Efficient Honest Reasonable After looking at several bridal establishments, including those located in Brentwood, Newport Beach, Palm Springs, and other locations, we returned to Rodeo Drive, and closed the deal. Surprisingly, the gown prices were quite comparable! Don't expect a blue light special, but a special wedding day warrants a gown that says, "This bridal gown becomes you." Here's a tip. Ask for Chanelle and you'll never look back. You will be in the best of hands. From the moment I reached out to Vera Wang, Chanelle was attentive, supportive, responsive, and in the most beautiful way - honest. Deciding on a dress can feel like a lot , and it can feel overwhelming with so many other opinions coming at you from family or consultants. I never felt anything but supported from Chanelle. My ideal budget for a dress was on the lower end of what Vera Wang (and many other stores in BH offer.) At some other bridal stores, I would feel like a slightly difficult client because my budget was lower. I never felt this way with Chanelle. She even made me looking at dresses out of my budget fun and light. She guided me towards items in my price range, and again, never made me feel anything but exceptional with where I was at and what I was looking for. It feels like you are with a family member - loving and again, honest. -- which, when dealing with such a large decision is key. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated it. She gave me tips on how weather and travel would affect each gown as I'm doing a destination wedding - so helpful! Chanelle would help me into a gown and then give me space to feel it out, take it in, and she would always remind me "You're not going to walk down the aisle in your 2nd or 3rd choice. You need to make sure it's the right one." When I finally found "the one" I knew it right away. She wasn't pushing me towards one gown or another, she was patient, supportive, and of course thrilled when I had. She let me guide what dresses were pulling me forward. Even as I debated the veil, she encouraged me to take time to think about it and feel free to contact them within 4 weeks to add it on if I felt strongly about it. She encouraged me not to rush to buy it that day just because of a discount sale that was running. She kept emphasizing she wanted me to feel good about it and to take my time finding what was right for me. I ended up buying it and am so glad that I did. I had so much time and freedom to hear my own voice and find what was right for me it made picking it an obvious choice. After, a lovely manager, Daniel, came out to explain the very generous pricing breakout and go through details of payment and fittings. As my sister and I waited to sign the final contract, an attendant we hadn't even been working with came over to offer us more champagne and told us to take our time and relax as long as we wanted. We ended up sipping champagne and watching the other brides for another 20 minutes. Everyone made us feel at home, welcome, and supported. Even the dear hearted guard at the front, and the receptionist. I couldn't be more thankful and more excited for this dress and my day. Chanelle even sent me a follow up email after congratulating me on my dress. She felt like an old friend, a family member, an honest confidant in your corner looking out for you. I had my wedding in September 2021, so this review is long overdue. Vera Wang was my last bridal appointment, and the dress that I chose was the last dress that I tried on. I highly recommend that if you are seriously considering going with a Vera Wang dress, to make this your last bridal appointment as they offer a 10% discount if you purchase the dress at the initial bridal appointment. Given how expensive the dresses are, this is not an insignificant amount of money. I chose Vera Wang for a variety of reasons. One, the dress worked for me, and it was very flattering and fitted my personality. Two, it was very clear to me that Vera Wang was very professional and that there would be no problems with the dress on the day of the wedding. Three, I felt confident in their alterations department, given their reputation. Every single step of the process was seamless, and I am so happy that I chose them. On the day of the wedding, the dress was absolutely perfect. The quality of the dress and the fit was amazing, and this particularly made a difference in the photos. My wedding pictures and video were stunning, and the dress made a huge difference. I highly recommend paying extra for the service, quality of the dress, and professionalism. After shopping at 7 boutiques and designer shops (including The Wedding Atelier in NY, Carolina Herrera, and Monique Lhuillier), my partner, Emily, and I found our dresses at Vera Wang. Beyond finding the dresses at the Beverly Hills location, we also had by far the best experience at the store. Emily and I initially shopped for dresses in New York and we were very reluctant to get out there and go through the experience, as we are not "Say yes to the dress" people or super into the overdone, bridezilla wedding experience. But after going through the process at several stores I can say that shopping for a wedding dress can be a great experience, no matter who you are. At