Oh my gosh where do I start... Needless to say, COVID-19 has had quite an impact on the dress shopping experience for brides. My initial appointment at Winnie was in April but it got pushed to May and then again to June, which was really disappointing. However, Abegail at Winnie Couture contacted me to let me know they were doing virtual appointments with brides to get the process started. I took her up on her offer and I loved being able to see the dresses we had picked out together based on my style preferences. I was able to narrow it down to 3 dresses from that virtual appointment alone! I was finally able to go into Winnie in June and Abegail made sure I had the best experience ever. I was the only bride there, which made the whole experience very personal - not to mention their space is gorgeous. I fell in love with one of the dresses, but there were a couple of changes/additions I wanted to make. Although Abegail didn't have the answers or prices at that moment in time, she promised she would find out and let me know (which she did very promptly). I still had another appointment to go to and I was feeling anxious about making a decision. Not once did I feel pressured by Abegail, and she even recommended I get all of my appointments out of the way so that I didn't feel any regrets. After all of my appointments, I could not stop thinking about that dress at Winnie. Abegail helped me set up another appointment so that I could show the dress to my mom, and it was even better than the first time I went! It felt like I had known Abegail forever, and the whole experience felt so special. Again, I did not feel pressured or rushed at any point to make a decision, which might be what made my decision so easy! I finally said yes to the dress and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Winnie on its own was good experience. My interaction with them up until the dress was picked up was wonderful. The store itself had a good selection of beautiful styles, and the staff I worked with were very patient, helpful, and considerate as I worked through choosing my dress. The reason for dropping this down to 2 stars was due to the very negative experience I had with the tailor (Maria of VIP Couture Bridal Alterations) they highly recommended. Going above a recommendation, without asking me they actually pre-coordinated that Maria to come to the bridal shop as I picked up my dress so she could perform the initial fitting there and take it back with her to begin working on it. I had trusted them up to this point, so continued to trust their insistence on working with Maria. Although Maria had 7 weeks, my dress never fit correctly, and the whole thing wasn't completed until the night (10 pm drop off) before I left for my wedding. The delays and uncertainty caused me tremendous stress the week before my wedding, to the point that I was losing sleep and searching for backup dresses. My last fitting lasted over two hours because I had to stay and watch her finish the work. I believe she had taken on too many clients, and unfortunately, I ended up being the one who suffered for it. I do definitely recommend Winnie Bridal as place to search for your dress, but do not recommend using their references for other services. WINNIE COUTURE RUINED MY WEDDING DRESS, WON'T REFUND US, AND HAS TREATED ME AND MY PARENTS LIKE TRASH THROUGHOUT OUR DEALINGS WITH THEM. I bought my wedding dress from Winnie Couture in Beverly Hills and they made an error with my dress order - the bodice is a different pattern with a completely different neckline, and is very unattractive. I had to buy a second dress from another shop 2 weeks before my wedding because this dress is unwearable. At the time I picked up the dress at Winnie Couture, I was in a lot of distress over how drastically different the dress looked and signed the paperwork under duress because it was 6 weeks out from my wedding and I had already paid a deposit of $2,000. The store kept insisting that the dress was fine and took no accountability for their error. I'm at a loss on what I can do to get my money back of $4,300. It's been heartbreaking to be treated like this by a wedding shop. I can't even describe the amount of stress that Winnie Couture has forced me and my parents to endure in the month leading up to the wedding. After I picked up the dress, I spent over a day crying hysterically over the situation because this was my dream dress that I had ordered months before, and it was distressing to have it look drastically different. My father called the regional sales manager Allison and explained the situation and tried to request a new dress or a refund. Instead, she told us to take it to the seamstress that does their alterations, and that she would be able to restore it to a sweetheart neckline and that they would pay for the corrections. The seamstress they had us go to was extremely rude and difficult. At first she told us that it was impossible to fix it and that I should buy a new dress so my father called the manager Allison to relay that information to her. Allison then called the seamstress while we were