My initial appointment at Winnie was in April but it got pushed to May and then again to June, which was really disappointing. However, Abegail at Winnie Couture contacted me to let me know they were doing virtual appointments with brides to get the process started. I took her up on her offer and I loved being able to see the dresses we had picked out together based on my style preferences. I was able to narrow it down to 3 dresses from that virtual appointment alone! I was finally able to go into Winnie in June and Abegail made sure I had the best experience ever. I was the only bride there, which made the whole experience very personal - not to mention their space is gorgeous. I fell in love with one of the dresses, but there were a couple of changes/additions I wanted to make. Although Abegail didn't have the answers or prices at that moment in time, she promised she would find out and let me know (which she did very promptly). I still had another appointment to go to and I was feeling anxious about making a decision. Not once did I feel pressured by Abegail, and she even recommended I get all of my appointments out of the way so that I didn't feel any regrets. After all of my appointments, I could not stop thinking about that dress at Winnie. Abegail helped me set up another appointment so that I could show the dress to my mom, and it was even better than the first time I went! It felt like I had known Abegail forever, and the whole experience felt so special. Again, I did not feel pressured or rushed at any point to make a decision, which might be what made my decision so easy! I finally said yes to the dress and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I HIGHLY recommend Winnie Couture for anyone looking for a special and stress free shopping experience - kudos to Abegail for making me feel special despite the challenging circumstances surrounding COVID-19!

If I could give zero stars, I would. The most stressful, disappointing, and unprofessional part of…read moremy entire wedding experience. And that's saying something, considering every other aspect of planning my wedding went incredibly smoothly. I hope this review saves another bride from what I went through. No bride spending thousands of dollars should have to chase down a business, pay for a dress she hasn't seen, or walk down the aisle in a poorly altered gown. I purchased my dress on May 12, 2025. The initial appointment was wonderful. I loved the dress, discussed customizations, and specifically chose a local boutique so I could have personal contact throughout the process. The boutique CLOSED without notifying me. I was told my dress would arrive in November. After repeatedly calling with no answer, I physically drove to the boutique, only to discover it had CLOSED. No email. No phone call. No notice. Just a boarded-up storefront. (Apparently they have since re-opened in Beverly Hills in a new location.) Imagine spending thousands of dollars and discovering the business has disappeared without notifying you. I had to track down their Atlanta location for answers. Even then, I was constantly chasing updates. Communication was virtually nonexistent. I was forced to pay the remaining 50% without seeing my dress so they would release it (mind you over a month later than expected in a location across the country). My gown was received and supposedly "inspected" in Charlotte, then shipped directly to their recommended alterations provider in Beverly Hills. I was expected to pay the remaining balance without ever inspecting it myself. Had I seen it, I would NOT have authorized final payment without addressing the issues. I had discussed specific customizations, including lining the bodice to eliminate a visible seam and modifying the underarm panels. Their associate confirmed these details IN WRITING, yet the seam remained visible. The train also appeared identical in length to the store sample. I've attached photos and screenshots. The entire process felt misleading and lacked transparency. Their recommended alterations provider was a disaster. The boutique insisted their Beverly Hills provider was the ONLY person they recommended because she knew their dresses and fabrics best. I trusted them. ANOTHER huge mistake. Appointments were repeatedly rescheduled, and the workmanship was unacceptable. My first appointment was December 21, 2025. I didn't take the dress home until March 14, 2026, nearly THREE MONTHS later, because I was leaving for my wedding that week. And after all that time, IT STILL DIDN'T FIT PROPERLY. The internal corset was visibly apparent through the gown, and the fit remained unfinished. These issues were noticeable throughout my wedding day. I remained patient and respectful, repeatedly requesting updates and ultimately a refund for customizations I believe were not completed as agreed. My calls, texts, and emails increasingly went unanswered. No refund. No resolution. No accountability. A warning to other brides.... I purchased my dress more than TEN MONTHS before finally taking it home. I communicated expectations in writing, paid thousands of dollars, and trusted their recommendations. In return, I experienced a store closure without notice, terrible communication, questionable customization work, disastrous alterations, and a dress that didn't fit properly on my wedding day. Let me be VERY clear: EVERY other aspect of planning my wedding went smoothly. Every other vendor was wonderful. This boutique was the SINGLE source of unnecessary stress, frustration, and anxiety throughout an otherwise incredible experience. What should have been one of the most special parts of being a bride became a months-long nightmare. To be disappointed with my dress on my actual wedding day was devastating. I would NEVER recommend this boutique. I genuinely wish someone had warned me before I spent thousands of dollars here.