Vera Wang, we found that Chanelle and Fabi, who worked with us at the same time so we could try on dresses together, were so natural and supportive (without being obnoxious, pushy, or over the top). The store and the dresses live up the simple elegance and class that you'd expect, while also being a lot of fun. A few things to note about this vs our other experiences - first, we are different sizes and found that Vera Wang was the only store that had sample sizes that actually fit each of us. This made a huge difference in seeing how the dress actually looked on. Second, while other stores carry Vera Wang, the full collection was available here (we did try on a dress or two at Saks, but the two we bought weren't available there). Beyond that, the having the right fit and tailoring is incredibly important, and we found that Vera Wang takes 7 measurements, compared to other designers/stores that typically only take 3. Finally, the dresses were beautiful but the experience at the store was incredible. You can tell that the consultants you work with are very knowledgeable and love what they do, which makes all the difference. The customer service is the BEST I've received in all my gown fittings! David was my specialist! He is honestly the best!! He's been my only male consultant and he totally stands out until this day. I came here because my best friend is good friends with one of Vera's people. She made me a VIP appointment, and I had the place all to myself! It was soooooo awesome. This was one of the first places I went to, and have been screwed since then because David and Vera had set the bar sooooooooo high! David put me in some amazing gowns, even in ones I never imagined myself in. I never wanted to be in a ball gown, but he put one on me and it did wonders to my figure! It looked amazing! It totally shaped my curves and gave me a figure which I never knew I had! That just shows the craftsmanship and quality of a Vera gown. She works her magic in her gowns and makes every woman look outstanding on her special day. I like that David put me a little outside my comfort zone to show me the different options and potential that I can find in other gowns that never came to my mind. Once I slipped on the designer gown, I immediately understood why it commands such high prices. The fabric, the lining, the detail, and how it transforms the shape of your body without wearing spanx! LOL. I guess you can say it's cheaper than lipo... Hahahahaha As much as I wanted to be a Vera bride, I couldn't find a gown that would work for my Hawaiian destination wedding in the hot summer! I also needed a gown that I could comfortably move and dance in. We get down at Filipino weddings so it would be really hard to walk and dance in the mermaid style gowns... At least in Hawaii where it will be scorching hot. The only way to get the gorgeous design is through layers and layers of tulle, which make it super hot. I love David, I love Vera, I love this place! Every bride needs to come here, but beware because you will be spoiled... Beautiful dress that my daughter purchased 9 months ago ended up in a great disappointment due to awful service and fitting experience .After 3 fittings that she asked to have waist fitted firmly she was told you cant alter the waist size .The alteration lady was rude, did not listen kept saying this fits perfectly "i know better" .Both my wife and my daughter were not happy with the fit from the beginning .They sold a custom dress over 10K, promising it will fit perfectly. AFTER 3 FITTINGS NOTHING WAS changed drove 2 hours each way to be disappointed each time. Asked for water because it was hot in a dressing room .Understanding no water is offered due to covid but didn't have a bottle of water to give you when u left?Just rude and inconsiderate. read more

I had a wonderful experience shopping here and bought my wedding dress here! Emily, the bridal consultant who helped me find my dress, does not work here anymore, but I imagine the overall experience would be similar! Even though I came on a Saturday, the store was very calm and not overfilled with customers. I did not feel any pressure for time or to buy. Even when I was pretty sure I had found my wedding dress, I was encouraged to go home and think about it to make sure i was confident in making a big purchase/decision. When I couldn't stop thinking about the dress, I emailed the consultant, and she made it very easy for me to come back, try it on, and buy the dress! My dress came in 1-2 months earlier than they had estimated. They were very good with communication, and even reminded me the day before each fitting. Alterations went very smoothly with Pablo and Thea! When I felt a bit self-conscious about the fit in the bust after one of my fittings and contacted them by email, they responded immediately, asked me to come in to address my concerns, and reassured me that they would make sure I was 100% comfortable and happy with the dress' fit. I'm also a bit on the short/petite side, so the dress had to be hemmed quite a bit, but given the pattern of the lace on the skirt, there was a beautiful edge that gave it a romantic, airy feel. They preserved this by moving up the lace, which I know took a lot more work, and I greatly appreciated that they wanted to preserve the initial look and design of the dress! I understand Vera Wang likely has a specific aesthetic that may not appeal to every bride, but if it's your style, then I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience! read more