there and the seamstress told her over the phone "No problem. I can fix this and do the alterations you want. It will be fine." My dress was essentially held hostage there while we were waiting for Winnie Couture to pay them for their alteration costs. The seamstress wasn't able to correct the neckline and made it a scoop neck instead of a sweetheart neckline, and the entire bodice and dress still looked ill-fitting. It would have been impossible to wear for the wedding without thousands of additional dollars and weeks more of tailoring. At this point, we decided that the Winnie Couture dress wasn't wearable and that I needed to buy a new dress from a shop called Lili Bridals in Tarzana. The staff at Lili Bridals went above and beyond to be helpful to my mother and I. I found another dress off the rack in my size and bought it so I could quickly find another tailor who could do alterations in a 2 week time frame. It probably wasn't a dress I would have chosen if I had more time, but the first dress was completely unwearable. My father spent the next couple of weeks trying to communicate with Winnie Couture's regional manager Allison, and asked to return the dress and get the money back for it. We consider it a breach of contract by the business to have delivered a dress that doesn't look like what was ordered. Allison has been rude to my father during the few times she has responded to him, and is refusing to give a refund. My father even brought the dress in person to the shop yesterday to try to return it, and they refused it and asked him to leave. It baffles me that Winnie Couture would behave in this way when they have their own factory and multiple shops around the country. I feel like they could have easily remade or found me a correct dress in my size, or could have easily refunded their error. No other bride should have to go through the stress that I have had to deal with. My mom literally said that she felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman where she goes to the shop on Rodeo Drive and they treat her like trash and kick her out. We have given them every opportunity to correct this situation before I wrote this negative review. Still 5 stars and literally everything stands in my previous review. I just want to write an update, since I saw some lower star reviews, due to the location, etc. I did a full on custom order and had to go in again, for additional measurements, etc. The girls let me know the shop had moved, from my original visit, when they called. First off -- yes, the new TEMPORARY location is tiny. The shop was forced to move, as the city has sped up building the Metro Purple line....and a stop is going right where their old location used to be. Personally, I like the new location (not the temporary showroom, JUST the location!) better. It's more central to the rest of Beverly Hills. As for the size of the shop--again, it is temporary! They actually have the entire west side, upstairs of the building--it is just being remodeled, so they unfortunately had to take the two rooms they could get. As they were forced out so quickly, they had to rush to find a spot. Unfortunately, these things happen. While I do agree that this should be communicated to everyone--my experience was not any less, even in the smaller space. I encourage those of you who had not-great-experiences to give a call back (if you have time before your wedding!) and try to see them when the new shop is open. I can't rave enough about Winnie Couture and their bridal specialists! Back in November I went to 6 stores and tried on over 30 dresses but didn't love any of them. I started calling around to see where had availability to try on dresses and Winnie's did! They treated us like queens! Tessa was so sweet and helpful! Last Friday, I started my day with a fight with my fiancé, all of my bridesmaids working, no one else could join me, and I had just gotten news from a different salon that they couldn't keep their promise of ordering a sample gown I had my eyes on for the last year, so my mood was less than joyous. This was the 8th salon I had been to and there wasn't much hope left for me to find the dress of my dreams. I sat down with Brittany and literally told her, "I'm glad you're enthusiastic about this, 'cause I'm not anymore." I think any of the previous consultants I worked with would have cowered away, but Brittany stayed graceful, then confidently told me "We are going to find your dress today!" We toured the salon, discussed my likes and dislikes and since I was alone she helped me pull dresses. The changing room was very comfortable, plush carpet, private and they cranked the a/c when I started sweating. So the very first dress I put on turned my frown upside down, it was absolutely stunning! I had my wedding dress customized front Winnie. The dress was fabulous but the experience I had at the end was very upsetting! I just want to leave some feedback here so the business owner can take it seriously. I got my dress customized made and I went back twice to do my measurements. However, two weeks before my wedding date when I picked up my dress. I tried it on and the dress was too tight on the bottom and I couldn't sit down and I couldn't lift up my arms because the bottom of the dress was pulling the sleeves (due to the tightness, it was a triumph/mermaid style). But the staff there kept telling me my dress was fine, it was so normal to feel that way, etc. I knew it from my instinct that my wedding dress has something wrong! Because I was the one wearing it! I was crying and thought about I would have to wear some other dresses I bought...and I was questioning the whole thing because wedding can be really stressful！ So even I tried to talk to them about how off the dress was. They kept trying to change my mind, to avoid any liabilities/costs to re-do it. Anyway, they paid half of my tailoring fee which is $300...so I still have to pay for another half. And the tailor was amazing! Otherwise, I couldn't imagine how I went through my big day... Anyway, the management! Please really take care of your brides and DON'T LIE to their faces! Marlin, my bridal consultant, was such a sweetheart and had the best people reading skills of all the bridal consultants I met with. Without a doubt, she can help any picky bride select out a dress that will make them feel radiant, and want to wear their wedding dress everyday. Not only are Winnie's gowns beautiful crafted and well constructed, the wonderful thing is that I was able to mix and match different styles since all the dresses are made in-house, instead of carrying a number of designers on the racks. Driving west on Wilshire, you probably would miss this bridal couture flagship store. It is barely over a week old. Winnie Couture is about haute couture (yeah, I had to wiki it too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haute_couture), and the store is like a private candy store for brides, showcasing beautiful dreamy gowns. With an appointment, I had the entire store to myself with two welcoming and friendly associates, Amanda and Carly. They were prepared when I walked in - the dresses in which I was interested were already hanging in the spacious fitting room. They were very helpful with suggestions and recommendations, and tirelessly helped me in and out of the many wedding gowns I tried. They were like the perfect bridesmaids. The store itself is a wow-factor. The high ceilings, brown and pink theme, well-organized racks arranged by dress styles, sparkling jewelry display cases and veils may be expected but you should see how many chandeliers there are in this space. They really add sparkle. Functional-speaking, there are three fitting areas, each in its own corner of the store, equipped with couches for audience. Brides can feel special and comfortable having their own private space should there be other brides around. The gowns are just lovely. It is almost impossible to narrow down to one - they are all so pretty! You can see for yourself on the website, but the dress can turn any broad into Cinderella. (note - Dramatization. Actual results may vary). Most gowns are made in satin but they can also be made in silk. Customization and custom tailoring is the cornerstone of haute couture and you can definitely customize any dress - from the color to the neckline to the hem, the material, anything - into the dress of your dream. I never considered buying a designer dress for my wedding but when the designer's name is the same as yours, it's a little hard to resist. Prices are pretty reasonable and the sales associates are upfront about it as soon as you are ready to talk money. Take advantage of their grand opening offer, which I believe ends June 15. 15% off is good money! Oh gosh! I have a tough decision to make... I walked into Winnie Couture figuring I would just try on dresses that were way too puffy and so not my style... I had very little hopes. I mean, prior to going to this dress shop, I learned that the prices were all above $2k and I just couldn't cost justify that! That being said... I shockingly found TWO dresses that I am in love with and now I have a tough decision to make! The store itself is extremely clean and well maintained (and if you're looking to have a few drinks- campaign is offered complimentary). It has a ton of dresses to try on, ranging from princess to mermaid to "simple"... And the stylists are very attentive and helpful. We pulled 8 dresses and as I said, narrowed it down to two. The only reason why I am in fact truly considering them is because Winnie was having a SAMPLE SALE so prices were 50% off! The dresses I love were about $2k, yet with the sample sale discount, they're just under $1k. While I will think that's pricy, for Los Angeles/Beverly Hills... That's a friggin' steal! So why do I feel the pressure to have to select one NOW? Well, because the dresses are LEAVING THE STORE TOMORROW!!! Gah! We shall see! Before the dresses could even catch my eye, we were greeted by Savannah. She immediately made this process so fun and special. She asked what type of style I was going for, and when I said I was open to anything, that's what we did, we tried on everything! She had so much knowledge about each dress and if there was a small detail that wasn't my style, she was sure to inform me that it could be changed since each dress is made specifically for you. If you're in the area and looking to go dress shopping, I highly recommend you come here! Loved my experience here! Although I did not end up getting my wedding dress here, I thought that the great service and beautiful dresses/ambiance deserved a review. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if possible, but since that's not an option, I'd rather go higher than lower. I ended up meeting with Christy, who was my bridal stylist. She was very attentive and was upfront about asking me what my budget was and what design I was looking for. This was the first store I visited, so I really had no idea what I was doing. Christy talked through designs and dress fabrics with me and was so helpful. What made the experience great and comfortable was that she was asking me about the proposal and wedding, really trying to get to know me. There was very little pressure to pull the trigger, which I appreciated. Trust me, I do NOT do well with pushy salespeople...and luckily Christy wasn't that type of person. She did follow up with a phone call and card, which was really nice. Unfortunately, since I was in the midst of making a big move, I wasn't able to get back to her in a timely manner, and when I did, she was still very kind. The ambiance of the store was nice! It felt very private and posh...very girly. Some of the dresses could've been in better shape for trying on, but that's the way it goes when you have tons of girls coming in and trying things on. I ended up finding 'the one' (this time the dress, not the man) at another boutique. It had nothing to do with the customer service or the dresses at Winnie Couture. I thought to myself how I will make the dress, the dress will not make me. I began the wedding dress hunt by looking on Pinterest and imagining my venue. I wanted to create an elegant, romantic, but sexy vibe. A bridal shop that I always had my eyes on was Winnie Couture in Beverly Hills, CA. I booked my appointment right away! I invited my mother, grandmother, and maid of honor. As I entered the store, I noticed all the beautiful details. The velvet couches, the dainty chairs, the huge mirrors, and the sparkling chandeliers emitted an enchanting feeling. The girly scent in the shop was calming and crisp. We were greeted by Monika Manvelian, the store manager. She was gorgeous and super sweet! Little did I know, she would be my consultant. We began by taking a tour of the shop as she explained the differences in the dresses they sold. We ended the tour by having my loved ones and I browse and pull any dresses that I was interested in trying on. I began trying on the dresses! We eliminated a few because they didn't flatter my body as we thought they would. Then, I tried on "the one." As I looked at myself in the mirror with the dress on, I couldn't help but think of my fiance. I pictured him speechless as I walked down the aisle to him. I got chills all over my body. I kept touching the dress and turning around to look at it from different angles. We tried one more on after that, but it didn't compare. Once I got back into "the one" my consultant dressed me up! She chose a veil, jewelry and shoes for me. In that instant, I definitely shed a few tears of joy and excitement. My soul was happy. After I took my best friend here to try on wedding dresses for her wedding (and she said yes to the dress here) I knew when it was my time, I'd be coming back...and I did! There were several things about my time and experience at Winnie that stood out to me... 1. The first time I went was with my fiance because she is a she. Both our families wanted to see us try dresses on and we thought it would be a good idea (at the time) to do this all together. Two brides meant twice the amount of an entourage. We had about 18 people in tow with us that day. The ladies at Winnie were amazing! They were beyond accommodating to us and our families. Little did I know...I found my dress that day... 2. When I went back for the second time, I knew I wanted to try on one dress. It was the last dress I had tried on the time previously, but was too overwhelmed -- and hungry -- to say or do anything about it. This time, I went with just my mom. It was peaceful. And fun. And special. 3. Aside from the service they provide at Winnie, the environment is welcoming and grand. You walk into a beautiful space fit for a queen. The dresses are all beautiful; the dressing rooms are all large with lush and soft carpeting. They have bouquets and veils and accessories up the wazoo for you to try and play with to make you feel like the blushing bride you are. 4. Once I said yes to my dress, there were several deadlines they promised, such as when the dress would first be ready, second fittings, alterations, etc. Not only were they always ahead of scheduled, they always called without me ever having the thought to check in with them. The bottom line? I loved my dress on the day of my wedding. I love my dress now. And I am looking forward to creating as many vow renewals as possible with my wife so I can keep putting the dress back on! read more

