your thing, you'll love it I'm sure. If we lived closer, I'd probably take advantage of this special more often. read more

I had the best moist pork chop on top of pumpkin purée, potatoes augratin, and roasted cauliflower, topped with spiced apples. The flavors were like an orgy in my mouth. We met my parents at Veraisons for lunch on a Saturday off-season. The dining area was small but not overcrowded, the waitstaff were excellent and we all enjoyed our food. I tried the Sweet Potato Frankie and the suggested wine pairing. The dish had excellent flavor and was very filling. My mom had the chicken salad sandwich and was so happy that she claims she is going to add wine soaked apples to her homemade chicken salad from now on. The waitress did not understand the menu. She could not tell us which "seasonal vegetables" was included in the gnocchi. The oyster bisque was horrendous. Tasted like grocery store curry powder. There was zero oyster flavor as everything was overpowered by powdered curry "flavor" and was inedible. My husband and I go around on the lake for wine tasting every year for our anniversary and we made reservations for 5pm last night we showed up alittle earlier around 4:30 and they had no problem getting us seated right away. This was our first meal during a long weekend in the Finger Lakes and we really enjoyed it. From the picturesque view of Seneca Lake to the top notch service and thoughtfully prepared and delicious dishes, we were very pleased with the experience. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the wine list (sommelier level insight!) and was extremely helpful in guiding us in our selections. Everything he recommended was spot on: creatively presented and full of flavor without being overly rich or heavy. Highlights were the duck carnitas appetizer (recommended by our waiter and outrageously delicious!), pork chop entree, and dairy free blueberry cheesecake (guilt free and light but extremely tasty). The food is good, not excellent, but prices are good for the farm-to-table menu. My Rueben was a bit too greasy. Service was slow-too few wait staff for the rather busy Wednesday lunch. Two servers plus a bus boy to handle the entire restaurant. Our server was very friendly and we liked her, however she delivered the wrong sandwich to me. Unfortunately, I'd been dithering between the Rueben I was served and the turkey I'd actually ordered. I'm not exactly young, and am a bit absent minded lately, and as my husband couldn't remember what I'd ordered either, I assumed I'd simply ordered the wrong sandwich and after waiting to try and catch her (and failing - they were too busy) to ask if it was indeed what I'd ordered, I simply ate it. Later was asked if I'd noticed I'd been served the wrong sandwich. No dispensation was made for the mistake. We'd ordered the cheese plate for one and waited a very long time before it came. We were only about half way through it before our main order arrived. So service was pretty spotty - really not the wait staff's fault, food good ( we had much better at MIX in Ithaca). Made a reservation for a Sunday evening dinner for our anniversary. Showed up a little early and said we would be happy to wait at the bar if our table wasn't ready yet, but expected since it was off-season we could be seated early. The hostess walked us into the bar and said she'd get us a bartender (there was nobody at the bar currently). We could see that ALL tables in the dining room were open and asked if we could sit now. (Not a single other person in the restaurant besides the hostess and 3 other workers) she walked us in and walked away without giving us direction on where to sit so we chose a table next to the fireplace. When a waitress finally came out to pour us water she made us move tables even though not a single other table had anyone at it. Between the lack of engagement from any staff and rude reactions to us, along with a menu that looked way too expensive for the experience we were beginning to have, my husband and I decided to leave. I would hope maybe they were just having a bad night, but it did not appear to be worth our money and definitely not a great dinner spot to celebrate our anniversary together. read more

Restaurant has a very nice set up with a deck out back. The day I went there was a band playing in the field aside of the facility so you could hear the music from the deck. Perfect level of music. Not loud but not unable to be heard. The food was delicious! I loved my turkey and brie sandwich. Chose the lemon dessert plate and it was amazing! Very well presented and super delicious. The only bad thing about the experience was the host sitting the guests seemed inexperienced. Kept telling everyone the outside seating was full when you could clearly see open tables. Being that there was a band outside and it was a beautiful day, this was definitely the place you would want to be. (not a single party inside) The two parties in front of us complained and demanded to be sat outside. He then managed to "find seats" and sat the two parties on the deck. We followed suit and pointed out an open table out when told there were none available and he quickly set the table for us. There was at least 5 open tables outside the entire time we were there so I'm not sure what all the fuss was. Overall though I was very happy with the food and atmosphere. read more

Very beautiful setting overlooking Seneca Lake. Breakfast on the terrace on a bright sunny morning or a candlelit dinner in the evening. I love that the menu's change with the seasons and really love that the menu notes gluten free options. I have had breakfast and a couple of dinners here. The chef serves up fabulous tasty gourmet dishes. I loved the lavish pancakes for breakfast. The gluten free fish fry was a nice surprise. The small plates are perfect for trying different items. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have consistency with gluten free options on the menus. It seems that depending on the season, the gluten free options vary. For example the Spring dinner menu is loaded with gluten free options but there aren't many on the lunch menu. Sometimes the lunch menu has better options than the dinner menu. We found the food outstanding and the views were gorgeous. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disjointed. For the price of the entrees, the service should have been impeccable. We had several questions about the ingredients and preparation of the dishes that the server could not adequately describe, the dessert menus were dropped before we finished our meal. What a great place! The Harvest Meal was amazingly delicious and inventive!

Interesting and delicious vegan food at an elevated but reasonable price. My partner and I started with the vegan cheese platter, which looked and tasted amazing. The specially made nut cheeses were some of the best I've ever had and also included fruit and crackers. For dinner I really enjoyed my cauliflower tacos, although the portion was quite small. My partner's bangers and mash had all the right umami flavors and was very generously sized. It's really wonderful to be able to visit a beautiful winery like Glenora, with amazing views of Seneca Lake and great wine, and have a gourmet vegan meal. read more