I had an amazing time trying on wedding dresses here. Daniel helped us out and he made my party and I feel so comfortable. He totally got my style and even pulled dresses for me to try on that I was interested in without me having to tell him what styles I was stalking online. The quality and design of the Vera Wang dresses are impeccable. I could really tell after comparing to other wedding dresses I tried on. Most of the sample dresses i tried on here were sized small. I would say closer to a size 4-6. Similar sizes to the gowns I tried on at Saks, but for example at Monique Lhuillier and another bridal shop they had do a lot more clipping in back as their sample sizes were about 1-2 sizes bigger. read more

David Friedman truly transformed my wedding dress shopping experience into something special. I'm not gonna lie, I had been less than thrilled about planning some aspects of my wedding and was feeling a little ho hum about the whole "say yes to the dress" part too. First off, the store on Rodeo is such a beautiful space and not very crowded, so you really feel like you have plenty of time to go through options without feeling rushed or forced into a sale by a pushy bridal consultant (which was my experience at some other shops). David took it up a level by making it so much fun, allowing me to invite a few friends to drink champagne and gossip while trying on. And even though we both had a good sense of which dresses were "my style," David still indulged me by letting me try on some more extravagant options. I went to about 15 different stores and tried on 60 different dresses. I like to do a lot of research and be thorough. When I came in three times to Vera Wang, I worked with Julia & Emily and they were both so kind and so helpful. By the 3rd time I was finally convinced that the Georgina dress was my dress. Finally I had my fittings and I had Aida as my seamstress. She is by far the most talented alterations expert I have ever met. I come from a family of Armenian seamstresses and I work in costumes around seamstresses and experts in the film industry, Aida is by far the best seamstress in the world. Me, my mom, my 3 sisters, and nieces went to Vera Wang about a couple of weeks ago to chose a bridal gown for my wedding. I had told Julia that Vera Wang was my first stop but I might go to another Bridal store. She didn't make me feel pressured at all. I ended up choosing the most gorgeous gown thanks to the help of my family. I said this is it! I refuse to go to another store. Julia was the most amazing employee I have ever met thus far. OK so wedding dress shopping is kinda scary- what if you hate everything? what if you love everything? what if you follow so many wedding dress designers on insta that you might have FOMO once you choose your dress and then have buyers remorse on the one you chose?? haha Could I sound any more dramatic? These are the nervous thoughts rushing through my head as I kept delaying the "wedding dress shopping" experience. So what did I do? I decided to go to Vera where I knew they would treat me as the fragile nervous bride-to-be that I was. I grabbed my sister (who also happens to be my best friend) and we had the BEST experience with Julia. A glass of champagne later, I was ready to try them on. But I was honest with her- I didn't know the different terms; A-line, sheath, "boning" (well in dress terms), trumpet, mermaid.. etc etc huh? Another glass of champagne please :/ So what did Julia do? She showed me. One by one, we eliminated (and I learned) what each thing meant. She was so sweet, patient, and had a great sense of humor with me during all of this. Everyone knows wedding dress shopping is a big deal. So why mess around and have a traumatic experience somewhere else? Ok, so you have to love Vera's work - but if you do, I'm telling you... this was the best decision I ever made. While the dresses are great, I simply can't give more than one star for the body shaming pressure we experienced here. Not appropriate for any business. I went with my best friend to pick up her gown for its final fitting. I was treated like a second-class citizen until my bestie mentioned my clothing line- suddenly, my opinion was valuable to the styling team. The people went on and on about how she might just be featured in the Vera blog since her dress was so unique and one of the first of that design- just what every bride wants, right? Her personal commitment ceremony used as free marketing materials for the incredibly expensive clothing she purchased- how wonderful. /sarcasm The dress was just slightly too small (she'd purchased it at a Vera sample sale in another city). My friend weighs about 100lb at 5'9", and she's a recovering bulimic. The Vera stylists offered her two options- she could spend literally THOUSANDS of dollars having her dress altered there at the store, or she could "lose just about 5lb" and see if it fits. I could see this being appropriate if she were an average-weight