I had a great experience with Winnie Couture! Christy was the associate that helped me from start to finish, and she was so amazing! I had been to a few bridal shops with my mom and even found a few dresses I thought might be right, but when I went to Winnie Couture I found the dress I knew was the one. When I first tried on my dress I felt like there was no reason to keep looking...it was perfect! Christy was great about helping me make changes to the gown. While I loved the shape and overall look of my dress, I wasn't a big fan of the beading and I wanted a completely different neckline to flatter my smaller frame. Christy was knowledgable and helped me figure out exactly what to change and had the dress custom made to my size. She was also available to help me over email which was awesome! I love this store. The store is very beautiful and elegant. The staff is excellent. Not being the type of gal to read bridal magazines and visit the bridal websites, I had no idea that I was supposed to order my dress six months ago, for my wedding. Needless to say, I freaked out when one of my friends told me that. I actually found them here on yelp and decided I might as well give them a call. They scheduled an appointment for me right away, and dealt with all my questions. I called the store a few times before my appointment. Each time I was greeted by a friendly staff member. My appointment was with Rebecka. She was very knowledgeable and encouraged me to try on as many styles as I wanted. I told her my budget and she showed me a ton of dresses that were within the budget I gave her. T I think picked out 9 or 10 different dresses. When I tried on my third dress (Zeala) I knew that it was THE ONE! I didn't want to try on anything else. There was no pressure for me to keep looking or for me to buy something more expensive. They do offer rush services for the dress delivery. The rush service is $80.00 for every month that they have to rush. Yes it's expensive, so girls get your dress first. My dress will be here on May 7th. I can't wait to wear it. read more

The selection of styles provides a dress for literally every bride no matter what she's looking for! Don't be intimidated by the Beverly Hills location, they have dresses for all budgets! Not sure where to begin except for... TODAY I SAID YES TO THE DRESS!!!! Tori could not have been more easy to work with, helpful, and sweet. She was patient and her follow through was excellent. She gave plenty of recommendations but also gave me and my mom a little space too! This was officially my first and last dress I tried on and I couldn't have been happier!! The store was extremely clean and I felt safe. Considering the COVID- 19 changes, Tori was incredible at still making it a fun, fabulous, and stress free experience! Winnie Couture is the place to go! I recently got my wedding dress from there with the help of the wonderful Tori! After trying dresses on at a couple different places, I wasn't sure I'd find my dream dress until I found the ONE at Winnie. When I booked my appointment, Tori kindly sent me a beautiful personalized video tour of the boutique along with some dresses she had picked out for me based on my preferences! Additionally, she quickly set up an online portal for me to browse the different styles and pick out some dresses to try on! In fact, Tori actually picked out the actual dress I ended up saying yes to and it was EVERYTHING I had ever dreamed of and could ever imagine! Tori truly has incredible taste! Additionally, Winnie is extremely accommodating to different timelines. I went into Winnie a little less than 5 months before my wedding date, and they were able to make my custom dress in under three months in time for my big day! It is truly beautiful!! I tried calling and emailing the customer service department in Beverly Hills (headquarter office) many times, but nobody responded to me. I went to the headquarter store in Beverly Hills location in person, nobody from management group nor customer service responded to me. I ordered a wedding dress at Winnie couture Houston location. Their stylist/sell-person did my body measurements at the store and recorded the numbers on their own documents. 6 months later when I went to pick up the dress I noticed the dress was not made based on my body measurements and it was not the quality which was shown to me on the first day. They informed me that they had fired the stylist/sell-person who did my body measurements and there's nothing they can do for me. No dress replacement, no money refund no apologies. I tried emailing, calling and speaking to their store manager and customer service department many times but they did not respond to me. They didn't solve the issue and left me unanswered. This happened when it was close to my wedding date and I ended up buying a dress from a different company. I felt devastated about the whole situation. If you are a bride-to-be I highly recommend to stay away from this corporation. read more
