I do not ever take pain medication, other than Tylenol, and was not looking to have surgery (maybe…read morerepeat injections or ablation). I have had chronic pain in my neck and right shoulder for 35+years from arthritis complicated scoliosis, hypermobility, degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis, and slightly bulging discs. I saw her 3 times and vowed not to go back. I explained what I have been dealing with and for how long. She told me "that doesn't make sense" (I have several hot spots in my neck and shoulder that radiate), "that pain has nothing to do with your neck" (referred pain), and "you told me last time it was the other fingers" ( the pain is episodic and affects different areas depending on my activity). I stopped trying to explain at this point. She had not looked at my MRI before the appointment. When I went in the second time, she went through a list of spinal problems she saw in the MRI after a brief look. She told me there was nothing that should be causing my pain. She sent me to physical therapy, and I voluntarily went through 2 rounds. I have been to physical therapy many, many times over the years. It has been a wonderful tool, but it works temporarily. I have pain flares even while getting this therapy. I had a nerve ablation in three vertebrae several years ago, along with needling. This lasted me almost 15 years. At the final visit, I told her it had helped. She quickly discharged me (I already knew I would not continue with her). I thought I had done something wrong...Then I looked at her reviews. HonorHealth, as a healthcare system, has been a positive experience. The desk staff is friendly, as was the medical assistant. Hopefully, she treats her coworkers better than she treats her patients.

She reviewed nothing prior to my visit and had no idea she spoke with me last month about my MRI. I told her I slipped and drank for seven days and got help and she took away my pain med (nothing big.) Between an MRI w pacemaker I have spent six hours working on these appts, all for nothing. She has no hippocratic oath. Awful.

They are all so caring! They went above and beyond to help my mother get immediate pain relief…read more When our chiropractor contacted Juli Curtin, the Senior Regional Marketing Manager, to urgently arrange an appointment, Juli not only made it happen the very next morning but also followed up the next day to check on my mother. Her genuine concern, compassion & empathy were evident as she explained that she too had an elderly mother, and she cared so much. This experience marked the beginning of the outstanding care my mother received at AZ Pain. Violetta Melkum has an extensive experience and thoroughly explained my mom's CT scan from SMIL using the model of the spine until we could fully understand all of the problems, what could be treated, and being honest about what could not. The first visit included a pain-relief shot and a professional back brace, all covered for just $30 dollars with Medicare! Dr. Jensen is so highly recommended that we are again very fortunate to have him perform the epidurals, and are grateful to Sophia Diego, the scheduler to get my mother into the schedule so quickly. Believe me, when you have debilitating pain, every day seems like a month. AZ Pain "bends over backwards" to relieve your back pain! And I love how the receptionist always says in such a warm & cheerful voice, "Hi Miss (and your first name)!" to every patient. Impressed and respectful of every aspect of AZ Pain, I'm confident in entrusting them with my own back pain once I can step away from my caregiving responsibilities. It should go without saying, but check to make sure that that accept your insurance For Medicare users - minimal co-pays cover the exceptional care you receive.