woman and this was 3 months before the wedding, but we were TWO WEEKS away from the wedding, and she is very thin. Naturally, she started freaking out, asking if I thought she should lose weight (again, she has an eating disorder). This is trigger-inducing behavior on the part of the store and simply not appropriate. Even if she were able to lose that weight, why would anyone assume that it would come from her waist area, rather than, say, her hips? Ridiculous. We ended up finding a tailor who would do the alterations for a small fraction of Vera's estimate. He did a fantastic job. And, of course, my friend obsessed with her weight and attempted to lose the pounds even though it was certainly not healthy for her. Vera Wang is one of those magical dreamy places every little girl dreams of. From the second I walked into their beautiful storefront on Rodeo, I felt at ease by the calm, beautiful, and positive energy of the space. My two sisters, mom, and I were greeted by a lovely girl who offered us beverages, sparkling water, tea, champagne! and made sure we were seated comfortably in our own private area upstairs. It was truly the only shop we visited (including monique lhuillier, sak's, and panache) that felt like a special, elegant, and personal experience. Julia greeted us shortly after we arrived and was immediately just such a breath of fresh air from the slew of pushy, unknowledgeable, or snobby sales associates we had been experiencing. She politely inquired as to our budget to ensure we didn't fall in love with anything unattainable and helped me find so many options to try on without feeling restricted by my parameters. With ever dress she helped me put on, she pulled, pushed, clipped, and pinned in the perfect places to make the samples look flawless, definitely a skill when you are trying dresses that are often multiple sizes too large or small for you. She never pushed me into any particular style and would always step back and allow me and my family to enjoy the dress, discuss the pros and cons, etc... and remained close by in case we had any questions. After our first visit, I had a few follow up questions and Julia was so helpful and sweet via email, not to mention quick! She was also super flexible with my follow up visits, making sure to squeeze me in whenever possible so I could make my selection. When I finally settled on my gown (after a very dramatic, personal struggle, and months of dancing around the purchase) Julia was so sweet and organized and professional. She reviewed each element of the contract, ordering and fitting process and timeline. For anyone looking to have a magical wedding dress shopping experience, and of course anyone who wants to feel like a real princess for their bridal moment, don't bother going anywhere else. I wanted to give this 5 stars. But I just couldn't. I was so excited to come try on dresses at Vera Wang. I mean, what girl doesn't dream of those exquisite dresses and on Rodeo Drive, nonetheless? We found parking up the street in a garage (which was surprisingly empty when we got there) and made it to the appointment on time. Once in, we were told that our consultant, David, was waiting for us upstairs. A male consultant for wedding dresses? Hmm. I'm open but thinking how am I going to get into my dresses? He welcomed us with drinks of our choice, so we chose champagne and tea. He described some of the dresses and asked what my style was. Based on my figure, he recommended dresses to me but ultimately requested I tell him what I wanted. I didn't like that because as a consultant, I'm looking to YOU to help me whittle down the choices or bring something to my attention that I didn't consider. I kept asking for his expertise but he kept deferring it back to me. When I would say that I liked Dress A or B, a lot of times he would say it wouldn't work for me. Once several dresses were selected, he said, I can't help you get in the dresses so maybe someone from your party can? He also didn't advise on bringing shapewear or shoes so I was glad I had mine with me. I would think he could have offered the shapewear and shoes without me asking. I did get help from someone in my party but that did not seem professional to me. There were a couple dresses I needed a female assist and didn't want to ruin the dresses (which many had seen better days). I feel a female consultant from the start would have been better. I did get to try on many dresses, all of which made me feel like a princess. There were a couple that were not in my size but I would think they would have 2 in stock (one on the smaller end and one on the larger). David never pressured me in purchasing, which I liked and even offered some elements such as veil, sash, to complete the look. He also suggested we take as many pix as we want which was nice. So why 3 stars? Well, on the positive, I definitely felt very posh trying on dresses at Vera Wang but still haven't made a decision. However, for me, having a female consultant would have been more ideal, but if you are open to it, David is great! I wish the store would have told or asked me in advance so I knew walking in. read more