Carmen was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and she created a comfortable and safe environment for me to try on dresses. It was a rainy day, a late afternoon appointment, and the store was very busy, but Carmen greeted my group and and checked in on me while she prepared our fitting area. I showed her some references of what I was looking for, but since this was my first visit, she pulled a variety of dresses to try. Her knowledge of the inventory was exceptional. She knew exactly where to clip the dress to show me how it would fit when altered and how certain details would look on me. She explained what could be done in alterations within a reasonable amount and what would require a little more $$$. After trying on a couple of dresses, she helped me understand the terms to define the silhouettes I was gravitating towards. She was very respectful and mindful of my budget. When pulling the dresses, she took into account the amount required for alterations. While my budget was ultimately lower than a typical Pronovias dress, she still treated me like a valued customer. Blogs/influencers will say you need to buy your dress 9-12 months out from the big day. (I was shopping about 8 months out from my wedding day.) While Carmen did express the urgency of ordering my dress soon, she didn't make the timing feel daunting and most importantly she didn't make me feel guilty or shameful for being in this time crunch situation. I ended up getting a dress elsewhere largely due to budget. Carmen played a crucial role in helping me to better navigate the bridal dress shopping experience to ultimately find a style I felt beautiful in.

I can't speak to their online portion of the business, with the shipping and try-on-at-home or the selling process, but I can absolutely recommend that if you're looking to buy a wedding dress in SoCal, it's worth it to visit this place in person! It was just me and my mom (someone whose opinion I value but who also trusts that I can make my own decisions), but I think they allow up to four people to come with you. (Choose wisely lol). They also have great tips on their site, and the ones I felt were super helpful were 1- go to a regular bridal salon first to get a feel for the things you like and don't like, 2- size up one or two sizes from what your street clothes normally are, 3- preview their selection online and come prepared if there's something you specifically want to try on. They also send you a questionnaire when you book the appointment asking how you want to feel in your wedding dress on the day of -- which was a really useful question to answer, just for myself lol but I'm sure it helps them pick out some options that might align! Desiree was amazing!! She immediately understood my vision. She was an incredible resource for all of my nerdy material questions, and my questions about the consignment process, what would and wouldn't be possible in alterations, travel tips for transporting the dress, storing the dress, post-ceremony cleaning, etc. It's also bananas how much she knew about the history of some of my dress picks re: the original bride's alterations, off the top of her head! (Or maybe it's written down in their system haha that's probably more likely, but if it was from memory, freakin' kudos!). Apparently, Desiree had worked at the designer of one of my top pick dresses so she also had the lowdown of the business from that perspective as well! I also didn't feel pressured at all, which was so important for me--not just for wedding dress shopping but for all of the choices we've been making for the wedding. It's a small thing, but something I greatly appreciated. The absolute most useful advice Desiree had was about the alterations process and even pricing. She made the caveat that different people would have a range of prices, but for what I was looking for, she would be shocked if I had to pay over X amount. I went to five different alteration places to get quotes, and three of them quoted me pretty much the exact number Desiree had suggested, and two of them tried to upsell me on things I didn't need and charge me three times as much! Obviously, I went with one of the seamstresses that quoted me that starting price, and I was so grateful that Desiree knew her stuff because my people-pleaser self might have just accepted the pricier alterations place without questioning it. I found the gown of my dreams at Loved Twice Bridal, from my top pick designer (Galia Lahav!) at significantly off the retail/custom order price. I received excellent service from an extremely knowledgeable resource. And I made a choice that aligned with my sustainable values. I'm so, so happy with how it all worked out! I just picked it up after alterations (Connie Tao Designs in Pasadena) and I cannot wait to wear this dress on my wedding day! Obviously, my choice of husband is the best choice I've made for my wedding haha, but choosing the dress I did, from this shop - it was a pretty darn good choice for me. Best of luck in your search!!

Her quote was a bit high for the work that was needed (there wasn't much to be done), but I trusted what all the other reviews said and decided to go with her. She was also very personable during the appointment so I felt comfortable moving forward - she required full payment at the first appointment. My second appointment was supposed to be May 24. She cancelled a couple of days before and said she would reach out to reschedule. When I didn't hear from her, I texted her to see when she would be able to reschedule. She suggested June 20...which was almost a month later than we were supposed to meet. I pushed back and said I would feel comfortable meeting no later than June 7 - I even offered to come on a weekday if that worked better for her. Miraculously, she had June 7 available,. I had a gut feeling before the appointment that no work had been done, and I was correct. At that appointment, she just put me in the dress again and stuck some more pins in there. She assured me that the dress would be done at the next fitting on July 3. When I got there, there were a few things that I wasn't completely happy with, so she said she could fix it there on the spot...she told me that it would take about 30 minutes - so I just walked around Beverly Hills for that time. After about 45 minutes, I came back to the salon, and texted her that I was there (her office is in the back). Well, she came out about 10 minutes later with another bride! In that time when she was "working" on my dress, she met with another bride for her fitting! I was so frustrated and angry, and she could tell. She asked me if I wanted to try it on again...um yes of course I do.
