Joe did an excellent job handling a fairly serious bed bug problem brought in by one of our tenants. The issue was severe enough to require him to come out three times to make sure the job was properly completed, and each time I called him, he came back out, no complaints and no questions asked. One time he came by to spray when I wasn't home (with a temp door entry code), and he brought in a couple of very large packages that had been delivered and left at my front door without mention of it. I had one visit, in September 2020, after a stellar recommendation from my neighbor. The owner, Joe, came, and he was very nice and personable. He walked my kitchen and bathrooms, and sprayed all areas. He mentioned that he was out of the gel that they use in conjunction with the spray. However, he was expecting it next week. He could bring it by when they received it. Cool. Joe told me any follow up visits wouldn't be a problem; they come with the service. All I would have to do is call, or text them. So far, so good. A few weeks pass, and we start noticing the bugs again. Not a problem; we obviously need the gel as well. Surely they have it by now I text an appointment request. It's scheduled almost 2 weeks later. Not ideal, but maybe they're busy.....It's a no call, no show! I text, call the next day. The office mgr, Lisa, texts back and apologizes. Someone will be there on Monday. (It was Friday.) Again, no call, no show! I text, call repeatedly for MONTHS. No one ever got back to me. Not once. My last text was January 11th, 2021. To this day, I haven't heard from anyone. I'm reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Don't waste your money, or your time with them. WORST SERVICE!!!!!!! Do not use this company! Our house was sprayed and then we were given a receipt stating a 60 day guarantee. Days later our bug problem was back. I contacted Joe for him to come back out to the house but he didn't respond. It took 3 separate text messages to finally get a response. When he did respond, he said he would get back to me that night - NOPE. I didn't hear from him until I texted again days later. We scheduled a time and then he didn't show up. He rescheduled to another date and then DIDN'T SHOW UP AGAIN! I texted to see where he was and the text didn't go through. I demanded a refund for breach of contract so that I could pay a REAL company to come take care of my bug problem and still no response. This is lack of professionalism is absurd! If you've got bed bugs, do yourself a huge favor and call Joe. We'd been dealing with them for 5 months after picking them up in a hotel. First we tried treating the problem ourselves, which is just a giant waste of time and money. After that, the management at our apartment had two different companies spray our place for a total of 6 TIMES!!! Every time the bugs would disappear for about a week and then return with a vengeance. We did everything we were supposed to, from drying all of our clothes to getting bug traps around our bed and furniture. We even got rid of furniture in a desperate attempt. Nothing worked. I initially went with Orkin, but last minute decided to look into a cheaper alternative and I found Venom on Thumbtack. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and very emphatheic towards my situation since this was my first time having a pest problem (carpenter beetles) in my bedroom. I used Joe previously and had a totally different experience the second time. Unfortunately, my negative review is similar to others listed on Yelp for Venom Pest Control. It has cost me over $700 with Joe and we still have a pest problem. In his advertisement, Joe offers a year warranty and for bed bugs he states he will remove the outlets to spray in the walls. None of that happened. I could tell after the first spray, he did a terrible job. He didn't fully spray the second bedroom so they traveled to that room. Everything got worse. I tried to take advantage of the warranty and set another appointment which Joe did not show up for. This went on for months and he finally got back with me after I filed a complaint with the Structural Pest Control Board (https://pestboard.ca.gov/). If you have had a bad experience, please file a complaint. Otherwise, businesses like this will continue to take advantage of consumers with no repercussions. read more

Joe ROCKS!! I had another exterminator come in to deal with my bed bugs prior to calling Joe. The bed bugs came back in full force, In fact. I don't remember the problem ever leaving after the first exterminator came. Then i was told by this other exterminator that I needed to tent my house to really solve the problem.