There's a line in 50 Cent's classic, "Candy Shop", in which he describes taking a woman to the aforementioned shoppe, letting her lick a lollipop, and then goes on to detail pleasure from the ensuring shenanigans...and now what I think he was perhaps talking abt is not wedding dress shopping, truth be told, Fiddy got it wrong - Vera Wang is one big gummy bear rolled into a malt ball rolled into some sour patch kids. Even for those who aren't traditionally girly, hot damn, they have some absolutely stunning pieces - generally classically beautiful, but with a slight twist - and whether that edge will work for a certain bride, I don't know, but for our party, it was just the sass we needed - the princess gown w an accessory that I can only describe as a huge ass fanny pack/girdle that doubles as maybe a bullet holder - that, maybe I would pass on - but, for the lady who is interested in a trumpet gown with undulating waves of tulle or a princess gown w a bit of intrigue, it's a home run. Bonus points for gratis valet and quite lovely chammpers - though I will admit, when we rolled in decked out in somewhat less than head to toe Hermes & Louis, we were initially given an icy glare, but once ELD announced herself as the bride to be, the thermostat in the place seemed to kick up a few degrees and we were all hugs by the end of it. If you have a say in it all, David, our bridal sherpa, forever beloved to me for tapping to the seat next to him and saying, "alright, come sit close to this old queen and see what we can do about your life" - a phrase I am obviously now going to incorporate into my vocab daily - is an excellent advisor - not at all pushy - truly curious abt a bride's personal style. Never felt rushed - the salon was largely empty during our adventure. Prices seemed to start around $5000 and go up to your heart's content. My experience has been nothing but pleasant during my wedding planning journey. I have been planning since last year so started at the Melrose location which was just as nice. Have since had 2 dress fittings at this location and absolutely love it. Beautiful store, helpful staff, drinks offered, quiet, great seamstress for alterations. I wore Jacqueline dress with the matching Jacq veil and everyone complimented me that they have never seen such elaborate dress before. Vera wang dresses are just superbly beautiful. David helped me so much and gave me a lot of advises on styles. My now husband also came here alone last year feeling sheepish at first for walking into the bridal store alone. I was so nervous about dress shopping but I have to say I could not be more thrilled, happy, excited and SO in love with my experience at Vera Wang in Beverly Hills. A friend recommended I call Emily and request an appointment with her. Emily got me in that exact weekend I called and for my first time ever trying on bridal gowns, she sure made me feel so comfortable and eased all my anxieties! Not only did she listen, but she asked great questions to better understand who I am and what I was looking for in my wedding dress. Long story short, I found THE dress and it so happened to be the VERY FIRST dress she put me in! I was in complete shock but from everything I told her, she brought me a few dresses to try on and nothing came in comparison to the first one she put me in. I came back multiple times to try it on to double, triple check this was THE ONE, and every time I came back she was more than helpful, but I felt like she was a friend of mine; she was always friendly, extremely helpful, supportive in so many ways and I never felt pressured. It is my absolute DREAM dress and if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing! The entire experience at Vera Wang could not be more enjoyable! Greeted with smiles, champagne and macaroons, and I feel so lucky to have found the upmost perfect dress for my wedding!! Look no further, Vera Wang bridal is a one of a kind experience that every bride deserves. From the moment I first called to make an appointment, Chanelle Scott was there with a positive attitude and so much knowledge to everything I was asking about. She took the time to truly get to know me and what I was looking for in my dress, and was always a step ahead of my thoughts. Her level of customer service and professionalism is really rare and I'm so glad to be working with her! Additionally, Fabi was so in touch with my vision and also truly took time to listen to my thoughts and make them a reality. She went to the back countless times to find me the right fabric in order to help me envision what my dress would look like. She has great taste and a good eye and made a great suggestion to add a layer of nude to my skirt that will elevate the entire look so much. Jenn was so helpful answered so many technical questions about the dress and helped ease any worries I had. Her attention to detail is wonderful, especially during a fitting when my mind was racing with excitement. She also captured some incredible moments between my mom and I on my phone (me trying on a veil for the first time!) without me even asking, and I will be cherishing those videos forever! Daniel and Cecilia were both very kind and professional, helping us all out throughout the entire process. I had always thought that when I got married I'd be in a Vera wang gown. Given that Vera wang is probably one of the well known designers for traditional yet simple wedding gowns I thought I'd go take a look. Vera designs very classic dresses. Simple. The dresses that I tried on were too simple for my liking. My consultant was very knowledgable about fittings and garments/material specifications. I had a great time, I wanted backless, they got me backless--just a bit on the conservative side. Vera, you'll always have a place in my heart but unfortunately I won't be walking down the isle with you. read more

