This review is going to be short and sweet... just like the surgery that my son had to have today…read more Dr. Dean Smith was our anesthesiologist and was above and beyond incredible... both with me and my husband, but most importantly, with my son. You can tell he's highly respected amongst the staff at PCH as well. Dr. Smith's bedside manner was top notch. He prepared us for exactly what was going to happen and everything went smoothly. He spent time with us both pre-surgery and post-surgery and answered our many questions. On the bottom of Dr. Smith's business card are the words "clinical excellence" and "compassionate care." He delivered on both and we are extremely grateful.

The doctor that did the anesthesiology was great - the huge disappointment came later. I would give…read morethe Dr. 5 stars but the business 0 stars. My procedure was at the end of October 2015, this week in May 2016 I received a collections notice for money due to Valley Anesth. I called Valley Anesth. and we find they typed my address wrong and left off a number. And instead of calling me to verify the address when the mail was returned they told me they just automatically send it to collections. So terrible, I don't understand when the mail is returned they can't pick up the phone to verify they didn't make a typo? Instead I have to deal with collections. I'm thankful collections got to me before it affected my credit report but I was seriously disappointed that they do business this way.

I have been a patient at Valley Pain Consultants Estrella location for nearly 4 years. The…read moremedical and office staff have always been kind, respectful & professional. However, as for Dr. Marc Soloman and his NP Dien, "professionalism, respect & compassion" evade these two individuals. At my last appointment both men displayed disrespectful & unprofessional behaviors, lacked knowledge & apparent communication between themselves, and with me as the patient, pertaining to my medical records and issues. Both men, became aggressive and hostile towards me, telling me, amongst many other things, that "I'm kicked out of pain management and can leave." This is something that I have discovered after doing some online research, that Dr. Soloman has a history of doing to a MULTITUDE of other patients under his "supposed care." As well as having an extremely overall poor rating of a 2.8 on a plethora of multi-media & medical platforms via the Internet. I was abruptly dismissed because I dared to take NP Dien & Dr. Soloman to task over their lack of knowledge, communication & record keeping. I have multiple skeletal and spinal issues, including osteoarthritis, RA & multiple surgeries, including a double fusion of my lower spine, all documented. I have requested no opiates in close to 2 years, & have only used opiates a total of 3 months in all since being a patient at VPC. I have only requested epidural blocks and/or cortisone shots to help me manage my pain. Last I looked, they are being paid very well to provide me medical care. They by no means are "doing me a favor." Due to their grossly arrogant & unprofessional behavior, I find it absolutely necessary to file a formal complaint/grievance against Dr. Marc Soloman and NP Dien with the Arizona Medical Board. I spoke with the Office Manager of VPC at the time of this incident (and she is also a witness to Dr. Soloman's actions i.e.throwing my MRI results down on the medical tray in front of his Office Manager and myself telling me "You're overreacting. You can leave!" And then storming out of the exam room like petulant child, instead being a PROFESSIONAL ADULT & speaking to me about the matter.) After Dr. Soloman's unprofessional display, the OM was apologetic & told me she would speak with the both of them and call me later that day. It has now been 2 weeks and I am still waiting for her call, that apparently isn't coming. I then proceeded to voluntarily discharge myself from Valley Pain Consultants Estrella & let the front office staff know why I was doing so. Not only was Dr. Soloman & NP Dien behavior insulting, but it was hurtful as well to have someone, especially a doctor, that I once had the utmost respect for, to literally become a Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde right before my eyes. This kind of behavior from a Doctor especially one who is dealing with patients, like myself, who are suffering from chronic pain, for lack of a better word, is disgusting. Perhaps the AZ Medical Board should do some of their own research into Dr. Marc Soloman's deplorable behavior, as I did & read up on the mountain of similar complaints against Dr. Soloman from so many other patients he has mistreated & "kicked out" of Valley Pain Consultants Estrella location. Shameful.

I spoke on the phone with them numerous times and she had an appointment with the Dr who acted like he cared. What a joke!!! We showed up for the procedure and they said sorry we can't do it we don't take your insurance!!! I asked them why would they schedule this and why wouldn't they have mentioned this before we got there. Again I had spoke to them numerous times and my Mom had seen the Dr already. They just said sorry. Next in line!!! When I asked if we could just pay for it at our expense they couldn't even tell me what they charge not even a ballpark figure. What a scam!!! They are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS!!! DON'T GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR TIME!! They will just keep racking up the $$$$ it's only about that for them!!!! Wish I could give them negative stars!!! It's sad that no one is willing to help an 80 year old woman that wants to die because she is in so much pain and they know she has a pinched nerve causing it!!!! Beyond frustrating!!!!

Valley Anesthesiology Consultants - Website could never validate patients birthdate. Even though I called and made sure they had it right.

Haven't paid the bill they said was for me because my child never had any surgery nor pain medication offered during the visit or as a follow-up. I'll contact Phoenix Children's Hospital to ensure I even have a bill and if I must go through this business ..however in the time being I'll ignore their text message. Giving a rating a 2 because I haven't worked with them and I'm giving them the benefit of my doubts.

A bit worried here as calling them leads to a dead phone number that automatically hangs up and the website linked on Google and Yelp leads me to an inactive site that tries to install some scammy-looking apps. Called my hospital, Banner Health and my ENT and nobody knows how to reach these guys. Sad because my anesthesiologist was pretty friendly and knowledgeable but the billing support and communication needs to be way better. Update: Did some digging and found out they use a 3rd party called Envision Physician Services though I still can't reach anyone or see my bill. (Finally reached someone using the number Katie linked below. Resharing just in case) Their billing department number is 888-233-8826 Their website is: valley.md

There were problems with communication, scheduling etc but Elisa has come in and has fixed most of those issues. Most doctors don't care to give you their time, even when Richard is not getting paid for it, he centralizes his attention on you. He is outstanding and worth what other problems there are. The review where they said they leave you in the waiting room. True, however, they don't rush you out of the room until you are ready. When you are ready they assist you to the waiting room and pay attention to you while you wait for your ride. The review where they said the experience was bad. The machine beeps loud. You have to be monitored. If your smart, you put on headphones and and eye mask with serene music and your experience is good. People choose bad music or no music and have their own bad experiences. Once I accidentally put on a grave yard sound and the experience wasn't great. That's not their fault. Absolutely weird to blame the staff for that. Not every experience will be perfect but if you take the right steps it will be fine. As well, you have a button that rings pretty loud for them to come help you no matter what. They check on you every 5-10 min. If the experience is bad, you made it bad. I have a friend who breaks down every so often but she listens to trash. The staff does everything now to make sure you have what you need, scheduling is on point. Etc all because of Elisa. I cannot praise her enough. ASK FOR ELISA and WORK WITH RICHARD. He will work with you.
