They predictably have a ton of IPA's, I'm sure they're good but I want browns, stouts and porters. I have a dream that more breweries will brew more darker beers. I don't need 10 ipa choices. I'll get off my soapbox now. So we love this place it's dog friendly, and has a good vibe. Service was quick and friendly and the place was very clean.

We stayed for 2 of the 3 sets. It was frickin loud, we danced, great set list. Lots of Tom Petty and Led Zeppelin with a sprinkling of Boingo's Dead Mans Party, ZZ Top, the Cult, Stones, Queen, Boobie Bros, Fleetwood Mac, and Foo Fighters Everlong in between. The trumpeting on Dead Man's Party, rocked! I didn't order any food nor drink. We were headed to dinner afterward and I drove. I took a sip of K's hard Root beer, I thought it was a porter. It tasted good but not a drink I'd usually order. There's an outdoor patio area with heaters as well as heaters inside near the mini stage. There were plenty of tables and chairs, no problem getting a seat. There were two all gender single use restrooms near the front. I'm not from the area and it was raining so I completely passed Porterfield Way (a driveway). It's in an industrial park in the back.

I had visited Strum Brewery on a Thursday night with a friend. I had noticed that they didn't have dinner entrees for sale, so I had gotten birria tacos from two blocks down to bring with me. I had entered right upon opening, and had felt a sense of comfort being there. There was coloring paper on random tables alongside cute, random ballon characters/animals. There was a lot of pride representation and support scattered around, too. This brewery is also very supportive of pet adoption as it is advertised on their coasters. I was able to see the brewery cat for the first thirty minutes. So adorable! I had ordered their Purple Haze Hazy IPA twice! It quenched my thirst on a super hot day! They had AC fans going and it was nice inside. The beertenders were sweet and you can tell they're a good time! Nearly the time we left, they had live performers singing on stage. It was very nice to see! Absolutely will be visiting here again whenever possible.

In looking at their upcoming offerings, I was impressed with the wide array of musical talent, trivia nights, and deaf/hard of hearing dance nights. The walls and counters display art by local artists. LGBTQ + flags are present. You got games available to play over here and community fliers to peruse over there. Wanna buy some jewelry by an Indy artist? Got that too! Overall, the vibe here is cozy, welcoming, friendly, and really feels like a hub for folks to gather over a pint. The community spirit is solid. My seltzer was delish! The friendly bartender suggested an addition of raspberry, so yes indeedy, please! Mmm! My friend liked her beer, but she likes hers icy cold, so she said she would've enjoyed it more if it had been colder. Indeed, beer not withstanding, it was pretty warm inside, and could've done with some airflow. At a point someone opened the front door. We knew from parking in the back, that there was no entrance/exit there for a breezeway. If you do park in the lot behind, you'll need to walk around the corner. As an avid beer drinker, Rescue Brewery is one of my go-to breweries in the area. It is always clean, has friendly staff, and has great brews and food! Before sitting down, you're supposed to order your beers with the nice beertenders at the front. I usually get the Haze Against The Machine. They also have a good menu and a happy hour! I had ordered their garlic fries and their poke nachos. The beertenders gives you a number, then you can display it at the table of your choice. The atmosphere inside is nice' they have cute string lights placed all around. They're also usually playing modern music or country. It does get a bit loud in there dependent on how many people are inside. Their garlic fries are very crispy and have garlic pieces sprinkled on top. The sauce it comes with is addicting. My favorite is definitely their poke nachos! It has an abundant amount of tuna sprinkled over it with jalapeños, pickled onions, pickled radishes, and their delicious sauce. Their wonton chips are very crunchy, too! I washed it down with my IPA that was super hazy and crisp. I've been here a few times, but forget to check in/do a review. I didn't forget this time!