Had no idea Vera wang bridal had moved from la cienega. Thankfully due to keep running late to all the appointments, i finally found out they are now on rodeo and didn't go all the way there. It is a beautiful store, very friendly staff and very helpful. We went wedding dress shopping for my SIL and vera wang was one of our destinations. This was my third place trying on wedding gowns. Since I previously went to Nordstrom and Panache which both carry multiple designers, I was initially worried that the selection here would be too small, but was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of looks from architectural to romantic to even glamorous. However, make no mistake, Vera does have a very clear point of view... Think textures, big bows, lace, and asymmetrical layered skirts. My stylist called the skirts "organic," which I think is a fitting word. I booked the appointment a few days in advance. You get 1.5 hours, which is more than the time I was allowed in my previous fittings. My stylist Emily was great. She did most of the work for me, and as we went along pulled more dresses based on feedback from the dresses I previously tried. She was very hands off and let my bridesmaids and I go at our own pace. A few other things to note: - Nearly all dresses are strapless - No beaded dresses - all you gals who want something sparkly, leave now - Vera likes a subtle drop waist for a majority of her gowns. Few gowns cinch at your natural waist. This wasn't ideal for me, but they are able to raise the waist slightly when they order your gown - Many things are customizable, e.g. straight necklines can be made sweetheart. Be sure to ask your consultant/stylist - Dresses start at around ~5000 I was generally happy with my experience,. The dresses are definitely pricey, and some of them may have been a little frou frou for me (I am a clean lines kind of girl), but that didn't stop me from finding a dress I loved. I plan to look at two or three more stores but wouldn't be surprised if I went back for it! read more

Visited this store multiple times to find my evening dress for my upcoming wedding. I can tell that the ladies there works as a team, multiple of them went above and beyond to help me and my mother pick out our dresses. We are very happy with their service and our purchases. Not to mention the styles are very upscale and amazingly beautiful. Im too lazy to write out every single thing they did right, but in summary they deserve nothing less than all 5 stars! read more

I was THISSSSSSSSS close to buying my wedding dress from Vera Wang, but ultimately, I decided to go with a different one. However, my decision was made even more difficult by the beautiful gowns Vera had to offer and the wonderful personalities at the store - especially David. My original appointment was made when the store was still on Melrose. However, I received a call the week before my appointment and was informed that my appointment would have to be moved because the store was set to move to Rodeo. The staff was very flexible and friendly about finding another time for me to come in. I parked at one of the 2 hour free public parking lots on Brighton and Rodeo. My maid of honor and I were greeted with offers of champagne or water (of course we opted for the champagne). We pretty much had the store to ourselves for about 1.5 hours and I tried on about 4-5 gowns. They were all gorgeous (as you would expect). The only difficulty was the lighting - the upstairs area is fairly dimly lit, so I couldn't get any good pictures. If I could, I would have bought the dress I fell in love with at Vera AND the dress I ended up buying! Best of luck to all the brides looking for their dream dress! read more

I had the most memorable experience not just buying the gown but also the fitting. The three ladies that were helping us were so friendly and sweet. One of them was the corporate manager that was visiting from New York office (I think her name may be Ashley) and the older lady was just so friendly and warm like a family member! They truly made me feel excited to buy my dress. Fitting was the best experience thanks to Paul. He made it MORE THAN PERFECT!!!! I thought I was really picky but if you have the pleasure to meet him he knows how to make you look even better on your big day!!!! I could not thank Paul enough as he literally made additional alterations (free of charge) to create the "perfect look" - something I cannot tell right away but when looking back at the photos, it was simply perfect. Purchased my wedding gown here in December. First of all, David is amazing. I told him what I wanted and he went into the backroom to get a dress at the same time my dad had chosen the same exact dress on the racks.
